Dear Diary

We hope everyone has had a wonderful Memorial Day.

This has most definately been a busy week.

The week was fairly uneventful.  Kaitlyn helped me run a lot of errands to get ready for this weekends pageants.  We made a couple of trips to the hospital to wait for Auntie Stephanie to have Beau and Kaitlyn spent more time not wanting to go to school than actually going.

On Saturday, Kaitlyn competed in the CA Sunshine pageant and helped crown for the NES pageant.  Auntie Christy said Kaitlyn did great on stage.  She had a blast and from what I could see (I had to be on the stage with her at this one) she did amazing.  She had a long and full day, earned a princess title, cutest face and 1st runner up for Centerfold for the program book.  Congrats on Miss Camaryn for winning the Divisional Queen title for NES and CA Sunshine!  The girls had fun but were so exhausted after the pageant day.

While we were at the pageant Auntie Stephanie had baby Beau!  After the pageant, Kaitlyn was very excited to go and meet Baby Beau.  We headed straight there.  Kaitlyn was so exhausted, she fell asleep on the way home!

Sunday was the pageant debut for Enchanting Dreams Pageants.  It was a great day and went so well!  I was so proud of Kaitlyn for being so well behaved.  She was a really good little girl.

Kaitlyn quickly fell asleep after the pageant, so while she slept we went to the cemetery and then headed to the hostpital to visit Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and baby Beau.  We got back just after Kaitlyn woke up from her nap.  We then went to Joe's Crab Shack.  The Jazz Jubilee was going on in Old Sac while we were there and Kaitlyn loved hearing the music and haning out in the toy stores while we waited for our table.  We had some very yummy food and then Kaitlyn was so happy to be able to go to bed.

Today was a nice and relaxing day.  Tomorrow marks the first day of the last week Kaitlyn has of preschool.  I promised her that after we'll go and see Horton Hears a who!  She is so excited.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Well, it's been a while since an update, so what better time than now?

Sunday was a nice Mother's Day.  Kaitlyn and Daddy got me a gift certificate to the fabric store and nice cards.  We started the day off by meeting Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig, Hope and Mike at Red Lobster for lunch.  It was mighty good and we were mighty stuff.  Thank you so much to Nana and Papa for the very nice bracelet, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn for the wonderful gifts, Auntie Jamie and Uncle Joel for the beautiful yellow flowers and beautiful card, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and Hope for the beautiful flowers and card Hope made.

After lunch, we headed to the cemetery and took Matthew some flowers.  After the cemetery visit, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house to meet Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul, and Great Grandma Mauda for a nice taco dinner.  Thank you so much to Grandma and Grandpa for the awesome clothes and gift card.  We had some delicious food.

Monday morning brought taking Kaitlyn to school.  After school she had gymnastics followed by a nice and relaxing night at home.  Kaitlyn is absolutely loving gymnastics.  She is learning something new each and every week and thriving in her class.  She would go every day for hours upon hours if we would take her.  It's been a wonderful experience for her.

Tuesday morning, Kaitlyn went to school, like always!  Tuesday night we had dinner at Nana and Papa's house with Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel, Auntie Barbara, Uncle Dean, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and Hope.  The food was yummy and everyone had fun!

On Wednesday, Kaitlyn had a fun day at school.  After school, we headed to Auntie Christy and Uncle Dennis's house where the girls had a blast running through the cool sprinklers on such a hot day.  After that, we headed to playdate for a day of fun!  Playdate was followed up by some yummy dinner!

Thursday morning Kaitlyn had school.  She had a rough day.  Kaitlyn hasn't cried at school before.  Not when she fell and scraped her leg, not when she cut open her ankle, not when she was pushed off the bikes, never.  On Thursday, she started crying.  Her teacher consoled her as she cried for missing her baby brother and wanting to know why she couldn't have him back.  She's been pretty sensitive since then, so we just want to be sure that we are being extra sensitive to her needs.  We want her to know how loved she is and how loved she was by Matthew and how special and important she is.

