First off, thank you so much to everyone that made today absolutely amazing!! Kaitlyn was thrilled with all of the birthday messages and phone calls!
It was a super busy day to say the least. Expect a couple hundred pictures and a few videos!
This morning started with Kaitlyn waking up ready for presents! She opened up her presents from Mommy and Daddy and then Auntie Christina called to say Happy Birthday! Then, Kaitlyn had to say Bye Bye to Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa. While they all headed out, Kaitlyn took her morning bath. While she was in the bath tub, she got a phone call from Princess Auroa to wish her a Happy Birthday!
After Kaitlyn was ready for school, off to school she went! While she was at school I got to set up the house for her make-up party.
When School was getting ready to finish up, I took cupcakes to her class for after lunch. Everyone sang her happy birthday and wished her many, many, many happy Birthday wishes while eating their yummy cupcakes.
After school, we rushed to the car to go to gymnastics. On the way, we went by the post office, Kaitlyn was SO excited that she had a card from MawMaw Dora. She carried it around with her everywhere, so proud of it. We got to gymnastics and found out that today was team pictures! What a surprise! Kaitlyn did great for her pictures and I can't wait to get them back!
Kaitlyn had a fantastic class and at the end of her class she graduated to the 4 year old class! Way to go Princess!
After gymnastics, we headed to Auntie Christy's house to pick her and Camaryn up where we got to wish Uncle Dennis a Happy Birthday and where Kaitlyn had some presents waiting for her! And then we headed to Carl's Jr. on the way back to Grandma's house! We arrived and so did Miss Sarah, Kayla, Dylan, Auntie Stephanie, Hope and Beau. The girls got make overs, pretty hair, pretty make-up, pretty nails and lots and lots and lots of glitter. A lot of glitter!
While we were having make-over time, the mailman came and had a package for Kaitlyn from Erika, Noah, Adam and Joshua. Kaitlyn was so excited to open it and see a new 5-in-1 story coloring book and new barbie magnetic dolls (her favorite!)! Kaitlyn's pictures from Silverbend pumpkin patch!
After the girls finished getting gorgeous, we headed to the mall. The girls went to build-a-bear. Kaitlyn made a new sparkly blue bear with an angel outfit and some jammies!
From there we headed to Sears to have pictures taken. The girls did awesome.
After Sears, we went to Chuck E Cheese. Holy Moly am I exhausted! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to celebrate Kaitlyn's birthday. Thank you to Nana and Papa for the awesome gifts and to Dorin, Nicole and Dominick for the fantastic Diamond Castle Barbie gifts!
When we got home, at nearly 10 PM! Kaitlyn was exhausted and fell asleep pretty quickly, but not until she got to listen to her new Hannah Montana CD on her new Disney Princess CD player.
Over the next day or two, expect a couple hundred new pictures from the birthday day, the pumpkin patch pictures, pictures from Sears, and a few new videos!

Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday Dear Kaitlyn! Happy Birthday To You!!
To start off this morning, we would all like to wish Uncle Dennis a VERY Happy Birthday!!
It's hard to believe that 4 years have passed since the day Kaitlyn came into our world and demanded that she be the boss!
We have been truly blessed by her. Kaitlyn was an easy baby and has been an amazing little girl. Words cannot describe how incredible she is.
We have a very busy day planned today! I'll do a better update when we get home tonight and she is in bed :)
11/15/08
Just think, the day after tomorrow, our little princess will be 4! My, oh my, how time has passed and boy oh boy has she grown!
Kaitlyn is so excited for her birthday! She has been telling everyone that will listen that her birthday is right around the corner!
We've had a pretty fun and busy week! We've spent a lot of time working on tissue paper flowers (thanks so much to Auntie Christy and Camaryn for coming over to help!)
On Monday, it was a "lazy" day. We tackled the obstacle that was Kaitlyn's room and sorted out clothes that she couldn't wear anymore, toys that she was too big for, and just things in general that would be better suited for those that needed them!
