Kaitlyn had a blast of a weekend! Friday, she had speech therapy with her new therapist (Miss Sarah went on Maternity leave and is awaiting the arrival of a little girl) Miss Pam. Kaitlyn was tired and not up to talking until the last 5 minutes. Miss Pam did ease our concerns about Kaitlyn's recent stuttering. She gave us a lot of information about developmental stuttering and how Kaitlyn is probably preparing for a big breakthrough! We were so pleased to hear that!
Friday night, Kaitlyn got to play with Daddy and Archie! Her favorite thing ever! Saturday morning started bright and early! Kaitlyn went to JC Penney's and had her St. Patty's Day Pictures taken. She was a good girl and the pictures should come back right before St. Patrick's day! Keep your eyes out for yours!
After pictures, we went and picked up Daddy and headed to Super Walmart for Daddy to pick up some supplies for his trip with Grandpa, Uncle Paul and Uncle Brian on Sunday. Kaitlyn got to eat some yummy French Fries! From there, we picked up Archie and drove to Kaitlyn's favorite park to meet Camaryn and her cousins Isabella and Martina. They played and played! Once the girls were all worn out we went to Auntie Christy's to see Camaryn's new friends, "Frick and Frack" the cutest Hamsters EVER! Kaitlyn loved them. She was gentle and even tried to hold the fast little things!
When Kaitlyn was nice and tired we headed home. She was fast asleep before we even finished the short drive.
Sunday morning we had breakfast and then went with Auntie Christina and Grandma to look for a new car for Mommy. After the first few dealerships, Kaitlyn was done and so was mommy! We picked Archie up and decided it was time to go to Grandma's and see Daddy! Kaitlyn was THRILLED to see her Daddy, she kept crying for him as soon as we got to the door and couldn't stand to let him out of her sight.
Kaitlyn played and played and played and played! She loved being the center of attention!
This morning, Kaitlyn got to hear the babies heart beat on my new fetal doppler. She kept asking "Baby?" and looking at the monitor that shows the heart rate. I think she was impressed.
We are looking forward to a fun month! Great-Grandma Mauda has a birthday this week! We ordered Kaitlyn a beautiful lilac Easter Dress to have her pictures taken in on March 24 at a Special Event, AND we are probably going to go to Marine World and see all of the new things they have for toddlers!
We had quite the busy day yesterday! After dropping Daddy off at work, Kaitlyn and I headed to Hawyard (Bay Area) to the Mervyn's World Headquarters. There, Kaitlyn was measured, photographed and all that good stuff for fit modeling. She was going at the same time as a 4 year old who was only an inch taller than Kaitlyn! I can't believe how big she's gotten!
After the good girl was all done, we headed in the car. We came home for a little while where Kaitlyn stopped a woman on the street, pointed to her chest and said "Hello, Me Kaitlyn" it was so cute. She then excitedly called her daddy to say Hi!
After lunch, teeth were brushed and it was time to go to the Dentist. There was a problem with the oral surgery of a child before Kaitlyn, so we had to wait nearly 2 hours! It was such a long time.
When the dentist came in, Kaitlyn was tired, but a pretty good girl for him! He said she had the best hygene he had ever seen on a child that age. He was impressed that she was completely free of tarter and plaque! He commented that it had been years since he's seen a child reach the age of 2 without a single cavity. She has strong enamel and strong teeth. We no longer have to give her floride drops and just need to keep up "the good work!"
We inquired as to putting sealant on her teeth to protect him. The dentist told me that typically he does it as standard procedure on toddlers, but since Kaitlyn's teeth are so well cared for even the tiniest risks of sedation would not be worth it in any way. He also decided not to do a cleaning since there wasn't anything to clean, it would do more harm than good.
The dentist also said that the spacing was perfect. With the high arch in her mouth and the spacing it was unlikely that she would ever need braces.
So, Kaitlyn had a good appointment!
We went and picked up Archie and Kaitlyn got a chocolate milkshake for being a good girl. We picked Daddy up and then headed to Nana and Papa's to see Papa! Kaitlyn was very happy to see him home. Kaitlyn went with Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn to dinner while Daddy took Mommy home to rest!
Today promises to be a nice relaxing day with lots of Dumbo!
What a busy week it's been! Kaitlyn has grown so much! She's at 29.5 pounds and 36 inches tall!!! We all know what that means right? It means Kaitlyn is officially in the 3T size! I updated her stats with her agency on Thursday and 12 hours later, Friday morning, she had a call to go to work for fit modeling for Mervyn's on Wednesday! Yippee!!
