Kaitlyn Reagan - Dear Diary Page 40

Kaitlyn has been so cute today! I had to go to a Safety Meeting at work today so I took her with me. It's about 45 adults in a room listening to why you check a ladder for grease before using it and why you don't touch someone elses blood and put it in your eye. Silly, common sense things like that. Kaitlyn did really good.

We got there early and Kaityn of course said HI! to everyone! Well, I was feeding her grapes (she LOVES fruit) and as she finished one she would say "more" like always. Well, each time I would give her one she would say "Aaankk UUU" It was so cute! She has the best manners!

During the meeting she was blowing kisses to everyone, waving and being such a good girl in her stroller. She handed me her pen and paper to draw her a picture. I drew her a cat and she began saying "meow" over and over to it and petting it. The best part was when she gave the pad a paper a big hug.

Hello everyone! Kaitlyn and family has had a really busy weekend and are enjoying a "normal" day.

As I've already updated, Kaitlyn filmed her role on Saturday. I am researching how we can get a copy to own. The Japanese title of the show is: Sekai Gyoten News!

Sunday was Father's Day. Kaitlyn got to spend the day with the most important father's in her life. The morning started with Kaitlyn pressing her itty bitty hands into clay for gifts for both Granpda and Papa. She had already had her portrait taken for them.

Then, Kaitlyn woke daddy up with a big kiss. After we were all ready we went to Hometown Buffet for breakfast. We met Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Cami! We enjoyed a nice big breakfast of yummy food! We also learned that little Cami is already taking her first steps, 9 at one time!! I can't wait to see it!

After breakfast we headed to the mall. Auntie Christy had something to take care of so we went with Daddy to Suncoast, his favorite place ever! Papa got new movies and then we went to the jewelry stores. Kaitlyn has her eyes on a few things and her birthday is coming up!

When Auntie Christy finished her errands we headed to the funnest place in Roseville, Golf Land Sun Splash. Poor Kaitlyn was asleep when we got there, so she took a power nap. Kaitlyn, her Daddy, Papa, Uncle Dennis and I all played a round of golf. When Kaitlyn woke up, she was ok in the stroller for a couple of holes, then she realized we were playing her favorite game, so she started to help her mama! She putted the ball like a champ. After a few taps it didn't go quite to the hole, but past it so she picked the ball up and ran it to the hole!!

After that Kaitlyn went inside with Nana, Auntie Christy and Cami to play some fun arcade games and enjoy yummy pizza!

Following Golf Land we loaded into the car and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house! Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Scott, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul, Cousin Felecia and Brian were all already there. Grandma even set up Kaitlyn's very own pool in the backyard for Kaitlyn to swim in! She had so much fun and we have a lot of pictures to update with today!

Kaitlyn loved playing in her room at Grandma's, and really loved dinner. She even got to have a little bit of lemon pie, which she of course loved!

By 9, it was way past Kaitlyn's bed time and she was sleepy so we headed home. She had so much fun this weekend and with the 108 degree heat we are expected, she will probably spend a lot of time inside. She tans so easily. She has been wearing a constant, thick application of SPF 65 (with our family history's we want to ensure we are protecting Kaitlyn in every possible way) and still has a golden tan to match her shimmery blonde hair, that is growing like crazy!! She's our California Girl, a pure movie star even at 1 1/2!

This week, Kaitlyn's daddy and I are joining a gym. Kaitlyn is going to be a member too! They have a lot of fun activities for Kaitlyn's age and I'm sure she'll LOVE playing with everything they have while her daddy and I get strong!

We have a lot planned this week with all of the birthdays and extravaganzas scheduled so look for many more pictures and updates!

I nearly forgot to show everyone the pictures! We finally went and picked these up on Friday. We had them done in May before Samantha and David moved and I think they turned out pretty good!

We arrived on set (a private residence that was stunning) this morning for Kaitlyn's Television debut in Japan.

The studio teacher was the same as for Picture People and recognized the beautiful Kaitlyn right off the bat!

Kaitlyn did really good for the first 3 1/2 hours. By the very end she was spent. She didn't do well for the family portrait, but she wasn't alone.

