Yesterday, we started out by cleaning and then headed to Fairy Tale town to hear Sleeping Beauty read the story of sleeping beauty. Kaitlyn was a pretty good girl and sat quietly through the whole story. After, she had her picture taken with Sleeping Beauty! When we got out of the story, Little Miss Camaryn was here. The little dare devil duo had no problem running everywhere and having a blast!
When we got back to grandma's house after the story and play time, Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle Scotty, Uncle Paul and Uncle Brian were all back from their camping trip! Kaitlyn couldn't be happier and started playing hard and fast!
Kaitlyn spent most of yesterday playing outside. She sang Great Grandma Mauda Happy Birthday and then took a bath before she went camping in her room just like daddy.
This morning, Kaitlyn got up nice and early to get ready for school. A little while before I needed to pick her up, I went and picked up Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn was so surprised when Camaryn and I walked in her classroom. She quickly started introducing Camaryn to all of her friends. Camaryn helped Kaitlyn get everything out of her cubby and then they held hands to the car.
From school, we headed to the mall. The girls were SOOO excited to see the Easter Bunny. They both ran to him as though they were long lost bestest friends! After the Easter Bunny, they played in the play area and had so much fun. We followed that up with some yummy Reeces Peanut Butter cup sundaes! Then, Macy's and of course, what trip would be complete without a trip to the toy store!!!
It was a dun day and Kaitlyn was exhausted by the time we were done! We hope everyone has had a wonderful Monday!!
First, Kaitlyn would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Great Grandma Mauda!!! We hope it's a great one!
Today was such a fun day! It started with a play date in the morning with Kassandra and Alexus, Andrea and Daniel, Cynthia and Aiden, Dorin, Nicole and Dominick. To say Kaitlyn had an absolute blast would be an understatement! I had to practically drag her from the playground 2 hours after we got there! It was such a beautiful day.
After, it was outlet shopping with Grandma, Auntie Beth, Auntie Christina and Auntie Jamie. Some serious shopping was done and I can easily say Kaitlyn has an extensive and awesome spring/summer wardrobe!
Then, dinner time at Applebees!! Yummy!
Tomorrow promises to be a fun and exciting day too! We're headed to Fairy Tale town to see Sleeping Beauty!
We hope everyone is having a wonderful and joyful weekend!
Kaitlyn did great. She was such a trooper today. We started with Mervyn's. Turns out in the last 2 weeks, she's grown another 1/4 inch and is now 38 1/2 inches tall!! She's also gained 2 pounds (woo-hoo) and is 33 pounds! She is just at the top of what her height can be for 3T, so we'll hear back soon!
Next, we went to audition for the commercial. They saw a total of 5 girls for the principal role. All blonde hair and 4 of them with blue eyes. Kaitlyn was the youngest of all girls and I've been told the best listener. She followed direction like a pro, loudly answered all of their questions.
After that it was time to head to Ms April's. We got in Vacaville (seriously like a mile over the city line) when out of no where my car decided it was done running. That was at 2:45. It's now 6:20 and we JUST got home! Thanks to Grandma and Kragens we finally got the poor little engine that could home.
Kaitlyn's napping now, but soon we'll be starting the fun of the weekend!!
Wish Kaitlyn luck!! She's on her way to San Fran tomorrow for 2 auditions! One is for Mervyn's. It's to see how she's wearing a 3T these days! We love Mervyn's!!
The second is really exciting! It's for a commercial for a Japanese brand of shirts! They really like her pictures, they just want to be sure she can follow direction from someone other than her mommy! I'm not too worried about that, thank goodness for preschool right?
So, cross your fingers and toes and send her some good luck wishes!! :)
What a busy, busy week! Kaitlyn went back to school this week after her 2 week vacation! She has been so happy to go back! On Monday, she went to school and then we came back to Grandma and Grandpa's house where she could play and I could work hard on the new pageant system (enchantingdreamspageants.com) Grandma and I started!
On Tuesday, after school she went to hang out with Grandma and Auntie Christina at their work while Daddy and I went and ordered Matthew's marker.
Yesterday was the busiest day of the week! After school we had lunch with Marilyn, her beautiful daughter Alexis and super fun neice Gianna. Kaitlyn was very happy to have a new friend. From lunch we went straight to the park! In addition to a new pageant system, I also started a new play group. It was so much fun. There were 6 mommies there and quite a few kids. Kaitlyn played hard for 2 1/2 hours and I still had to drag her away. Straight from the park, we went to pick Daddy up from work and head to Nana and Papa's, softball season is under way!!
We headed to Daddy's softball game with Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy and Camaryn! The girls met up with Uncle Dennis and had a lot of fun playing!! A little while later Hope and Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and Hope's Pop was there too! The girls played and played.
Kaitlyn played so hard that she fell asleep at Ruby Tuesdays before her food arrived and didn't wake up until this morning.
Today, Kaitlyn stayed home from school to help me babysit Archie. He has an owie on his ear, so we are going to help him feel all better!
And also, a huge Congrats to our little miss Kaitlyn. She has been asked to audition for a commercial this afternoon! She also just became the spokesmodel for the America's Little Miss Pageant System! She also won the myspace photo contest 0-4 Novice Supreme! She also won another photocontest where the main prize is a custom made outfit! Kaitlyn chose Cinderella and we can't wait to see it! Yay Kaitlyn!
First we want to wish Auntie Sammie a very Happy Birthday!
What a day, what a day!!
We started today at the nice and early hour of 5 AM. That's when we jumped in the car and headed to Monterey to surprise Auntie Sammie for her birthday! Kaitlyn was so exited to see Auntie Sammie, Uncle Davey and their new puppy Diego.
We got there around 9 equipped with flowers, a balloon, donuts and orange juice. I think Auntie Sammie was surprised!
