Stories

12-3-06:  Jeremiah has a cousin on his Mommy's side now!  Ayden Scott Meyer was born today at 6:47pm.  He weighed 7lbs14ozs and was 20" long.  He is a beautiful shade of pink!

10-26-06: If you can't tell by all of the red in my pictures lately, I'm a big cardinals fan.  Whenever I hear the crowd cheer on TV, I always clap my hands.  Only 1 more win to go...GO CARDS!

10-25-06: Sorry that I haven't updated the site in awhile...I feel so bad!  I am plannin on uploading more pictures in the next few days.

Jeremiah recently got his hair buzzed.  He no longer looks like a baby, which makes me sad, but at least he doesn't look like his "combover" is blowing away in the wind anymore!

He had a little bit of a bug last weekend, but he's all better now.  You can tell when he's not feeling well when he is super cuddly!

GO CARDS!!!

9-23-06: Thank you all that came to my birthday party. It was so much fun. I wish that everyone could have come. It was a cool weekend with a threat of rain, so instead of being outside, we were all in the house. It was hard for everyone to get around, I tripped over people's feet! I didn't eat too much cake, though I did start rubbing it in my eyes because I was tired. Uncle Nathan gave me a bath when I was done, and then I got to play with my new toys. I got some really fun things. I love my fisher price car, my telephone, and my drum, I play with them the most. I also really like spreading all of my blocks around the house.

9-20-06: Only a few more days to go til BIRTHDAY! We can't wait to see you all.

9-16-06: We went apple picking and had so much fun. I loved taking bites out of the apples, and I kept sharing with mommy. After we were done at Eckerts, we ate at the Fin Inn. We didn't get a table next to the fish, but I got to see them when we were done eating.

8-26-06: Jeremiah is walking everywhere now. The greatest number of steps I've counted in one shot it about 12. He's getting good, though he still prefers to crawl much of the time...not for long though. And what is it with Aunt Becky giving him candy? Nerds on the 4th of July, Chocolate at Olive Garden on Mommy's birthday! Just wait til we get a hold on your future children.

8-23-06: Happy Birthday Mommy! We're going to the zoo for her birthday. When we were there a few weeks ago, we saw that they were having a special night and staying open until 10pm, so she said that she wanted to go. We'll post any good pictures that we get.

8-22-06: I'm 11 months old today. I'm taking several steps at a time, and I just stand in place and bounce. I also have 4 easily seen teeth, with 2 more that have just popped through. I'm just growing up so fast! Also, Robert got to go home last friday! He was only in the hospital for 9 days. He's really tiny. I got to see him on sunday after church and I wanted to climb into his bed with him and play! Mom wouldn't let me :(. I thought he was so funny though I just kept laughing and smiling at him. I can't wait until he's big enough for me to play with. Oh, and Aunt Maria is going to have a baby boy, so that's another friend I'll have. His name is going to be Aiden Scott.

8-10-06: Yesterday was an exciting day. I took my first step! Watch out mommy and daddy. Also, I have a new friend that was born, Robert Anthony. He was born 6 weeks early, but is 5lbs 3ozs and is doing well.

7-24-06: WE HAVE ELECTRICITY!!! On Wednesday, a big storm hit our area. We still had power, but many of our friends and family didn't. Aunt Maria and Uncle Matt came to spend the night, as well as "uncle" Ben and "aunt" Jan Allen. In addition to no power, the Allens were also on a boil order for water, so we had a full house...with 2 pregnant ladies! Aunt Maria's power went on the next day, but the Allens stayed with us. At Mommy's work, the power was out Thursday and Friday, but Daddy had to work. Thankfully we didn't have any trees fall down, but we know people who had a tree fall on their cars, so we were very lucky. But guess what...we lost power on Friday! After waiting all day for the power to come on, we finally all packed up to go to Grandma and Grandpa Wesche's house. We stayed there for 3 nights, but finally our power came on in the middle of the night, so we got to go home after Mommy and Daddy got home from work. Thankfully we brought much of our food to Grandma's, but we still had a lot to throw away and replace.

