Hello! Welcome back! We have had a very busy couple months. First of all a lot has happened as far as my health goes. I continued having blood draws while decresing my medicine. My potassium ended going back into critical levels. So needless to say I'm is still on kidney medicine and probably will need to continue it for a while before trying to stop it again. I also had an ear infection a couple weeks go...first one since my tubes in December. But it was a bad one so after a 2 week follow up my ENT decided that my body was rejecting the tube in the right ear. So, I have to have both tubes removed and antibotic tubes put in and while I'm asleep he will also remove my adenoids. No fun but, hopefully it will make me feel better and my ear will stop bleeding! Alright than enough bad things time to get to the good stuff. My brother and sisters are here with me for the summer!!!! My mom and I drove to Indiana and visited for a few days and brought them back with us along with Mamaw Becky (she was staying for the week with us). We have had a great time together, we have been playing outside in my pool, on the slip n slide it was been a blast. I love them so much I wish they were here with us all the time:) At the beginning of June my mom, sisters and I went to Indiana for a big family reunion hosted by Great grandpa Bartlett, Grandpa Bartlett and Aunt Kandy. It was at a water park so we had a blast and it was wonderful to see and meet family for the first time. The next day we had a retirement party for Papa Steve at Ma and Pa's it was so fun!! Than we headed back to Georgia. Last weekend Mom and Dad took us to Six flags for the day. It was awesome I even got to ride a couple rides! I'm really looking forward to the fireworks next weekend....hopefully I'm not scared of them! And than the next week My Aunt Spring, Uncle George, Emma and Mamaw Becky are coming to visit. We are going to have so much fun I can't wait. Thanks again for checkin with me. See you back soon:)

Hello everyone! Thanks for checking in! I have had a very fun few weeks!! First of all, my dad, mom, and I along with daddy's friend's daughter, Katie all went to Orlando. We had so much fun. We spent the weekend with Steve, Amanda and there kids! I loved playing with Jayden we had a blast together:) We got there on Thursday night. On Friday morning we went to Universal Studios for the day. It was really fun! Best of all I got to meet my best pal...Barney!!! I loved that!! He put on a whole show called a day at the park, it was awesome!! That evening we went to the NBA resturant, which daddy and I really enjoyed! I even got my picture taken as an NBA player, too cool!! The next day we went Clearwater beach!! It was great we played in the sand all day, the water was still a little to cold for me. It was a wonderful weekend. I can't wait to visit again:) The week after we got back...we moved into our new house!!! It is absolutely beautiful! There is lots of room for me to run around and play! I can't for everyone to come at see it! But, most recently last Friday I celebrated my 2nd Birthday!!! Can you believe I'm 2 already...I know what a big boy!!! Because of the big move and things, unfortunately we were not able to go to Indiana for a party. So mommy and daddy had me a party here. We went to Chuckie Cheese, we ate pizza, played lots of games and watched Chuckie put on a show! It was really fun. When we got home I opened my presents from mommy, daddy and great grandma Deloris. Than it was time to dig into my birthday cake...YUMMY!!! The only thing that would have made my day better is my family, hopefully we can visit real soon! I told you these last few weeks have been packed full of excitement! But before you go I got some amazing news! I went to the kidney doctor a few days ago and she thinks I may grown out of my kidney function problem!!!! I'm so excited! She decreased my medicine and I had a blood draw last wednesday, it was a little higher but, still in normal limits. So. now it is basically a waiting game. I will continue to have blood draws on Wednesdays, and we will keep praying! I will keep everyone updated or check back soon! Don't forget to check out all my new pictures!! Enjoy:)

Hello and welcome back. I'am getting so big, I just turned 19 months yesterday! WOW I can't believe it. As far as my health goes, I have been doing pretty well. I have had a couple more blood draws that have been very good :) But, a couple weeks ago I had another severe ear infection, so because I have had so many the doctor is thinking about putting tubes in. So I will keep everyone posted on that. Other than that I have had a very fun few weeks. A couple weeks ago my Nana and Aunt Sherri came and stayed with me for 3 nights while my mom and dad went to Las Vegas. Mommy and Daddy were really worried about leaving me but, I did a great job. We had so much fun. Nana and Aunt Sherri took me to the zoo and everything, we played and played! I just returned from Indiana with my mom, daddy couldn't come he had to work. We missed him but, we had a wonderful trip. I was there for Halloween. I dressed up like a puppy dog, and boy was I cute! I went trick or treating with Breanna, Jackson and some of my family. We had so much fun and got lots of yummy candy:) On Saturday, I went to see my Grandpa, great grandma Kruss, aunt Kandy and uncle Andrew, it was great to spend time with them. That evening I went to a bon fire at aunt Sue and uncle Jeff's. It was really great, Josh even took us on a hay ride!! Sunday my mom and I went to the zoo with mommy's friend and their children. I played and laughed all day long. On Monday we went to play with Emma and spent the day with aunt Spring, great grandma Irene, and papa Joe,Mamaw Becky was out of town for work:(. I missed her. But, it was a wonderful trip, I had a perfect time. I can't wait until Thanksgiving to see everyone again. Don't forget to check out my new pictures! Enjoy. Talk to you soon!!