After school, we took Matthew balloons at the cemetery for his angelversarry.  After leaving the cemetery, we went to Chick Fil A where we met Miss Sarah, Kayla, Auntie Christy, Camaryn, Auntie Stephanie and Hope for a playdate.  After playdate we came home to meet Uncle Scotty.  After that, we went to get daddy and go to his softball game!  Kaitlyn had a blast!  She was exhausted after and barely stayed awake during dinner.

Friday morning, Kaitlyn didn't want to go to school.  So, I didn't make her.  Instead, she went with Auntie Christy, Camaryn and I to the gym and played with Camaryn while we got our workout in.  We followed that up with some shopping and a visit to Miss April's for one last pageant coaching session before our big national pageant.

Saturday we went to the Kiwanis Pancake breakfast with Great Grandma Meauda.  Kaitlyn devoured some sausage and loved her pancakes.  Then, we went shopping for the BBQ!  Saturday night we had a BBQ with Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig, Hope, Auntie Barbara, Uncle Dean, Miss Sarah, Mr. Andrew and Kayla!  The girls swam and played until they were all worn out! Thank you everyone for coming and bringing some good eats!

Today was our pageant!  Kaitlyn did pretty good.  She wasn't a big fan of me being out of her site, but she made me proud!  She was crowned Tiny Miss Natural Beauty USA!  She also won awards for her community service, photogenic entry, talent and a hostess award!  I competed also and brought home Mrs. Natural Beauty USA, awards for my community service, photogenic entry, essay entry, and a hostess award.  I was also very surprised and elated to bring home the high point award as well as the spirit of pageantry award!  It is an award that is voted on by the other contestants and along the lines of congeniality!  And I promise me nor Kaitlyn voted for me!  Thank you so much to Auntie Christy and Camaryn for your help with shopping.  Thank you also to Nana, Papa, Daddy, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Dorin, Nicole, Dominick, Miss Sarah, Kayla and Auntie Jamie for coming out and showing your support!  Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for your good luck wishes!  Next time, we'll plan our timing better!  :P  HUGE congrats to all of the contestants today!  There was some amazing talent and gorgeous girls and guys out there!  Yay to all of the winners, I can't wait to share this year of royalty with you!

We're looking forward to a fun filled week this week!  We have a LOT to do for the pageant on Sunday and are eager for the day to arrive.

Kaitlyn's last day of school is May 30, so she's down to 2 weeks!!  We hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Kaitlyn would like to wish all of the amazing mothers in her life a very Happy Mother's Day!

This has been a busy week! Kaitlyn started gymnastics on Monday and did FANTASTIC! She picked up everything really quick. I was incredibly impressed with her athletic ability and her balance and poise.

On Tuesday we had dinner at Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Craig's house where the girls had a little bit of fun swimming time before it got a little too cold. They were really good little girls!

Wednesday Kaitlyn went to playdate and was so excited! After, she got to go to Auntie Christina's tupperwear party and kept asking where the cake was :P

Thursday was a playdate with Camaryn and Kayla at Chick Fil A. After that we headed to the mall. Camaryn rode with us when we went and picked Daddy up from work to go to his game! The girls had a blast! Hope came and played too! Then we all headed to Red Robin!

Friday was a fun day, Kaitlyn had a tea party for mommies at school and then her friend Dominick came over for swimming and playing! She had so much fun.

Saturday Kaitlyn was very excited to sign up for soccer! She told me I had to wait in the car while she told the people she wanted to play :P She's a funny one! Then, she had playdate, followed by a lot of shopping! Last night we went to the Mooselodge for the Mother-Daughter dinner. Kaitlyn was so jealous of the lady on the stage with the microphone, she asked if she could go on stage too and sing a song. Of course she was allowed! Who could tell her no? She went up there and sang Three Little Monkeys Jumping on the bed! She was too cute!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day!

Happy Weekend everyone!  It has been a lot of fun so far!  It did get off to a bit of a rough start.

Friday night, Grandma got home from work with a not so good looking ankle.  We took Grandma to the emergency room where Kaitlyn had a lot of fun playing, until she hit her limit and was ready for bed!

Saturday morning was an early morning.  Kaitlyn and I had the oppurtunity to represent our titles with the Natural Beauty Pageant System in the Fair Oaks Spring Fest parade.  It was a lot of fun and I know Kaitlyn liked practicing her throwing arm.  She loved throwing candy to all of the kids.

