Wyatt had not played league baseball in long time but the coach said he kept up very well and got a hit for the winning run for one of the games! Austin was chosen to play for the "Future Stars All Stars" League and did fantastic, according to Austin, the best part is getting the hat with the Star on it and his name on the back! He also atended baseball camp and besides having a great time, he improved his swing and is now unstoppable! He is about to start Fall Ball, so we had 1 month without baseball, they will be playing teams in other towns. We are so excited because she is learning so much, she is counting and spelling words on the computer that Granddaddy got her for Christmas 7-29-08 NEWSFLASH...WYATT AND AUSTIN BOTH CAUGHT THEIR FIRST FISH AT SPRING LAKE ON 7-26-08!!! 7-28-08 Sydney only has 2 more weeks as a "Minnow" then she moves up to an "Angelfish" with the 3-4 year olds. We will miss her teachers so much, she really loved it. She had so much fun in LA, she LOVED the Log Ride, she is still talking about it now. She keeps asking me "Will go on the Log Ride tomorrow?" She also loved the Swim Day we had at Aunt Dianas and Uncle Sams and she has adopted Cousin Jenni, she calls her "My Jenni". Wyatt is going to tennis camp and he looks forward to it every week. In LA he did alot of swimming and got to see where Mom went to elementary school...which he loved! His favorite ride at Knotts Berry Farm was the "Silver Bullet" Wyatt had Mom and Dad go on it with him and Dad's reaction was "It was a good smooth ride", Moms reaction was "Thank God I didnt die" Wyatts favorite memory of our trip was making Smores on the last night. Austin finished camp and he is still going to tennis camp. We just got back from LA and the Austin learned how to do a flip off of the diving board at Aunt Dianas and Uncle Sams. Austins favorite ride at Knotts Berry Farm was the Log Ride (a classic) and he said his favorite memory of our trip was also making Smores on the last night with everyone. 7/24/08 - We just got back from our family vacation! We went to our familys house and Knotts Berry Farm and boy did we have fun!!! The first day we went to Moms elementary school and saw Sue's new classroom (she is now a full time 3rd grade teacher) and Mom got to see one of her PE Teachers who is still there! From there we went out to luch with Sue at the Cheesecake Factory and then went off to The Adams House. The kids immediatly started swimming and we had cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory for dessert. The next day it was off to Knotts Berry Farm with Cousin Jenni, she was a trooper with all of the kids! We split up and Dad took the boys and Jenni, Mom and Sydney went on the rides at Camp Snoopy. We all met back up for lunch and then went to see "Snoopy On Ice, which was a nice break ( I actually caught Wyatt taking a snooze) Then it was off to the Log Ride which all of us went on and Sydney liked that the most! We stayed together after that, Wyatt took Dad and then Mom on that Silver Bullet ride, which to be honest, I think I am now too old for because I kept thinking how I might never see my kids grow up as the ride took off on the upsidedown nightmare that lasted a good minute!!! Jenni and Wyatt went on a ride called the Pony Express where you are strapped onto a horse on a rollercoaster, which did look fun and then back to the Log Ride for Sydney and Mom. We all went on the Stagecoach ride and even now Sydney tells everyone how the horses were "stinky". We left at about 8:00 and got back to the house where Aunt Diana saved us from another bad, cold $50.00 meal in the park with yummy, hot food. The next day was Swim Day, the kids and Dad and Mom were in the pool almost all day (the boys were in for at least 7 hours) we BBQed and hung around the pool all day. At night we all roasted marshmellows and made Smores. Sydney was so tired all of the nights that she actually had to ask us to go to bed!!!! The next morning we slowly got ready and after lunch Aunt Diana had a surprise for the kids and set up a sundae bar! We all had some icecream (got the kids hopped up on sugar) and then hopped in the car for our long journey home. It was so great to see our family since now we only see Jenni, Uncle Sam and Aunt Diana at Christmas time, we missed Joey, it wasnt the same without him and his family though. We cannot thank them enough for inviting us into their home, making us feel welcome and giving our kids such great memories! I will say though, Dad started to get used to waking up to the smell of a home cooked breakfast, I felt bad for him since on Monday morning all he heard was the sound of a cereal box shaking out his breakfast into a bowl... 7/16/08 - Sydney is Buzz Lightyear. She flys around the house and yells "To Infinite and Beyond" everywhere she goes! She tells Mom that she is "Woody" and has Mom put on Sydneys cowboy hat to play, its so very cute! Its funny because Toy Story was Wyatts all time favorite movie when he was little! We also just found out that Sydney will be an "Angel Fish" next year in school! We are so excited! 7/15/08 - Its been awhile since we updated last...Uncle Bret is in town with Eitan, they are having fun, its so nice to Bret again and Etan has never been to America, talk about culture shock!! The boys went golfing with Dad, it was Wyatts first time ever on a golf course, he did really well for a first timer. We are going to Knotts Berry Farm so we will have great pictures when we return from that. Tomorrow I have Sydneys little parent teacher conference about her moving up to an Angelfish. 6/20/08 - Wyatt just had his state testing and he recieved a score in the middle 400's out of a possible 500!!! Late in May his whole class is going to Cazadero for a 3 day camp out to learn about science and nature! Sydney just loves Preschool, she comes home almost every night singing a new song! Last night it was "Where is Thumbkin", it was so cute. She is also saying a prayer before we eat dinner every night, she learned that from school too. Her new favorite song is "My Green Kite", she sings it all the time. It's on the kids radio station and we had to download it for her because she kept asing for it! 5/28/08 - So, Austins team is now tied for 1st place in the second half of the season. They beat the undefeated team and have only lost against 1 team. The best part is that the whole league is recognizing the Reds as the "Best Team in the League" for their sportsmanship and great coaches!!! 5/1/08 - Sydney had a play date the other day with Lily from her preschool. Lily invited her over for a tea party, which Sydney is crazy about! They had a great time and I got to hear all about how she had a tea party and played dress up, I even got to hear from Lily's Mom what good manners Sydney has! 4/30/08 - Wyatt will be getting his report card soon, he is going to be geting all A's again, WAY TO GO! He went to his first movie without parents this last Sunday! He said he was most excited about not having to share popcorn or a soda since he was paying with his own money. His soccer season starts soon and he is ready for it, he has been practicing and will probably be a goalie again this year! We will update the website when he starts playing! Sydney is bound for American Idol. She has her microphone and sings songs like "You are my Sunshine", "Take Me out to the Ballgame", "Boots", "Happy Birthday", and lots more. She loves strawberry everything, strawberries, Strawberry Shortcake, strawberry yogurt, strawberry juice, and now her strawberry shampoo. She walks around asking everyone " I have Strawberry Hair, isnt it beautiful?" Its really very sweet.
