Yesterday, Daddy, Grandma and Auntie Beth all worked the Annual CPOF Golf Tournament. They had a lot of fun at the gorgeous golf course in Granite Bay. Kaitlyn and I joined them for dinner. It was delicious! The best food I've had in a long time, everything was perfect! So good, Dusty had to get me seconds on prime rib (which I normally hate) and salmon!
After dinner, Kaitlyn walked around the golf course with daddy and found the boys! The boys are Char's grandson's and Kaitlyn was in love! Connor is 4 and Caden in 3 and Kaitlyn couldn't get enough! She followed them around the rest of the night and was so upset when they left. She ran up to Caden and said "More boys! Me Kaitlyn!" and pointed to herself!
This morning started bright and early. Kaitlyn went to San Francisco for a shoot for Baby Couture Magazine. Her and two other girls will share a 12 page spread in the magazine this summer! Kaitlyn looked gorgeous and I cannot wait to see the pictures!
On the way, we ran into Target where Kaitlyn picked out a blue Care Bear and of course a Mermaid Ball! She had a lot of fun in the toys!
On the way home, we hit Petsmart and picked up fish food. Kaitlyn had so much fun looking at the fishies, hamsters and birds! She decided she wants two of everything and a blue snake! She's our funny girl!
Kaitlyn wants to send get well wishes to Cousin Camaryn! She has pink eye in both eyes. Kaitlyn can't wait for her to get better so they can play and play!
Yesterday was a fun day! We went to Grandma and Grandpa's where Grandma had a pleasant surprise for Kaitlyn. She had bought sidewalk paint and Kaitlyn was thrilled to go outside and paint the ground blue. She wanted to paint all of the bugs that went by and of course Archie and Johnny. Soon, she thought it was fun to jump into the paint and make foot prints!
We did some shopping and Kaitlyn got to buy some new books that she had a blast reading and look at all of the fun stuff. Kaitlyn has an eye for diamonds and picked out several things for "daddy to buy Kaitlyn."
We also had the chance to mail off a package to Kaitlyn's Great Grandma Bobbie in Arkansas. It's been a ot of work trying to get this package out there, but hopefully it'll get there this time without a problem. Kaitlyn kept telling the pretty balloon box "bye bye baoon box, wuv you" It was really cute! With any luck, it'll be there on Wednesday!
For dinner, Kaitlyn grubbed on Mashed potatoes like a wild woman! She of course then demanded ice cream. Grandma has ice cream candy in her freezer. Mommy and Grandma told Kaitlyn she could have one. Kaitlyn picked out the one, then gave Grandma a kiss and snuck another from the package with her other hand! She knows how to get her way I suppose!
After dinner, Kaitlyn was exhausted and it took no time for her to fall asleep. She slept all the way home and jumped on Mommy and Daddy at 6:30! She told Daddy he had to get in the shower to go to work. He wasn't too impressed with her demanding tactics!
Kaitlyn is getting to be such a big girl! I really want to let Kaitlyn's bangs grow out, but she's finally booked a shoot and in a month or two, the busy season will be upon us and it'll probably be easiest and best if we keep bangs for now. Besides, it makes it easier to see her gorgeous blue eyes.
So, today we went to get a hair cut. We were on a strict time budget of an hour and a half and we also wanted to go to the mall, so for this hair cut Great Clips would have to suffice. Kaitlyn was so good and still while they cut her bangs. Since the back of her hair is growing so fast and the sides can't keep up, we had about an each cut off the back and the sides tapered for a really soft and natural look. She was a good girl and thrilled with her "blue treat" afterwards.
Next, we headed to the mall. We found Daddy some new pants and Kaitlyn picked out some new sunglasses at Children's Place. From there, we headed to Claire's. I let Kaitlyn pick out some new summer accesories and let me tell ya, that girl is a diva. She wanted everything matching, bracelets, hair pieces and necklaces. And, she wanted everything bright and bold. I can't wait for her to start wearing it all!
We got some "eats" and then headed home. Kaitlyn was fast asleep as we pulled in. I'm relieved she's taking a nap because tonight we are going to meet Daddy for a formal dinner at the Granite Bay Golf Club. Daddy, Grandma and Auntie Beth are all working the CCPOA golf tournament today and the evening closes with a yummy dinner. This works out great because we bought Kaitlyn a couple of Easter dresses this year as did Grandma and Nana, so Kaitlyn will have an oppurtunity to wear a gorgeous blue dress tonight.