The show is called "The World's Astonishing News" and it airs weekly in Japan. The basis of the show is that it is based on true events that are re-inacted. This particular episode is based on a woman who was on her second marriage. She had 2 children from a previous marriage and quads that were toddlers. The older kids were at school when the woman was playing with the toddlers. She was killed in her home them there.

The show will air in Japan on July 12. It will be available as a rental in a Japanese Video Store in Japan Town in San Fran. As soon as I can get a copy I'll gladly upload it so you can all see her!

Afterwards, we went to the mall and Kaitlyn cried to ride the carosel and this time, she didn't get scared and seemed to really love it!!

Then, we went by Grandma and Grandpa's before heading over to cousin Felecia's party. Kaitlyn was so excited and happy to get to the party and did so good!! She was a total ham and even said her name for the first time!!

She will be on a series called "The World's Most Astonishing News". The plot is of a woman who gives birth to quadruplets that have no similarities at all. Kaitlyn is one of the quads. We are packing her bags now since they ask us to provide her wardrobe (luckily she has WAY too much to chose from) and will be leaving at 6:30 AM to drive to San Rafeal, or rather a city near it.

I'm sure Kaitlyn will do great! She went shopping with me today for gifts for all of the important daddy's in her life and was amazing. Everyone ooohhhhed and aaawwwed her, and she loves that attention. She made a few new friends and was the belle of the mall!

Great news for Kaitlyn!! Kaitlyn is already a movie star having filmed her first movie in May with pick up shots and a reshoot scheduled July 1. And Kaitlyn has already had National Fame with all of her Ads for Mervyn's and Red Envelope. Kaitlyn has even had International Print ad fame with the Red Envelope ads.

Now, Kaitlyn can have International Stardom with her latest booking! On Saturday Kaitlyn is booked to shoot a Japanese Television Show!!!! Congratulations Princess!!

Kaitlyn was called by her agency just a few moments after that to be booked for a Mervyn's ad for tomorrow morning!! She is back to being a busy little girl!!

Well, as of Saturday another month will have passed and Kaitlyn will be in her last of the teen months. That's right, she'll be 19 months old!

Kaitlyn still loves Archie. They have learned to play together much better. They both love to play tug of war, sometimes Archie wins and sometimes Kaityn wins. Archie has learned that if something is out of his reach, Kaitlyn will gladly get it for him. Kaitlyn has learned not to share her food with Archie and now gets upset if he tries to get it.

When Kaitlyn gives "luv" she now pats your back when she hugs you. She does the same to her stuffed animals and babys and says "is oa" which means: "it's okay"

Kaitlyn is anything but shy. She likes to be right in the middle of anything going on. She finds herself a group of kids, regardless of age, and helps them with whatever they are doing. An example is at daddy's games, she'll find the 5-10 year olds trying to catch frogs and jump right in there to help!

You can say anything to Kaitlyn and she understands what you are saying. I'm suprised by how much she has picked up without being told. Like what flowers are, or pointing out a chair instead of a couch, even the difference between the kitchen table and the coffee table.

Kaitlyn can match her colors really well now. Which is great for hooking up video cables. Whenever her and I go up or down the stairs we count, now that she can go up and down the stairs herself she tries to count as well. She loves the ABC song and tries to sing it with you, it's too cute.

Kaitlyn has gotten really good at holding hands when we are out and about. All you have to say is "hand" and 90% of the time she'll run to you with her hand up. Sometimes, she'll be the one to say hand with her hand up.

Kaitlyn loves to draw. She draws circles and scribbles in every color imaginable. Her favorite so far is blue. She will draw the exact same design over and over in a different color to create some pretty works of art. Markers are her favorite. I'll try to get some of her artwork on here soon!

Kaitlyn loves her cousin Cami. She tries to share everything with her, toys, water, food, everything but her special chair. That's only Kaitlyn's. She gets so excited if Camaryn comes in. I can't wait until Cami is walking so they can be on even ground!