From the parade we headed to Chili's for lunch.  By that point, Kaitlyn was so exhausted.  She ate her oranges and chips and tried to sleep on her chair while playing with Camaryn.  On the way home, she easily fell asleep.  Of course, when we got back home, here was Zoe and Kaitlyn was all done with napping.  Who naps when you can play with a cute little puppy dog?

While Kaitlyn played, Daddy went out shooting with Grandpa.  When he got back, we headed to the car again to go to Folsom lake where Aunt Alicia and Uncle Allen were camping.  Kaitlyn had a blast playing with her beach toys and making Uncle Allen play catch with her.  Last time we went camping, Kaitlyn was terrified of the fire.  Not this time.  This time she thought it was the neatest thing in the entire world.  She couldn't make enough roasted marshmallows, but of course she had to pawn them off on everyone else since she didn't like them :P

Today our plans are still a little up in the air.  Enjoy the pictures and look for an update very soon!

Can you believe we're already ending yet another month!  Before you know it we'll be welcoming in 2009!!

This week has been busy, but fun.  On Monday we went and checked out the site for our first pageant (enchantingdreamspageants.com) and picked up the trophies and sashes, which are BEAUTIFUL!  From there, we headed to the mall with cousin Camaryn and Auntie Christy to see Kaitlyn up at Picture People.  The girls had fun running through the play area and sharing the biggest popcorn ever.

Monday night was nice and easy.  Tuesday morning started bright and early with Kaitlyn going to school.  After school we met Aunt Christy, Camaryn, Aunt Stephanie, Hope, Miss Sarah and Kayla at the zoo for some fun in the sun.  The girls had an absolute blast.  Tuesday night was spent in the backyard searching for lizards and frogs.

Today Kaitlyn had school before we headed to the mall to yet again see her pictures at Picture People and this time get pictures of it!  Kaitlyn picked out a new dress-up dress, she wants a pretend wedding.  After the mall we went to play date where Kaitlyn ran and ran so much that she quickly fell asleep in the car!

The rest of this week is going to be fun.  We have a play date with her cousins tomorrow afternoon, Daddy's ball game tomorrow night, and Friday is a no school day (YAY!).  Friday we are taking care of Daddy's recycling, heading to the Picture Place, and meeting with Miss April.  It should be a nice and busy day.

Saturday is the Spring Fest in Fair Oaks where Kaitlyn gets to ride in the parade as Tiny Miss California!

Be sure to check out the new pictures.  I've added pictures from the Triple Header pageant last month and from all of the festivities of the week!

What a busy week.

Most of the week was filled with taking Kaitlyn to school and trying to get things ready for the walk.  On Wednesday I had a bit of a cold, it got worse so on Thursday, I didn't take Kaitlyn to school.  Instead we rested and decorated teh stroller for the March for Babies walk.

On Friday Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey came all the way from Monterey to March for Babies..  Friday was also the day that Matthew's marker was placed at the cemetery.  After we picked Daddy up from work, we went and saw it.  It looks beautiful.  After the cemetery we came to Grandma and Grandpa's where Kaitlyn was eager to see Auntie Sammie and then Uncle Davey with Diego.

Today started bright and early.  Kaitlyn did amazing in the stroller for over 6 miles on the walk!  I was so proud of her!  It was a really touching walk.

We would like to thank everyone who supported us today.  Thank you to those who supported us in the walk, those who donated, and those who made it to the walk today.  It means a lot to us, more than you'll know!

We did get some fun news!  Turns out, Kaitlyn's wall at Picture People was expanded!  Many more pictures were added and we can't wait to go and see the display and get Kaitlyn's picture with it!

What a BUSY week!!

Monday was the golf tournament and Tuesday meant we were in full gear working on Nana's surprise 50th party!  We spent many hours at Aunt Christy's house working on getting everything just perfect for the party that happened yesterday!

On Thursday, we went to the mall and had the girls' pictures made.  While we were there, we were able to see Kaitlyn on their wall!  Check out the picture in the picture section!  She was so proud and excited.  If you want to see it, check out the Picture People at Sunrise Mall.