Kaitlyn seems to be doing 100% better. She'll eat and drink anything again and has a huge appetite. The fever is gone and I can't see a single sore in her mouth! Let's hope that's the last of the sickies for a long while!
Kaitlyn seems to be feeling a lot better. Her fever is gone and her throat isn't bothering her as much. She is usually great in the morning and as the day progresses she is in more pain.
Yesterday morning started with a shower for little miss. She got dressed and decided that she wanted to watch the "Egg Video" over and over again. The egg video is the video on this site that shows Kaitlyn dying eggs. She loves it!
Later in the morning, Auntie Christina and Grandma picked us up to head to Camping World and Walmart. Kaitlyn got to enjoy a yummy McFlurry and some french fries. Her appetite isn't yet what it was, but it's getting there. We just have to give her something super cold to numb her throat.
Kaitlyn was tickled pink when we decided to get her a blue fish tank for her room. She was absolutely excited and walked through the store saying "Kaitlyn's fishies" Kaitlyn also got a new tee-ball set, which she excitedly showed Daddy and Grandpa later in the day.
Kaitlyn is still sleeping, but we are hoping she's still feeling good and anxious to play some more today! Have a happy Sunday everyone!
Well, today is, as you already know, Friday the 13th! I wish everyone a ton of good luck and for all the black cats to stay out of your path!
Kaitlyn woke up at 3 AM. She didn't want to be in her bed anymore and got into bed with mommy and daddy. That was fine by us! At about 3:30, she wanted gaterade. At 3:45 she wanted milk. At 4 she wanted water. At 4:15 she wanted to watch Sponge Bob in her room. At 4:30 she wanted her pooh bear from downstairs. At 4:45 she wanted more milk. At 5:00 she said her throat was bad owie. You could hear her try to swallow and it sounded incredibly painful. I got her to take some candy (chewable tylenol) and she was happy. At 5:30 she wanted some gaterade and by 5:45 she was back to sleep. My alarm went off at 6!
Kaitlyn is in a much better mood today. Awake and alert. She's eager to start eating, but leary because everything she tries hurts. This morning for breakfast we went and got her a milkshake and she was in heaven. Her fever has come down drastically, which makes us all happy. She is contagious for as long as she has the sores. They look so much worse today and I am seriously hoping that they start to heal soon. To be on the safe side we are avoiding people today and more than likely tomorrow so that we don't spread it any further than just us.
I would like to thank everyone that reads and votes for Kaitlyn's site. She has hit 4,000 votes and nearly 45,000 views! That's amazing! Thanks so much!
She has had diarhea for most of the week. I assumed it was from sneaking into the Easter Candy on a regular basis. Yesterday, she started to get really warm feeling and sleepy. She slept from about 3 to 6, which is when we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house. There, she played an hour or so and fell asleep! She didn't even get to see Auntie Sammie or Uncle Davey who were all the way from Monterey to visit!
Kaitlyn slept the whole way home and only wanted to sleep in her bed with her "pooh bear" At about 2, I hear her whimpering and went to check on her. She was burning up. She had never been this warm before. I brought her to our bed, tried to give her juice and she fell straight to sleep. About an hour later, she was whimpering again and warmer. We tried to give her Tylenol and she started throwing up.
As soon as the doctor's office opened, we called and scheduled an appointment. Kaitlyn was seen today at 4 PM. She has a severe viral infection. She is highly contagious so we have to cancel our plans for this weekend and keep her from infecting anyone. The inside of her mouth is covered in sores from the infection :( I feel terrible for her. The doctor said it explains why she's in pain and not eating or drinking. She'll probably have a fever of 101-105 for the next 3-5 days and the sore throat for up to a week. If she continues to vomit or the diarhea continues we have to return to the hospital tomorrow for IV fluids to prevent dehydration.
As her condition changes, we'll update the site. Hopefully she'll start to feel better soon!
Easter got off to a good start on Saturday night. We went to Nana and Papa's to meet Auntie Christy, Unlce Dennis and Camaryn to dye Easter Eggs! Kaitlyn was so anxious, but was such a good girl until Camaryn got there.
The girls were precious dying their eggs! It was so much fun to watch!
Afterwards, the girls opened their presents from Nana and Papa!
We went home and Kaitlyn went straight to sleep! Since she seemed to have a bit of an upset tummy, she slept with Mommy and Daddy. While she was sleeping, the Easter Bunny left a basket on her bed! By 9:00, we couldn't wait any longer for our sleeping beauty to wake up, so we gently woke her up and told her that the Easter Bunny had been here and left a surprise in her room! She didn't need anymore inspiration! Kaitlyn jumped out of bed and ran down the hall to see!
