On May 16, Kaitlyn had her 6 month physical. Her doctor is really impressed with how well she is developing both physically and mentally!
Kaitlyn is up to 16 pounds and 4 ounces and 27 inches long. She is in the 75% for height and 70% for weight. She had her vaccines done, and while she cried, it wasn't for long. She doesn't have to go back until she is 9 months!
Well, it's gonna be a girl!!! Aunt Christy and Uncle Dennis are having a girl cousin for Kaitlyn to be best friends with! We are all so excited about her upcoming arrival! Aunt Christy is now half way done with her pregnancy, and that little girl is cooking up nicely in her belly, we cannot wait for her to get here! They have decided on the name Camaryn Chloe!
She loves her baths, which she gets every night. As soon as she gets in she starts kicking her feet really hard. She gets water EVERYWHERE! But she gets so happy and excited that it is worth cleaning up the mess! She also really likes when I put lotion on her afterwards. When she gets her legs and arms massaged with baby lotion, she talks, coos, and even laughs.
Kaitlyn has learned to sit up! She is still a little wobbly, but she can do it all on her own! It is so exciting to watch all of the progress she has made in only 4 months!
Well, she did it again. Kaitlyn came second place in another photo contest! She won a nice crown, a pearl bracelet, a whole bunch of gift certificates, and a few other things. She won with her 3 month picture of her in the roses!
Last Friday, Kaitlyn was on her boppy for tummy time and she crawled over it, all the way!! She used her butt to scoot herself off of it and about 6 inches away! I was so suprised! We are gonna keep working with her to make sure it isn't a fluke!
Today was Kaitlyn's four month appointment. She is 25 1/2 inches long, which is the 90th percent tile and weighs 13 lbs and 14 ounces, which is in the 75% tile. She might also be starting solid foods soon! She had 3 more shots and did awesome. She cried for about a minute, but by the time I had her strapped in her car seat she had settled down to a wimper, and by the time we walked to the elevator, she was calm and nearly asleep. She is such a good baby! Her doctor thinks she might be an early crawler and to expect teeth in the next 3 to 4 weeks!
Kaitlyn had cereal today!! A new milestone. We started her on Gerber baby cereal and she seemed to like it pretty good as you can see by the pictures! She loved her spoon. I am sure that we will be trying other "food" in the next week or two! Now, she just needs some teeth...
She did it!! She did it!! She did it!! Kaitlyn rolled all the way over today. She was on her back after her bath, laying on her towel after daddy dried her off and she rolled all the way towards her left to her belly and then continued towards her left to her back again! Her daddy and I were shocked! So, we put her on her back, and she did it again!! We are so proud of her, and with her big smile, we could tell she was proud of herself too!
Kaitlyn has learned something new, she likes to blow raspberries when she gets excited!

Archie is still doing really good with Kaitlyn. He is very careful with her and checks on her all the time. He likes to stand up on his hind legs and watch when she is on her changing table, having her diaper changed or getting dressed. He seems so in awe of her. It'll be really nice when she is older so that they can play together. I'm sure he is really looking forward to it.
