Kaitlyn had a happy, busy, fun day! we started out with her going to school. When I was down the street from her school, a puppy dog ran out in the street and I swerved to avoid it. The problem was the people across the street had their garbage cans out. I hit the garbage can and the side view mirror came flying off :(
So, I went to see Kaitlyn's daddy and show him the bad news :( From there, I headed to Camaryn's house to pick her up. She asked to go with me to pick up Kaitlyn from school. Kaitlyn was so proud to show off her cousin and introduced her to everyone!
From there, we went to Kaitlyn's Grandma's house. The girls had so much fun. They helped me wrap presents. They helped me wrap a present, played in Kaitlyn's room and had some snacks before heading outside to play. There they played, drove in the car, and ran like crazy little girls! Then, they wanted to take a bath. They had a fun, splishy, splashy bath before getting dressed and watching Dora. After Dora, it was time to go. We loaded in the car and went to get Daddy/Uncle Dusty!
After picking him up, it was time for the ball game. The girls got to play, Kaitlyn rode her big girl bike and Daddy and Papa played ball.
After the game, we headed to the mall where Camaryn tried on some pretty cute glasses before we all got some yummy food.
You might notice that Camaryn is now wearing glasses. On Monday, her mommy and daddy got the bad news. The inward turning of her eye they've noticed getting progressively worse over the past couple of months is a case of Stramismus. Stramismus is also known as "lazy" eye. The only way to correct Camaryn's eye and her poor vision is with glasses. Luckily, our gorgeous little Camaryn looks fantastic in glasses! She was such a big girl wearing them all day today! We are very proud of her for being such a responsible and mature big girl. I know it isn't easy on her mommy and daddy but anything we can do to make it easier on them, we're happy to do it! Kaitlyn really wants glasses like her cousin!
Monday we had lunch with daddy and a pretty relaxing day. That was the last of relaxing though!
Tuesday morning started with Kaitlyn going to school while mommy took care of errands and stuff. On the way to school Kaitlyn asked what I was going to do while she was at school. I told her I didn't know. She said "You go to the store, buy stuff for Matthew and go to the cemetery." So, I did. Lo and behold, everything was removed from all the baby sites :( Matthew's site was bare. And it was so cute, it had a ton of pretty pinwheels, an angel, octopus snow globe, these awesome wooden pinwheels, and a lot of flowers.
Tuesday afternoon Kaitlyn and I met up with Cousin Cami for some fun playing at McDonalds. The girls were so good!! They were very excited to go to the pet store. Kaitlyn got to help Camaryn pick out a rat and decide that she wants a Turtle. But, not one that swims, one that walks. Camaryn's new rat is named Ron. She is very protective of it!
From there we went to Aunt Barbara's and saw her, Uncle Dean and little Sasha. We all went and met Nana at the Fabric store. Kaitlyn slept through most of the store. She adores the fabric store, when she woke up, she helped pick out some things for Matthew. Soon, we went to Walmart before meeting Daddy for dinner. After dinner, we were driving home and Dusty was in the old truck. Too bad, it broke down and we spent a while helping him get it running. Huge thanks to Uncle Scotty!!
This morning was another early, busy start! Kaitlyn went to school while I went to run some errands. I saw Camaryn and watched her play with Little Mister Ron. After, I went to pick up Kaitlyn from school. She had asked if she could go to the cemetery to take things to Matthew and I obliged. She happily helped decorate his site and talk about him.
After the cemetery, Kaitlyn fell asleep. We headed to the park while she slept. Then, she woke up in time for playdate! Kaitlyn was a little grumpy in the beginning and then had a blast! Soon after we went to Grandma's house to get Daddy's bat and her big girl bike to take to the game. Then, we picked up daddy before heading to the hair cutting place.
Soon, we headed to Nana and Papa's house where Kaitlyn played for a little while before we went to the game. Daddy played awesome!!! Kaitlyn spent the time riding her bike and with Nana and Aunt Jamie. She was so happy. She fell asleep during the last inning.
The rest of the week promises to be busy! Tomorrow, Kaitlyn has school. After, Camaryn wants to go with me to pick her up. Kaitlyn is super excited and said she can't wait for Camaryn to be 3 so she can go to school too!! After that is some errands and then Daddy has a nice and early game. I'm sure dinner will follow! Friday is a teacher inservice day, so we can rest then!
I'm going to try and get some new pictures and do some updates as soon as possible!
We're home!! Both girls were amazing!! I am so proud of them both. Kaitlyn did fantastic and went on stage all by herself all three times! I'm working on uploading video now!
Camaryn walked away with a Queen title for her age division in Golden Carousel, Miss Royal Essense and America's Little Miss!! YAY!!
Kaitlyn walked away with a Princess title for her age division in America's Little Miss and Miss Royal Essense and a photogenic title in Golden Carousel. She also received her crown and sash as the new America's Little Miss spokesmodel!
The girls had an absolute blast! Kaitlyn is sound asleep and I'd bet money that Camaryn is too!
We're in Santa Nella! Kaitlyn and Camaryn are competing in a Triple Header Spring pageant today! They are both pretty excited!