Yesterday was Nana's surprise party!  Kaitlyn and Camaryn were both amazing little troopers all week being so good so we could get so much done!  They were so excited to yell surprise when she walked outside!

There are quite a few new pictures to enjoy and comment on!  We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

We're home!!

Ok, Universal Studios was AMAZING!!!!  It was easily as good as Disneyland and I didn't expect it to be.

We started out by getting there, walking in and searching for Sponge Bob and Dora.  We didn't get far before we saw that sneaky fox, Swiper!  I didn't recognize him, but Daddy did.  When Kaitlyn saw him, she jumped out of the stroller and ran to him.  She took a picture and went on and on about what a nice Swiper he was, he didn't swipe any stuff!

As we continued walking, Kaitlyn saw the nice big head of Dora the Explorer!  She ran over there so excited.  Dora smiled and kissed her on the head.  After Kaitlyn took her picture, she ran to me so excited and proud.  She wanted to be sure we saw it.  Next, we headed across the way to see Spongebob.  Spongebob was awesome.  Kaitlyn hugged him, he kissed her, she kissed him, they shook hands, and the entire time she kept a huge smile on her face elated to see him.

From there, Kaitlyn's eagle eye saw that Dora's cousin Diego had joined Dora.  This time, Kaitlyn was wearing her new purple Dora backpack with map!  She ran to Dora and Diego and they gave her a big hug.  Dora said how much she liked her backpack.  Kaitlyn was talking with them when they decided that they wanted to go on a walk to the shade.  So, they each grabbed her by the hand and took her on a walk to the waterfall for pictures.  She was so proud all day and told everyone that would listen!

We spent the rest of the day meeting Curious George, Scooby and Shaggy, riding rides, going on the studio tour and eating!  It was such a relaxed day!

Today we drove home and now, Miss Kailtyn is absolutely exhausted and wondering when we can go back :P

Happy Saturday morning!!

Yesterday was quite the day.  Kaitlyn had slept from 5:30 PM on Thursday until about 7:00 AM on Friday.  She was one tired princess!

We started out the morning by taking the shuttle to Disneyland.  Before going in, we had a quick breakfast at McDonalds.  Kaitlyn was so excited to go to Disneyland.  I bet she would gladly live there if she could.

When we got to Disneyland, the first thing we did was the treehouse.  Kaitlyn LOVED it.  She didn't want us to hold her hand, she didn't really want us to go with her, but that was just tough cookies :P  She did great going up and down all the stairs by herself.  From there, we headed to Pirates of the Carribean.  Kaitlyn liked it towards the end but hated it in the beginning.  She tried to jump out of the boat.  When it was all done, we asked if she liked it and she responded "YES!  It was really really really really really really fun!"  When we asked if she wanted to do it again she said "NO!"

From there, we headed through the park towards Winnie the Pooh.  Again, she liked it at first, but when it entered Pooh's dream, she didn't like it as much anymore.  When we asked if she liked it she said "Yes!  It was really really really fun!" and when we asked if she'd like to go again, it was a strong NO!

We then saw Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger.  Kaitlyn had them all sign her book and was so pleased to see them all.  After that we met up with Savannah, Sawyer and their awesome mommy and Daddy Penny and Mike!

Around then, it was time for Daddy, Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian to go on the Indiana Jones ride.  While they did that Savannah and Sawyer headed to Winnie the Pooh and Kaitlyn and I followed the group so Kaitlyn could shop.  She wanted a sword to fight the pirates away :P

We spent the day having fun, going on rides, meeting friends and enjoying the magic and wonder that Disney has to offer.  Kaitlyn rode the tea cups, the carousel, the rockets, the Mickey Mouse roller coaster, saw the Princess show, met Minnie Mouse, Jasmine, Mulan, Ariel and Belle.  She watched the parade and loved it.  She played in Goofy's play land with Savannah and Sawyer and giggled and played with them like the oldest, best of friends.  And thanks to the awesome Mike, we all got to ride Nemo!!  It was amazing!

She got tired out.  Her allergies made it so she had to take her medicine, there was no way around it.  Even with the medicine, she was still showing her obvious signs of allergies.  And the medicine made her drowsy, but she didn't want to go to sleep.  At one point, she fell asleep on the potty :(  Poor baby!

By the time the 9:30 fireworks came around, she was out like a light.  We got her a little awake during it so she could watch Tinkerbell fly.  She stayed awake but said she didn't want to go on anymore rides.  So, she didn't get to ride all she originally thought she wanted to, but she had an absolute blast.  She picked out her toys for the day in the gift shop and picked out something for Camaryn and Hope.

She was asleep for good when we got to the shuttle at about 11:20.   She's still sleeping now at about 20 to 8.  Soon, she'll get up and we'll head to Universal Studios.  She is SO excited to see Dora and Sponge Bob.  I'll probably get those pictures up when we get home tomorrow night :)

We've made it to Disneyland!!!  Woo-Hoo!

If I would have known how easy it was to drive down with Kaitlyn and if gas wasn't what it was, I would consider coming every weekend!  We left at around 10, the girls (Grandma, Auntie Christina, Auntie Jamie, Kaitlyn and I) all in the van and the boys, (Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle Scotty and Uncle Brian) in the jeep.  Kaitlyn didn't complain at all until we were about 5 minutes from the hotel and she had to pee.  We all stopped around noon for lunch and made it to the hotel by about 5:30.  Not too shabby.

We got to the hotel and came to our room and it is awesome!  It's a "kid's suite" so when you first walk in, it's the king size bed, which is where Grandma and Grandpa sleep, then you go through the door and there's the bathroom, bunk beds, second TV, sofa bed and kids table.  Kaitlyn fell in love with the top bed.  She promised to be careful if we let her sleep there :)

Once we were all settled, it was time to meet Uncle Scotty's friends for dinner.  We had some yummy pizza and then went to Downtown Disney.  Kaitlyn was SOOO excited.  She had her face painted, made a build-a-bear, played in the Lego shop and got nice and tired.

This morning, we got a nice and early start.  We ate breakfast at Coco's with Grandma and Grandpa and then headed to California Adventures.  CA Adventures was so much fun.  We started out by entering the park and Kaitlyn running to pluto!!  She was so excited to see him and gave him a big ol' hug.  From there, we took a turn and headed to the "backlot" section.  Kaitlyn saw Snow White and got to say hi to her.  From there, daddy wanted to go on Tower of Terror.  Kaitlyn really wanted to go on the ride.  She went up with Daddy and Grandpa and when it was her turn, she decided that she didn't want to go on the ride anymore.

After that we headed to get some yummy food, and check out the rest of the park.

Kaitlyn loved the Muppets in 3-D, hated A Bugs Life 4-D, loved the Bugs Life section and rides, enjoyed the sun Ferris wheel (even though me and daddy were so scared!), loved buying stuff and ate a ton of yummy food!!

Kaitlyn is having a blast.  On the shuttle to the hotel she conked out and has been asleep since.  Tomorrow morning we do Disneyland bright and early.  I'm uploading some pictures now from my camera.  There will be plenty more from cameras in time to come!

Tomorrow's the big day!  We leave for the Happiest Place in the world bright and early.  To say Kaitlyn is excited would be the understatement of the year.  Each and every hour she asks "Can we go nowwwww?"  She knows we leave on Wednesday and she knows her days of the week and what order they go in, yet she still insists that we must go now!

Our plan is to leave by 9 tomorrow.  Thursday we'll do California Adventures and probably Downtown Disney in the evening hours.  Friday is the big day, it's our Disneyland day!  We're even going to get to see Penny, Mike and their kids, Savannah and Sawyer.  Kaitlyn couldn't be more excited.  Friday should be nice and tiring!  Saturday we go to Universal Studios.  Sunday afternoon, we'll come home.

I plan on taking the laptop, so hopefully I can update pictures every night.  I just worry that I don't have enough memory on the cards to capture 3 full days, I can only take 700 pictures after all :P

Today will be super busy to help the time pass for Kaitlyn.  This morning is school while I take care of all last minute items.  Then, we'll meet up with Kaitlyn's friend Kayla.  After that, we'll come back here and give Archie a bath.  Then, we'll pick Daddy up from work and go to Nana and Papa's house for dinner.  Then, Kaitlyn will go to sleep while I finish any last minute packing and we'll wake up tomorrow and get ready for a good time.
