Ever since a Max and Ruby episode, Kaitlyn has been desperate to have a yard sale and sell lemonaide. Well, today was that day! Kaitlyn and Daddy made lemonaid and she had a blast selling it and looking for customers to buy it from her! She sold a total of 2 pitchers to add to her piggy bank!
Yesterday was SUCH a busy day! We started off the morning with helping with Miss Sarah's baby shower and enjoying the festivities before heading to the zoo. Kaitlyn was so excited to go to the zoo and see Spiderman before AJ's birthday party. When we got there, the "mean old lady" as Kaitlyn has described her, wouldn't let us see him :( She said there were too many kids and not enough time. Kaitlyn was heart broken :( She had a lot of fun at AJ's birthday party before heading to Grandmas house where Daddy was much too happy to take her swiming!!
We started off this morning by mailing out some cards before going to the cemetery. Kaitlyn helped me water all of the grass and keep everything pretty looking. From there, we headed to Sunrise Mall for a Natural Beauty Pageant outing/play date!
We met Miss April and Shelby at the mall, followed by Miss Stacey and Tirzrah, followed by Aunt Stephanie, Hope and Beau and lastly joined by Auntie Christy and Camaryn. The girls had so much fun playing, running, jumping and giggling. Once the playing was done, it was time to eat some yummy food.
After the mall, we headed to Nana and Papa's to help out Auntie Christy with some baby shower stuff for Miss Sarah's baby shower.
From there, we headed home to get ready to go to Fairy Tale town. Several months ago, we purchased a brick for the yellow brick road in Matthew's honor. Tonight was the ground breaking to lay the first brick. All of the first series of bricks should be in place within 2 weeks of Monday. We are very excited to see Matthew's brick.
Because we purchased a brick, we, and our closest family, were invited to the celebration tonight. Daddy, Kaityn and I were joined by Grandma, Nana, Auntie Christina, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn. Thanks so much for making it out. We had plenty of food and way too much fun!
Tomorrow promises to be another busy day followed by a very busy week! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!
What a busy little day yesterday was! It started in the morning when we went and took Daddy his wallet that he had forgotten. From there we headed to the cemetery before we met Auntie Christy and Camaryn at the taqueria.
The girls were so funny while we were eating. There was a table full of police officers near us and they both loudly and excitedly kept declaring "Look, it's Police Officers!" and waving. When they waved back, they didn't stop talking about it the rest of the time we were there.
After eating, we headed to Marshalls. Kaitlyn had to go to the bathroom and when she pooped, she had some blood at the end and dripping when she was done. I called her doctor's office who were amazing and saw her immediately. Kaitlyn was such a champ the entire time. She even let the doctor to a rectal exam! The doctor is pretty sure she has polyps :( We have to watch her bowel movements for the next week. If the bleeding doesn't clear up on it's own in a week, she has to see a GI doctor for a full exam :( Poor baby girl!
From there, we went to Nana and Papa's house before heading to the ball game! Kaitlyn had a lot of fun at the game playing and cheering for Daddy! That was until the end of the game. When she ran and jumped away at the playground and landed her poor elbow on the steps :( Poor little glamour girl!
Today is a busy day! We have a Natural Beauty Pageant Meet-up playdate today, followed up by working on Sarah's shower, ended by a trip to Fairy Tale Town. They are beginning to lay the bricks today so we, and our close family, were invited to a special invitation only event there tonight. Kaitlyn is so excited to see the yellow brick road where her brother's brick will be.
After watching Kaitlyn yesterday, it was hard not to be incredibly proud of her. As far as 3 year olds go, she is absolutely amazing.
Kaitlyn is really smart. She can count up to 39 without help and too 100 with a little encouragment. She can count to 10 in spanish as well as say Hi, by, thank you, please, up, open and a few others. She recognizes all of her letters and what noises most of them make. She knows how to ryhme and spends all day making ryhmes! She loves telling stories, loves making up stories and songs, and loves to dance! She has absolutely no problem at the world making friends, sharing or being selfless. She's funny, outgoing, athletic and so incredibly sweet and loving. She says "I Love you" at least 50 times a day and is so loving to those around her.