Kaitlyn is still under the weather. We're hoping it passes really soon, and I know eventually it has to. Kaitlyn is really mucousy and not in the friendliest of moods most of the time. We canceled her Speech Therapy appointment on Friday because we didn't want to contaminate any more kiddos!
Yesterday, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. There we threw a surprise party for Auntie Sammie! She was soooo surprised that everyone was there for her birthday. She got a lot of goodies and played Kaitlyn forever and ever. I know Kaitlyn was sad to see her and Uncle Davey go home!
This morning, Kaitlyn had breakfast at Nana's with her and Auntie Christy and Uncle Dennis and Cami. Cami was sleeping when we got there and Kaitlyn impatiently waited FOREVER for her to wake up!
This afternoon we are going to Grandma and Grandpa's for Sunday dinner and a whole lot of fun! Have a safe, dry and Happy Sunday everyone!
By the way: It looks like we are going to have to buy a new computer before I can update the video and pictures :( Be patient and we'll do it as soon as we can :)
It's a rainey stormy day here. Kaitlyn seems to be feeling a little better. Her runny nose seems to have turned into a cough. Coughs we can easily treat, so I'm glad.
Yesterday, when Kaitlyn went to pick Daddy up from work, his co-worker had a belated Christmas present for her. Kaitlyn was a little sick and shy to open and enjoy it, but she LOVES her happy feet Dance mat and has been dancing on it non-stop. I'm going to try and get a video of it!
Kaitlyn's great grandma Bobbie is very sick and Kaitlyn hopes that she gets well soon! Her Papa is flying out now to see her. Today our cutie pie is going to stay inside and have fun with mommy! We hope everyone stays dry today!
Yesterday, Kaitlyn spent the day at Grandma's with Grandma and Auntie Christina. She made sure that her bossiness came out in full force! She refused to let Auntie Christina off of the swings and said so with such force Auntie Christina had to comply!
When Mommy and Daddy got there, she was really excited. She showed us just how much energy she had!
This morning, Kaitlyn woke up with a bit of a cold. She took a nice warm bath and watched the Baby Story with Mommy and went back to sleep. She's still sleeping! Cousin Cami isn't feeling good either so hopefully these princesses will be back in tip top shape in no time.
Also, we had a power outage in our area on Saturday that seems to have fried our upstairs computer. Since that is the computer I upload pics and video from, it might be a few days before I can add new ones :(
We got an early start Saturday morning. Kaitlyn woke up right before it was time to leave for the pageant. She was in a happy, happy mood!
We drove to Vacaville's Community Center with Nana and Kaitlyn eagerly met Auntie Christy and Cousin Camaryn. We got checked in and saw that Cousin Camaryn won front cover with her super cute picture!! Congratulations gorgeous!
There were a ton of kids at this pageant and it was running behind. Camaryn went on stage and was so cute!! She shined up there. She won Front Cover, Best Attire and Photogenic. She walked away with a trophey, two plaques and two tiaras! Not too shabby at all!
At about 1:00 PM, it was finally time for Kaitlyn's line up. We had been there since 10:00 and she was getting a bit crabby about being there! When she saw that she finally got to go on stage she perked up! She went on stage, blew kisses, danced, waved and took a bow! Kaitlyn walked away with Best Model (like we all know she is!) and Photogenic! We are so proud of our gorgeous princesses! I'll have video up soon!
After the pageant, we drove home to pack really fast and pick up daddy. Kaitlyn slept while mommy and daddy packed up some things and got in the car. Daddy drove Archie to Grandma and Grandpa's while Mommy, Nana and Kaitlyn drove to pick up Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn.
From there we picked up Daddy and started the drive. We were at Uncle Calvin's by 7:00 PM and Nikki and Adrian eagerly met us outside! It was Ahsley's birthday so we sang to her and had some yummy cake and ice cream. After a while it was time to get our little princesses to bed!
We all got in the car and found ourselves a nice hotel to slumber at for the night. Kaitlyn ran, jumped and played for a bit before conking out for the night! We got a bright and early start on Sunday because we had a lot to do!
First, we went to get Uncle Calvin and Nikki! From there we headed out to meet Kaitlyn and Camaryn's Aunt Annaise and Uncle Steve. Kaitlyn and Camaryn had a blast visiting for a while and playing outside!
After visiting for a while, we headed into another town to Meet their Aunt Mary and Uncle Ray. We all met at a yummy resturaunt. Kaitlyn was fast asleep the entire time, but Camaryn loved being the center of attention. We all met with Aunt Mary and Aunt Chrissy and talked forever and ever!
