Yesterday was fairly uneventful. We played, we watched Finding Nemo 3 dozen times, did a little shopping and had a yummy dinner. All of a sudden, Kaitlyn LOVES chicken and will easily finish off an entire Chicken breast and veggies by herself, so that's what she had :) Today is going to be a lot like yesterday. We'll go to Home Depot in a bit, but mostly stay home. The first 5 days of the month make it really hard for me to leave the office. It's rent time and people need to sumbit their rent in person. I would like to thank everyone who visited Kaitlyn's site yesterday! It was one of the busiest she's had! There were 112 unique visitors, 85 who were returning visitors and a ton of page loads! Thank you so much for taking the time to see how the princess is doing! I do have new Video!! This is from New Year's Day! As always you can click below or visit the link on the front page to see more! 1/1/07
Welcome to the first story of 2007!!! ![]() I hope everyone had a very safe and very happy New Year's Eve! Yesterday morning we woke up and Kaitlyn began her day of playing. Kaitlyn has come to the realization that all toys and items serve two purposes; 1. What they were designed for and 2. What she wants them to be. While I was getting dressed, she decided that her ride on "bike" was also a ladder. She proceeded to climb atop the plastic bike so that she may wash her hands in the sink. Well, the plastic bike isn't designed to have 27 pounds stand on it and she managed to cut her big toe on it. She didn't cry at first, but I noticed she was being awfully quiet so I went and checked on her. There was blood all over the bathroom floor. When I asked where her owie was she began to cry like crazy. She cut her foot right in the bend of the big toe. It took about an hour to get both her quiet and the bleeding to stop. We learned that not all kids like bandaids and Kaitlyn's one of the ones that do not! From there we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's. Kaitlyn began walking and while it was not something to laugh at, it was cute. She didn't like the bandaid so she would try to walk just on the heels of both feet as she walked. Eventually she gave up and wanted to be carried, but after a little while she was back to normal. Kaitlyn went with Mommy, Grandma and Auntie Beth to do some shopping for Auntie Christy's New Year's party. Kaitlyn slept the entire time! When we got back, Daddy and Grandpa finished up working on her playhouse for the day and started to put things away. Kaitlyn gave me and her daddy kisses and then we headed out. Kaitlyn got to spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa! We are going to go and see her very soon! 2006 has been an amazing year. I do believe it has a lot to do with the amazing people Kaitlyn has in her life. Thank you so much to those that have been such important people in Kaitlyn's life. I can never fully express the gratitude that I feel or the warmness in my heart with words. I hope everyone is has blessed as we have been this past year. Have a WONDERFUL and INCREDIBLE 2007! 12/31/06
We have new video!! The first part of this video is Kaitlyn and I talking. The second part is where Kaitlyn was watching the TV, so I recorded her watching herself be recorded. You can also see the videos by clicking on the link of the front page. If this does not work for you, that probably will :)

So, on Wednesday, Kaitlyn would not stop saying "Camaryn Sponge Bob" it seriously got to the point where it was all I heard, over and over and over again. So, I grabbed the TV remote and used On Demand to put on an episode of Sponge Bob. Oh my gosh! This little girl started running around in circles screaming her head off and jumping every 3 steps. She was so excited. She actually sat still and let me brush her hair, I was thrilled! Of course, after a few minutes, we had to go and pick Daddy up. Kaitlyn of course started yelling "BYE SPONGE BOB" and was almost irritated he didn't respond back. So, she waited for him to get back on TV and gave him kisses. Then she blew kisses the entire way to the door. It was really cute. Last night, Kaitlyn went shopping with me after Daddy got home. She gave him kisses bye-bye and said "Luv You Daddy" it was heart warming. I hope everyone is enjoying the last couple days of the year! 12/28/06
I am proud to say it: We have video!! I've figured out some basics to the new camcorder (and LOVE it!!) and was able to upload some video this evening. You can see it below, and it's also visable if you go to the link on the front page! Enjoy! 12/27/06
Just thought I would share a funny story. Kaitlyn's cousin Camaryn loves Sponge Bob. She likes the song, she likes the character, she likes sponge bob. She gets so cute and excited when she sees him or hears her mommy sing the song. Since Yesterday, Kaitlyn has been running around saying "Mommy?" I say "yes" and then she starts with "Camaryn Sponge Bob" as though that is her new name. She'll yell and squel it over and over with so much excitement. So, I pointed out a picture of Camaryn and asked, "Who is that" and she responded with "Camaryn Sponge Bob" so sorry Cami, but evidently, Chloe is no longer your middle name! Kaitlyn has really been enjoying all of her new toys. She keeps coming up to us with her stethescope and trying to check our hearts. Well, sometimes she checks our chest but sometimes she checks our feet. Someone's been watching way too much Little Mermaid. Kaitlyn also decided to get out of bed at midnight last night with one goal on her mind: Rollerskate. She did so well at the skating rink that she assumed she could just naturally do it at home. So, she pulled out the skates Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn got her and put them on her feet and try to stand up. She got stuck. So, I ran in when she started yelling "Mommy, Help, Stuck" over and over. If she hadn't of been so stressed, it would have been adorable! On a somber note, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies with Uncle Danny and Evelyn. Uncle Danny's brother passed away and will be forever remembered and missed. We also wish Uncle Ray warm thoughts and hope that the bad weather passes him quickly. We love and miss him very much and want to see him soon! Have a wonderful day everyone! 12/27/06