On Tuesday, we went to Daniel's bowling party! Kaitlyn had a blast and did wonderful, getting 4 strikes! Way to go our bowling princess.
Wednesday, Kaitlyn headed back to school. She couldn't have been more excited after their long Veteran's Day break. It was the day of her parent/teacher conference and that went great! Kaitlyn is excelling on so many levels! She's above age level for all 4 aspects of preschool, so great job Kaitlyn! She is going to start back into speech therapy. Her teacher and the therapist both feel that she was graduated prematurely (Daddy and I agree) so she is going to be re-evaluated so see if they can help her with a few more sounds, we want her to be easily understood by all before kindergarten.
Thursday was another fun day at school. Kaitlyn passed out the rest of her birthday invitations. After school we got to meet up at Chick Fil A with Sara, Kayla, Dylan, Auntie Christy, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie and Carmen. The girls had a blast, as always. And from there we went to gymastics.
Friday involved lunch with daddy and a lot of shopping! We had the chance to go to my high school's last football game, ever, so we took it!
Today was a lot of birthday party shopping!
We hope everyone has had an amazing week and we can't wait to see as many of you as possible next Saturday!
11/11/08
Kaitlyn would like to wish a very Happy 1st Birthday to her friend Alexis and a very Happy 4th Birthday to her friend Daniel today!! Have a blast friends!!!
Kaitlyn would also like to say a big thank you to all of the men and women who have and continue to serve our country.

Last week was incredibly busy. We spent the week with Kaitlyn going to school, doing gymnastics, dinner at Nana and Papa's, our weekly playdate at Chick Fil A, dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and plenty of time with friends and family and helping mommy prepare for Great Grandma Bobbie's Memorial services.
The services were on Friday. Everything turned out really nice. Thank you so much to everyone that helped and offered their kind words and support.
Kaitlyn is handling everything ok for the most part. She has had a few nightmares and constantly asks us to make sure that not everyone in the family dies and leaves her alone and to make sure that the bed next to Matthew in heaven is open for her for that day far, far, far, far, far, far, far away.
Uncle Ray, Uncle Calvin, Ashley, Nikki and Adrian all came up for the services. Kaitlyn was so excited to see Nikki and Adrian and wanted nothing more than to play with them non-stop. She was not a happy camper when it came time for them to leave! Kaitlyn was ecstatic to be able to spend so much time with Uncle Ray.
On Saturday, Kaitlyn had her first pre-ballet dance class and did wonderful. As always, we're incredibly proud of her and all of her acheivments. She was thrilled to be able to play with her friend Shelby and new friend Claire. Her teacher is great and so incredibly patient.
Saturday night we had dinner with Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel, Carmen and Uncle Ray. Since we wanted to be sure Uncle Ray had a good time before he left, we finished off the evening with drinks at Auntie Christy's house while Nana and Papa watched the girls. Ray made Washington Apples which were delicious!
Sunday, we did our weekly trip to the cemetery before heading over to see Uncle Ray before he left. Kaitlyn had a blast playing with her cousins. While she wasn't anxious to leave, that quickly evaporated when we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house where she got to play Guitar Hero and see Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Scotty, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul and Zoe. Of course, she did spend quite a bit of time running around like a mad lady excitedly screaming "Jimmie Johnson is the winner!" over and over again!
Today, we spent hours cleaning and organizing Kaitlyn's room. That girl has way too much stuff!
Tomorrow Kaitlyn is in the Folsom Veteren's Day Parade before going to Daniel's bowling birthday party!
We hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and week!
11/7/08
Kaitlyn wants to wish her Auntie Jamie a very happy birthday!!
11/05/08
We want to wish Uncle Scotty a Very Happy Birthday!!
11/1/08
We hope everyone had a very safe, happy and spooktacular Halloween!
This has been a busy week!