After several hours at the resturaunt, we headed back to Unlce Calvins! We gave all our hugs and kisses and headed back to Sacramento! We got back into town super, duper late but that didn't stop Kaitlyn from wanting to see her Grandma and Grandpa!! Grandpa was already asleep, but Kaitlyn had a blast playing with Grandma! Grandpa had a big surprise this morning since Kaitlyn got to spend the night! She had been in the car for so long and so wanted to see Grandma and Grandpa, how could we take her home after such a short visit?
So, today we are going to go to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner and play time with the pricness!!
I hope everyone has had a great 3-day weekend! We'll be updating the pictures and video in no time!
Kaitlyn would like to wish Uncle Paul a super duper Happy Birthday!!
Kaitlyn had a pretty terrific end to Valentine's Day! She took a nice long nap and then Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy and Cami came by with more presents. They brought mommy roses and a DVD and Auntie Christy and Cami brought Kaitlyn a whole bag full of presents! Now she has her own Sponge Bob pillow, and another Elmo DVD, tons of potty things, lots of stickers and a NEMO card!! She's one lucky girl!
After we picked up daddy, Kaitlyn got her presents from mommy and daddy. She got new Cinderella panties, Elmo goes Potty on DVD, a ton of hair accessories, books, paint, crayons, paper, candy, toys and stickers galore!
We went out to eat. Mommy REALLY wanted Red Lobster. They had a 2 hour wait. That's too long for us. Everywhere else in the area had a long wait too, so we went to Denny's. Kaitlyn was a perfect little girl waiting. She ate her food (and some of mine!) and drank water like a pro. Afterwards, we went to Target and Kaitlyn got some more books and Daddy bought mommy the baby name book with over 100,000 names in it!!
So far, Kaitlyn is having a wonderful Valentine's Day!
On Sunday, she got her presents from Grandma and Grandpa. She got a new Elmo lunch box that was filled with cookies, a new Disney Princess make-up and jewelry set, and a new carrying case for all of her hair accessories, and new hair accessories! A princess always has to look her best after all!
Last night, she got to give Cami, Nana and Papa their presents. She got a present from Nana and Papa too! She got a balloon, a new Cowgirl outfit, denim jacket, poodle purse and lots of stickers!
This morning, when the princess woke up Daddy surprised mommy with a lot of pretty roses and candy but made sure not to leave Kaitlyn out! On her night stand (a complete surprise even to mommy) was her very own orchid. It is a beautiful purple and growing so big. Daddy even made sure to tuck in some candy for Kaitlyn and some Monkey heart stickers.
Tonight, after Daddy gets home, Kaitlyn will get her big presents from mommy and daddy. I know she's going to be thrilled, she's been trying to peak all week!
We wish you all a very happy day! Thank you so much for the Valentine's Day wishes!
Be sure to check back tonight or in the morning for the brand new update complete with new pictures!
Kaitlyn has some very important things she would like to say!
First, Happy Birthday Cousin Hope! We hope you enjoy your 3rd birthday and this year even more than before!
Second, Happy Valentine's Day to all of our friend's and family. We hope that the valentine's cards and warm wishes have found you with happy hearts. Have a great and wonderful day surrounded by those you love.
Last night, Kaitlyn and Camaryn went to their very first movie! We all went and saw Charlotte's web. I was so proud of our little princess. She wanted the tub of popcorn all to herself and sat it right between her legs. Whenever I tried to get a piece she would say "No Mommy!"
She sat still and interested the entire first half of the movie. She did a little talking when she got excited, but not too much. About halfway through, Camaryn needed an outside break. Kaitlyn was very concerned with "Camaryn cry" that she handed me her popcorn, jumped out of her seat and made a mad dash out the door. Once out the door, Kaitlyn saw all the arcade games. She was so upset that she couldn't play them right then. So, I asked her if she wanted to watch the movie or go home and she quickly decided to watch the movie.
She did so good the entire rest of the movie! I was so proud of her. She held my hand on the way to the car and jumped in every puddle. I'm glad she had so much fun!
Knowing how good she is, I look forward to sharing her love for movies with her and her daddy!
Kaitlyn had a great weekend. Saturday was kind of a lazy day. We spent most of the day hanging out at home. She rested, she played, she ate! In the afternoon hours, we braved the stormy weather and headed to the mall! Kaitlyn was a doll and we were so proud of her!
Sunday morning, Kaitlyn slept in and Mommy had to work. It worked out ok because Kaitlyn had a blast playing with daddy. After all the work was done we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house! Kaitlyn had so much fun playing in her house and in her car! She is getting so big so fast!
This morning Kaitlyn went shopping with Mommy to get Daddy some presents and a couple more things for Cami before coming home to work. This afternoon we have to go to Mommy's office so we will probably make a stop at the mall ;)