I have an amazing friend my the name of Karren. Karren is incredibly talented, far more than I think she realizes. Yesterday, I received a suprise package in the mail from her and was thrilled with the contents. Karren sent me these beautiful 8x10s and I'd love to share them so everyone can see how incredible they are: ![]() ![]() ![]() 12/26/06
Another day has come and gone and we continue to get closer and closer to 2007. Today was a good day. I was able to get down a good chunk of Christmas decorations. I love when they are up, they are so cheerful, but I don't like having a to-do list so I try to take care of as much as possible as soon as possible. Kaitlyn got all of her presents taken care of. They are all out of the packaging and about 98% are put away. We will be going through Kaitlyn's toys very soon to give to charity to ensure there is room for everything. As of yesterday, Kaitlyn was burnt out on opening presents. At least, I thought she was, turns out that she just needed a short break. Today, she opened her presents from her Cousin Hope and had a blast. She tore into the paper and immediatly demanded that her new doll house be put together so she could begin playing with it. Thank you so much Hope for your generous and thoughtful gift, Kaitlyn loves it. Kaitlyn attempted to leave a comment on on Hope's page but she couldn't access it, so with any luck, she'll see it here :) Kaitlyn also received a very generous gift from her Aunt Theresa and Uncle Johnny! Thank you so very much. Only a few more days until 2006 is a distant memory and 2007 is where the fun begins! 12/26/06
I can't believe it's over and 2007 is less than a week away. We had an incredible Christmas. It was everything I could have ever hoped for. Kaitlyn slept until 9:30, when Daddy finally woke her up. Disheveled, but oh so excited, she hurried down the stairs to discover what Ol' St. Nick had left her. She was suprised and excited to see her brand new drum set and car. She ran to both, unsure of what to play with first. She handled the drums like an ol' pro. She loved them. She then took her drumsticks to her car and started driving around in it like she was at the Outlaw races. Kaitlyn was so excited, she didn't seem to pay much attention to the mound of presents that was left under the tree for her. She did happily pass out her presents to Daddy and watch him open his, but it was almost a struggle to get her to open them! As she started, she couldn't be stopped. She loved everything. She hugged her clothes, serenaded Elmo, and put everything else in the car for a ride. We all got dressed and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's. We spent time with them, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Reid, Auntie Samantha, Uncle Davey, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Scotty, Aunt Beth, Uncle Paul, Cousin Felecia and Great Grandma Mauda. Kaitlyn was done with opening presents, but there was a huge mound that needed tackling. She demanded that first, 101 Dalmations was put on in "her" room and then she would begin 1 at a time. Just as Christmas Eve, everyone did way too much. The generosity of our families is amazing. Some of Kaitlyn's favorites were her new house from Grandma and Grandpa, along with her new chair, Her cool tunnel from Auntie Samantha and Uncle Davey, her V-tech and games from Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian and Reed, her new clothes and baby from Aunt Beth, Uncle Paul and Felecia, her neat Pet Hospital from Uncle Scotty and Aunt Jamie, and her shopping cart from Great Grandma. It would be impossible to list everything Kaitlyn has gotten in the last two days. Let me just say, she is one happy child and 3 trips with the Jeep completely loaded down has yet to bring everything here! Kaitlyn's mommy and daddy were pretty spoiled too. Daddy got new tires, a new grill, Mommy got new clothes and a purse and together they both got an amazing video camera from Grandma and Grandpa that will ensure plenty of video from the princess is here everyday! We spent the evening with Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Cousin Cami, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Dean and Sasha! Kaitlyn had a lot of fun! My goal is to update all of the new pictures today, so check back later tonight! We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and looks forward to the New Year!! 12/24/06