Hello Everyone!! Welcome back. I'am almost eighteen months old. Can you believe that a year and a half. Wow! What a big boy! First of all I went to the kidney doctor for my 3 month follow up. She said everything was great. My blood draws have been very good, so the medicine is working! So that was very wonderful news. Now to the fun stuff. I'am now walking and sometimes even running around. I also like to talk all the time but, you can only understand a couple of things I say here and there. If only everyone talked baby language! Well, I have been rather busy in last couple months. My mom and dad took me to the zoo, for the first time. I loved it. We had so much fun seeing all the funny looking animals, and playing on the play ground. I even showed the monkeys my "monkey ears".I think they liked them! Than last month while daddy was out of the country, for work. My mom and I went to nana and grandpa Steve's boat. It was a blast we went swimming and played on the dock. It was my first time sleeping on a boat, I did a great job. I have also been to Indiana twice in the last couple months, visiting my family. It is always so great to see everyone! The most recent visit was for mamaw Becky and papa Joe's wedding reception. I love dancing with everyone!! It was so fun! I miss everyone already. This weekend I'am getting my first hair cut. Hello everyone! Thanks for vistiting. I will be fifteen months old tomorrow! WOW!! I have had a very busy few weeks. I have been lucky enough to spend my summer with my brother and sisters! We have had a wonderful time. We spent many days at the pool playing and laughing. So, yes ladies I have a very handsome tan:) A few weeks ago we went to one of Daddy's friends house where I got to ride in a boat, go swimming and get in the hot tub. I loved it all it was so fun! We also went to six flags over Georgia a couple weeks ago. I had alot of fun and even rode two rides. What a big boy!! But, most recently we just returned from Myrtle Beach. It was so much fun. I loved the sand, the water and most of all, the time with my family. It was really a beautiful place. My mom says with any luck we will live by the ocean one day:) I would love that!! As far as my health goes, I'am doing very well. I had a couple of blood draws that were higher. But, will a couple of medicine increases they are doing much better. I have a well child appointment on Monday so, I will let everyone know exactly how big I'am really getting. Hello!! Everyone welcome back. I have had a very busy few weeks. I went to the new GI doctor, he took me off some medicines and changed a dose of the other one. So, far all is much better down there. As far as the kidney problem goes, I had a few very good blood draws, and than unfortunately a couple weeks ago my potassium went way up again. The Nephalogist instructed mom to give me another dose of medicine, and go to the ER for a repeat blood draw. Several hours later it had went down a little, so with one more dose of medicine I was released. I have had one blood draw since than, it was much better. The doctor thinks we are just going to have to keep a better eye on it.  I gained a little weight so, therefore we need to increase the dose. On a fun note, I just got back from Indiana a few days ago. My mom and I flew in on Mother's Day and surprised my grandmas. Boy were they surprised. We spent the nights with Nana at Ma and Pa's house. We played and laughed the whole time we were there. We stayed until Wednesday which was my cousin Emma's first birthday. So, since we were flying back before the party. Emma and I went to build a bear workshop with both grandmas and Aunt Spring. We had such a fun time. I love playing with Emma, you know her and I can relate to each other:) It was a great time, and I miss everyone already!! The good thing is my brother and sisters will be here, on Friday. Most recently, I celebrated my first birthday! My actual birthday was on a Thursday. Since my family lives in Indiana, my dad, mom, nana and I went to dinner at O'Charley's. Than we went back to the house to unwrap presents. On that Saturday the fifth I had an ELMO party in Indiana. Where I was joined my more than 40 guests including most of my family and closest friends. I was so glad to see everyone and get to share such a special day with all of them. We had a fun filled afternoon with snacks, yummy birthday cake, an elmo pinta, and of course lots and lots of gifts. I have had a great time playing with all my new toys. And oh boy do I look handsome in my new clothes. Be sure to check out the pictures. Enjoy and thanks again to everyone who was there!!