7-5-06: Yesterday was a lot of fun.  We went to a parade, and people kept giving me lots of candy...Aunt Becky let me eat some, though Mommy wasn't too happy about that!  I also got some necklaces and a flag. Later we went to fireworks.  We were going to go to the park, but it looked like it might rain, so we sat in a parking lot.  I liked watching them for the first 5 minutes or so, but then I got bored with them.  There was a lot of smoke too, so we almost couldn't see them towards the end.  Next year we'll make sure we go to the park.

6-27-06: It's been a busy last few weeks.  As you can tell from the pictures, we had some family reunions.    I'm beginning to try to crawl on my actual hands and knees, though if I want to go fast I still get on my tummy and army crawl.  I also am kneeling a lot while playing with things.  Occasionally I stand on my own too, though I only stay that way for a few seconds before I plop down on the floor.  Nothing is safe!  I can pull up in seconds, I open any cabinet I can get my hands on, and it is often a race between me and mommy to see which of us gets places first (but somehow Mom always pulls me away before I can really get into something!).

6-4-06: Aunt Becky got married yesterday to Uncle Adam. The wedding was so pretty and I even got to take a nap or two! I also learned to fake smile. Every time that the orange light flashes on the camera, I make a face like one of my pictures you see on my site. Mommy and Daddy have about 5 of them so far (how long will this last?). I liked dancing with Mom, the pretty lights and flowers, and the food was really good too!

6-2-06: It's been an exciting week. On Monday we went down to Dexter to visit Grandma and Grandpa Warren. I got a lot of pictures taken (only about 1% are on my site here!). Aunt Abbie left for Washington DC at 1am, and Daddy got me out of bed to say goodbye...big mistake! I kept Mommy up til 3:30, and then Daddy took me in the other room. We fell asleep on the chair and Dad laid me back in bed around 5am. And tomorrow I get a new uncle! Aunt Becky is getting married tomorrow, and Mom is the Matron of Honor and Dad is a groomsman. We'll see how I do with being passed around all day and not getting a good afternoon nap.

5-24-06: We were going to go visit Millie today, but she got to go home from the hospital, so instead we went to the zoo. It was so sunny outside, and pretty warm. We got to see the new Fragile Forest with the chimpanzees, and we went through the bird house. We also went through the penguin and puffin coast...it was so cold.

5-17-06: Today was an exciting day. First, I have a new cousin...Welcome to the world Millie. She is 6lbs, 10 ozs. We hope to go and see her, Mason, Aunt Kellie and Uncle Tyler next week. Hopefully she won't have to stay in the hospital long! Also, my Aunt Maria had an ultrasound to see another of my cousins. It's too soon to tell if it's a boy or girl, but they'll know soon.

4-24-06: Jeremiah is now 7 months old (it's amazing how time flies!), and in the last week or so he has begun to do so much. His favorite thing to say is "babuba" amid his usual shrieks and growling. He is also scooting fairly well and will probably be crawling very soon. He also just began walking when we hold his hands and cruising along furniture. I'm afraid that he is going to be mobile very soon...fun to watch, but more to watch! He still can't quite push himself up into sitting, but he can almost pull himself in to standing...scary! Mommy is now working on the basics of sign language with him so that he can communicate with us. He enjoys watching me talk while I use my hands, we'll see if he picks it up.

4-23-06: This morning while we were getting ready for church, we put Jeremiah in his exersaucer. When I looked in on him, I noticed that he was playing with the mirror on the exersaucer. When I looked closer, I realized that he was manipulating the reflection of the sun coming through the window onto the wall. I watched him for a few minutes as he was moving the light patch along the walls and ceiling. I wonder how much he knew about what he was doing. It seemed as if he knew that his moving the mirror also moved the light. It's amazing how much babies know and learn!

4-9-06: Jeremiah keeps us busy! He grabs everything within reach quicker than I can react sometimes. He also likes to growl and have conversations with us in babble. His Uncle Nathan is trying to teach him how to crawl, but I am happy with just the rolling around at the moment.