Kaitlyn starts her first soccer practice on Monday! I'm sure she's going to do great. Next year she wants to play baseball too. Dusty and I thought about putting her in this year, but we both worries about her getting hit by a ball. She can hit off a pitch, throw and catch pretty darn good though. She might even skip t-ball ;) She's doing amazing in gymnastics. When I was given the list of "skills" to cross off there were hardly any left for her chart. She is great on the bars, loves doing her flips and getting so coordinated!
Kaitlyn is also a wonderful big sister. She talks to Matthew everyday to tell him how much she loves him and how much she misses him and goes with me to make sure the cemetery looks good. She finds things all the time that she thinks he would like and has been so incredibly helpful in planning his birthday celebration.
This has been a fun and busy week that is only going to get busier :)
Yesterday we went to play date and it was so much fun. Kaitlyn was adorable, she was playing with Dominick and Taveon when she went and sat down and let out an exagerated sigh. I asked her what was wrong and she so sadly explained to me that she didn't have a prince to take her to the ball. Taveon went over and put her head in his hands and said he would take her to the ball! Too cute!
From there, we went to the cemetery. Kaitlyn took her first nap in weeks! We picked up Daddy and then went to Nana and Papa's house where Kaitlyn was so excited to play with Camaryn and cried when she couldn't go to the ball game with us!
At Daddy and Papa's ball game, she was so excited to see Auntie Jamie, Mason, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig, Hope and Beau. Kaitlyn and Hope played and Kaitlyn made a few new friends. She loves running around and having a blast!
We had some yummy dinner at Red Robin before it was time for nighty night. Today we are going to help Auntie Christy get things ready for Miss Sarah's baby shower on Saturday before Daddy's ball game. It's going to be a super fun day!
Kaitlyn got her soccer team assignment today! She is now a proud member of the All Stars! Her first game is August 22! I'll talk to her coach tomorrow to find out when their first practice is! I'm so excited. She has her super cute black Adidas soccer shorts with matching socks, matching shin guards and cute soccer straps for her shirt. Now all I need is to find her some cleats!
On Friday we got a nice and early start. We headed to the cemetery before going to Auntie Christy's house to get started on some Baby Shower preperations for Baby Carmen's arrival!
At Auntie Christy's house we worked on baby shower stuff before hitting the road. We made it to 2 different JoAnn's, In 'n' Out and then to the nail salon. The girls were so excited to have a nice foot soak and rub before their manicures. Kaitlyn insisted on sparkly blue polish and Camaryn on a sparkly pink.
While Auntie Christy finished up, we headed to the pet store where the girls oohed and awed over all the fishies, crabs, kitties and rats.
Friday was a long night with a lot of work. Kaitlyn and Camaryn were awesome and made it so much easier.
Saturday morning we started early. While we were driving to the cemetery, Kaitlyn was kicking my seat. She knows better so I had to tell her to stop. After a few moments, this is the conversation that she started:
K: I'm sorry I was bad to you Mommy
M: It's ok Kaitlyn, you should just be a good girl though.
K: Ok, I Will. Sometimes I just don't know better though
M: Yes you do know better though, you know not to do that
K: But sometimes, I have to be bad because I'm a little girl and I have to be bad.
I almost couldn't stop laughing!
Saturday was a lot of hard work that was well worth it in the end. I think Kaitlyn had an absolute blast! She got to play with some of her favorite people and enjoy it! Be sure to check out all of the pictures :)
Also, we were mentioned in a story in the Sacramento Bee! Be sure to check it out!
Yesterday was a busy day! We started off the morning with a trip to Home Depot to get Sod and then to the cemetery to lay it! We had some yummy lunch before Kaitlyn visited with Nana while Mommy went to the Smog place and DMV. Kaitlyn was so excited to make cookies and even happier when Camaryn got there!
Both girls went with us to Daddy and Papa's game! Daddy hit another homerun! Yay Daddy!! We also got to see Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel and Mason. Kaitlyn was so excited to see Auntie Jamie and give baby Carmen all her love :)
This morning started with a trip to the post office, followed by a trip to the Dollar Store, followed by a trip to Walmart. Kaitlyn helped me order cakes for Auntie Jamie and Uncle Joel's baby shower before we headed to the cemetery to water the Sod we laid yesterday! Kaitlyn was a good big helper, as always.
