Yesterday I went to get Kaitlyn the dress she modeled at the Citrus Height's Mervyn's Store. They were all sold out. Stock checks revealed they didn't have them at the Arden, Roseville or Rancho Cordova store either! I'm thrilled they are selling, but I'd love to get it for Kaitlyn. So, if anyone finds it in 18 or 24 months, please let me know! Thanks!
Scratch the above thought! Jamie, who is totally, unbelievably amazing, was able to find this on her lunch break! We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends!!
Kaitlyn spent today playing in the snow! She had so much fun! She didn't like for her gloves to get wet though. I think we are definitely going to be getting her (and her mama) some good snow gear for next year! She got a kick out of watching Uncle Dennis get nailed by snow balls!! She got sick towards the end of the day though, so we came home.
I have so many pictures of Kaitlyn and Cami that I will be posting soon! Cami even got to eat the snow, she seemed to like it!
Due to recent "photo-thief" from Kaitlyn's site, it is no longer possible for you to right click to save pictures. With Kaitlyn's popularity and the fact that she is our little princess, we don't want her pictures appearing just anywhere, so I have disabled right click. I truly apologize for any inconvenience and when I feel it is ok to do so, I will enable it again. So, if there are any pictures you'd like to have, I will more than happily e-mail them to you! Thank you so much for your understanding!!
And she's off! Kaitlyn's nana, papa and Uncle Ray just left with the little super model to meet with Pottery Barn kids! Kaitlyn is up for the in-store display! Way to go princess! As soon as I hear an update, I'll be sure to update her modeling journal!
Poor Kaitlyn. She's sick again. Her daddy had the stomach flu and even though she had extremly limited contact with him, it looks like she has it now too.
Luckily, we have such a happy girl. She hasn't cried or fussed at all. She still wants to chase Archie around and we have to encourage her to sit and rest. She's napping now. She's thrown up a few times and had a bit of diarea.
She's keeping food down no problem, but I think she's gulping liquids too fast. She fed herself some yogurt with active cultures, hopefully that'll help her!
She got to take a shower this morning. She loves water. She loves to wash her hands. She always asks to, and of couse we happily oblige!
If she's feeling better she'll be on her way back to San Francisco! That's right, 3 trips in 1 week. It's not the first time she's done it, but it still amazes me how in demand and how popluar she is! We are all so incredibly proud of her!
Kaitlyn learned something new today! She learned how to click her tongue! It's so cute!! I think she saw us doing it so much to get Archie's attention that she picked up on it too!!
She has been a busy little girl, check out her modeling journal! We made 2 trips to San Fran this week for 3 photo shoots!!
We have some of the most beautiful little girls in the world!!
Camaryn was up first. She was in the 0-12 month category. There wereabout 20-25 little babies that were pretty cute. Not nearly as cute asCamaryn, but they were cute.
Camaryn had a custom made dress that was gorgeous! It was light pinkand had a "material girl" top part with plenty of rhinestones andsparkle. It was a short dress, ending just above her knee with layersand layers of crinoline! She had the cutest satin bow and the perfectshoes!
Camaryn won Best Attire (AGAIN!!) and she also won most photogenic!! How could she not? She is a gorgeous little girl!!!
Kaitlyn's category was up next. Right at nap time, lol! She was inthe 13-23 month category and had on her beautiful dress and high heeledshoes. She wore a pretty pink pearled headband and both girls woretheir matching cousin bracelets.
Kaitlyn was so tired and so hot. She was sweating as she waited herturn. When we got to the stage she decided she would rather play withballoons. Once she got on stage for a few moments though she began tobask in the glory of being on stage!! Then of course, she didn't wantto get off.
When it was time for everyone to be on stage, she nearly fell asleepshe was so exhausted. Every few moments though, she would do a littlehappy smile and almost itsy bitsy spider.
Kaitlyn fell asleep before the crowning ceremony a few moments later.
She was so tired she slept through the first half of the awards! Shewon most beautiful eyes though! She stayed asleep the entire time shewas on stage!!!
Then, they announced the court. For as grumpy and as tired she was,Kaitlyn beat out 25 other girls to win Princess. She woke up on stageand saw that trophey and our happy girl was back!!
Just imagine if she didn't have an ear and eye infection, if she wasn'tteething, if she wasn't tired, she'd of won the whole thing!
Congratulations to our two little belles!! I will try to get pics upas soon as possible. Hawaiian Tropic's take 2-4 weeks to get. Here is one of Kaitln with all of he prizes from both pageants!!
