Kaitlyn never ceases to amaze me.  There are some days when I am so shocked by how much she knows.  She knows all of her letters, writing, recognizing and knowing the sounds they make.  She knows addition and subtraction, and Daddy is working on multiplication with her.  I know that she is on the verge of reading, I wouldn't be surprised if she was reading by the end of summer.  She knows many states, all the days of the week, the order they go in, what each kind of money is, how to get home from almost anywhere, and so much more.  She just absolutely impresses me.

She has started using some fantastic manners and is so well behaved the majority of the time.  She has a heart of gold and is constantly wanting to help someone with something, if it's calling them to cheer them up, giving things to those that don't have, making cards or taking care of bugs or animals.  We have been incredibly blessed.

We have been pretty busy!  In the last two weeks we've been to a couple Sunday dinners, Nana's house, the circus, ball games, Grandma's work and doing a whole lot around the house and in the Garden!  Daddy left for Colorado on Thursday morning, and we leave on Tuesday to meet him!  So, we're going to take and then upload plenty of pictures before, during and after!

We have a lot planned for the rest of this month, through next month!  It's going to be an amazing Summer, the countdown for Kindergarten is on!!

Thank you SO much! The only thing that would make this birthday even more special, is if we could celebrate it with you!

Can you believe we're already into June!  I feel like time is really flying by!

Kaitlyn went back to see Dr. Kono last night.  Her coughing wasn't getting any better.  She got an inhaler :(  She is now on Singulair, a cough medicine, eye drops, nasal spray and the inhaler and seems to be a lot more comfortable.  There is still a bit of a cough, but not as bad or as constant.

On Friday we met Dorin, Nicole, Dominick and itty bitty baby Isaiah at John's Incredible Pizza.  We had a ton of fun.  Of course, the fun ended when my cell phone went missing.  :(

Most of our weekend was spent relaxing and resting up :)  It was great!

Tomorrow, Kaitlyn graduates from Preschool.  She's getting to be so big!!!

What a weekend.

On Friday, Kaitlyn paid a visit to Dr. Kono.  She is up to 38.4 pounds!  So, she's about the 55th percentile.  We discussed her nagging cough.  Dr. Kono thinks it is asthma.  So, she is on singulair to see if that helps.  We're giving it 2 weeks and then we might be headed towards an inhaler :(  Poor baby!  I'll be thrilled when she can sleep through the night without coughing.

After the doctor's we headed to Auntie Christina and Auntie Sammie's house to help them gather things for the yard sale.  After we went grocery shopping, we headed back where Auntie Sammie made yummy turkey lasagna.

Saturday morning kicked of with a yard sale!  Then it was time for William's 5th birthday party!  Kaitlyn had a blast and was not too eager to go home!

Sunday we started off with a trip to the cemetery.  The grass is looking awful :(  It needs to be watered every day so I need to rearrange my schedule to make that happen.

After, Daddy went to Grandma and Grandpa's and ended up helping with the yard sale while we headed to Beau's 1st birthday party!  Kaitlyn had a ton of fun and then it was time to head back to Sacramento.  We went back to Auntie Sammie and Auntie Christina's (and the Uncle's lol!) house for tacos!

Monday we had an awesome time BBQ'ing and swimming with family and friends!  It was a good time.  :)

Kaitlyn had a dentist appointment today.  She was so good. She sat there the entire time and did x-rays, a tooth cleaning and a flouride treatement.  Not a single cavity in her mouth, not even close to any tarter, perfect oral hygiene and no need to return for at least a year!  Kaitlyn earned 2 toys, a Mountain Mike's pizza, and a new tooth brush with coloring book!

In sadder news, one of our dear friend's family was struck by tragedy this weekend.  Daphne's sister was involved in a head on collision, killing her fiance and 2 year old daughter.  Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Holy Moly!  I've been wanting to update almost every day, but it has been so busy!!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!  On Saturday we headed to the Mooselodge for the Mad Hatter Tea party.  Kaitlyn dressed up like Alice and had a blast!  We were joined by Grandma, Great Grandma Mauda, Auntie Christina and quite a few kids and grown-ups.