After leaving the cemetery we went to Chick Fil A for our normal weekly play date with Kaitlyn's couin Camaryn and friend Kayla. The girls played hard and good before they decided they wanted some ice cream. So, Kaitlyn and Camaryn traded in their kid's meal toys and Kayla handed over some money and they went to that counter and got themselves some ice cream!
From there, Camaryn, Auntie Christy, Kaitlyn and I headed to the mall. The girls were pretty good in the stores and earned themselves a trip around the merry go round! They were happy to say the least! I'm not sure if they loved the merry go round or having glitter sparkles in their hair at Libby Lu!
After the mall we picked up Daddy from work to go to Nana's before the ball game. Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean went to the game too! Daddy hit another Homerun!! Kaitlyn's friend Dominick was there too and his daddy got to play in the game too!
Kaitlyn had a blast and made new friends all day long. She's great at that :)
She had a wonderful day and was so tired by the time we got in the car :)
Kaitlyn and I headed to the zoo. When we got there, she decided she wanted to go to Funderland instead and I was only too happy to oblige. We had an absolute blast. Kaitlyn rode on all the rides again and again. She made new friends, ran wild and enjoyed lots of goodies.
After, we came home to play and to sew! Kaitlyn is a great helper!
Kaitlyn showed that she has learned a lot about cars today and joke telling. She's an absolute delight :)
Let me back up to our how week went :) Thursday night Daddy had a softball game! Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean came out to watch. Kaitlyn had a blast playing with all the kids and showed off how not shy she is :) She shared all of her chalk and called it a chalk party :)
Friday morning, Kaitlyn decided she had to go with Grandma and Grandpa up to Tahoe before Mommy and Daddy could go. While Kaitlyn was partying it up in Tahoe, Daddy helped Nana and Papa at Danny and Evelyn's house with the moving. I worked on some of Matthew's birthday stuff. Daddy and I went to see the Dark Knight, which was AWESOME, and then headed up to Tahoe to see everyone. We made it there around 1 AM very tired indeed.
On Saturday we started off the morning with some yummy breakfast. After that we loaded into the car and head into the city. We went to the Arts and Crafts Fair where Kaitlyn was very happy to have her entire face painted up like a butterfly :) After browsing for a while, we headed to the lake. Kaitlyn had a blast swimming in the lake and making sand castles before we headed to the cabin to have lunch.
We all had lunch and Kaitlyn got to play a lot more. She played baseball with a stick and tennis ball and got a few hits in :) We then went back into Tahoe and did some shopping while Daddy and Kaitlyn played Minature Golf. Daddy said she almost won and for a while was beating him ;) By the time we got back and had dinner, Kaitlyn was exhausted :)
This morning, we got around and packed up before playing some outside. Kaitlyn has two new videos to share with you:
On Monday, it was Auntie Christina's birthday! We started our day by lounging a little bit before we went to run some little errands. We went to drop something off at Nana's house and then headed to McDonald's to play for a couple hours before going to the fabric store and the mall. After work, Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian came over and we went to eat afte Auntie Christina opened her presents. We had some yummy Mexican food!
Tuesday was Papa's birthday! We started our day by running some light errands and then getting back to Grandma's house. When we got here, Auntie Sammie was here with Diego the Puppy! We got to play a little bit before it was time to get Daddy at work. We picked up daddy and took him to Nana and Papa's house for Papa's birthday dinner. Daddy kicked butt, as always, with the steaks and we had a delicious dinner followed by some fun marshmallow roasting!
Today we started super early running some errands. Kaitlyn's allergies were so bad that we didn't get to go to gymnastics or play date :( She was bummed. We did get some wedding dress browsing with Auntie Sammie in though. Kaitlyn was very upset that she didn't get to try on any blue ones in her size! Then, we went to Daddy's game and watched him play awesome!
We do want to wish Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel and soon to be Baby cousin Carmen a safe trip to TN!
Tomorrow, we are going to do some shopping for Baby Carmen's baby shower and then Daddy has another ball game :)
