Huge Congratulations to the Pong Family who just found out they were expecting their first baby! Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey have been a great aunt and uncle so far, I'm sure they are excited to add in another niece or nephew! Also Congratulations to our friends Dorin, Nicole and Dominick as well as Patty, Christian and Uziel who are both welcoming second babies into their families! We know Dominick and Uziel will be amazing big brothers! Talk about a baby boom! :) 09/23/08
To say things have been super busy wouldn't even begin to describe the last few days! Grandma said Kaitlyn did wonderful on the flight home Friday. Daddy and I drove and met her there much later. After a long nap, Kaitlyn went to her soccer game with Grandma! She said she did wonderfully and her coach said she did great as well! She sure was happy to see us when we got home! On Saturday we went to Monterey for Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey's Engagement Party. They both looked great and everything went beautifully! Kaitlyn had a boyfriend named Matthew that she paraded around the party showing off. There was also an accordion player who Kaitlyn was in love with! She ha a blast singing with him, doing the Chicken Dance and dancing her heart out! We stayed the night at their house and had a lot of fun playing into the night! We want to wish a huge congratulations to Uncle Davey's sister and husband, Jenny and Yong on their pregnancy! Uncle Davey made a delicious breakfast on Sunday morning and started home soon after! Once we arrived home, we headed to the cemetery and then to Nana and Papa's! Even though Kaitlyn and Camaryn had just spent an entire week together and were only apart for maybe 24 hours, when they saw eachother you would have thought they had been seperated for a lifetime! Their bond is so sweet and so special! We had a yummy dinner (Thanks Daddy!) and the girls roasted marshmallows and played soccer after. From there, we picked up our cookie orders from Auntie Barbara's house! Yay for cookie orders! This morning while Kaitlyn was at school, we sorted, labelled and put thank you cards on all of the cookie orders! When Kaitly got out of school we started deliverig them! She said she had a wonderful day and was so excited to see her friends and tell them about Las Vegas! Kaitlyn delivered some cookies and the we headed to Gymnastics! She did great, as always! The we delivered some more cookies!! After we delivered all the cookies we had to deliver for the day we went to see Auntie Jamie and baby Carmen, who is looking gorgeous! This evening Daddy's friend Billy joined us for dinner and Kaitlyn had a blast. Looking around today it was and is amazing to know how many wonderful people we have as a part of our family and in our circle of friends. Thank you for making life such a bright and sunny place! We want to welcome Dylan Marcus into the world!! Dylan was born today at 12:55 PM weighing 8 lbs 13 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long! Congratulations Kayla on being a Big Sister!!!  09/17/08
Vegas has been great so far! The girls are doing really good and loving their time together. Yesterday morning started with the girls enjoying the delicious breakfast that was delivered to our room! After that they were in charge of helping us get to work!! They got to color, walk around, play with Kaitlyn's new barbies (she's in love with Barbie Princess and the Diamond Castle) and meet new people. Since they were SO awesome, after our yummy dinner they earned their prize of a trip to Circus Circus! They played every game twice :P, watched a circus act and then we headed to the arcade. Both Camaryn and I won jackpots on ticket and Kaitlyn had a blast and showed her skills with some shooting games! They cashed them in for stuffed animals and candy! On the way back to our hotel, Kaitlyn fell asleep for the night and Camaryn thought about it. Once Camaryn was asleep, Auntie Christy and Mommy went to discover Vegas for a few hours :) Camaryn woke up, but Uncle Dusty earned his *favorite* Uncle status by cuddling and watching TV with her until she was asleep! After only a couple hours of sleep for the mommies, it was time to start again. Kaitlyn and Camaryn made a lot of new friends, drew a lot of pictures and watched a movie while we worked. They enjoyed room service for lunch and were so excited to get back to the room. After Camaryn's nap, it was time to start having some fun! Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian joined us on the strip. We went to MGM Grand and saw the tiger! It was so neat (check out the pictures!) We went to the Rain Forest Cafe for a super yummy and fun dinner! The girls got to pick out their prizes for being so good and Kaitlyn got to pick out prizes for her cousins. She was so excited to buy something for Baby Carmen. She's talked about her to everyone and how that's what she's going to name her baby (She swears she's having a girl and a boy and name them Carmen and Matthew) when she grows up! Then, we got back in another taxi to get to Treasure Island. Kaitlyn had our cab driver laughing. She pointed out the mall, her favorite stores, which hotels she loved the most and all the reasons she is a rock star. We watched the show in front of Treasure Island and then Kaitlyn was tired. She fell asleep in the taxi on the way back to our hotel. Tomorrow is a short work day. We REALLY want to go to Excalibur with the girls :) We also want to have a grown-up night, so we shall see. It is also the night of the CCPOA dinner which should be fun :) Friday we all go home! Kaitlyn is flying with Grandma, Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian. Camaryn is flying home with her mommy on another flight. Me and Daddy are driving the truck back. Kaitlyn will be home in time for her soccer game! And we're hoping to be. Saturday is Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey's Engagement Party!! We're so excited! It's a busy time right now, but that's how we love it :) Just a couple more quick notes:  Please keep Papa in your thoughts. He was readmitted to the hospital yesterday with more tummy problems, they are trying to get his gallbladder surgery moved up.  Huge THANK YOU to Auntie Barbara for getting and storing all of Kaitlyn's orders. What an awesome and sweet thing to do! Another Huge Thank you to Uncle Scotty and Auntie Jamie for getting Kaitlyn's soccer pictures for me! There is something special I wanted to do with all of our BB West orders and I was really worried I wouldn't be able to complete it since Auntie Barbara was unable to pick up the pictures. Luckily, Uncle Scotty and Auntie Jamie were a huge help so it can be done! YAY! We are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. We hope everyone is having an awesome week! 09/15/08