After we finished up there, it was time to go home and get some work done for Mother's day!  We hosted dinner for the mom's in our lives and had a lot of prep work to do.

Sunday morning we started by going to the cemetery to tend to Matthew's site.  It's the closest we got to all being together for Mother's Day.

When we got home, Daddy and Kaitlyn helped me get everything ready for dinner.  Daddy made tri-tip and chicken.  Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul, Auntie Barbara, Uncle Dean, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel and Carmen all came over for some fun and food!

It was a good Mother's Day!

That week flew by!  Since Kaitlyn had minimum days at school, she stayed with Uncle Dean and Auntie Barbara through the week and had so much fun!  On Monday Kaitlyn had her parent teacher conference.  It went wonderfully!  Kaitlyn has learned so much this year.  She's great at her letters, numbers, shapes, showed off some of her adding and subtracting skills, is so close to full on reading, one of the most well liked kids in the class, incredibly well behaved and has already passed most of the requirements for finishing kindergarten, much less starting it!  She's done great!

This past Friday we headed up to Monterey.  Auntie Sammie (and Uncle Davey) graduated from CSU Monterey Bay!  Huge congratulations to both of them!  We had a ton of fun in Monterey even though it was so warm, especially for the area!!

On Monday, Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey moved back to Sacramento!!  Yay!!  Kaitlyn (and the rest of us) are thrilled.

While they were busy doing that, Kaitlyn and I were in the hospital with Nicole and Dorin while Dominick became a big brother.  Kaitlyn witnessed it all and the nurses were all so impressed with how well behaved the kids were!  Kaitlyn can now say she watched a baby be born into the world :)  It was a beautiful sight and both Mommy and baby Isaiah are doing great!  We're so proud of them!

This week has been fun!  Kaitlyn got to stay home with Daddy yesterday since he was sick.  We've had ball games, trips to Chuck E. Cheese and running errands.

Tomorrow, Kaitlyn is headed to the doctor to have her lungs checked again.  It sounds like the same cough she had with bronchitis is back, and has been for a couple weeks.  We want to be sure it isn't or hasn't escalated.  We're also going to discuss Kaitlyn's intense seperation anxiety that she is experiencing again.

Saturday we're having a yard sale and going to William's 5th Birthday party!  Sunday we're headed to Beau's birthday!  Monday we're having a small BBQ and pool party!

We're going to have such a busy weekend, but it'll all be worth it :)

05/10/09

May has been such a busy month already, and we're only 10 days into it!

The first weekend of May started with me going and watching Kayla in the Gingerbread pageant!  I was SOOO proud of how fantastic she did!  While I was there photographing away, Kaitlyn was with Grandma having a blast watching movies, shopping and painting her nails!  Sunday we headed to the cemetery before Sunday dinner at Nana and Papa's house.

This week has brought a trip to Fairy Tale Town with Hope, a swimming play date with her friends Hailey, Ashley, Hunter, Dominick and Aiden.  I thought it was cold but they had so much fun!  We went to Daddy's ball games, did a lot of shopping and searching for the perfect Mother's Day presents!

On Friday we started with Kaitlyn's Mother's Day surprise at her school.  It was really cute and sweet.  But, I figured out why Kaitlyn had such a rough time at school this week.  The song they sang was associated with a story where a mommy really loves her son, but she gets old and dies.  Being as how Kaitlyn already has issues with death and her parents, so it all clicked together.

From there we had Mommy Kaitlyn day.  We went shopping, relaxed and then headed to the mall to met Auntie Christy, Camaryn, Auntie Jamie and Carmen.  The girls took pictures together and they turned out soo good!