Yesterday, Auntie Sammie came to visit and go to a baby shower. Kaitlyn was so excited to see her! She even drew a picture for her to take to her friend's baby shower as Kaitlyn's present. Kaitlyn got to do some playing with daddy and some shopping with Grandma before we left.
On the drive down, Kaitlyn and Camaryn went back and forth between being sweet angels and do everything they could to irritate eachother! They had a blast. We made it safely, got into our room, did a little organizing and then we ventured out on an adventure. We found a cool Del Taco with a huge indoor play area and the girls had a blast. When we got back to the room, Kaitlyn was out pretty quickly. Camaryn decided she wanted to stay up as long as possible before going to sleep!
Today should be a fun and exciting day. Both girls are doing beauty wear, casual wear and talent. I have my camera but I can't take any pics in the pageant and I have my video camera. Wish the girls lots of luck and I'll update when we're all finished and ready to go!
Kaitlyn sure is an ambitious little girl. On Sunday, she is very excited and happy to be doing a pageant. Tonight we were filling out her Entry form, which is basically, name, age, favorite food, favorite color and ambition in life. I asked Kaitlyn each question so she could answer them and it could be "her" form. So, I got Kaitlyn Reagan Miller, 3, Green Grapes, Purple and "I want to be a doctor. Doctor's are nice and help people feel better. Doctor's are my favorite people" so plainely and matter of factly I had to wonder how often she's thought about it.
It has been a pretty busy week.
On Tuesday, Kaitlyn was asked to go to Picture People to have some pictures taken for their walls! She did AMAZING. I was so proud of her. It was nearly impossible to pick which couple I was going to buy, I uploaded them all to the picture page and you can see for yourself!
On Wednesday, Kaitlyn had her school field trip. She was so excited to be able to ride on the light rail. In class she has been learning about the differences between the city and the country and reading a book on the Subway. Kaitlyn has been so excited about going to the Sub"e" way and riding the train. We rode it from 50 and Watt Ave to Downtown, had lunch and then rode it back. It was interesting. She had a blast though!
After, we took a little rest and from there went to the play date! She was so excited to see everyone and play on the playground. She got to experience a portapotty and was not impressed or pleased! I was so happy that she was finally bruise free on her legs. I had literally just commented on it, when she ran to me and bit it. She got a huge strawberry on her leg from her ankle to her knee and skinned her ankle about a 1/8" from where she scrapped it on Saturday. She was so upset! I don't blame her, it is still bleeding through the bandaid and her sock when she walks, she got it in the worst possible spot!
From there we headed to pick up Daddy from work and head to Nana and Papa's house. We all got ready and in the car and headed to Folsom to have dinner for Uncle Allen's birthday. Kaitlyn had a blast with her cousins and I got to eat some yummy food. Daddy doesn't normally eat before a game because it gives him a tummy ache.
After the dinner, we headed to the ball field to watch Daddy and Papa play some ball. Kaitlyn played and played at the playground before she got surprised by cousin Hope, Auntie Stephanie and Uncle Craig. Of course, after she saw Hope she had to get back to the playground and play even more!! Soon, the girls were ready to watch the game. Daddy hit another homerun over the fence!! He was so happy and Kaitlyn was so proud. The girls had a blast at the game eating cookies, ring pops and playing with Mason.
Believe me, it didn't take long for Kaitlyn to fall asleep in the car after the game!
Today Kaitlyn went to school and then took a very long nap before heading to Ms. April's dance studio. After, she got to see daddy for a little while before he left for his Thursday night game, which he won!!
Tomorrow Kaitlyn has school and then we'll see Ms. April again! Saturday is a day of rest before we head to Santa Nella for the pageant and then Sunday is the triple header pageant! Wish the princess and her cousin Cami lots of luck!
The super cute one of her hunting for Easter Eggs was too large to be uploaded to photobucket, but you can check it out at her drop box website :) Go there by clicking the link to videos on the front page or by going here:
After the last post, Kaitlyn went out and excitedly found all of the Easter Eggs that the bunny left for her! She had a blast. While she was searching for eggs, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul and Cousin Felecia came over. Auntie Beth had brought eggs too, so Uncle Paul hid those while Kaitlyn searched for the others! Kaitlyn was so excited and so happy to look for all the eggs. Shortly after, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian and Zoe came over, soon followed by Auntie Jamie and Uncle Scotty. Kaitlyn had SOOO much fun playing!!
After we ate a bunch of yummy food, we loaded up in the car and got ready to hit the road! Our first stop was the cemetery. We took Matthew his Easter Basket that the Easter Bunny brought him. Matthew had a Baseball Easter Basket with a very pretty and tall Easter Lilly. It also had two fun snowglobes in it. We also took Matthew some really neat wooden pinwheels in the shape of a zebra and a flamingo. After giving Matthew our love, we headed to Nana and Papa's house.
