Well, Kaitlyn had a busy day yesterday! Nana was sick, so around lunch time, Papa brought my princess by for a visit! She got in a little bit of trouble pulling the nurse cord in the bathroom, no harm done though :)
In the evening, Kaitlyn got the great pleasure of going to Daddy's softball game! He had two back to back games which gave Kaitlyn plenty of time to play with her cousins Camaryn and Hope at the playground and watch Daddy hit a homerun! She sure is a good luck charm!
Afterwards, she joined Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Craig and Hope at the Old Spaghetti Factory for lots of yummies. I hear she was so tired and worn out that she was fast asleep before they even got there.
Hopefully, Kaitlyn will be here nice and early for a visit today. She has speech therapy with Miss Pam today and I know I've noticed a huge improvement in her speech this week. She is getting to good at some of her difficult sounds and becoming so much more understandable. I'm sure she doesn't have as much of a choice without me constantly translating for her. After, she will be going with Grandma to her house for lots of fun!
Tomorrow Kaitlyn gets to do the SPCA doggie walk, and do lots of shopping with Grandma. I'm sure Kaitlyn will be able to bat her eyelashes to get whatever it is she wants.
As many of you know, Kaitlyn is walking in the SPCA doggie walk tomorrow to help raise money for the SPCA.
In only a week, Kaitlyn has surpassed her goal of $250!! We are so proud of our little princess and the effect that the money raised will directly have on the adorable and cuddly puppies and doggies that touch our hearts! Since she's so easily passed her goal, I'm going to up the goal to $500 to see if we can really push it today and tomorrow!
Kaitlyn will be walking with Grandma, Auntie Christy and Camaryn tomorrow! If you can, go and pay them a visit! If you'd like to see her pledge site and help her get even higher, please visit:
We would like to give a special thank you to those that have already pledged to Kaitlyn and helped save more lives of the special puppies and kitties the SPCA helps out!
Thank you to:

Camaryn is also walking. You can visit her pledge site at:
Well, Kaitlyn is still doing well. She's at Nana and Papa's now.
Yesterday, Auntie Sammie took Kaitlyn to the zoo. She told me how much fun she had, she loved the flamingos and the new penguins the zoo has! After 4 hours of wondering through the park and being excited about each and every animal they passed, Kaitlyn really wanted to go to Grandma's.
Before they got to Grandma's, Kaitlyn was fast asleep. Kaitlyn slept for 3 hours before she woke up eager to ride her bike and play with all of her toys!
Kaitlyn then got to come and see Mommy and watch Shrek twice! Kaitlyn was such a good girl. She stayed with Mommy until it was time to go home and go night night.
Kaitlyn got to come and see Mommy again today before lunch time. Early this evening she gets to see Daddy play baseball and play with her cousins Camaryn and Hope before she comes back by to see me.
We were supposed to go to Discovery Kingdom on Sunday morning. A little after midnight on Satuday, my water broke. Since I'm only 24 weeks pregnant, that is bad.
We took Kaitlyn to Nana and Papa's and headed to the hospital, which is where I will stay until Matthew is born. His website will be updated on a daily basis with any updates or progress.
Kaitlyn will be staying with Nana and Papa during the week and Grandma and Grnadpa on the weekends. Daddy will be with Kaitlyn as much as possible, but I know it's hard for him to leave Mommy right now too.
I was supposed to walk with Kaitlyn in the Doggie Dash. Since I can't, Grandma has stepped up. It is a 2K walk to benefit dogs in the area, if you'd like to pledge anything, here is her website (special thanks to Auntie Christy for setting that up!):http://www.sspca.org/DoggyDash/ViewSite.html?ID=438
And if you'd like any information on how everything is going, you can e-mail us, call us or visit Matthew's site as well.
After the day we had yesterday, I could really use a long nap lol!
At about 11:30, Kaitlyn excitedly helped Mommy to the car to see Hope! She was so excited!! We drove to Sunrise mall and were immediatly greated by Aunt Stephanie and Cousin Hope. It took Kaitlyn all of 32 seconds to warm up and be happy! I'm sure the awesome presents from Hope went a long way in helping!
Soon, Camaryn and Aunt Christy were there too! The girls were dressed, primped and ready for their close-up! They did amazing! Let me tell ya, I had my doubts and worries about getting a 3 year old, 2 1/2 year old and 21 month old all together for pictures. I know that with just Kaitlyn and Camaryn it can be an obstacle, but I was so happily surprised! The girls did amazing! They acted like life long friends who were seperated by mere days and were such an easy sitting! The photographer got pics done in under 15 minutes!
