Just a quick update today! We went and visited the doctor. Kaitlyn has a cough that is keeping her from sleeping and we wanted to rule out anything serious. It is indeed just a cough!
BUT, guess how much our chunky monkey weighs!! She is up to 29.5 pounds!! It's a good thing she's so tall!
Today, Kaitlyn went with Mommy and Daddy to the first doctor's appointment for the new baby. The pre-natel nurse was so impressed with how well behaved our princess was. She kept saying how it was obvious I spent so much time with her and how socialized she was. She was shocked to hear that Kaitlyn was only a little over two. She did such a good job of showing the lady all the colors and some numbers, and started drawing inside the lines! The nurse was even pleased with how well Kaitlyn was speaking and was shocked to hear that she was a student of speech therapy.
Today, Kaitlyn did get a bit of a cough. She is going to see her doctor tomorrow to rule out any infections or serious illnesses. Her speech therapy was canceled for this week. Miss Sarah is having a baby and her baby is breech, so tomorrow morning they are going to try to physically turn the baby. Next Friday will be Kaitlyn's last visit with Miss Sarah before she goes out on Maternity leave. She will meet Miss Pam who will be her new speech therapist and will start meeting at 2:00 Pm on Fridays instead.
I cannot believe that Valentine's Day is nearly here! We have Kaitlyn and Camaryn's gifts nearly ready. I think we just need one more cool thing for each bag and they will be all set. These are some spoiled little girls! I just hope they are willing to share when the new baby gets here.
Kaitlyn doesn't have too much going on this weekend. Hopefully Saturday we can get pictures of Kaitlyn and Camaryn together in their Valentine's outfits. Sunday we are going to Grandma and Grandpa's! If the weather is nice enough she can even play in her house!
Next Saturday is Kaitlyn and Camaryn's pageant in Vacaville. I still need to finish Kaitlyn's dress. I realized it was much too big in the top, so I took it apart to re-do. Hopefully that can be completed this weekend!
Everyone should keep their eyes on their mailboxes since Valentine's Day cards and pictures are going to be sent out by Monday!
Kaitlyn has had quite the busy week! On Friday night, she went shopping with mommy to get supplies to make her Big Sister shirt and Cami's Big Cousin Shirt. She also helped mommy pick out some birthday presents!
Saturday morning, she got all prettied up and we headed to Nana and Papa's. When Auntie Christy got there we waited for Papa to get there to share our big news. Kaitlyn proudly showed off her shirt announcing that she is now a big sister!
Once all the excitment was over, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, and Camaryn had to go bye-bye. Once they left, Kaitlyn went with Nana and I to do some shopping and get Valentine's pictures made in time to submit to her Hawaiian Tropic Pageant this month. Kaitlyn had some pretty pictures made and then fell fast asleep while Nana and Mommy hit the mall!
After some damage was done in the best stores, we headed back to Nana and Papa's where we were having dinner with Auntie Jamie and Uncle Joel. We had lots of yummy food and Daddy barbequed perfectly! We got to play and have fun and tell them our exciting news! Aunt Jamie would really like a boy ;)
Sunday morning we woke up bright and early so mommy could make a cake for the Super Bowl. We all got dressed and ready and loaded up in the car. Kaitlyn was so excited to run into Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma was home, so she showed Grandma her new shirt. Grandma was very excited. Then we showed Uncle Scotty and Aunt Jamie, then Grandpa got home and we showed him too! Within the next hour we had told Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Cousin Felecia, Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey!
Kaitlyn had a lot of fun playing and running around during the big game. During the half time show, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Cami came over too! Kaitlyn was so excited, she didn't want to wait for Cami to finish waking up, she kept telling her "Come on Camaryn" and pulled her hand into her play room so she could help her have fun!
On Monday, Kaitlyn helped Mommy work all day. She played in the office, entertained tenants and watched Nemo. Uncle Brian came over around 4 while he waited for his car to be fixed down the street. Kaitlyn insisted that she read him stories and would hide behind him everytime I came in the room.
When Daddy got home, Auntie Christina came over too and we all went to Rey's for dinner. It was delecious. Kaitlyn had skipped her nap, so she fell asleep in the middle of eating a chip. She was so tired!
Tuesday morning, Kaitlyn woke up bright and early to take Daddy to "brok". When we got home, she insisted on a "po art" (pop tart) and Nemo. After a bit of both, we got dressed and headed to the post office to do some mailing! She was so good and everyone kept saying how cute and well behaved she was, if only they knew...
We then went and did some shopping for Cami's Valentine's day present. Kaitlyn had a blast and was a pretty good girl. She came home and went straight to sleep!
We went and picked up Daddy from work, picked up Archie and headed to Nana and Papa's. Auntie Christy and Cami were there and Kaitlyn and Cami just played and played. If Kaitlyn was coloring she tried to insist that Cami color too. When Cami didn't want to she would insist further, sticking the crayon in her hand and "helping" her to draw. It was cute.
Today, we have some work to do. It's rainy so I don't think we'll be outside much, but we can enjoy hot chocolate inside. This evening we will be visiting with Uncle Danny and Aunt Evelyn which should be a good time.
I wish everyone a happy Wednesday and be safe in the rain!
Kaitlyn's going to be a big sister!! On Friday night we officially found out that we are going to be expanding our family by one more! This September Kaitlyn is going to be a big sister! I know she is going to be great!
Tomorrow (or tonight) we will update the front page with new Valentine pictures and a link to the new babies site (babyhomepages.net/2ndmillerbaby).
Lookie here, it's a whole new month!! Can you believe that this year is already 1/12 of the way over???
Kaitlyn was with mommy all day yesterday. It started with a safety meeting for mommy's work. Kaitlyn is such a ham. While everyone was being "lectured" by the company owner because some people don't hand in reports on time Kaitlyn started loudly saying "blah blah bleh blo blah" over and over and over again. I tried to get her to stop, but she would just do it more. The room had so many giggles in it. Alice, the owner, had to stop and laugh too.
Of course, Kaitlyn loved the attention so she had to run to the front of the room and stand next to Alice for the rest of the meeting. She doesn't have a shy bone in her body!
Sometime this weeked we are going to have Kaitlyn's pictures taken for Valentine's Day. I feel like a total slacker for not having them done yet! So, they will be done! Kaitlyn will also be attending a birthday party and seeing Aunt Jamie and Uncle Joel on Saturday. Then on Sunday she'll watch the Superbowl at Grandma and Grandpa's!
I hope everyone's week so far has been great! Have a Happy February with lots of love!
Kaitlyn had a great weekend! Friday night, she spent it hanging out with mommy and daddy! Kaitlyn watched Lady and the Tramp a few times before going to sleep.
Saturday, Kaitlyn got to spend the day with mommy and daddy running some errands, playing and having a good time messing up everything mommy cleaned! Kaitlyn decided to trade in Lady and The Tramp for Monster's Inc. for her upstairs movie. She would cover her eyes and peek through her fingers whenever the monsters were being scary!
Kaitlyn went to Nana and Papa's Saturday night for some yummy Chinese Food while Mommy and Daddy went with Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian to see Jim Norton! It was a lot of fun for everyone!
Sunday morning was started off with a big, yummy breakfast Kaitlyn helped mommy make! Then it was some playing and resting before heading to Grandma and Grandpa's! Kaitlyn had a lot of fun on the slide, swing and playing in the sand. She got to play, and play, and play!! She was very tired by the time we went home.
Monday, Kaitlyn helped Mommy rent out apartments. After Daddy got home, we went to Nana and Papa's where Kaitlyn got to play and play with Cousin Cami! The girls even put on their own pageant for us on the stage!!
Today, Kaitlyn worked with mommy. She went with mommy to run a lot of errands which were followed up with a hair cut! Kaitlyn's hair is growing like crazy and we have to trim those bangs every 4 weeks or so! She was a very good girl. The hair stylist was so impressed with what a pro she was! She sat there and smiled the entire time.
Kaitlyn's busy day meant she needed a late nap. She was still asleep when Daddy got home. When she woke up she had Spaghetti on the mind and wouldn't rest until Mommy made some! Then, we made some yummy cookies. Mommy and Daddy had a craving for pizza too, so when that arrived Kaitlyn helped herself!
Kaitlyn would like to congratulate her cousin Hope for her product shot! Hope shot the cover for the Lil' Baby Gym and it is now available for purchase in the United States. Visit Amazon to place your order today!
I just can't wait to do the Valentine's Day layout. Since it will only be up for a couple of weeks, I decided to do it early! I hope you like it.
Today, for lunch it was a pretty enough day that I decided to take Kaitlyn to the park. It's hard to go outside and play when it's cold out and since it was in the 50s I figured 3-4 layers would make it warm enough.
Kaitlyn was so excited to be out in the sun. We went to the toddler park (a special enclosed playground for 2-5 year olds) and had the whole place to ourselves. Kaitlyn had a blast running around, climbing and going down the slide. She even got to play with the skates Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Cami got her for Christmas. Kaitlyn was not excited when it was time to go, but we have many, many, many more trips to the park in our near future!
Here are 2 videos, the first is Kaitlyn at the park, it shows her on her skates, howling like the Tramp and sliding down the big slide. The second is from Connor's birthday party when she got to play in the bounce house.
Did I type that correctly? Is this month already nearing it's end?? If January passed so quickly, I don't have high expectations for the rest of the year to slow down!
We have a lot going on this year. February holds a lot of birthdays, and I mean a lot of birthdays! It also has Kaitlyn and Camaryn's Hawaiian Tropic Sweetheart pageant.
March has St. Patty's day, a lot of sunny weekends and hopefully a trip to Monterey to visit Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey.
April brings us a trip to visit the Easter Bunny and the coloring of Easter Eggs. April brings us birthdays, and I am sure many trips to the zoo!
May brings us more birthdays, more sunny days and more outings to enjoy with Kaitlyn. It also brings us a day to celebrate the special mother's in our lives.
June brings a whole lotta birthdays! It also brings us a trip to Philadelphia and if I can talk daddy into it a trip to Sesame Place!! It might also take Kaitlyn and Cami to the New Star Discovery State Pageant.
July brings us fireworks and even more birthdays! It brings us lot of trips on the boat, yummy BBQs and time for friends and family.
August brings us birthdays and Anniversary's alike. August brings us Cami's 2nd birthday (a bash to be celebrated by all I'm sure!)
September brings us a trip to a beautiful area in Nevada close to Las Vegas. It also brings us the perfect weather to go start the fun at pumpkin patches!
October brings us a lot of fun! Trick or Treating, dressing up, playing with pumpkins and hay rides!
November brings us many, many birthdays! Including Kaitlyn's 3rd and her Cowgirl birthday party! It also brings us Thanksgiving and plenty of time to spend with those we love.
December brings us Christmas! All the excitement and wonder that Santa has to offer, twinkling lights and of course, a new year!
Of course, we want to try and go to Monterey to visit as much as possible, and Kaitlyn has her modeling in beautiful San Francisco and we want to play, play, play at every free moment!
See, I told you this year is going to fly by!
I can't believe it's nearly time to update the website again! Look for it sometime next week :) I've been working very hard on it! I do feel as though I?ve been slacking on the updates though! I need to add new pictures!
Kaitlyn is doing ok. She has a little cough during the night. Last night she didn't sleep too well, so neither did mommy.
Kaitlyn has two favorite movies right now, an "upstairs" movie and a "downstairs" move. Upstairs, her favorite move is Lady and the Tramp. Downstairs it is Finding Nemo. The downstairs move can never be watched upstairs, Kaitlyn will tell you NO, Downstairs! very firmly.
So, Kaitlyn now likes to howl like a dog and is getting pretty good at it. I'm going to try and get video today to update you all with, it's so cute!!
Kaitlyn has been showing a lot of improvement with her pronunciation as well! I think she is really going to impress Miss Sarah tomorrow at Speech Therapy!
Kaitlyn did great for LL Bean! She wore her pigtails low and the photographer LOVED them. She kept saying how cute they were and how much she loved pigtails and how Kaitlyn was the only one so far to wear them. She was smiley and so sweet. We don't hear about call-backs until the 3rd week of February. If she gets the booking, it is an on location shoot in Sonoma! I bet it'll be gorgeous!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week surrounded by loved ones and happy feelings!
I'd like to introduce Miss Kaitlyn Miller, 3rd Queen, Most Photogenic and Back Runner Up at today's Magical Dream World Pageant.
Miss Camaryn Sanchez was also crowned 2nd Queen, Best Model, Best Personality and Front Cover Runner-up of her age group!
Congratulations ladies!
Today's pageant was definatly an interesting experiance. Kaitlyn and Camaryn were absolutely gorgeous. Most of the other girls were in full make-up, false eye lashes, false hair, incrediby expensive dresses, fake nails and had their pageant coaches, and hair and make-up artists with them. Even the babies and toddlers. It was not what we were used to.
Kaitlyn acted like a perfect 2 year old on stage. She danced, spun, jump, bowed, blowed kisses and waved. She looked gorgeous in her Beauty Wear, had fun in her Winter Wear, danced in her Western Wear and was absolutely adorable in her sleepwear. She was a perfect princess.
Kaitlyn was so very tired by the end of the day. She took a long nap until crowning. We are so incredibly proud of both our little Queens!
While we will more than likely continue to do pageants, we will never do a "glitz" pageant again with our innocent princess. While it may be wonderful for some families, it isn't our cup of tea.
Kaitlyn and I would like to give a very special thank you to Grandma, Nana, Auntie Christina, Aunt Beth, Auntie Christy and Aunt Jamie for supporting them all day! It's wonderful and magical to have so many supportive members in the audience cheering on our babies. I would also like to thank all of the loving people who left Kaitlyn good luck wishes and sent her luck all day long.
As soon as I get pics from Grandma, Aunt Beth's and Auntie Jamie's cameras I'll have them on here! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'll update more tomorrow after Kaitlyn's LL Bean go-see.
Well, tomorrow is the big day! The girls will model their 4 outfits on stage and have a blast dancing, singing and enjoying all the attention they'll receive.
Last night, Auntie Christy, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie and Uncle Joel all came over. We went to the yummy resturaunt across the street before we dove into the tasks at hand; finishing pageant wear!
Each of the girls will be in an original, custom outfit for all divisions. It has been a blast designing and creating outfits for each of them to wear.
Here are Kaitlyn's outfits, I am sorry they didn't photograph well, the lighting was terrible.
Here is her Beauty Dress
Here is her Western Wear. You can't see all the crystals and rhinestones in this picture, but it really sparkles
Winter Wear
Kaitlyn's Theme Wear is Jammies!!
Today, Kaitlyn is going to get her hair trimmed and visit with Nana and Papa. Right now, she is enjoying Sponge Bob and apples before she has to get dressed!
You are more than welcomed to leave any encouraging commens for Kaitlyn on her site and we'll read them to her before we leave. On Monday, Kaitlyn also has a go-see for LL Bean, so wish our little Beauties lots of luck!!
As of today, Kaitlyn is a whole month older! I cannot believe 3 months have already passed since her birthday. Before we know it, Kaitlyn is going to be 3 years old! Don't worry, we've already started planning the big birthday bash, you know it's my favorite time of year! Her birthday falls on a Saturday this year, so be sure to mark your calendar for November 17 and be ready to wrangle your way to celebrate cowgirl style with us!
Kaitlyn is growing like a weed! She's so tall. She's at a little over 34 inches now and weighs 28 pounds. While she's a little skinny for 3T, she's too tall for 2T now. So we love belts and adjustable waists!
Kaitlyn is getting so smart. She can get anywhere she wants since she's mastered door knobs, climbing, crawling and now locking and unlocking doors. She's getting so good at talking, her vocabulary grows every day. She loves to run, to jump, to ribbit like a frog (which means getting on the floor and hopping like one too!) and ends every night saying good night to everyone she loves (believe me that is a long list!).
Kaitlyn loves to read. She'll spend hours looking at her books, as though she's trying to make out the words. It's amazing to watch our baby being such a good little girl.
Kaitlyn is such a loving little girl. She's so good with her please and thank yous, her sorry's, her hugs and kisses. She gets so excited to see those that love her so much.
As another month quickly comes to an end and another begins, I wonder if I'll have time to blink before her next birthday?
Kaitlyn is a bit of a grumpy butt today. She woke up with a cold and was not in the modd for anything but hugs and resting. She's all stopped up and very irritable!
This morning, we had dentist appointments! It was Kaitlyn's first and she was a bit hesitant to get into the chair. She did though and showed off her teeth! She was okay with the mirror in her mouth (my little diva) but nothing else. So, we have been referred to a pediatric dentist for an exam. Kaitlyn's teeth are coming in perfect the dentist said, the spacing is good, the sizes are good, they appear strong and healthy. All good news.
Kaitlyn fell asleep right after the appointment and is still asleep now. I'm hoping she is having dreams about beating that cold up! She seems to be resting comfortably, which is nice.
I have a passion for high density, loose eye shadow. I love the little pots of fun color. I store them in a heart shaped basket in the bathroom since I don't wear them every day. While I love them, they can be a bit messy and not quite as easy to use or wear as basic eye shadow. In the basic I have quite a few colors, turquoise, black, 4 different browns, a few different golds, purple, silver and so on. Well, I should say had.
While I was uploading video last night I thought Kaitlyn was watching the Woof Woof (Lady and the Tramp). That was until I went into the bathroom to get the last of my medication and discovered a mess! As it turns out, Kaitlyn really likes turquoise, gold and native sun brown loose eye shadow. It was everywhere! All over the floor, walls, clothes, robes, towels, and of course my princess. Kaitlyn had it all over her white sweater, white stockings, skirt, turtleneck and all over her face. It was a shimmery mess. She was so proud of herself and her pretty make-up until Mommy and Daddy reminded her of how bad it was. Believe me, it was hard not to laugh. She kept fluttering her eye lashes to show us everywhere it was!
We had to run a bath while Kaitlyn helped me clean up. Luckily we got it all off of her before a rash started, and I learned a very valuable lesson, ALWAYS lock the bathroom door.
In other news, it appears Kaitlyn has caught Daddy's virus that caused his eye infection. Kaitlyn has a cold sore. We are treating and watching it now to make sure it isn't bothering her. Her daddy feels terrible. For the next few days Kaitlyn isn't to be kissing on the lips, sharing drinks or utensils. Poor baby!