At Nana and Papa's house, we wasted no time digging in on some more yummy food! After eating, it was Easter basket time. Boy howdy, those girls had fun. Kaitlyn opened her basket from Nana and Papa first and was so excited to get her pretty minnie dress, Enchanted DVD, a sleeping Beauty cup and so many toys. Next, she wanted to open her basket from Aunt Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn. She was so excited to get a dress for her and a matching one for her baby!! She loved all of her goodies and fun stuff!! Next, she opened her basket from Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and Hope. She was so excited to see her Minnie and Mickey ball and new movie! She loved everything in her basket! Last, but not least, she opened her basket from Hope's Pop Mike! It had fun jewelry and fun nails!
After all of those Easter Baskets, it was time to hunt for Easter Eggs!! After the girls hunted, they played and played and played and played until it was time to go home!
We hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter. Thank you to everyone from Kaitlyn for making the day so special!
Kaitlyn would like to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY EASTER!!!!!
Today is going to be a long day, so I'm going to update once this morning and again tonight :)
Kaitlyn woke up at 5:30 to get into bed with us and watch Sesame Street. When she fell asleep again, the Easter Bunny took her great presents out to the living room to wait for her.
At 8:30, she woke up very excited to go out and see what the Easter Bunny brought her. Her first basket was from the Easter Bunny. She was so excited to open the basket!! She immediately went to the Hello Kitty butterfly catcher. She continued to open to see her Dora Kite, Butterfly kite, butterfly holder, bug holder, pinwheels, dress, sunglasses, microphone, Dora Helmet, make-up, ice cream Cabbage Patch kid, gardening tools and I don't even remember what else!
Next, she opened her basket from Grandma and Grandpa! She was so excited to have her very own big girl bike! She also got the Mermaid Dora she wanted that goes in the bathtub, a new pool, candy and fun stuff!
After that, Kaitlyn opened her basket from Great-Grandma Mauda. She loved her megaphone, barbie, pom poms and yummy candy!!
After Daddy and Mommy shower, Kaitlyn is going to take a fun bath and search out her Easter Eggs, then dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's with Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul, and cousin Felecia!
After the first dinner, it will be time to go to the cemetery. From there, we'll head to Nana and Papa's house!
I'm sure by the time we get home tonight Kaitlyn will be more than ready for bed!
We decided to head down to Old Sac today for the parade and Easter festivities! We met with Nana, Papa, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and Hope! We hung around Old Sac for quite some time to discover they weren't going to do the parade!!
To make up for it, we had a yummy lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. The girls had so much fun playing.
Kaitlyn is napping now, but when she wakes up we're going to have so much dying some eggs!!!
Kaitlyn would like to wish Uncle Allen a very happy birthday!!
Today was a fun and busy day! This morning I noticed a missed call on my phone and discovered it was Mrs. Skinner with Carmichael Arden-Times and she wanted to use Kaitlyn for a shot they were doing for the newspaper with the Easter Bunny! After taking daddy some Burger King, we were there. Kaitlyn had her pretty dress and sweater on with a perfect Easter hat!
They got some beautiful pictures and then realized a teenager didn't show up. Guess who got to fill in! Yup, me, mommy!
Kaitlyn got a new tiger at Target today since she had to have one like Camaryn. Well, she asked me to ask her what she named it. She had come up with the name "Pickle Pickle Tree" boy howdy and I glad she didn't get to name Archie!
After the shoot, we went to get some last minute Easter Basket things. Then, Kaitlyn's favorite place: McDonald's!! She played for a little over an hour before we left. It's amazing to see what great social skills she has. She played tag, hide 'n' seek and alligator with the other boys and girls! She was so good, not a single unhappy moment!
Then, a quick trip to Michael's before heading back home! She's been hiding and fiding plastic eggs since we've been here! She can't wait to dye them tomorrow!!
What a week! On Sunday, Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey pulled into town with their puppy Diego. Kaitlyn loves Diego. Kaitlyn had a blast playing with Diego, Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey all the way until Tuesday night. On Monday, all us girls went to get pedicures. Kaitlyn refused to allow anyone to touch her feet. She said she liked the pink sparkle polish she had on and only wanted her finger nails done!
On Wednesday, we started the morning with a trip to Galt for the Auction. There, we saw Nana, Auntie Christy and Camaryn. We followed that up with our weekly play date!! Kaitlyn was so excited to see Isiaih and Justice, and then Lexi and Lexi, and then Taveon, followed by Dominick, then Hope, then Camaryn! She had a ton of fun playing. After our playdate, Kaitlyn was very happy to go with Camaryn to Daddy's ball game where he hit a 2 run homer!! She was very proud!
Today was sewing day, followed by a trip to the cemetery and then a little bit of shopping! Tomorrow is going to be a fun day with some shopping at Denios, dancing and all that jazz. Saturday will be fun and Sunday is a packed Easter!!
On March 30, Kaitlyn and her cousin Camaryn will be competing in a Triple Header Spring Pageant in Santa Nella! If you're interested in going, please let us know so I can get you directions and fun information! Kaitlyn will be debuting a new dance, casual wear and "all by myself" beauty routine.
Oh, and the after Easter website is all designed! Be sure to check it out Monday morning :)