Who could have asked for a better Christmas Eve? This afternoon was spent relaxing and bonding with Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Uncle Scotty, Aunt Beth, Cousin Felecia and her new doggie Odie. There were lots of yummy treats and a good time had by all. Kaitlyn opened a present from Auntie Christina's friend Melanie and had a lot of fun playing with her new toy, a doodle bear. We spent the later part of the afternoon and evening at Nana and Papa's. We were met by Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Cousin Camaryn, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Dean and their puppy Sasha. After a delicious dinner of ham, turkey and all the side dishes you can imagine, a very Jolly visitor showed up! Santa paid a special visit to the girl's to ensure they were having a good time. It was awfully nice of him to visit on such a busy day. Santa got the presents started. There isn't much those girls didn't get. Kaitlyn had a blast opening her presents and for a while, I thought it would never end. Thank you so much to everyone for your incredible generoisity and thoughtfulness in Kaitlyn's gifts. I know she is going to enjoy them for quite some time. Some of Kaitlyn's favorites were: A super cool Choo-Choo rocker and custom charm bracelet from Auntie Christy and Uncle Dennis, the giggle Elmo Chair from Nana and Papa, and an awesome pig pillow from Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean (she's sleeping with it now!) There were so many amazing gifts we couldn't fit them all in the car with us! We feel so blessed that we have so many amazing people to share this wonderful time of year with. Thank you all so much for not only your gifts, but more importantly your friendship and your love. Without you this holiday season could not possibly be what it is. Kaitlyn is now asleep and I believe Santa just left, so it's time for us to get to bed. I am sure there will be plenty of pictures soon. We love you and wish you the merriest of Christmas's!!!! 12/24/06
As you can see from the pictures, Kaitlyn had a blast decorating her Gingerbread house. The only part I did was put it together and add the frosting, Kaitlyn put all the candy on all by herself! After every two or three pieces she would get so excited she would run to me and give me a big hug. It was a lot of fun. Kaitlyn wouldn't even eat the candy until she was finished. If I offered her "bite" she would shake her head, take it from me and carefully add it to her house. While we decorated, Daddy put together Kaitlyn's gift from Santa! We are both so excited for her to see it! It's going to be a magical Christmas morning! Today we have a VERY busy day planned. We are going to load up a gazillion or so presents into the car, head to Grandma and Grandpa's, visit with Great-Grandma, and everyone else then head to Nana and Papa's. There we get to see everyone including Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dean! Tonight we well leave out Santa's cookies and tomorrow morning we'll see all that he brought! I cannot wait! Have a very Merry Christmas Eve!! 12/23/06 What an amazing day!! This morning I headed out and picked up Kaitlyn's gift from Santa! Daddy is putting it together now to save a project from being done tomorrow. We spent most of the day at Grandma and Grandpa's while Daddy worked on Kaitlyn's Christmas present from them. We're home now and Kaitlyn and I are getting ready to decorate a gingerbread house. She's going to love it! I wanted to share Kaitlyn's letter to Santa: Dear Santa, This year I have been a very good girl. I had a lot of fun modeling and being in pageants with my cousin Camaryn. I signed with Ford modeling and had over 40 jobs this year, including a TV show for Japan, a movie and pictures for stores like Gymboree, Mervyn?s and Pottery Barn. When I did my pageants I won a lot of trophies! I?ve learned a lot too Santa! I learned how to open and close doors, jump really high off the ground, go up and down the stairs by myself, roller-skate and I even try riding my bike all the time! I learned all the animal sounds and all my body parts, Elbow is my favorite! I gave myself my own chore! I am in charge of Archie. I make sure he has food and water all the time and sometimes I feed him the prettiest pieces by hand. This year I got to do so many things for the first time. I rode in an airplane, I got my hair cut, I went to see Disney on Ice, I got in the Ocean, I had my first cookie, and I got to blow out my birthday candles all by myself! I?ve had so much fun with my family this year Santa! We got to go so many places! We visited family in Alabama, Monterey and even San Jose! We went on trips to the zoo, the snow and the ocean! I even got to play with my cousin Camaryn a whole lot! It was the bestest year ever! All I want for Christmas is for everyone I love to have a happy Christmas and a perfect New Years! No uh-ohs allowed! I love you very much! Love, Kaitlyn ( a very nice girl) I do hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas!! 12/22/06
Kaitlyn enjoyed her first Candy Cane tonight. It was Cherry flavored and left her SUPER happy!! Here are some pictures: If you don't want to sit through the slideshow, I uploaded the same pictures to the picture section :) 12/22/06
It's funny, even though I've been doing a countdown for Christmas, I still can't believe how quickly it's snuck up on me!! With Kaitlyn's help, all the presents are wrapped and under the tree. The stockings are awaiting all the goodness of Santa and his magic, all of our Christmas cards have been sent out and we went yesterday to mail out a bunch of presents all over the country. We hope they all reach their destination in time! There are still things I really want to get done for the princess, but who knows when. I still need to do Kaitlyn's pictures in her jammies in front of the tree. There are actually about 5-6 different pictures I REALLY want to capture before Christmas. Kaitlyn's super awesome gift from Santa is set for delivery today. We won't be here, so I have already planned my trip for UPS tomorrow. I am so excited to see the look on her face when she goes down the stairs and sees it in front of the tree. Kaitlyn's TMX Elmo arrived yesterday as well. I think she's going to love it. We took it out of the packaging while she was napping and turned it on, so when she opens it he's ready for play! We did that with most of her presents. We are truly looking forward to a very merry holiday weekend and wish everyone the very best of the season. All our love, Dusty, Denise and Kaitlyn