Hello! I'am Jalen William. I was born in Mooresville, Indiana on April 3, 2007 at 6:55am. I have had a very hard first year. Starting when I was just a few weeks old I began having several stomach problems. After doing several tests and changing my fomula a couple times. They diagnosed me with GERD also know as acid reflux. After trying a few different medicines, we find one that helped. When I was about 5 months old I began having problems with conspitation. I under went a couple more tests with no real answer in why I have so much trouble using the bathroom. But, it was not untill February 10, 2008 came the real bad news. It was a Sunday and my dad was out of town for work. My mom and I got up and played for awhile that morning, I was fussy but that was about all. Later in the afternoon we began getting ready to go to lunch with a couple of mom's friends from school. When my mom put me in the tub I really began screaming and crying. After quickly getting out of the bath. My mom noticed that I was holding my mouth funny and acting strange. She called my grandma Jodi and she of course rushed right over. They than decided to call 911. After the ambulance got there the paramedics agree something was wrong but, since I was not in any immediate distress, my mom could drive me to the hospital for evaluation.  When we arrived, they immediately started drawing blood and radiology testing. All the tests came back normal. And after a couple hours I began acting better. That's when the bad news came in. The doctor came in and said that my Potassuim has criticaly high and I was going to need to be transported to the nearest Children's hospital for care. After many more blood draws and tests on day 3 the doctor came in, and dignosed me with RTA Renal Tubal Acidosis. He said since this condition is not very common in children he would like to start 2 medicines and go from there. After an evening of several dosages and many prayers. Sure enough the next day my Potassium was back in normal limits:) I was than released from the hosptial and told to continue both meds and see a Nephrologist (kidney doctor) in one month. The next week my dad, mom and I moved to Georgia. My dad got a job transfer. He is much happier and is making alot more money. The best part is that my mom gets to stay home with me everyday!! It doesn't get much better than that. Although I really miss my Nana she stayed home with me while my mom worked in Indiana. But, she has been down here a couple times already to see me. I understand this is best for my family and I. I miss all my family in Indiana but, still talk to them and see them as much as possible. That brings us to March 10 which was the first time a flew on an airplane to Indiana. It was time for my one month follow up appointment with the nephrologist. I went the next day. He said he disagreed with the other doctor, that I had RTA. He wanted to do more blood work and  refer me to a nephrologist in Atlanta.I had my labs drawn. Later that day we flew home. The next morning my mom recieved a call from the nephologist office saying my Potassium was very high, and I needed to go to the nearest Children's hospital. We picked up my dad from work, and went straight there. They were also very confussed and admitted me. After under going SEVERAL blood draws and tests. The doctors determined that the problem, as uncommon as it maybe, was my potassium is high in my blood and low in my urine. Which was not good because that is how your body excretes potassuim is through your urine. They than decided to put me on Diuril which is similiar to a water pill. After several more bloods draws and urine tests, my potassium has been in normal limits for about 4 weeks now. ALRIGHT:) They have determined that it is a kidney function problem. So, even though we do not have a name to call my diagnose, we finally have it under control. We meet with the GI doctor soon to figure out the consipation problem. So, hopefully I'am on the right track to a healthy second year!!!