We spent the day going to the Beach, the wharf, Auntie Sammie's resturaunt, touring the new Safeway, the dog park and the play ground. Needless to say, it was a long and awesome day. We all had so much fun and I have nearly 500 pictures to work on uploading :)
Goodness Gracious I can't wait for spring to start!
Kaitlyn's doing great. She's growing so fast and so amazingly. Kaitlyn is such an outgoing, smart, energetic, spectacular little girl. We are just so proud and honored to have her as a part of our family.
Kaitlyn loves to entertain us. Her favorite thing to do right now is get a stool and put it in the living room. When people are over, she sits on it and gives us the instructions "I talk and then you clap ok?" And then she proceeds to introduce everyone really excitedly as though it's a pageant, and we must all clap for each person. She then tells us jokes, sings songs and tells stories. It's so cute. One day soon, I'm going to videotape it and share it.
Kaitlyn has so many favorite things right now. She loves playing on the computer. Her favorite games are Dora's Carnival Game, Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and The Care Bears. She's so good at them!! She follows all of the directions and is so good at matching, learning and following patterns. Kaitlyn also lives for dress-up. She'd stay in a costume around the clock if she could and often does. Her other facination is stamps. She loves stamps. When she isn't putting them on paper, she is stamping her hand saying it's her new tattoo!
She is just so incredible. She's so smart and wise. She's so sunny and cheery and a constant joy to be around. She's a good listener, great at reasoning and has the best memory I've ever seen on a child under 5! She's going to be like Dusty in that respect.
Kaitlyn has one more week off of school!! Keep your fingers crossed for sunny days so she can enjoy the great outdoors :)
Last night, we went to Hong Kong Cafe with Grandma and Grandpa for dinner. The menus are probably the same ones they've had for the past 50 years. It's 1/2 English and 1/2 Chinese, no pictures.
Kaitlyn opens up the menu, points to Broccoli and says "I want Broccoli". Then she pointed to Sweat and Sour Chicken and said "I want sour chicken!" I'm sure it was just a coincidence, but I'm so proud of her nonetheless!
Kaitlyn is growing so fast! Last week, she had her health check up at school and is a whopping 38.25 inches tall without shoes on and 31 pounds! I can't believe how quickly she is growng. Her feet are growing like crazy too! She's up to a 9 1/2 - 10! Just a couple short months ago, she was just getting into a size 8! Let me tell ya, cleaning out her shoes and clothes closet took some time and energy.
We've had a pretty uneventful weekend, which has been nice. Saturday we spent the day going to party stores and then decorating the cemetery. On Saturday night we went to Aunt Beth and Uncle Paul's joint birthday party! (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!) and Kaitlyn was the belle of the ball.
Sunday was a little bit of shopping and then Sunday dinner. Kaitlyn had a blast playing with Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul and Felecia. Zoey was here too to give her plenty of attention. She also did her performance. She likes to sit on a stool and do a stand-up comedy routine and some songs and have everyone clap for her, what a ham!
Kaitlyn is out of school for 2 weeks for President's day, so there should be plenty of fun pictures and stories to enjoy!
The morning started with our big surprises! Daddy surprised Kaitlyn with her own pot of tulips! Her beautiful orchids from last year are still alive and well, so these should stay the same! He also got her some of her favorite! Yummy Sour Candy! Then, Kaitlyn got to open her Valentine's Day presents from Grandma and Grandpa! She already opened her present from Great Grandma Mauda earlier in the week and has been proudly showing everyone her duckie socks.
Next, the morning continued with Kaitlyn going to school. While she was there, I took care of some errands that needed to be taken care of. At 11, I got to go to school with Kaitlyn. She was playing on the playground running from friend to friend. Then, she ran to the sandbox with her shovel to look for buried treasure!
When I got there, we got to decorate cookies for her and her friends whose Mommies couldn't make it. We also brought in the yummy strawberry Rice Crispy treats Kaitlyn helped me make the night before.
From there we headed to the cemetery to take Matthew the balloons we got him to celebrate Valentine's Day. We got him 5, 4 hearts and one frog holding a heart. Tomorrow we will go and take down the Valentine stuff to start a Spring/Easter/St. Patty's day theme.
After the cemetery, we came to grandma's house so I could finish Kaitlyn's dress and get everything all set for the rest of the day.
After Grandma's house we went to Daddy's work! Kaitlyn wanted to see him and Auntie Christina had presents for Kaitlyn!! She also got to open her presents from Mommy and Daddy.
From there, we headed to Arden Mall. Kaitlyn got to give her cousin's their Valentine's Day presents and then get her make over at Libby Lu. Kaitlyn was a really good little girl. She loved making her own lip gloss and body spray. She also loved their computer :P
After that, we got in the car and Kaitlyn was out. She slept the whole way to Grandma's house and then until we got to Arco Arena for Disney princesses! She was a tired little pumpkin I suppose.
Disney Princesses On Ice, was awesome. Our seats were incredible and the show was spectacular! I would definatley go again. Kaitlyn loved it. She said her favorite story was Sleeping Beauty, but she didn't much care for the dragon. She said he was mean and scary!
After, Kaitlyn got Valentine's Day presents from Nana and Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and Hope.
Kaitlyn ended the day one happy, exhausted, excited, spoiled little Princess!
Kaitlyn would like to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day! May your day be filled with love and affection from all the important people in your life!
Kaitlyn would also like to wish Cousin Hope a very happy 4th Birthday!
Kaitlyn is doing pretty good. She went back to school this week after being sick and is thrilled to be there! Yesterday was her parent teacher conference where her teacher said she was their social butterfly! She is friends with everyone and is always playing with someone.
Tonight, to celebrate Valentine's day we are going to Disney Princesses on Ice! Look for some great pictures tomorrow!!