Kaitlyn (and I am sure Camaryn) would like to thank everyone who came to support them at the pageant today! They had their nana and papa, Kaitlyn's Grandma, Uncle Ray, Kaitlyn's Aunt Beth, Kaitlyn's Auntie Christina, Kaitlyn's cousin Felecia, Danny and Evelyn and of course, their daddys!!!
No event is too good for these little princesses! There isn't anything their family wouldn't see them in! Thank you all so much for being there to support the gorgeous little girls today!!
Kaitlyn has a pageant tomorrow. Kaitlyn has a tendency to scratch her face the day or or right before pictures. So, this morning, I clipped her nails.
Less than an hour after I clipped her nails, she tripped over a boot and bit her lip. It bled for a minute and really made her mad, but she's fine and I don't think it'll leave a mark.
Her shoes came in yesterday. I measured her feet according to the website and ordered the corresponding size shoes. They are too big!! I think they will be ok, as long as no one notices the extra 1/2 inch! She walks really good in them. They have a tiny heel and she loves the noise they make so she'll take 2 or 3 steps and then she'll do a little dance. It's so cute!!
She has a new game she likes to do while Mommy's working. Kaitlyn likes to climb onto the recliner and then climb up the recliner so she is standing on top of the back of the recliner (like where your head goes) and stand. because of the location of the recliner. From there she can climb onto the window between the living room and dining room. And she tries to. She doesn't have enough confidence to yet (thank goodness) so she gets upset and frustrated.
Kaitlyn has had the worst time sleeping the last couple of nights. She just lays there and cries.
Today, she finally went down for a nap while I was out running an errand.
When she woke up I noticed a green "snot" oozzing out of her eye. I called her doctor and they saw her immediatly!
Her doctor saw her. Kaitlyn is up to 23.4 pounds (yay!). She took one look in her ear. The ear infection of Feb 7 was still there!!
Kaitlyn has a very high resilincy for antibiotics it turns out. She said it is very rare for a child who has never had antibiotics to have such a high tolerance.
So, she prescribed an antibiotic 10 times stronger for her to take for the next 10 days.
Since she had the ear infection and cold for so long, she developed an eye infection as well. She is on antibiotical eye drops for the next 7 days.
She does have great news though! Read the modeling journal to see what it is!
We had a bottle of bubbles left over from her birthday party and we brought them out tonight. Kaitlyn used the wand and blew bubbles all by herself!! She did so good!
Kaitlyn hasn't asked for, hinted for or made any indication that she wants one what so ever.
She is only using cups with straws and mini sized bottles of water. We have been practicing with plastic cups as well!
We are so excited! I'm not really suprised though. Kaitlyn has self-weaned herself off of many things early and quickly. She gave up the paci at 4 months, gave up the bottle at 7 months, weaned off of nursing at 10 months (to my dissapointment, I really wanted to go the whole year) and now at 15 months she is off of the sippy like a big girl!!
Yay Kaitlyn! Our Next step will be potty training! Wish us luck!

Well, our princess is turning 15 months tomorrow. I don't know, something about 15 months sounds so old, too old for her. I think it's too close to 18 months which is too close to 2, which is too close to grown up.
She has done so much in the last month. Aside from a crazy modeling schedule, she has learned to use a fork and a spoon. She isn't the best at it, but she's getting better. She likes to feed Archie off of the fork haha.
She LOVES to draw. She would do it all day if I let her. She likes pens better than pencils and markers best. Though, with pens and markers, she has to sit in her high chair to use them. We don't need "autographed" walls.
She misses her cousin Cami. She has been sick and hasn't been able to see her or play with her in about a week now.
Kaitlyn got her first ear infection. It was a double one in both ears. Tomorrow is the last day of antibiotics.
Tomorrow is Give Up Sippys in the Miller household. The doctor wanted to see her off of them at 15 months, so we are going to stop giving them to her and switch to straws instead for now. I hope she enjoys her sippy tonight because it's her last.
She is getting so tall! We really need to use her growth chart to see how tall she is. I think she has grown at least 1/2" or more since her last doctor's appointment. She can reach all the door knobs now and just needs a little more before she can actually open them. She's doing ok for now though. She likes to put the keys in the lock and has figured out which ones go in which hole.
She learns a new word every couple of days now. The latest being Tiger. She loves the Itsy Bitsy Spider and does the hand motions every time.
She is getting so big and grown up. Everything is still so new to her and it's amazing to watch the facination she has with the world around her. She still isn't really interested in TV, so we spend a lot of time playing and she helps mommy work. She loves car rides and applause.
She has a lot of great family around her that loves her and we are all incredibly fortunate for that.