Friday night was Kaitlyn's last soccer game of the season. We already miss it. After a great game, we came home and Kaitlyn helped Grandma make a scary gingerbread house. I got to work on things for the soccer party and then it was time for bed. Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle Paul and Uncle Brian all went camping for the weekend with only what they could carry on their backs!
Saturday morning we went to Great Grandma Mauda's house and Kaitlyn met her doggy Babs, who she loves. From there we went to the awesome soccer party that included a lot of bouncing, some good friends and yummy pizza!
Saturday evening we went to Fairy Tale Town to do some serious trick or treating. Kaitlyn and Camaryn dressed up like Tinkerbell and met Captain Hook and Peter Pan as well as many mermaids.
Sunday we went to see Grandma Bobbie in the hospital. Kaitlyn took her a stuffed doggie to snuggle with "so she wouldn't be scared", some pictures and a card. She sang her songs, told her stories, gave her kisses and told her how much she loved her.
From the hospital we went to the Pumpkin Patch with Grandma, Auntie Christina, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel, Baby Carmen and Zoey. Kaitlyn picked out a lot of big pumpkins. She had her picture taken by the photographer there who asked if Kaitlyn could model for his studio, she was thrilled to say "Of Course!"
After the pumpkin patch, we got to see Daddy!!! Kaitlyn was thrilled. Daddy and I went to the cemetery and then the hospital before going home to see Kaitlyn before bed time.
Monday morning was a school day for Kaitlyn. It was followed by gymnastics and time with Camaryn! Kaitlyn loves spending time with Camaryn. She keeps asking if they could just be sisters instead :P
On Tuesday, Camaryn went with me to pick up Kaitlyn from school and we headed straight to the pumpkin patch. The girls had a blast in the hay maze, seeing the animals and picking out some big ol' pumpkins. From there, we headed home to carve them :)
Wednesday was another busy day! When Kaitlyn got out of school we headed down to Fairy Tale town to take some pictures of Dorothy with the Yellow Brick road and then play at Fairy Tale town and then the zoo :)
Thursday was time for the kid's Halloween party! After Kaitlyn got out of school, we headed to Mrs. Sarah's house to set up and get ready for the fun! The kids got to decorate pumpkins, picture mats, foam candy corn, cookies and make candy apples and candy necklaces before putting on their costume fashion show!
Friday was Halloween. Kaitlyn decided that she didn't want to be without Mommy or Daddy after the passing of her Great Grandmother and stayed home from school. While Daddy rested, I took her to Daddy, Grandma and Auntie Christina's work for trick or treating. Then, we headed to Nana and Papa's for a while to visit. Then, we went home to get ready for trick or treating. Kaitlyn got on her costume while the rain continued to pour down on us. Kaitlyn had a blast going to all of the houses. We ended up going to my old teacher's house and getting a lot of candy through the night.
We spent today at Nana and Papa's house playing with Camaryn, eating pizza and Chicken and Dumplings. Kaitlyn is going to be well rested tonight that's for sure!
Have a safe and dry weekend!!

Last night, Kaitlyn's Great Grandma Bobbie passed away. Please keep Kaitlyn and her Daddy in your thoughts.
We would like to wish everyone a happy Halloween.
It has been a very busy week with a lot to update with, look for it, one-two hundred new pictures and a new layout tomorrow :)
10/26/08
We ask that you keep Kaitlyn's Great Grandma Bobbie in your thoughts and prayers. She suffered from a heart attack yesterday.

What a busy few days leading up to what will be a busy weekend.
On Wednesday, we spent time at the cemetery after Kaitlyn got out of school. She was great, as always, of helping me water the grass and clean up the flowers on Matthew's "funeral" day.
After that we went to Fairy Tale Town and met up with Auntie Jamie, Cousin Carmen, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, and Camaryn. Everyone played, a lot. I think the girls got a great work out! From there we headed to the park to chase feed the ducks before loading into the car.
