Stories April 17th 11lbs 10 oz * 21 1/2" Well its been quite awhile since we last updated. Everything is going great, sge is very healthy & thriving. everyday we are getting to know her better and she is constantly doing new things, we LOVE this new parent thing. Yesterday was easter, was quite the busy day, Ryley got tons of gifts for easter, if this is how much she gets for Easter, Im scared for Christmas. Work is going good for Adam. I will post some new pictures! Feb 25th almost 4 weeks old! Well, where to start.. Ryley is now 8lbs 7oz, she gained 1lb 9oz in 2 weeks since we took her to get weighed when she was 8 days old, she is thriving and this girl LOVES to eat! she sleeps really well, we've only had 2 rough nights SO FAR, but i think we have learned to deal with those: Gripe water, Bath, Food, Cuddles = one sleepy baby! we had our first baby shower on Feb 17th, hosted by Auntie Michelle @ Humptys, it was really nice AND a surprise, we had mini sandwiches & it was all decked out in pink & yellow balloons and streamers! Ryley got a lot of goodies.. Thank you Auntie Michelle :) Today is Ryleys 2nd baby shower at 7pm! I will update later on that one.. I will add some new pics, so take a look!

Jan 17/05 3 days till were due!!! well, No baby yet!!! were getting really impatient here, can't wait to meet our little baby, find out if its a boy/girl, make sure all the toes/fingers are there, etc.. my next drs appt is the 19th, and my last appt on the 12th i was dialated, thinning and the dr could feel the babys head.. so we'll see how much progress i have made in the last week, I have a feeling we might have to be induced, this baby is too much like its parents already, too comfy, just wants to sleep in! anyways just thought I would update and let ya'll know that we haven't forgotten about ya, just have nothing to update on. Oh yeah, still getting seen by the nurses but my blood pressure has itself under control, so thats good news! well, we will definately be updating next time with baby stats! December 27th/05 36+weeks MERRY CHRISTMAS!! hope everyone had a great christmas! well.. i dont know where to start with updates.. its been so long and a lot has happened. I had a dr's appt on Dec 15th and my blood pressure was VERY high.. (190/90) needless to say the dr sent me to the hospital to be admitted for observation & tests.. when i got to the hospital they ran a whole bunch of tests.. everything turned out all right, i was on a monitor & blood pressure checked 3x a day.. and i was there for 3 days, 2 nights.. on the 3rd day the dr came in and told me she wanted me to stay for atleast another day!! i was really hoping to go home. so i BEGGED to go home.. so they let me go home on the condition of getting into an antenatal program with homecare. which means a nurse comes to visit me once a day and puts me on a monitor to check the baby, i check my blood pressure 3x a day and check my urine every morning.. and i am on strict bedrest! my next appt after that was Dec 22nd everything looked good there, my blood pressure was down.. so the dr is now allowing me to go out for dinner/drives, etc. I am still not allowed to shop, do housework, anything that will keep me on my feet. I need to be resting (laying down) atleast 15 hours a day!! Today a nurse came and she talked about taking me down to 2 visits per week from a nurse since i have been doing so well since i got home from the hospital! so hopefully now i will have 2 nurse visits and 1 dr visit PER week! still is a lot but its a relief that me & baby are doing well enough to knock my visits down. Im going a little crazy right now having to stay home & rest and not be able to do anything around the house, and depending on Nurse Adam for a lot of things, but its all going to be worth it in the end since our baby is DUE in a few short weeks, and could come anytime now! If you got this far thanks for checking up on us! I can't promise if i will update again before the baby gets here.. but hopefully the next post will be to introduce our baby! Well, I had my appointment today, everything is GOOD!! my blood pressure is down as low as it was when my appointments first started.. that could have been helped out by my 4 days off before my appointment! :D My dr doesnt want me working after the end of the month (she didnt want me working now but i told her i had to finish my schedule) so 6 more shifts and im done work! I dont know what im going to do with myself.. (anyone needs any company in the next 8-9 weeks, give me a shout!) apparently i gained 7lbs in the last 2 weeks! i think thats bogus though, since my last appointment said i lost 2 lbs, and i was in a different room with a different scale.. ahh who knows.. its all #'s, all thats important is that the baby is healthy! anyways i have another appointment Dec 1st, I will keep you all updated!
Nov 1/05 Happy Halloween! hope everyone had a safe & fun halloween! we went out to Gibbons and carved pumpkins & took Kristy & Tylar trick or treat'n. It was quite fun.. A little cold & wet but what more can you ask for on Halloween?
I had a dr's appointment today & all my test results came back good!! no diabetes & no side affects from my high blood pressure! My blood pressure is still high but the dr doesnt seem too worried since the other tests came back clear. I haven't gained any weight in the last three weeks, thats a relief since all my other appts i have been gaining 6-8 inbetween! anyways, everything looks good, I have another appt on Nov 17, I'm onto the 2 week appointments now! October 25/05 28 weeks! 86 days left! wow. Well I went for my appointment on the 13th and my blood pressure was still high, I had to drop 2 days a week off of my work schedule. I dont know what all this really means right now, my next appointment is on November 1st, hopefully i will find out more then. Yesterday I went for my gestational diabetes test & got some other blood work drawn regarding my blood pressure. The diabetes test was not as bad as everyone made it out to seem. i mean you just have to drink some orange crush knock-off. it was waiting an hour in the lab that was the hard part. So far I have gained 25lbs, and as of the 13th the baby was measuring 2 weeks ahead. Nothing else really to update on.. I will post another belly picture soon, I think i have grown quite a bit in the last 5 weeks since the last one! My next appointment is on Nov 1st and i will update after then! now back to relaxing! October 6/2005 sooo.. I guess you need to read something ABOUT the baby :P So far everything has been pretty uneventful in this pregnancy.. (which is a good thing) we've been visiting the dr every 4 weeks. all of our ultrasounds have came back good! we have a healthy little baby in there, and all the dates are measuring up. the kicking has been increasing by the days.. this baby usually likes to dance around right when i want to get to sleep.. at my last appointment I had high blood pressure. but the Dr. didn't seem too worried since my blood pressure has been good all the other times I was advised to get it checked once a week and have my next appointment in 3 weeks instead of 4, and when i have gotten it checked it has been fine. We almost have everything we need for this baby so far, other then blankets/towels/faceclothes/bathtub/diapers/formula/baby toiletries (all easy and generally cheaper things) thank god! Its just to get all the stuff together. we still need to get the babys room cleaned out & set up. our goal is to have all this done by December 1st that way it is all done & out of the way for the holidays, and ready for the baby to come anytime! for anyone wondering the baby shower will be after the baby is born, so there is no set date until he/she comes! My next appointment is on Oct 13/05 and I will update then, I'll also post another belly picture then which i will be 26 weeks! |