The pictures turned out soo good! I was so happy and impressed with the girls!
After that, the three girls were happy to go to Chuck E. Cheese! They played for hours and hours. Camaryn was reallly good at getting boys to give her tokens. All she had to do was hold out her hand flat and say "me" and they would just hand them over. Her daddy is going to be in trouble one day! Hope had awesome skills at the fish water game and won ticket after ticket! With her help, all three girls walked away from there with some cool prizes! Kaitlyn can't sit still for more than 35 seconds and ran all over the place.
At one point, we heard Kaitlyn cry. We ran to where she was and this little boy was standing on the "dance" game that Kaitlyn and Hope had been playing with. Hope told Stephanie and I that he had kicked Kaitlyn and Kaitlyn nodded in agreement through her tears. Hope yelled at him not to be mean to her cousin! The little boy yelled back. He was not a nice boy at all.
Hope was so nice, she went and got Kaitlyn, Camaryn and herself cotton candy at the counter and those girls devoured it. Kaitlyn, who was scared of Cotton Candy at Discovery Kingdom realized that if Hope and Camaryn would eat it so easily then it must be good!
After we had accomplished nearly everything at Chuck E. Cheese we headed to Aunt Christy's house. Kaitlyn insisted on riding with Aunt Christy, so I had the pleasure of being Camaryn's driver! She was such a good little girl and fell asleep pretty quickly!
Kaitlyn and Hope had a quiet few moments on the couch watching Sponge Bob before Camaryn was woken up from her nap! The girls threw on shoes and headed outside to where the playground and puppies were! They were so cute. Kaitlyn insisted on pushing Hope and Camaryn on the swings and I don't think they actually fought over anything than a swing and that was over pretty quickly!
We realized it was after 7 and we were all getting pretty hungry. We decided to head out to Lucille's for some yummy dinner! Again, the girls were great! Kaitlyn, Camaryn and Hope all sat together. Everything was going great until Kaitlyn's booster chair tipped over she flew to the ground with it.
After a little while, everything was fine again. We ended up leaving at nearly 10:30 and spent the next half hour in the parking lot saying good byes! Kaitlyn fell asleep before everyone had left, she had a super busy day without any nap at all!
I know Kaitlyn had a blast and I had a lot of fun too! Kaitlyn already misses her cousin and this morning asked "Where Hope go?" with her shoulders shrugged!
Kaitlyn fell in love last night and his name was Mason! Uncle Joel played in Daddy's softball game and Aunt Jamie was there with Mason! She played and played and I'm sure if we'd had let her, she would have wrapped him up and taken him home!
Here is some video of Kaitlyn and Mason and Kaitlyn talking to me before we went home :)
Sunday, we headed over to Nana and Papa's to see Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean. Kaitlyn played with Archie and Sasha for a few hours before we headed out to do some shopping!
We went to a store in Roseville that Daddy really wanted to go to. Kaitlyn was such a good girl. She played and pointed out all the camping stuff she wanted! After the store, we got in the car and headed to McDonald's for yummy ice cream, french fries and lemonaide.
Soon after, Daddy, Kaitlyn, Archie and I headed to Grandma and Grandpas. Kaitlyn was so excited to go over there and get in her pool! That was the first thing she did! Kaitlyn played and played with the water, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Reid and the puppies!
We ended up eating a yummy dinner and staying very late at Grandma and Grandpas. At about 8, Kaitlyn said she was tired and wanted to night night in Kaitlyn's room. So, I laid her down and off to dreamland she went.
On Monday morning, we woke up and discovered that Daddy's fishies didn't make it :( It was very sad to see that his 2 fishies that were 5+ years old had passed away.
We took showers and got ready to head to the Sacramento County Fair. There, we met Camaryn, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Nana and Papa. Daddy was so good at winning games. He won Kaitlyn a huge bear (that she's decided to give to Matthew), a huge blue bear, a little bear and a gold fish. Daddy won Camaryn a huge Care Bear and a baby shrek! These girls didn't go without anything!
The girls were able to ride a ton of rides, enjoy the ponies and drink yummy icees until I thought their tummies would burst! They saw a lot of animals and had fun playing in the "science center"! I think we have two brainiacs on our hands since they had no desire to leave!
