It's been a while! Lots of things have happened since our last update. Madilynn turned 1 on 8/13/08, Jeremiah Turned 3 on 9/23/08, and madilynn has begun to walk. Life has been kinda hectic lately, there's always something to do or somewhere to go.
7/16/08: We've had a great last few days. We were able to take a few days off of work and go to the Magic House on Monday, the Zoo on Tuesday and the Botanical Gardens on Wednesday. We forgot to bring the camera to the Magic House and the Zoo, but we got a lot of pictures at (what Jeremiah calls) the "Magical Garden". I think he combined Magic House and what he understood of the word botanical. It was a little warm, but a lot of fun to be out and about with the family...we even had our nephew Ayden with us some of the days.
7/7/08: We had a great 4th of July. We got to go to the parade, went to Bethalto for a potluck with the Wiegand family, and then we got to go to the fireworks at the park.
Maddi's all over the place, but she's still probably a month or more away from walking (what a relief!).
5/5/08: Happy Cinco De Mayo! A lot has happened in the last few weeks. Mom got a new job at Jack in the Box, Maddi is crawling pretty strong, pulling up, putting herself into a sitting position, and starting to cruise furniture. She has 2 very visible teeth on the bottom, one through on the top with the other probably breaking through tonight since she's got a little bit of a temp. We went to her first baseball game 2 weeks ago when Oliver's choir sang "God Bless America" before the game.
Poor Jeremiah has had a fever for he last few days. He woke us up the other night when he was calling out for us. He kept yelling about something and pointing around the room. After I realized he was pointing at an elephant and a lion and worried about them eating him, I realized that he was burning up and the fever was causing him to hallucinate. Nothing to worry about, though we did have a scare the next day when his temp got up to 104.8.

2/17/08: Sorry it's taken so long to update our page. Our camera broke on Christmas morning, so we haven't been able to take pictures. We added a lot of pictures that Grandpa Warren took at Maddi's dedication a few weeks ago. We'll have to rustle up some more pictures from other people until we can replace our camera.
Everyone is doing great. Jeremiah's talking up a storm and we try to decipher what we can. His favorite places are Mama's house (grandma Wesche), Jesus' house, and Chickaway (Chick-fil-A)...I'm so proud. Maddi's getting huge. We go to the doctor on Tuesday, but I'd guess she's around 18 lbs. She looks so pretty in her dresses, I just can't wait for hair! She's got all of these goofy random long hairs that I'm waiting on blending in with the rest. She got her first 2 teeth last week and they're sharp.
12/15/07: Today we had 2 inches of snow and Jeremiah and Daddy got to play outside and build a snowman. Jeremiah also made a snow-angel. Jeremiah loved eating the snow and hitting Daddy with snowballs. When it was too dark to play anymore, we had to go inside, jeremiah didn't want to stop playing, but we got to go inside and watch Handy Manny. there is a picture of Jeremiah next to our snowman. We love SNOW!!!
11/26/07: We had a great Thanksgiving. As you can tell by all the new pictures, we went to a lot of get-togethers. We we able to see a lot of our family, including a new second cousin, Ella Jane. Jeremiah loved holding both of "my babies".
Maddi has been sleeping through the night for the last week, and it has been wonderful. She's a great baby, so happy and entertaining. Jeremiah does so well with her and his other cousins.
11/15/07: Tomorrow is Daddy's birthday. Mommy and Daddy were able to both take off, so we've all been able to relax and spend some time together which hasn't happened in awhile. Maddi is finally a happy baby, we were worried at first that she may be a little colicky. She's starting to sit up some, she may be able to do it on her own soon. Jeremiah is talking up a storm. He's always got something to say. It was so sweet today, he sang "happy birthday" to Grandma Wesche all by himself. He also loves to sing "Jesus Loves Me".