Kaitlyn's modeling career is doing great! She is working on an Independent Film called Fear of Flight. As soon as I get our copy I will post it so everyone can see it. Kaitlyn also just had another casting call for Pottery Barn Kids, the Holiday Catalog. The shoot dates are still a month or two away, but they like to be prepared. Kaitlyn was booked for the Story Book Heirlooms Holiday Catalog, but Story Book cancelled the entire shoot for the time being.

She is an amazing little girl. She is learning so much every day. She now knows all of her body parts (including her elbows and other detailed parts), counts to three and understands nearly everything we say. She is starting to talk a bit more every day.

Kaitlyn is incredibly advanced when it comes to her physical accomplishments! She already knows how to ride a tricycle and insists that her helmet is on before she rides. We are going to go and get her one a bit smaller so she can ride it easier.

Kaitlyn LOVES to slide. She goes up and down the big kid's slide. She isn't scared of anything!

Kaitlyn adores her little cousin Cami. She plays with her and shares her toys really good with her. Kaitlyn loves playing with kids of all ages. It's her favorite thing to do!

Kaitlyn's first favorite thing is playing. Her second favorite thing is getting in trouble. She knows right from wrong. When she goes to do wrong, she gets a silly smile. If she hears no, she'll usually stop which I am grateful for!

Summer already seems to be passing too quickly. Kaitlyn's already been to 2 fairs, 2 different zoos, Fairy Tale Town, Funderland, boating and so much more. We are really enjoying the beautiful weather!

Kaitlyn's career is really taking off. She has been put on hold to shoot the Story Book Heirlooms catalog. She's meeting with Pottery Barn next week to see which catalog she'll do for the holiday catalogs they distribute, and of course, she's filmed a movie!! She will be doing some pick-up shots and such the first weekend of July. She will be doing a pageant for fun as well!

We just got an e-mail from the director of "Fear of Flight" with a thank you and some comments about Kaitlyn I thought I would share:

"Kaitlyn and the Miller family. What a precious little gem you have for
a daughter. She is already quite an actress....totally gave me what I
needed...when I needed. Amazing...it was like she was reading my mind. :~)"

" I HAVE BEEN ON LOTS OF SHOOTS, BUT NONE WITH SUCH AN ENTIRELY INCREDIBLY NICE GROUP OF PEOPLE AND ALL SO TALENTED TOO!! I THOUGHT SAM, COURTNEY, THE BABY--EVERYONE ELSE WERE AMAZING.! MUCH, MUCH TALENT THERE. "

It looks as though the film will debut at the Sacramento International Film Festival in August. As I get more details, I'll gladly share so anyone interested in seeing Kaitlyn on the big screen at The Crest Theater is able to!

I am feverishly working on Kaitlyn's pageant swim suit and nearly finished. I must say that I am pretty proud of it. As soon as Kaitlyn wakes from her nap, I'll put her in it for a couple of pictures to share!

Kaitlyn's Debut as a Movie Star!!

Kaitlyn made her film debut this morning! She played 3 characters in a short independent film called "Fear of Flight"

The first two roles were both of homeless babies. She played the mirror image of herself in a daydream scene, and a homeless baby of a woman begging for change.

Kaitlyn was made to look dirty with a bit of Hershey's baking coco powder. This is the closest thing to chocolate Kaitlyn has ever had.

Everyone was really impressed with Kaitlyn. She let her "homeless mom" hold her and helped her get money by being really pitiful looking. She stared right into the other character's eyes and did a huge pouty lip. She did the same as the mirror image. Each scene required about 10 takes and she did amazing through each one. Not once did she reach out for Dusty or I or did she fuss. Everyone kept saying she was a director's dream. I overheard her the director saying that "I took one look at her head shot and had to cast her."

The next was the younger sibling of the main character. By this time she was upset and fussed. However, it was ok because the scene benefited from it. She worked her 4 hours and left with a standing ovation about what a natural she was.

Dusty and I were so incredibly proud.

This is Kaitlyn on break. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of her with the first scene and the first homeless family.

Then, we headed over to the Marina so we could go out on the boat with my parents, siblings, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and Dusty's parents. It was a perfect day to be on the river and we all had so much fun! Look at all the pictures we took!!

Yesterday we had some family pictures taken. Somehow, we managed to get my parents, sisters, brother, David, Dusty, Kaitlyn and I all in one picture! I can't wait to get them back! That was of course after a morning of shopping for materials to embellish Kaitlyn's pageant swimsuit with! She is going to be GORGEOUS!! I can't wait!

Saturday evening we went with Kaitlyn's Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy and cousin Cami to the county fair and had so much fun!! We got so many pictures of the girls riding their first amusement park rides. Kaitlyn loved the baby animals, and of course running wild! Here are even more pictures of that!!

Needless to say, we are all exhausted! Kaitlyn has a go-see tomorrow for Leap Frog that her nana is taking her too! After that she can come home and get plenty of rest and Archie time!

Wonderful news from Kaitlyn! She has just landed her first movie role!! Kaitlyn will be playing a homeless infant in the Independent Film, "Fear of Flight" which will shoot on Monday!! Wish her luck!!

Kaitlyn is napping, so time for a quick update. Kaitlyn has been called for another go-see. This one is for Leap Frog's new clothing line. It isn't as exclusive as the other go-sees, but we are going to hope for the best anyhow.

Kaitlyn's one her 3rd day of antibiotics so only 2 left! Hopefully we'll see some improvement and move on with the summer fun!

Kaitlyn's daddy has a softball game tonight and then another tomorrow that we are looking forward to! Wish him luck! I'm sure Kaitlyn will have a blast. And, if the weather cooperates, Monday can ne her first boating trip of the season!!

Well, today had it's ups and it's downs. Kaitlyn had a dr's appointment this morning. We met with Dr. Chao who is leaving June 1 to New York. We are very sad to see her go, she has been an amazing doctor since hour 1. Kaitlyn gained 4 ounces, so she is officialy 25 pounds 4 ounces now. The doctor was really impressed with her fine motor skills. She said Kaitlyn is really advanced and shows signs of being very artistic and good with numbers. She was drawing like a child much older according to Dr. Chao.

Then came the bad part of the visit. Kaitlyn's nose and chest were evaluated. It seems that Kaitlyn still has the sinus infection so we are going to hit it hard with much stronger antibiotics. It also looks like Kaitlyn is suffering from 1 of 2 things. Either she has seasonal allergies or something called Immune Difiency Disorder. With IDD, her immune system is weaker than it should be and she gets sick easier than other children do. We cannot give her allergy medicine incase she has IDD because it will weaken her immune system. She will be closely monitored and tested after she turns 2. So, basically she will be on the antibiotics for 5 days. After that we have to watch her and ensure her symptoms do not worsen. We also have to monitor where we go, ensure she isn't around people who are sick, ensure we aren't around a lot of smoke, ensure that she washes her hands all the time, and try to double her water intake. Even though she is up to 4-5 8-10 oz servings a day, the more water she drinks, the more of the illnesses she can flush out and that will help her immune system.

After a brief visit home, we loaded up again for a fun play date. We went to The Railroad Museum and met my friend Andrea and Kaitlyn's friend Daniel. They are only 6 days apart and it's really cute to see them. They both did amazing. Kaitlyn had a lot of fun and wanted to climb up everything and say hello to all of the wax people. She was sad to have to leave.

We then came home again and waited for Daddy. While I was making dinner Kaitlyn's agency called. She was offered the StoryBook Heirlooms booking! She will be shooting 2-3 days middle of June! She will be doing the whole catalog!! Yay Kaitlyn! Now it's bath time and then time for nighty-night!

Kaitlyn is like a sponge these days. She is learning so much and everything is so new to her. Yesterday we were playing in the living room and she brought a block to me. She said "Oooonnnnneeee" (a new word yay!), then she ran and brought me another block and said "mooooooo" which I can only assume meant 2. She was so proud of herself. She loves numbers. We do a lot of counting. For the past week or so when I say 1, 2, 3, 4, she jumps in with 5. She loves 5.

Today, we had lunch with Jamie and Kaitlyn was so well behaved. We got home and she was ready for a nap, she went all the way up the stairs and then came back down. (I watched her and stayed near-by, Just in Case), then she ran to me and yelled "Did it" She was so excited, she jumped, squelled and clapped for herself.
