Thursday Daddy had a softball game and took Kaitlyn while I got my arms in paper mache and took a crack at making a pinata. (*note to self, never again :P) Kaitlyn was a good girl and did wonderful I was told :)
Friday we started in on the party adventure for Camaryn. We did lots of shopping, many errands and then went to Kaitlyn's soccer game. They played a short game because they were down half their team and it was so HOT! Kaitlyn did great for the first half. When she gets hot she loses concentration so we're working on that :)
After we headed back to Auntie Christy's house to work on little party details.
Saturday morning started bright and early. We spent the day with Kaitlyn and Camaryn on the water slide while we did lots and lots of party stuff. The party was a TON of fun! Camaryn had a blast and both girls were so excited to see Captain Jack Sparrow! Can't say I blame them ;) Auntie Christy and Uncle Dennis did a great job on the party :)
On Sunday, Daddy really wanted to hit the Auctions. Uncle Scotty went with us to Roseville where we did a lot of shopping and had a lot of neat finds :) It was a good morning. Daddy's friends Billy and Chet came over for dinner and Daddy made some delicious chicken. Billy was so sweet and read Kaitlyn her Angel books to help her go to sleep.
On Monday it was State Fair Day!! We went to the cemetery first and then headed to the fair. Kaitlyn had so much fun! She got kissed by a Sea Lion, played with her friend Dominick and ate her first corn dog! After a couple hours Auntie Christy and Uncle Dennis dropped off Camaryn to join in the fun! The girls rode a ton of rides, played a lot of games, and got to go in the best petting zoo with a real wallaby and baby deer! Very sweet! I was so sad that my batteries ran dry :( The sweetest part was on the Ferris Wheel. Kaitlyn was scared when we got to the very top of the giant ferris wheel she'd admired from the freeway for weeks! When she realized we were in the sky and thus closer to Matthew her and Camaryn started talking to him. They told him how much they missed and loved him and thanked him for keeping them safe.
Today Kaitlyn went back to preschool. She was a little nervous but had a ton of fun and can't wait to go back. Her teacher said she did great and was incredibly social. She missed her new friends as soon as we walked to the car!
We've been busy! Last Friday Kaitlyn had her first Soccer Game! I was so proud of her! It was incredibly hot, dry and didn't start until 6. At first she had a little bit of trouble with her concentration, but she got in there and kicked that ball towards the goal! After the game she was hot and sweaty so we knew she played a good game :P Thank you SOOOOO much to everyone who came to watch Kaitlyn play! She helped pass out treats to her soccer friends and then we headed over to Nana and Papa's house for some dinner with Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Auntie Barbara, Uncle Dean, Auntie Stepahnie, Uncle Craig, Hope, Beau and Mike. Daddy made some delicious steaks and everyone had a good time!
After a late night we had an early morning since there was another Soccer Game Saturday morning for opening day. It was much cooler (albeit still hot) and Kaitlyn showed a HUGE improvement in the first half. She was actively seeking out the ball, had no worries when she was pushed down and played soccer! The second half her and Hope wanted to hold hands more than anything, but when Kaitlyn saw the ball she darted to it!
After the opening day ceremonies, we needed to hurry pack and get ready to go to the Enchanting Dreams Pageant in Santa Nella. Kaitlyn and Camaryn were the best ambassadors anyone could ask for. Considering that they didn't have a lot to do during the pageant, they were awesome and well behaved! It was a really busy weekend and they were both so tired on the way home they fell asleep drinking the Chocolate Milkshakes they had to have!
Thank you so much to Grandma, Auntie Christina and Auntie Christy for all of their help this weekend!
On Monday, Kaitlyn had a blast at Gymnastics before we headed to Fairytale town with Auntie Stephanie, Hope and Beau. They played and played. The bricks for the Yellow Brick Road are all laid, but we can't see them yet :( They are still gated off.
Yesterday was Camaryn's birthday! To describe how much fun Kaitlyn had let me just say I heard "I'm so glad to be here right now" at least 3 dozen times and today she asked if it could be Camaryn's birthday everyday!
We started out the day with Kaitlyn signing up for preschool this year. She will be starting on Tuesday! Yay Kaitlyn! She is pretty excited. From there we hit the store for decorations and goody bags! Kaitlyn wanted to decorate a car stroller at the mall for Camaryn's birthday. After that we hit the mall and the excitement began!