Kaitlyn carefully opened her basket and played with every little thing as she opened it! It was so much fun to watch! She loved her Sponge Bob eggs with money in them and shared her cookies with daddy!
After opening her basket, we went downstairs and dyed Easter Eggs! Kaitlyn had a blast and had to dye blue eggs first. She had so much fun that she didn't want to stop! She was covered from head to toe in dye of all colors! It was then that she took her bath!
After bath time, we all loaded up in the car to go to tGrandma and Grandpa's house! There Kaitlyn got more Easter presents! She also got to do her very first Easter Egg Hunt! She had a blast! After each egg, she yelled, "More Eggs!"
After the egg hunt, Auntie Christina got there had had another present for Kaitlyn!
Soon after, we had yummy dinner with Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul, Cousin Felecia, Auntie Christina, and Uncle Brian follwed with yummy and pretty cupcakes!
Soon, it was time to go. We all loaded in the car again to go to Nana and Papa's for more Easter Fun! Kaitlyn got yet another Easter Present from Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and cousin Camaryn.
The girl's had an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard and then more dinner! They got to play and play until it was time to go night night!
Kaitlyn had an amazing Easter! She got to spend the holiday with people that she loves and have so much fun! She ended up with 6 Easter Baskets! She came home with a new chair, towel, pillows, about 7 DVDs, a whole summer wardrobe, books galore and every Sponge Bob toy imaginable, 2 of some of them!
Thank you so much to everyone that worked together to make this Easter Magical for our little princess!!
Our poor baby girl! We had a day all lined up with a pancake breakfast at the park and huge Easter Egg Hunt followed by dying eggs.
Kaitlyn woke up this morning a little while before we were supposed to leave and started throwing up. She's not a happy camper. I sincerely hope she improves really soon so she can have some fun!
Kaitlyn did great yesterday! We went to San Francisco for a go-see with Familiar! There were so many kids there, but Kaitlyn was the only one with blonde hair or blue eyes and the clients had requested talent have both, so hopefully that'll work in her favor. She was smiley and happy and they took a ton of pictures of her!
After the go-see, we headed to pick up Daddy. Kaitlyn was such a good girl. When we got home, I was trying to do a little bit of work and with good intentions, Kaitlyn did something very naughty, she fed the fish. Half a can of food. I went into emergency mode to try and save our fishies. The tank has needed a cleaning anyways, but I had planned on saving it for a weekend. I guess, I couldn't do that now!
We went up to the fish store and Kaitlyn was really excited to pick out some blue fish. She loved all of them. She kept asking for "snake Pleeeease" but I had to tell her no. Snakes are not my forte. The fish tank is beautiful today and she has went up to it at least a thousand times to say "hi New fishies" and "hi old fishies"
This afternoon, we went to Speech Therapy. Kaitlyn did great! They said she is showing so much improvement and the parts she is "lacking" on are typical for a child her age. We shouldn't be concerned and they will work with her and with help, she'll start exceeding her goals in no time! I was very proud of my princess!
In the morning, we are heading to Carmichael Park for the Easter Egg Hunt and pancake breakfast! From there, we are coming home and dying some Easter Eggs! Kaitlyn has several sets that she picked out so this should be a blast!
Sunday, is of course Easter and we are blessed to be spending it with both families. Look forward to a bunch of new pictures and some stories! Have a great weekend!
What a fun day yesterday! Kaitlyn finally finished her antibiotics and seems to be feeling better. She still has a bit of the side effects, but hopefully they will wear off in the next day or two.
Yesterday, we took Daddy to work and then Kaitlyn demanded Orange Juice. So, I happily obliged. From there, we came home and Kaitlyn helped Mommy clean while she watched her movie. We went for a couple of walks around the complex before we went out for lunch. Kaitlyn slept while Mommy ran some errands and she woke up just in time for shopping at the mall!
We finished up our Easter Shopping, picked up Kaitlyn's Easter pictures and since Kaitlyn was so good, we went to Burger King for "sponge Bob toy" She was in heaven!
When we got home, she couldn't wait to show Archie her Sponge Bob toy and lemonaide. The two of them played and Mommy worked. After a couple of hours, it was time to go and meet Daddy, Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian at Scandia. Kaitlyn happily watched Daddy hit some baseballs and then we went inside for some games! Kaitlyn LOVED the bowling game. It's like a child size bowling alley. On Kaitlyn's first frame, she got a spare! Her game actually beat Daddy's game and he was really trying! She just might need a Mickey Mouse bowling ball like her daddy had.