We made it! Daddy and I left at 7 AM today and arrived at little after 6 PM in Las Vegas, NV for a week of fun! Kaitlyn flew with Grandma and Auntie Christina. Grandma said she was a little scared at first, but did great and ended up taking a nap halfway through the short flight. Shortly after, Camryn arrived. The girls have been good, tired and enjoyed eahothers company! Tomorrow starts a day of hard work ;P I'm sure I'll have some new pictures tomorrow, for now, I am exhausted! 09/15/08
Well, we're all packed up and just about ready to get going in the morning! Vegas here we come!!! We had a fun and exciting day today!! We got everything all packed and then Daddy and I headed out. Kaitlyn decided she would rather make cookies with Grandma. We went to the cemetery to visit Matthew and give him our love. After, Daddy and I went to see Auntie Jamie and Uncle Joel. Carmen looked gorgeous! Her head looks better already! We ran into Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn while we were there too! After visiting Carmen (who we already miss!) we headed to Daddy's work and then Walmart! We did some playing, some packing and then it was time to go to sleep. We're leaving bright and early tomorrow! I'll have the new laptop and camera so look forward to more updates while we're gone :) 09/13/08
To say this has been a busy week would be an absolute understatement! On Tuesday morning, Kaitlyn decided that if she was good at school, she wanted to have a trip to the library as a treat. I was more than happy to oblige. Kaitlyn was great at school. This was family week. Miss Kim said Kaitlyn proudly talked about her mommy, daddy and baby brother with love. Since she was good, we headed to the library. On the way, she told me all that she learned at school. She learned about her skull and brain and the importance of both. At the library she got her card and checked out 3 books. She got a book on Hamsters, a book on Beagles and a Max and Ruby book. As soon as we got home she wanted to read them. She loved learning all about Beagles and made Archie lay on the ground with her as she listened. Wednesday night, Kaitlyn had soccer practice. She enjoyed showing off for Daddy, kicking the ball, working on her drag backs and protecting the ball from others. We only got to stay for about half of the practice before it was time to head to Daddy's game. Kaitlyn was so excited to see Daddy play! We went to Daddy's game and were joined by Auntie Jamie, Auntie Barbara, Uncle Dean and Sasha. It was a great game, Daddy and Uncle Joel played wonderfully! We were so proud and impressed! They had a double header, lost the first game and won the second. Kaitlyn kissed Auntie Jamie's tummy and told Carmen to hurry up and get here, they had a lot to do! Little did we know... Thursday morning, Auntie Jamie went into labor! Kaitlyn had a great day at school and was so excited! After Kaitlyn got out of school, we headed to the hospital for a quick "good luck" visit! We spent the rest of the day with Kaitlyn napping, some shopping for Vegas and waiting for Carmen to arrive. And Friday morning Carmen was here. When I told Kaitlyn, she was so excited! She couldn't wait to meet her new cousin!! Friday was a very busy day!! While Kaitlyn was at school, I packed everything for Las Vegas. I picked Kaitlyn up from school and went and saw Baby Carmen who is GORGEOUS! She is absolutely beautiful. Kaitlyn kissed her hands and feet and gently sang her the Buenos Dias song. We are so happy for Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel and their beautiful baby girl. From the hospital we got some yummy food and then headed home for a little while. We then headed to the soccer game. It was time to play a game! Kaitlyn did awesome! I was so proud of her. She used her drag backs really well and kicked the ball down the field like a champ! I won 4 tickets to the Circus, so after the game we loaded up in the car with Camaryn and headed on our way! We were supposed to pick up daddy on the way, but he decided he was too tired from work so we went without him. The girls did really good! Kaitlyn loved the circus! Camaryn was not too impressed :P Today has been another busy day! I did a lot of work this morning on orders for invites and such and then we met up with Daddy at Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian's old house! Daddy was helping them move. While they all worked hard, we went to the park with Archie, Auntie Christina and Zoe. They had a fabulous time. Once Daddy was all done we headed over to Nana and Papa's house. They are going to babysit Archie for us while we're gone :) Daddy cooked some delicious steaks while the girls played. Auntie Barbara and Uncle Dean joined us and it was a good night. Tomorrow is going to be a trip to the cemetery, Sunday Dinner and some last minute shopping before we leave. Hopefully we'll get to see baby Carmen! Daddy and I will leave very early Monday morning in the Penske Truck. Grandma, Auntie Christina and Kaitlyn's flight leaves around 10 AM. Auntie Christy and Camaryn's flight leaves around 11:30 AM. We're looking forward to a fun week in Vegas and will be back in time for Kaitlyn's game Friday! We hope everyone has had a great week and has a wonderful one next week!! 09/13/08

We are very excited to announce the arrival of Carmen Elyse! From the new Mommy: After 16 hours of drug free hard labor and 3 hours of pushing, plus an attempted vacuum extraction, Carmen Elyse Arellano arrived via C-Section at 3:28 AM on September 12. She is a beautiful 9 lbs 4.4 ounces, 20.5 inches long and Mommy and Daddy are above the moon. We CANNOT wait to meet her.  09/11/08
Kaitlyn wants to ask everyone to keep her Auntie Jamie in their thoughts for a Happy, Healthy and Safe Delivery of Baby Carmen. She went into labor this morning at 7:30 and is still being a trooper! We're hoping Carmen arrives soon and healthy! We can't wait to meet her (especially Kaitlyn!) 09/11/08