We went to pick up daddy from work and then headed to a fantastic soccer practice! It's amazing to see how much these kids have made! We are so proud of Kaitlyn, she hasn't missed a single game and only 2 practices (one in Vegas and Matthew's angel day). We are so proud of her commitment, her dedication and how much improvement we've seen from her!
After practice we headed to Nana and Papa's for dinner! Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel, Carmen and Auntie Barbara joined us. It was delicious (thanks Daddy!).
We want to send good thoughts with Uncle Dennis. He flew to Mexico to be with his very sick grandfather. We wish him a safe and peaceful trip and can't wait to see him when he gets back!
Today was another fun day! I got to pick up Camaryn in the morning to spend the day with us! Kaitlyn was so excited that Camaryn picked her up from school. Then, the girls went and picked out balloons and cards for Miss Sarah's birthday.
For Miss Sarah's birthday we went to Chuck E Cheese for a few hours. The girls made new friends, went through a couple hundred tokens and had a blast. I don't think there was a single complaint :)
After that, we went to the mall and ran some errands. Daddy is heading out tomorrow with Grandpa, Uncle Paul and Uncle Brian for a camping trip!
We have such a fun weekend planned! I can't wait to share pictures!
10/21/08
Hello Family and Friends! Did you see how close Kaitlyn is to having 100,000 visitors?!?
Well, I'm sure it's coming to no surprise that we had a busy weekend!
Friday night was a great soccer game! It's been amazing and fun to see how much improvement the whole team has shown this season! The team did great and we were so proud of Kaitlyn and watching her get in the middle of the scrimmages! It was a great game!
After the great game, we picked up the Burger King we promised Kaitlyn and then headed home.
Saturday morning started bright and early. Mommy and Daddy laid Sod at the cemetery for Matthew for a couple of hours while Kaitlyn hung out and helped Grandma clean.
We got cleaned up and pretty before heading downtown with Grandma to meet Auntie Christy, Nana and Camaryn for the Ballet of Alice and Wonderland. Alice came out just to meet the girls and they were so excited! The show was sold out, so we headed to Downtown Plaza to see the Christmas store, the sales and the carousel!
Sunday morning, Kaitlyn and I went with Grandma to scout a place for Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey's wedding.
From there, we headed home to get ready for the pumpkin patch! We met Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Nana and Papa at the pumpkin patch for pony rides, a haunted barn, huge slides, hay rides, train rides and of course pumpkins!
Yesterday we had gymastics, errand running and a lot of fun!
Today, was Kaitlyn's picture day at school. I have been told they got some great shots, I just can't wait to see them! We picked up some things for the soccer party, went to the cemetery to water the new grass and then Kaitlyn took a nap!
This week we have soccer practice (YAY!), Soccer Game (YAY!), Chuck E Cheese, Tutu and Bow making party :P, Fairytale town, more pumpkin patches, and daddy's camping trip! It's going to be a great and busy few days!
10/16/08
And here we are getting close to closing another week. It has been a whirlwind, that's for sure.
This weekend Kaitlyn and Camaryn were so excited to have a sleep over at Nana and Papa's house! Thanks so much to Auntie Barbara and Uncle Dean for helping to get the tents set up and looking great with a lantern and everything!
Saturday morning we took our time getting around before heading to Luke's birthday party! Kaitlyn was so excited to see Luke and his mommy and Melanie. She had an absolute blast playing, eating cake and watching cars.
When we got home, we got all of our overnight things packed and headed over to Nana and Papa's house. Kaitlyn and Camaryn ran towards each other as though they haven't seen each other in years. They sure are dramatic ;)
We had dinner, roasted marshmallows, ate smores and then everyone got in their tents to sleep. I was so surprised and impressed with both girls for sleeping outside all night!! They had a nice and lazy morning, running, playing, cleaning up, drinking hot cocoa and enjoying each other's company.