First was Libby Lu were Kaitlyn, Camaryn, Hope and Kayla got "On Tour" make-overs with lots of pink, lots of glitter and lots of excitement! They all looked great! They put on a fashion show, strut their stuff and got ready for the day! We headed down to Picture People from there to have their pictures done to remember the day! After exciting pictures we hit Build-A-Bear for souveniors of Camaryn's special day!
Once we were done with the mall, we went to get Daddy and head to Nana and Papa's house for dinner, cake and ice cream! It was a good day and I'm sure Kaitlyn isn't the only one to sleep well last night :P
Tonight Kaitlyn is going to Daddy's softball game. Tomorrow is another Softball Game. Friday is Kaitlyn's game day! Saturday is Camaryn's birthday party! Monday we are hitting the State Fair and Tuesday Kaitlyn is back in school!
What a week what a week! Can you believe it's already nearing the end of August?
On Monday, Kaitlyn went to the doctor to get her TB test out of the way so she can start back up at school! She is super excited to go back and make new friends! She was not, however, excited to have an owie shot as opposed to a tickle shot! When we got back in the car, she was even more not happy to discover that both DVD players went out :(
From there, we headed to gymnastics where, as always, Kaitlyn had a blast! She did great, followed all of the instructions and showed off some skill :)
After gymnastics we came home for some lunch before picking Daddy up from work. After wepicked up Daddy we headed to Red robin for Uncle Craig's Daddy's (Mike) birthday. Kaitlyn was a pretty well behaved little girl and loved spending time with her cousins.
Tuesday was a busy day! Kaitlyn had her first swim lesson, which she loved! She did fantastic and was a really strong swimmer. She had a blast and wasn't too thrilled about getting out of the pool! From there we washed both my car and hers and took care of a lot of arts and crafts. That night we found out that our storage unit with all of our belongings was taken. Many things were taken including Matthew's crib, our computers (with images I never printed), all of Dusty's baseball cards, Kaitlyn's cute pedal car and retro kitchen and so much more. It was a long night.
Wednesday we started and never stopped! We got out the door early and headed to playdate at the park. Kaitlyn had a blast playing with her friends and wasn't too thrilled about leaving to go to the hospital. But, she got to see Dr. Kono and that lit up her world. She was so thrilled with seeing the "handsome" doctor. And, as always, he was great with her.
From there we babysat baby Alexis and Kaitlyn was so proud and so happy. It was nice for her to be able to love, touch and adore a baby without interference. Kaitlyn is an amazing big sister. She knows the "baby" rules and it's always nice when people are so generous with allowing her to love their baby. She's been through a lot so those special moments she gets means the world. It warms my heart. Thank you to those who are so generous with Kaitlyn and giving her the opportunity to love on a baby after hers has passed.
Straight from there we headed to the Sheriff's station to drop off our reports. After that we headed to Dance Class with Camaryn. Kaitlyn had a meltdown about half way through, but was awesome other than that. We made a mad dash from there to Soccer Practice and made it just in the nick of time! Kaitlyn did great and had a blast!
We came home, relaxed and she went to bed!
This morning started early as well. We ran some errands, went by Auntie Christy's house then to Chick Fil A for our lunch date. Now, we are hard at work on pageant and party stuff before picking up Daddy from work for his softball game.
Tomorrow we are representing Natural Beauty Pageants at a golf tournament in the morning and Kaitlyn has her first Soccer Game tomorrow night!
Be sure to check out all of the new pictures and Luke on the family section. Kaitlyn thinks he's gorgeous and I have to agree!
First, Kaitlyn would like to wish Maw Maw Dora a very Happy Birthday!
On Thursday, Kaitlyn and I had an interesting day. We found out, on our way out to Chick Fil A, that our storage facility had been broken into. We picked up Daddy and headed out there to check it out. Turns out everything was still there, just looked through. We had some yummy lunch at Adalbertos and took Daddy back to work. Since our other plans had been canceled, Kaitlyn and I took care of a couple errands before picking up Daddy from work. Once we picked Daddy up, we headed to Nana and Papa's to go to his ball game.
Aunt Barbara, Uncle Dean, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn went to! Kaitlyn was thrilled. Daddy and Papa played a great game and should have won! After we headed to get some dinner. Halfway through Kaitlyn decided she was much too tired and opted instead to go to the car to go to sleep. No sooner did I get her in her car seat did she fall asleep.
Friday morning started with a trip to the doctor's office. Kaitlyn was complaining of a tummy ache again and some pain in her bottom. Her doctor felt a mass in her stomach and sent her for x-rays. Turns out, she has a blockage that she has been pooping around. It's a pretty large blockage that was causing some internal dialation. They put her on some laxatives for the next couple of months, so we're hoping that helps.
After the doctor's office, we went by cousin Hope's house to see if she could go with us to Fairy Tale Town to see the performance of Snow White and Rose Red. Kaitlyn was thrilled that she could. At Fairy Tale Town we met Camaryn and Aunt Christy. We had a yummy picnic and played until it was too hot to play anymore. The girls all had a blast. Kaitlyn, Hope and I went by the cemetery to water the grass and then Hope went Home. Kaitlyn and I ran some errands before she decided to take a nap. We started her medicine when she woke up and she played and played.
Bright and Early Saturday Morning, we went to Soccer Practice. They had a scrimmage game, learned how to bounce the ball off their heads, practiced dribbling and their kicks. Kaitlyn did pretty good. From there, Kaitlyn wanted to buy Lemonaide from Hope's lemonaide stand, so we went by there.
When we got home on Saturday, we played tea party, dress-up, and got ready for Kaitlyn to go to Nana and Papa's house. Kaitlyn and Camaryn had fun playing at Nana and Papa's house while Mommy, Daddy, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Billy and Chet went to the movies. Tropic Thunder was hilarious!
I hope everyone is doing great and sending Amber lots of Happy Labor Vibes to try and get Cousin Luke to come out and meet the world waiting for him!
Kaitlyn would like to wish Aunt Amber, All the way in Alabama a very happy Birthday!
Kaitlyn had such a fun day today! It started with a trip to the store for our picnic lunch stuff. Kaitlyn wanted everything the store had to offer. Her eyes were definately bigger than her tummy could have been!
From there, we headed to the zoo. It was nice and not at all crowded. We got to see most of the animals being fed and the Tiger nice and close! Today, Kaitlyn's favorite was the Zebras. She said they were being really nice neighbors to the Antelope!
After the zoo, we went to the park for our picnic. Kaitlyn was a pretty good eater and then couldn't control herself any longer and had to feed the ducks. She was great at feeding the ducks and had an obvious blast (I'll upload video soon :P )
From there it was time for Fairytale town. Kaitlyn quickly set off making new friends and having fun doing everything in the park :) We ended our outing with a snow cone and plans to go back on Friday :)
Thanks to everyone who is helping with Kaitlyn's fundraiser! I have no doubt that we'll meet the large goal we set!
Last night was Kaitlyn's first soccer practice! She had so much fun and did great! Because it's under 6, it's non competitive. I'm not sure where (haha) Kaitlyn got her competitive streak from, but at the end of practice, she ran to me yelling "Did I win Soccer Practice!?!" and I'm sure it didn't help when Uncle Dean told her she was the best kicker out there!
This morning we had a celebration to honor Matthew's birthday. We had a balloon release at the cemetery. Kaitlyn was a great big sister, as always, and a huge help. Thanks so much to everyone that was there.
After lunch, Kaitlyn was pretty tired and went to sleep not too long after getting home!
Kaitlyn wants to wish her Mommy and Daddy a happy anniversary!

Today we celebrated Matthew's birthday. After some yummy breakfast we headed to Home Depot and went to the cemetery. Kaitlyn was a pretty good girl while Daddy and I worked on laying the sod. Kaitlyn gave Matthew the balloon she brought him and the ones from Mommy and Daddy.
From the cemetery we headed to Nana and Papa's house where Kaitlyn took a nice long nap. From there, Auntie Christy took Kaitlyn to Kayla's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese while I went to her first soccer practice/parent meeting. Kaitlyn had so much fun at Kayla's party!
Kaitlyn would like to wish her baby brother the Happiest Birthday Heaven has to offer!! She misses him so much and would give the world to play with him and have one more day to kiss him and hold him and hug him. She has lots of birthday ideas she wants to share with him and lots of love she wants to give him. She's making his birthday card now to take to the cemetery for him to see from Heaven. She says the card reads "Happy Birthday Matthew" and she drew a picture of Max on the front (from Max and Ruby, Ruby is the big sister and Max is the little brother)
Kaitlyn would also like to wish Kayla a happy 3rd Birthday!
