We're home! We're back from the NES pageant in Visalia. Kaitlyn was being crowned as Lifetime Supreme Grand Ambassador. She was so cute on stage (I'll upload video as soon as te battery is charged :) ) And she was so sweet handing out goody bags to all of the contestants as they came off stage. She had a blast staying in the hotel and spending a ton of time with her cousin Camaryn, "honorary" cousin Kayla and new friends Victoria and Elizabeth and her friend Mackenzie.
Camaryn competed in the pageant. She did great! She went on stage 3 times!! Once for beauty, once for casual wear and once for Talent. Her talent was absolutely adorable! She sang "take me out to the ball game" and was so precious! I have lots of video.
Camaryn walked away with some great stuff. She was Best Personality, Valentine Cover book, Photogenic for her age, and Miss Supreme Photogenic!!
Kayla did great and was crowned Miss Diva in her divisional category and Miss Supreme Model!
Mackenzie also did great! She was crowned Miss Supreme Valentine Queen!
Well, poor Kaitlyn is still sick. We've had to cancel a lo of fun here recently because poor little girl isn't feeling good. Kaitlyn's already missed a week of school because of her sinus infection and we're hoping tomorrow she wakes up feeling much better.
Late Saturday we saw Uncle Calvin and Kaitlyn got to play with Nikki and Adrian at Cousin Camaryn's house! They all had a blast! They watched Sponge bob together, played dress-up and ran around like crazy little ones. Nikki and Adrian are growing so fast and are so great with both little ones. Adrain was asking Kaitlyn why she liked Christmas and having a real "big kid" conversation with her. It was so sweet.
Sunday was the superbowl. We hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's house and relaxed most of the day.
Last night, Kaitlyn had a hard time sleeping. Her coughing kept her up until after 3 in the morning. Needless to say, she didn't go to school this morning and beause of the cough, also missed out on gymnastics :( Daddy didn't get much sleep so he stayed home too. We did some house shopping and hang out a little bit. She's running around now, so hopefully she'll be sleeping soon :)
Can you believe we're already going into February?? I looked at Kaitlyn today and thought, wow, before we know it, she's going to be 4! Where is time going and why is it going so darn fast??
Kaitlyn is still sick. The antibiotics are starting to upset her little tummy. While that is leaving her irritable and sensitive, she's being quite the trooper. She takes her medicine in a little cup whenever she's asked. She throws it back in one shot and then asks for her treat, a sour candy :)Z
Kaitlyn has been out of school all week. As long as she's feeling better, she'll go back on Monday. She is anxious to see her friends, but after a talk with her teacher, it turns out most of them are out sick as well!
Yesterday, Kaitlyn got to rest in the morning and play with Camaryn and her friend Kayla who she swears is her cousin too! Then, she had lunch at Mimi's with Great Grandma Bobbie as the guest of honor. Nana, Papa, Aunt Christy, Camaryn, Aunt Stephanie and Hope were also there. Lunch ran late and was followed by a quick trip to the grocery store. After that, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house where Kaitlyn anxiously awaited the arrival of Uncle Scotty and Aunt Jamie so she could play with him!
Today, Kaitlyn slept most of the morning away. When she woke up, she wanted to go to the mall. We went to Roseville where of course, she fell asleep on the way :) The parking lot is a great place to take a nap she said.
Kaitlyn had really wanted to go to the mall to make her own "build a puppy" at the build a bear store and get her bear a new outfit. After a little shopping in other stores, we found out that store was closed down! She was not happy and said that she needed to go to Arden Mall to go to the Build a bear store. Instead, she settled for picking out Valentine Day presents for Hope and Camaryn. Camaryn met us at the mall and the girls enjoyed their cookies while playing and deciding who the boss was.
This promises to be a busy weekend!! Next weekend Kaitlyn will be going with Camaryn to the NES pageant in Visalia. She will be crowned as Lifetime Grand Hostess and Camaryn will be competing. If you're in the area, I'm sure the girls would love the company.

After a night of terrible coughing and no sleep, we decided that Kaitlyn should see the doctor today.
Kaitlyn saw Dr. Kono's collegue Dr. Takemoto. We've met with her before. Kaitlyn was a really good girl, taking deep breaths when asked, opening her eyes really big and getting weighed.
Kaitlyn is now 31.8 pounds and has a sinus infection. She's on antibiotics and hopefully in a few days will back to normal :) Hopefully they'll start working soon so we an all get some good sleep!
Kaitlyn wants to wish Uncle Davey a very Happy Birthday!
This has been a fun week. Kaitlyn got to play with her cousins, Camaryn and Hope, and her friends Isaiah and Kayla!
She went to McDonald's on Friday after school and was so excited to play with her cousins and Kayla! She had a blast and didn't want to leave after even 2 hours of playing!
On Saturday, we started the day with lunch with Auntie Jamie. From there, we went to the cemetery. Kaitlyn was asleep, so I thought it would be best not to wake her, since she didn't want to go. After the cemetery, we ran a few more errands while she slept. When Kaitlyn woke up, she asked to go to the cemetery. When she found out we had already gone, she was absolutely heart broken. She wouldn't stop crying :( The only way we could keep her happy was to promise her that she could pick any balloons she wanted for Matthew and we would take them on Monday.