After about 4-5 hours at the fair, we were not only super hot but also pretty hungry so we all headed to Coco's for some yummy food. I was so proud of my princesses! They were perfect little girls and attracted the attention of just about everyone in the resturaunt. Kaitlyn sat quietly in her seat and ate her yummies while Camaryn made sure that everyone was told Hello.
It has been a great weekend! Here are some pictures and I know Aunt Barbara has many, many more!
Friday night we went to Nana and Papa's to see Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean who were visiting with their pup Sasha. Kaitlyn got to see even more people since Nana and Papa were there and Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn were there, but then Aunt Jamie and Uncle Joel came over too and they had a super surprise! Aunt Jamie and Uncle Joel have a new puppy! Mason is easily the cutest puppy I have ever seen (with the exception of Archie of course!) He is a doll. Kaitlyn and Camaryn were in love.
After a night of playing and eating our little princess was ready to come home. We loaded her in the car and she asked for Kaitlyn's bed. We happily obliged when we got home.
Saturday morning, I left Kaitlyn alone with her yogurt while I went potty. She did it again! She gathered a chair, pulled it to the fish tank and fed the fishies, ALL of the food. I came out just in time to see the final flakes fall to the bottom of the tank. When Kaitlyn saw me, she knew she was bad and she ran away.
I quickly got the fish out (with Daddy's help) and spent the next hour dumping the tank, cleaning everything and re-filling all 35 gallons while explaining to Kaitlyn that she doesn't feed the fish. Shortly after that, Daddy got out of bed and he took Kaitlyn with him to Nana and Papa's house. I met them after my shower (and 45 games of solitarre, I was determined to win just one before I got in the shower!) and daddy was very sick. :( Daddy woke up with a broken blood vessel in his eye and a terrible headache. After much debate he decided to sleep with Kaitlyn and I headed to Aunt Sue and Uncle Jim's house for fun.
Kaitlyn napped on the way to their house but when we got there she saw what she wanted, the swimming pool and "woof woofs" Kaitlyn insisted on her suit right then and the doggies to go with her. For the next 3 hours Kaitlyn swam, played with the doggies and stopped every few minutes for a chip. She got to play with her cousin Corbin who she was enamored with before we left to go home. As we were leaving I asked Kaitlyn if she wanted to go night night and all she could say was "yeah"
Last night, we went back to Nana and Papa's to see some more of Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean. Kaitlyn was tuckered out and didn't want to wake up. Since I treasure those few hours of sleep at night, I woke her up after about an hour and she was a furious little girl. While I was able to get her to eat, she wanted nothing to do with anything other than sleep. This morning, she was thrilled to see what Auntie Christy had got her! A big ol' Baby Shrek!! And he's wearing blue, which is Kaitlyn's favorite color!!
Today, we are going to get ready and see Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean some more before heading over to Grandma and Grandpa's to see everyone for a big BBQ. Monday is still unplanned and might just be a rest day :) I'm sure I'll have quite a few pics to put up by Tuesday!
Have a wonderful and safe weekend everyone! Be sure to thank any service men or women that you see for the wonderful service that they provide for our country!
We are so proud of Kaitlyn! She had speech therapy today and her therapist said she's doing great! She hasn't mastered the final constanant yet, but that doesn't usually happen until the age of 3-4 anyways, so we have nothing to worry about. They just think that it will help her be more intelligable.
The BEST part about today's therapy was that Kaitlyn went the entire time without a diaper and without an accident. She had a lemonaide on the way and still managed to stay dry through the hour long session and the drive home. She wasn't happy with me for taking away her diaper, but she proved to me that she can do it!
Kaitlyn would like to send her love and condolensences to her family in Illinois today. Kaitlyn's Great-Great-Grandma Steward passed away. She lived a long, healthy life and will be greatly missed.
Kaitlyn would like to wish her Grandma good luck today at her surgery! She hopes she gets well soon and the pain is over quickly!!
Kaitlyn would also like to welcome home Camaryn! Her plane will be home this afternoon! Kaitlyn is so excited about seeing Camaryn and of course Auntie CHristy and Uncle Dennis. She thought they were going to stay at Mickey Mouse's house forever and ever!! Hopefully we'll get to go and see them tonight!