11/1/07: We had so much fun on Halloween. As you can tell by our pictures, Maddi was a mermaid and Jeremiah was Tigger. He loved his costume...he was bouncing all over the house and "think, think think"-ing. We went around our street, trunk or treating, and to the nearb grandma's houses. J got so much candy we'll all get cavities! He got it all down quick, knocking on the doors, saying "twick o teet" and "tank oo". He loves the suckers the best. Maddi got kind of frustrated at her costume, but she looked so cute in it.
9/23/07: We had a great time at the zoo yesterday for Jeremiah's birthday. Most of the family came, and many of our friends. We did all of Jeremiah's favorite things: visited the childrens zoo, saw the penguins, rode the carousel, and rode the train. Then we came back to our house for cake and ice cream. He got some really neat toys, an ABC magnet game, a cool car and lots of puzzles, and clothes that he could care less about but mommy likes! Thanks everyone who came, and we missed those of you who couldn't!
8/18/07: We're settling in really well. We all had a pretty good night's sleep last night, though come morning both kids had found their way into our bed.
Madilynn is eating really well now. She is super cuddly and is actually napping on Daddy right now, don't worry, pictures coming soon!
Jeremiah is getting so big. He likes to play on the computer, and he loves to take pictures. We had one that he took of Daddy that turned out pretty well, now we know what grown ups look like from a toddler's perspective.
8/15/07: Madi is doing very well. She's eating like crazy, and she loves to cuddle. It looks like I will probably get to go home tomorrow afternoon which will be very nice...I'm getting pretty bored at the hospital! It will be easier on Jeremiah as well, he doesn't like to go to sleep with me not there.
I'll be home for 7 weeks with the kiddos, so if you get the chance, stop by. I'll be looking for company. I'll try to take and add some ore pictures tomorrow.
8/14/07: Madi is such a sweet baby. She is doing very well, and I am feeling great. I was able to get up and around today which was nice after being in bed for 24 hours.
Jeremiah is doing pretty well with his sister. It will probably take a week or so at home before it will connect that it's "his" baby, but he already loves to give her kisses and try to take her picture with the camera.
I can't wait until I can go home on Friday, then it will really sink in for me as well.
8/12/07: Just about 15 hours until I finally get to meet Madilynn. I can't wait to see her for the first time, and hold her. It's definately going to be a change of pace taking care of 2 instead of one, especially when Jeremiah is so easy to take care of. Now I have to re-enter the world of bottles, frequent feeding and diaper changes, and large diaper bags. I've gotten used to having a toddler which only requires a diaper or 2 for outings.
I'm a little stressed though, trying to get ready to be in the hospital for 4 days while other people take care of Jeremiah. I know he'll be totally fine, and probably won't notice anything except mommy not being home at night, but it's hard to be a mommy and be stuck in the hospital.
7/29/07: Jeremiah has a new cousin! David Hezekiah Filipek was born at 11:00pm on Thursday 7/26 weighing 6lbs 9ozs. Aunt Becky is doing well, and David is doing pretty well. His doctor is a little worried about one of his kidneys...it's not really functioning and they hope it will start working like it is supposed to or he may need to have surgery in the next month or so. He looks just like his dad, just like Ayden and I look like our dads.
7/23/07: Only 3 weeks to go! The C-Section is scheduled for August 13th. We can't wait to meet Madilynn for the first time. If the way she acts now is any indication, she will be active and stubborn (she won't flip over!).
4-17-2007: We have a new habit now that Daddy works early in the morning. Jeremiah wakes up around 6am and Mommy lets him come into bed with her. We get lots of cuddle time that way. Mommy is feeling good, and Madilynn is starting to move and kick a lot. Pretty soon we're going to set up the room with baby stuff again so that Jeremiah has time to get used to everything.
4-3-2007: Wow, it's been awhile since we've updated the website! We went to the doctor for the ultraound today. We were hoping for a boy, but our gut feelings were right, we're having a girl. We are expecting Madilynn Ree to arrive on August 18th. And guess what. Aunt Becky who was hoping girl is having a boy. So at least all the baby clothes we have will be used!
12-20-2006: Guess what! Aunt Becky is expecting a baby, and so is Mommy! They're 2 weeks apart. We can't wait.