From there we headed home, planted some more flowers and Kaitlyn swam.  It was a good day :)

Yesterday we headed to the Moose Lodge for the Mother's day Mad Hatter tea party.  Kaitlyn dressed as Alice and enjoyed all the sweet comments while we were shopping on the way :)  I have pictures to share soon :)

Today, we are hosting Mother's Day dinner for the special mommies in our family!  Kaitlyn is super excited.  Of course I think she plans on swimming the day away....

Have a wonderful week!

A Conversation between me and Kaitlyn:

Me: "Kaitlyn are you cleaning your room." Kaitlyn "No" Me "You better clean" Kaitlyn "Do you know what I'm doing? I'm reading my God book to learn about God and Jesus."

Now, how can I punish her for not cleaning her room with an excuse like that!

Can you believe that we are already into May!  I cannot fathom where time has gone!

Last week and weekend were so busy and so amazing!!  As you can see by pictures we were incredibly blessed to be surrounded by a lot of incredible people.

On Wednesday we had a playdate with Hope, Beau, Kayla and Dylan in the backyard enjoying the pool and super hot weather!  We had a bunch of mermaids out there!!

On Thursday we went to Daddy's game and then went home to get ready for all of the excitment of the week!!

Friday we met up with Savannah, Sawyer and of course their mommy and daddy, Auntie Jamie and Carmen for a day at Fairytale Town and Funderland.  The kids had so much fun!  There was a ton of playing and playing.

Friday night we had dinner with Savannah, Sawyer, Mike and Penny.  Daddy made his yummy chicken and it was perfect!  The kids played like crazy and had so much fun.

Saturday was the March for Babies!  We had over 70 people show up to walk for our team and raised about $8000!!!  Thank you so much for all of your support and hard work.  I am so thankful to everyone that put in so much time and effort to raise money for babies everywhere, the websites looked and sounded great and really encouraged so many to donate!

After the march we came home for a BBQ.  Too bad it wasn't a little warmer to go swimming.  We had so much fun!  I'm so glad that everyone came over.

On Sunday we headed to Discovery Kingdom (formerly known as Marine World) with Mike, Penny, Savannah and Sawyer.  It was SOOOO much fun.  Except for my bright idea to go on the water ride :P

Sunday night the wonderful Trepp family headed to their next location.  We are so grateful and honored that they came up to march and already miss them!

Monday was back to work and life as "normal" lol!  On Tuesday we had a playdate with Kayla and Dylan while comcast fixed our cable.  The girls played dress up and looked so cute!

Last night and tonight we headed to Daddy's ball games :)  They were both nice and early so we could enjoy them.

We have an action packed weekend coming up!  Look for some new pictures and updates next week!!

04/22/09

We're down to the final days before March for Babies!!  If you haven't donated already, be sure to check out marchforbabies.com/kaitlynreagan and make your donation today!  Every dollar counts to help babies be born healthy!

Things have been really hectic around here!  Saturday we had a yard sale that went fantastic!  We followed it up by having Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Billy, Sunny and Awana over for dinner and to watch the UFC fight!  While the fight was dissappointing, the food was not :)  Dusty is such a great cook!

On Sunday, Kaitlyn and Dusty were in the pool by 10 AM!  I thought it was much to freezing, but they weren't bothered at all by it.  I went to a meeting and they spent the next several hours swimming.  When I came home we headed to the cemetery and then Grandma and Grandpa's for Sunday dinner!

On Monday we had the golf tournament for CPOF.  Kaitlyn was my assistant photographer and minus one mishap where she took off in my golf cart and hit a tree it was a great day!  We received a very generous donation from the board of directors for the March of Dimes.

Yesterday was Nana's birthday!  Kaitlyn had school then play time with Hailey before we headed to the mall and Walmart.  Nana, Papa, Auntie Barbara, Uncle Dean, Auntie Jamie and Carmen all came over for dinner and Dusty grilled up some yummy food.  Nana got sick before it was time to eat, do cake and presents so hopefully she is feeling better today!

We hope eveyone is enjoying this gorgeous weather!!!