From Nana and Papa's we headed to REI while Kaitlyn stayed and played with Nana and Papa. After REI, the three of us headed home with Archie so we could have Sunday dinner with Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Auntie Jamie and Uncle Scotty. Kaitlyn slept through it all :)
Monday morning started bright and early. Kaitlyn had school but Daddy was home from work for the holiday. Kaitlyn's day at school was great and followed up by some fun gymnastics! From there, we met Daddy at the cemetery. Kaitlyn was a good helper with mowing and watering the grass. After the cemetery we went to the pumpkin patch where Kaitlyn picked out even more pumpkins. She loves pumpkins and how can we tell such a pretty pumpkin princess no?
Tuesday was another early morning with a good day at school with Kaitlyn. She loves her teachers and all of her friends. Promising they will be best friends forever. :)
On Tuesday afternoon we met Auntie Jamie at the fabric store to get the things to make tutu skirts for Halloween :) Kaitlyn was so excited, she still can't wait to make hers. That evening Great Grandma Mauda came over with some prizes for Kaitlyn. She LOVES her scary, haunted carosel and new shirt and sweater :) After dinner we decided to do our first round of pumpkin carving! What do you think of them?
Wednesday was Matthew's angel day. We all miss Matthew so much, and Kaitlyn is no exception. She misses her baby brother every day. We went to the cemetery early in the afternoon and saw Grandma and Auntie Christina. From there we went to a pretty good lunch (where Kaitlyn was reminded of how much she loves calamari even if it is made of squidworth!) and then headed to the mall. Daddy bought some stuff for Daddy and Kaitlyn bought some things for her and Camaryn. After that we went back to the cemetery with Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn.
Daddy made us a delicious dinner when we got home.
Today was a good day too! Kaitlyn loved school. She had such a blast with her friends and was so happy to go. After school, she got her clothes changed and headed to a super fun playdate with her bestest friends and cousin Camaryn and Kayla. She was so excited to go. We spent 3 hours before we realized that the entire resturaunt was now empty and it was time to go to the mall!!
At the mall, Camaryn eagerly introduced the world of Cheese on a Stick to Kaitlyn, who, to my surprise, LOVED it! The girls were great and I know Kaitlyn did not want to leave :)
Tomorrow is another fun day! Kaitlyn has a soccer game in the evening (let me know if you're interested in going and I'll get the details) and Kaitlyn gets to take something to school for D day so she couldn't be more excited!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the loving comments, cards and messages. It touches us on a level you'll never understand.
10/15/08
Kaitlyn wants to send all of her love to Matthew today on his Angel Day. Not a day goes by that she doesn't love, miss and talk about her baby Brother and all of the wonderful things they did together and he now does in Heaven Above.
We also send our love to all of the other baby angels mommies and daddies honoring their little ones today for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.
10/10/08
We have done a great job this week of staying busy :)
Kaitlyn had a blast at school. It was C week, so today she took a Crown to school. She really wanted to take Camaryn, but when I explained you could only take things, a Crown was the winner!
She was also very excited because she got to be the lunch helper twice this week!
Monday's gymnastic lesson was wonderful. It went really good, she's learned so much and is so obviously ready to go to the next level. Soon, she'll be in the 4 year old class :) We then hit some Halloween shops to find Kaitlyn's Halloween costume. She's decided to be Dorothy and have Zoe be Toto. We also took balloons to the cemetery for Matthew's 14 month birthday.
On Tuesday, Kaitlyn had an array of costumes to have her pictures taken for her birthday invitations. It was so hard making a selection! She was such a ham and worked her way into the arts of some photographers.
On Wednesday we hit Chick Fil A for lunch with Camaryn and Auntie Christy. They had a blast before heading to the mall.
Practice was canceled Wednesday night, so we headed straight to Daddy's game. We got to see Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel and beautiful Carmen. She is growing so fast! Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn joined us too to cheer on Daddy, Papa and Uncle Joel.
Yesterday we headed to San Francisco with Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn. The girls had so much fun. One of the neatest parts was the end at the giraffes. The zoo keepers took both Kaitlyn and Camaryn into the Giraffe pen and helped them feed and pet the giraffes. Check out the video:
