Dear Diary

Can you believe that it's already the 18th!!!!

Time has just absolutely flown by.  This past week and weekend was so amazing.  I cannot believe that we fit in as much as we did!!

Friday night we hosted (along with Auntie Christina, Auntie Samanth and Uncle Scotty) hosted Grandma and Grandpa's 25th anniversary party at our house.  Kaitlyn was in her element.  She absolutely loves to be surrounded by people that are all paying attention to her!  Everyone was there, about 45 people in all, including Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Cami, Uncle Davey, Aunt Jamie and everyone else.

Kaitlyn and Cami were so cute.  They thrived with all those people around.  On more than one occassion, I saw Kaitlyn with her hand wrapped around Cami's dragging her from room to room and saying "Hi" and taking her to and from all of the food.

Friday night ended really late, but that didn't stop us from an early start on Saturday.  Saturday morning we loaded into the car with Auntie Christina and Grandma and headed to San Jose.  We spent over 7 1/2 hours shopping, shopping, shopping!  It was so much fun.

While we were at the mall, we saw Santa!  Since Kaitlyn has been so excited about him, we decided to give it another try.  Kaitlyn did great.  She was a little hesitant to sit on his lap, but did and smiled for a picture, which made mommy happy!  Kaitlyn was thrilled when he gave her a new book for being such a good girl.

Right after her busy meeting wtih Santa, Kaitlyn went straight to sleep and stayed that way for another hour of shopping and the entire drive home.

We got home, did some cleaning, a lot of wrapping and went to bed.

Sunday morning, Kaitlyn played with Daddy while Mommy went and did even more shopping.  Then, everyone headed to Grandma and Grandpa's.  While Grandpa and Daddy worked on Kaitlyn's Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa, Mommy, Grandma, Auntie Beth and Kaitlyn went out shopping for the rest of the presents.  Kaitlyn and I have our work cut out for us to get the presents all ready for Christmas, but I have faith!

Today we went and saw Nana at work and then headed to Home Depot.  Mommy finished up all of the Christmas cards so they can all be mailed out tonight, yippee!!

Tomorrow we are so excited, Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie and Uncle Joel are all coming over for a yummy pre-Christmas dinner.

I hope that everyone's holiday season thus far has been filled with love, warmth and wonderful warm fuzzies.  We love you!

We are officially in the Christmas spirit!  Kaitlyn has been helping me all week wrap presents.  She likes to put the bows on.  She hates folding the paper for some reason though!

Last night we went with Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Cami, Auntie Jamie and Uncle Joel to look at Christmas lights.  There were so many beautiful and well decorated houses.

One of the houses we went to had a really nice family at it.  They decorated the front of their house, the inside and the back yard.  The backyard was a winter wonderland of lights.  He gave tours of his house to everyone that pulled up.  We were there right before a rush.  Boy oh Boy Kaitlyn LOVED it!  She pointed out all the santa's!  There was a Santa inside that looked so real!  Kaitlyn wanted nothing to do with that Santa, but really enjoyed the others.

After that we headed to the street that has the most lights ever.  They have SOOO many lights on SOOO many houses!  It was really impressive!  We got out of the car and walked up and down the street where all of the houses were.  There were so many amazing houses.  One was done in palm trees and tiki bars and had an actual volcano!  Another decorated the inside of their garage to look like the north pole, had a river running through it and a lot of polar bears, seals and penguins dancing.  That house even had a ferris wheel in the front yard that Mickey and Minnie were riding!!  It was amazing.

After, we headed to Auntie Christy's for yummy candies and hot coco and a chance for the girl's to play.  They were pretty good to one another.  Kaitlyn noticed that Santa's favorite helpers, Auntie Christy and Uncle Dennis, had a huge pile of toys in the corner.  She wanted to play with them, but when I told her they were Santa's she was SUCH a good girl and didn't touch them.  Of course, she did take the Santa Oven mitt and carry it to the pile and say "Here Go santa!"  It was ADORABLE.

I hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday!  I really look forward to everything this season has to offer!

We're home and things are beginning to look a lot more normal. About 95% of the smoke smell is completely gone (YIPPEE!!) and all of our belongings are back where they belong.

We would like to thank Nana and Papa for opening their house to us so the ozone machine could do it's work. It's great to know that there is no limit to the places available for us to stay when we need to!

Kaitlyn is doing great. She had a great day at Speech therapy yesterday! The therapist said Kaitlyn is destined for Hollywood, she loves the microphone and all attention she receives.

Today Kaitlyn is getting her hair cut and we are heading to Grandma and Grandpa's for a bit!

Have a super duper day!

I don't have the layout here for Kaitlyn's website, so here is the latest Mervyn's ad! It's on the cover!

Well, we are still home.  We are patiently awaiting the arrival of the carpet/ozone cleaners to arrive so we can exit the house and office :)  Then we can head to Nana and Papa's to drop off our overnight things and get started an a SUPER busy and wonderful weekend!

Today, Kaitlyn went with daddy to the Doctor's office.  He has another eye infection :(  Poor daddy.  He is on lots more medicine and we hope he starts feeling better soon!

Kaitlyn made the front cover of Mervyn's ad today.  It isn't online yet and I haven't seen it :(  I'm sure Nana and Papa will have a copy and we'll pick one/some up on  the way and then I can scan and post it!  I hear it's a really cute ad!  We're all looking forward to the rest of the weekend so expect more updates soon!

Kaitlyn is growing so very fast.  Last night before she drifted off to sleep she said Night Night.  Not just to mommy and daddy, but "Night Night Mommy, Night Night Daddy, Night Night Archie, Night Night Grandma, Night Night Grandpa, Night Night Nana, Night Night Papa, Night Night light, Night Night Moon".  It was so incredibly cute and sweet to hear.

This evening we went with Auntie Christy, Cami and Nana to Jackson to see the beautiful Christmas display the Casino put on for the youngin's.  It was a long drive and on the way, Kaitlyn decided to sing "Twinkle Twinkle" to her.  Of course, she couldn't sing it properly if Cami wasn't looking so she said "Camaryn" over and over and moved her face so it was looking at her and then sang.  It was so precious.  We got to Jackson and the girls were so amazed and impressed with all of the beautiful lights.  It always amazes me and reminds me of how lucky I am to relive all of the joys and wonders of childhood through such a precious little girl.  The awe on her face was well worth the trip!

The girls had a great time playing and running through the kids area in the casino.  Before long they were well worn out and slept the whole ride back.  Kaitlyn insisted on holding onto Cami on the way back and was so good when Cami fell asleep first.  I am so proud of the friendship they have!

Tomorrow we will have to be away from home for 24 hours while our house is treated for smoke damage.  We will be having dinner at Auntie Christina's with Uncle Brian, Grandma and Grandpa!  It should be a blast!  After that...  Slumber party at Nana and Papa's!!  Get those jammies ready!

Have a great day!

Kaitlyn would like to wish Grandma and Grandpa a happy 25th Anniversary!!

Myspace Anniversary

12/5/06

We had a great weekend! The girl's had their pageant and did great, we spent time with all of the grandparent's and at grandma and grandpa's on Sunday.

Sunday night we came home to an Arson fire through our door and an attempted burglary. While the Police and Fire department are hard at work finding the culprit, I'm hard at work washing everything and trying to get rid of the smoke smell. I've decided Kaitlyn has WAY too many clothes lol!!

Yesterday Kaitlyn played and played with Cami at Nana and Papa's house. Those girls are getting so big and so smart so fast. I can't believe how time flies.

This morning, Kaitlyn's Gymboree ad was released. We are going to check in the stores tonight to see if there are displays there as well. Until then, you can click on the picture to see the ad :)

Yippee!!!

I'm going to check out the store today to see if they are in store as well!!!

Kaitlyn and Camaryn had their holiday pageant today.  Both girls were absolutely gorgeous in their beautiful holiday dresses.

Camaryn went first in the Baby Miss division.  She was amazing.  Camaryn went on the stage and completely owned it.  She smiled, waved and danced like crazy on the stage.  When it was time to exit the stage she waved bye to the judges and blowed kisses.  It wasn't a suprise to anyone when Cami won Miss Model.  And we were so proud and thrilled when our beautiful princess was crowned BABY MISS QUEEN!!  That's right, Cami won her entire age division!!

Kaitlyn's turn quickly came and she was so excited to go on stage.  Kaitlyn went on the stage filled with excitement and a strong urge to dance, jump and wave.  She was the perfect princess.  Kaitlyn loved every minute that she was the center of attention, which was no suprise to us!  Kaitlyn was crowned Miss Personality Plus!  She was also awarded the prestigious title of 1st Princess!!

Thank you so much to all of the AMAZING and INCREDIBLE family that not only came to see Kaitlyn and Cami and wished them well.  The girls' were applauded and encouraged by Grandma and Grandpa, Nana, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Mommy, Daddy, Auntie Joel, Uncle Jamie and of course eachother.  Papa had to work and was greatly missed.  It's amazing how great our family is to come together and support eachother has the do.  Thank you so incredibly much.

We are so proud of our little girls!!  They were perfect.  Later this evening I'll update with some pictures from both last night and after the pageant today.  Cami was asleep by the time Kaitlyn was finished (being Queen is hard and tiring work!) so we didn't get any pics of them together, but hope to this week in front of the Christmas Tree!

We hope everyone had an incredible weekend and are emerced in the holiday season!

12/2/06 PM

Well, we're home!  Today we went to Apple Hill with Daddy, Grandma, Auntie Christina and Uncle Brian.  Kaitlyn wore her new snow suit and snow boots and had a blast.  The first place we stopped at had a lot of nice clean snow.  Kaitlyn knew what it was instantly and kept yelling "snow, snow" while running in it.  She quickly learned the fun of making and throwing snow balls.  She had a blast and wasn't too thrilled about leaving.

Next, we hit the craft section and of course the Christmas Tree Farm.  We decided to buy one closer to home for easier transportation, but Auntie Christy and Uncle Brian picked out a very pretty one to take home.  Kaitlyn loved running around the trees, the soft clay and of course the cut outs of snow men.

It was a great day.  I'll have pics tonight.  Kaitlyn's napping, but when she wakes up she's getting her hair cut and we are going to get a tree!!

12/2/06

Well, it's official. The I's have been dotted and the T's have been crossed. Kaitlyn is officially a Ford Model. We signed her 3 year contract today! The Ford modeling agency is such a prestigious agency and we are so excited to start a business relationship with them.

Kaitlyn had speech therapy yesterday. The therapist, Miss Sarah, was really impressed with the improvements Kaitlyn has made in such a short time. She believes that her tongue being tied for so long attributed to a weak jaw and is working on that. She figured out that if she uses a microphone and allows Kaitlyn use of it as well, Kaitlyn will mimic everything which is a huge step. A lot of Kaitlyn's therapy involves horn therapy and chew therapy. Both work to strengthen her jaw.

Last night, I took Kaitlyn to see Santa. She was wearing a super cute "I Love Santa" shirt her Aunt Jamie got her. She was so adorable, people kept stopping to talk to her and she loved every minute of it. Every time we passed a picture or display of Santa she's excitedly point and say "Santa! Santa!" It was so cute. We were in line and she was so incredibly excited for her turn and kept cutting the other kids to see "Santa! Santa!" That was of course, until we got to Santa. Then, she wanted nothing to do with him! Of course, when we left, she was excited about "Santa! Santa!" all over again. So, of course, we'll try again another day.

Our main reason for heading to the mall was to pick up a snow suit for Kaitlyn. Today we are going to Apple Hill!! Yay!! We finally found her a super cute pink one and some matching boots. She's going to be a doll! We can't wait to go!

We've gotten most of our decorations up and displayed and now we just need our tree. If daddy is done working early today, he will be able to go with us to Apple Hill to pick one out! Keep those fingers crossed!

Kaitlyn has taken on a lot of responsibility lately. She has become a pro at taking care of Archie. If he is out of water, she brings us his dish and says "Waa Waa" and if he is out of food, she'll get his dish, open the closet his food is in, fill it and return it. If Archie is at the door to go potty, she'll bring us his leash. Of course, we're only allowed to put the leash on him, Kaitlyn gets to let him out and walk him. Luckily he's a really good boy. Kaitlyn has also decided she must be the advocate for the fishes. She does the cutest fish face and gets us to feed them before she goes to bed.

Kaitlyn has been doing soooo good in her big girl bed. We simply tell her night night and she gives us kisses, crawls into her bed, pulls the covers up high and goes to sleep! We really lucked out with her! I asked her to go to give Cami lessons to help Auntie Christy and I think she's considering it ;)

On Monday we are going to seriously begin the potty training. I know that if she'll just go once, she'll be easy after that, she'll do anything for applause.

Tomorrow is Kaitlyn and Cami's pageant. I love how close those two girls are. It's incredible to watch how excited they get to be around each other and how much they look out for one another. I know they will be lifelong friends! Be sure to wish them luck! We'll update as soon as we get back home!

11/30/06

Yesterday, Kaitlyn had a requested casting call for Mervyn's in-store. They were only seeing 5 kids in her age and she was the second one.

All of the babies had to try on the outfit and have their polaroid taken in it. Kaitlyn was the second girl.

On the way to SF, Kaitlyn drank a huge thing of milk. When we got there, I changed her out of her jammies and noticed she hadn't peed yet. When I was changing Kaitlyn into the outfit, I noticed again she hadn't peed, but didn't think much of it.

So, Kaitlyn was dressed and RAN to the X and started doing her thing. To get her to smile big, we did the "1... 2.... 3.... Jump" game where she jumps up. Well, she jumped, smiled big and jumped again. When she came back down, I noticed it. The puddle on the ground. Kaitlyn had peed through her diaper, through the clothes, through her socks and onto the ground. I had no idea what to do.

So, of course I told the women running the show and let them know. Well, there were still 3 other girls waiting. So, they had to wash and dry the pants while they waited. I felt so bad! So, we'll see if Kaitlyn gets it or not.

Kaitlyn woke me up before the sun this morning with a cough.  Hopefully it'll pass since we have a trip to Apple Hill Saturday and of course the pageant on Sunday!

Hugs and Kisses!

11/28/06 (Again)

I was just doing Kaitlyn's invoices and paperwork for her modeling.  Our little princess has been modeling for an entire year now and you wouldn't believe how many bookings she has had and been paid for!!

Kaitlyn has had a total of 41 bookings!!  Holy Moly!!  Those are all the ones she's been paid for.  Of those 34 have been Mervyn's!  Our girl's loved let me tell ya!!  And of course, she wasn't paid for the Independent Film, Fear of Flight!

Between her growing savings and the wonderful saving's bonds she really will have her college paid for by kindergarten!!  I was proud, so I thought I would share!

11/28/06

Howdy Howdy!  Our 2 year old princess had her well baby visit today!  She is 33 1/2 inches tall and 26 pounds!  Her head is 18 1/2 inches.  Every measurement fell exactly at 50% so she is completely normal!

We talked about Kaitlyn's recent aversions to textures.  Basically, when Kaitlyn eats lately, she gags a lot and shoves her hand down her throat as though she's trying to get something out.  Her doctor said it could be from the new molars she got in, her adjusting to them or from the cold she had when she got the ear infection.  His advice is to let it be for a couple weeks.  If she still has the problem, it is likely reflux, like she had as a baby.  He will prescribe zantac in two weeks if there is no improvement.  We are also going to ask her speech therapist if she may have developed an adversion to textures.

Next came shots!  Has soon as I started to lay her down, she started crying, big tears with "No Mommy, No No N-N-N-N-ooooooo"  She fought me and the nurse hard, but after all was done, she was fine and dandy!  She took a nice long nap.

Tomorrow, Kaitlyn has a go-see for the mervyn's in-store display job.  Wish her luck!  And we are hoping to come home and do some Christmas decorating!!

Kaitlyn and Cami also have their pageant this weekend so keep those fingers crossed!