Today, Mommy has to go to work at the office and Kaitlyn will be joining her. After that we'll run a quick errand before having our ultra sound to see baby Matthew and how he's growing. Somehow, I completely forgot to give Kaitlyn's speech update last week, so I'll give it now :)
Kaitlyn is doing fantastic! She's made a lot of progress! One of the hardest parts for Kaitlyn has been adding the sounds to ends of words! She's began to master that with words with different sounds like "bus, duck, work, ouch, cheese" and so on! Her therapist was so impressed with how much she had accomplished in a week! She thinks in the next 2-3 months she'll surpass what is expected of her age! Way to go princess!
What a busy week! On Thursday, we went and picked up my "new to me" minivan. I am so excited. We have so much more room now and Kaitlyn loves being able to get into her own chair. It is fully loaded with everything we could ever want and I couldn't be happier :)
On Friday, Kaitlyn learned that Aunt Jamie and Uncle Joel were coming over. She was so excited. She ran around and every 5 minutes asked if they were there yet. When they got there, she was shy for a couple of minutes before getting really excited. She was thrilled to find out that we were having pizza for dinner.
By 8, before the pizza arrived, Kaitlyn had decided it was time for bed. She was insistent that she have her jammies put on and fell asleep before Daddy got back with pizza.
On Saturday morning, we woke up and showered. Kaitlyn was a little fussy and a little warm but I attributed it to not sleeping too well Friday night. We got to Grandma's and shortly headed on the road. Kaitlyn had fun playing with Mckenzie and drinking juice.
When we got to the civic center to see Elmo, Kaitlyn was still pretty excited. When we got to our super amazing floor seats, she was excited for 2 minutes. Then, she was ready for night night. Kaitlyn eagerly and excitedly watched the first 30 minutes of the show before falling asleep. Once she was asleep, she was out for good! She did wake up as we were leaving to blow Elmo and Big Bird kisses and ask if they went night night.
This morning, she still has a little fever, but is in a good mood :)
Thank you so much to Grandma for the awesome tickets and to Grandma, Auntie Christina and Mackenzie for going with us and making it so much more fun!
Kaitlyn is growing and growing so much. Last night, she got to see Uncle Ray again. She also got to play and play with Camaryn. Kaitlyn, like mommy and daddy, were very sad to see Uncle Ray go bye bye again! We look forward to him visiting again very, very soon!
Today, Kaitlyn realized that Camaryn actually did go bye bye. She has been saying "Camaryn bye bye, Mickey Mouse House?" Over and over. She usually follows it with 'Christy tooooo" This might be a long week. We hope Uncle Dennis, Auntie Christy and Camaryn have a very safe trip and a ton of fun in Disneyland!
Kaitlyn wanted to draw today while Mommy was working. She sat across from me at my desk with a very intent look on her face while she colored. Soon, she proudly smiled and said "Look, draw Mommy" and showed me her picture. It was the first time she's ever drawn a face, much less without any help or guidance. We're so proud of our little super star, she's really going to succeed in pre-school.
Kaitlyn was such a good girl yesterday! The morning started when her and daddy surprised me with a couple dozen roses and candy! What could a pregnant girl love more than some chocolate and Mike and Ikes?
After showering and dressing, Kaitlyn and I went to watch Little Miss Camaryn compete in a National Pageant. She won her category and now is the Tiny Miss Natural Beauty USA! Congrats Camaryn! I have some pictures I'll upload later in the day!
Kaitlyn sat through the whole pageant and then we said our good-byes and headed home to get Daddy! Kaitlyn needed a change of clothes and to grab her new water toys! She eagerly got into the car headed to Grandma and Grandpa's!
Kaitlyn put her swim suit on and played in the water for hours and hours. She had no desire to play inside and only wanted to get wet! I don't blame her, it sure was hot out. When Kaitlyn finally had enough, she came to me and said "Night Night Peeease!!!" I wrapped her in a towel and laid her on her bed at Grandma and Grandpa's and she went out like a light and stayed that way until we went home!
Today, Kaitlyn has been showing how much improvement she's making with her expressive speech. I'm sure Miss Pam will be really happy to see that Kaitlyn has mastered the "S" and "X" and "CH" at the end of words now! She kept telling me "ouCH" and then saying 'Pam, Pam' as though she wanted her to hear too!
Tonight, Kaitlyn is hoping to see cousin Camaryn before they head off for a whole week to Disneyland! Kaitlyn is also looking forward to feeding the roosters this week as well as seeing Elmo live this Saturday! It'll be a fun filled week with a happy ending!!