From there, we headed to Nana and Papa's house for dinner. Kaitlyn was a very good girl and had a blast playing with her cousin. The funniest part was when Kaitlyn showed Papa the Fox and the Hound Dvd and expressed that she had it at Grandma's house too. Papa replied that it was Lady and the Tramp. Kaitlyn pulled his glasses down over his eyes and told him NO! It's fox and the hound!
When we got home, Kaitlyn started to have a little cough. Through the night, it got so much worse. It was bad enough where we contimplated a trip to the ER to make sure she was ok. With some medicine she was able to get a couple hours of sleep. But, she had coughed hard enough to make the capellaries under her eyes burst. :(
Today, we went to Uncle Davey's mommy's house for his Birthday party! Kaitlyn had a blast. She loves being the belle of the ball. But, she did get sick twice :( Even so, she was still in such good, outgoing spirits. She helped Uncle Davey blow out his candles and showed him how to open his cards and his presents.
Kaitlyn also showed everyone how she knows how to count to ten in spanish as well as English! She's our little smarty pants that's for sure!
She slept the whole way home and is now teaching Daddy how to play computer games with Mickey Mouse! We've decided that she'll stay home from school tomorrow and if she isn't feeling any better, she'll stay home from gymnastics as well.
Kaitlyn would like to wish a HUGE Congrats to Cousin Hope Marie! Hope shot her first modeling job since being back in California. She shot with Baby Couture and we can't wait to see the first ad!
Kaitlyn would also like to wish a HUGE Congrats to Cousin Camaryn Chloe! Camaryn did great at her Sweet Pea Pageant today! She took home lots and lots of tropheys, made her on stage singing debut and won Mini Supreme!
Kaitlyn is doing great. She was having a little while where she didn't like going to school, but she's back to being really excited, so we are thrilled about that.
She's growing so fast! She's a smart little one too. Some of the stuff she says has me speechless. She picks up on things so quickly and with such ease that I sometimes envious. And her memory is amazing.
Kaitlyn has become a total Daddy's girl lately. 110% She is all over him from the minute he comes home until it's time for him to leave!
Today, we went to have Kaitlyn's pictures taken. Since she was so good, we went to Build a Bear so she could make her very own Princess. I wish I would have brought my camera. She was so enthusiastic about every aspect of building her bear. She wanted her stuffed perfectly and spent at least 1/2 hour picking the perfect shoes to match. It was adorable!
We have such a busy week and weekend planned! We hope everyone has a blast!
Can you believe we're already 12 days into the new year! It doesn't feel like that much time has even had the oppurtunity to pass!
Kaitlyn ended up staying home from school every day but Monday because of her cold. She was coughing so bad and not at all happy about it and I'd hate to infect other kids with it or have her be sent home because she was miserable or sick.
On Wednesday, Kaitlyn had a fit modeling in San Francisco with Gymboree. Aunt Stephanie and Cousin Hope were both nice enough to go with us. Kaitlyn and Hope did a lot of talking the whole way there and back. Kaitlyn turned out to be too small for the clothes, but had a blast with her cousin. The day ended at one of Kaitlyn's favorite stores: IKEA! She was happy as can be. Wednesday night, we had dinner at Nana and Papa's with Nana, Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Craig, Hope and Hope's Pop Mike.
On Thursday, Kaitlyn was so excited! Auntie Sammie was here!! Kaitlyn had so much fun playing with her and watching her get her hair done. Thursday night Auntie Sammie, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian and Zoey all came over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Dinner. Kaitlyn was one happy little girl.
Friday morning, Kaitlyn went shopping with Mommy, Auntie Christina, Auntie Sammie and Grandma. She was a good girl for lunch at P.F. Chang's and then did more shopping! Kaitlyn ended the day with pageant lessons and then taking a long nap.
This week Kaitlyn has become a champ at both computer and video games! Her ability to follow directions, hand eye coordination and focus is amazing!

Kaitlyn's first day back to school from winter break was yesterday. She was so excited. She had a great day and talked non stop about how much fun she had with all of her friends. After school, we went by the cemetery. On New Year's Eve Daddy and I put a couple dozen pinwheels on Matthew's site. Due to the storm, some had flown away, some had broke and some had missing tops. Kaitlyn helped me to fix them all, add a couple of new, different ones and clean it all up.
From there, we came back to grandma and grandpa's house. Kaitlyn ate some Dora cerial and played and played and played until it was time for bed.
This morning, Kaitlyn woke up and got dressed for school. She drank her yogurt all while coughing like crazy. Once she finished, she looked at me and said "Too sick for school Mommy" and we decided it might be best to sit this one out. Her school has a 24 hour policy. You must be without symptoms for at least 24 hours before you can go back. So, it looks like she'll be home today and tomorrow. I'm sure she'll be very not happy about that come tomorrow :P
While we wait to find a place that we want to live. Yesterday, the storm hit pretty bad. We've been without power since yesterday and will remain that way until at least tomorrow night.
Today, Kaitlyn got her hair cut. She had a bit of a bald spot recently so to even out her crooked hair, they had to cut quite a bit off. It looks cute though, check out the photo section :) She also got her nails done.
