This year Laurel was Hannah Montana, Maddie was a scarecrow, and Graceyn was Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ. Lane was Mickey and I was Minnie. They love to take care of us when we are sick. By now your VBS is almost over, did you have fun this week? I taught at VBS just like your momma and I loved the song we sang in big church. Did you? I am looking forward to warmer weather. I know it must be hard on Jack not to see his daddy often. It was so hard on Jon and Stephanie when they were little and their daddy went on 6 month deployments. Jon did not see his daddy until he was 5 months old because it was Mike's first deployment in '87. I thank God those days are over. Make sure he understands that Daddy will not always be able to come home early (right after naptime) b/c of work. Reassurance is the best comfort right now...this independence he is experiencing also creates a sense of falsehood in his surroundings. Do remember that you do not have to be his "rec minister" 24/7.... You are doing a great job!!