After a lot of playing, balloons and caroseul rides, it was time for us all to get some yummies in our tummies! We all headed to Red Lobster. Kaitlyn wanted the "good stuff" from Mommy's salad and couldn't wait to get her Macaronni and Cheese. Everytime the waiter walked by, she would ask him for it.
Kaitlyn was a good girl, the couple next to us stopped on their way out to tell us how cute she was.
We came home and Kaitlyn was still pretty wound up from such a fun day, so she didn't fall asleep until really late. I hope she gets a good nap in because tonight is Daddy, Papa and Uncle Brian's softball game and I know she won't want to sleep through it!
We got going at about 11:30 and dropped Archie off with Nana and Papa! From there, we headed down the long, windy, river road to where Grandma and Grandpa were camping!
Kaitlyn was a good girl on the drive and kept telling daddy to look at the water!!
When we got there, Kaitlyn was so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa that she jumped out of the car and ran to where they were! She played, and played and played! Auntie Christina set up her really cool tent that had a tunnel she could crawl through and Kaitlyn played "Peek Boo" with everyone around!
After a while of playing and relaxing, we got into Grandma's car and drove to the nearest supermarket. I personally LOVE Rio Vista and all the small town charm it has! Kaitlyn picked out the juice she wanted as well as an orange sherbert push-up pop that put her in heaven!
After we finished shopping, it was time to go and pick up Uncle Donny! Uncle Donny and Kaitlyn played for a long time while everyone rested and relaxed. After a while, Daddy, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian and Uncle Donny decided to take a boat ride. While they were gone, Kaitlyn had a blast playing in the new fifth wheel Grandma and Grandpa bought. She ran up and down all the stairs, played on the beds, watched her movies and had a great time!
When everyone got back, dinner was started! It was very yummy! We all hung out for a few more hours before we headed home! Kaitlyn was so tired from all the running and playing she was fast asleep when she got in her seat!
We haven't made our plans for today, but the might include the Easter Bunny!
Last night was the start of Daddy and Papa's Thursday night softball league! While they were playing "bae ball" on the field, Kaitlyn was hard playing off the field! She was such a big, independent, good girl! She loved the slide, swings, sand, rocks everything. She was friendly with every kid that walked up, big, small, boy, girl, interested or not!
Kaitlyn had a blast playing with Camaryn and her Sponge Bob Ball! It was so cute watching them both on the bridge together making it go faster and faster! Check out all the pictures in the picture section!
Today, Kaitlyn had speech therapy! She has 3 goals to accomplish by November. Her first goal is to say yes at the appropriate time at least 70% of the time. As of last week, she was at about 40-50%. Today she was at 95% so they brought out a bunch of toys and flash cards and tested her! She officially accomplished that goal! So, she only has 2 more to be where she should be for her age. At that point, they will determine if she needs new goals or not.
Kaitlyn seems to be feeling a little better. She still has her cough and runny nose during the day, but she is sleeping through the night without any complaints. Hopefully she'll be well before Easter!
Yesterday, we had a ton of fun. We met Auntie Christy, Camaryn, Sara and Kayla at Burger King for Sponge Bob toys, fun and maybe even some food! The girls were so cute together.
After lunch, I loaded Kaitlyn and Camaryn into my car and headed to Nana and Papa's. Auntie Christy had a hair appointment and Nana was going to babysit Camaryn for a little while. On the way home, Kaitlyn fell fast asleep!
Right before we went bye-bye to get Daddy, the mailman dropped off our mail. Kaitlyn was very excited to open her package from her Cousin Hope. She loved her new movie and couldn't wait to watch the "munny's"
After picking Daddy up, we went to Nana and Papa's! Kaitlyn was a very good eater and her and Cami played and played. We went home in time for medicine and night night time. Kaitlyn insisted that if she had to take such yucky medicine she should be rewarded with chocolate milk. I thought that was a yummy idea and joined her.
Yesterday, the mail also brought Kaitlyn's new printed headshots from Ford!
Tonight, daddy and papa have a softball game. I think it's going to be too windy for us to go though. They have another game tomorrow night. Friday night we are going to BBQ at Aunt Jamie and Uncle Joel's and on Saturday we might go camping with Grandma and Grandpa in their new fifth wheel!
