Things have been really hectic around here! Saturday we had a yard sale that went fantastic! We followed it up by having Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, Billy, Sunny and Awana over for dinner and to watch the UFC fight! While the fight was dissappointing, the food was not :) Dusty is such a great cook!

On Sunday, Kaitlyn and Dusty were in the pool by 10 AM! I thought it was much to freezing, but they weren't bothered at all by it. I went to a meeting and they spent the next several hours swimming. When I came home we headed to the cemetery and then Grandma and Grandpa's for Sunday dinner!

On Monday we had the golf tournament for CPOF. Kaitlyn was my assistant photographer and minus one mishap where she took off in my golf cart and hit a tree it was a great day! We received a very generous donation from the board of directors for the March of Dimes.

Yesterday was Nana's birthday! Kaitlyn had school then play time with Hailey before we headed to the mall and Walmart. Nana, Papa, Auntie Barbara, Uncle Dean, Auntie Jamie and Carmen all came over for dinner and Dusty grilled up some yummy food. Nana got sick before it was time to eat, do cake and presents so hopefully she is feeling better today!

Well, it has been a while since I updated you on how Kaitlyn's life is going :)

She's doing fantastic! She is over her bronchitis and her favorite movie is now Thumbelina. She has gotten so good at all of her letters and can spell some words. She's hard at work on learning to spell more and surprised us by being able to read a few lol! At this rate she'll be reading before kindergarten!

Speaking of Kindergarten, we got her packet today :) We'll have it completed by next week and ready to submit to get all of her class information. She's going to be a Dragon!

Kaitlyn loved April Fool's Day! She went around "fooling" everyone into April 2nd because she forgot all the tricks she wanted to do on April Fool's Day!

That Thursday we went to the store and bought Kaitlyn's swing set! We were so excited, I'm not sure who loved it more lol!

Saturday, Daddy stayed home with Kaitlyn and started putting it together with some help from Nana and Papa! On Sunday, Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis, Camaryn, her friend Scott and his dad all came over for a few hours to work on it some more.

We spent the week before Easter super busy! Kaitlyn was thrilled to be on spring break and we had so much to do! She spent most of the week at her friend Hailey's house! We worked hard on getting things ready for the Spaghetti Dinner and Easter!

Kaitlyn was so excited Friday. She took her friends Ashley, Hailey and Hunter Easter presents and they got her a super awesome Easter basket with the barbie she has been asking for and Matthew sweet flowers. Friday night we headed to Nana and Papa's house so that we could dye Easter Eggs and the girls could open their Easter baskets. The girls had a blast! And they were definitely spoiled with lots of new clothes, shoes, movies and toys!

Saturday morning, we dyed our Easter Eggs, all 6 dozen! It was so much fun! Then we headed to the Mooselodge for their annual Easter party. Before the Easter Egg hunt they dedicated the new playground to Matthew and added a plaque in his memory.

Saturday night was our big Spaghetti Feed to raise money in Matthew's honor for the March for Babies!! We were able to raise $2700!! Thank you to everyone that made it so awesome!

And of course, Sunday was Easter!! It was our first year hosting and it was so much fun! Kaitlyn woke up to open her Easter basket, Matthew's and then the one mommy and daddy got her! She was so excited that the Easter Bunny brought her everything ever made for Thumbelina and the movie she's been asking for! Matthew got so many fun things for the cemetery and Mommy and Daddy got her plenty of swimsuits to get the season started!

After we visited the cemetery, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to pick up some supplies and Kaitlyn got her Easter present! She got the new "big girl" Barbie bike she has been asking for and was SOOO excited!!! We came home and got everything started and ready for Easter! Thanks so much for coming over and making it so special! After the 300+ egg hunt we were greeted by the Easter bunny and then a ton of food!!

This week has been busy too! Kaitlyn went back to school, we went to Hope and Beau's house to play, we've been to Daddy's work, we've been to Kaitlyn's new school for kindergarten and tonight we head to Daddy's ball game!

We hope everyone is ready for the super hot weather coming up this weekend!!

Even with the strong wind, we had a great Sunday!

We started out by going to Nicole's birthday party at the park! We got to hang out with Dorin, Nicole, Dominick, Auntie Jamie, Carmen, Daphne, Jacob, Isaiah, Justice, Tara, Taveon, and for a little bit before we left Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn.

After some yummy cake, we headed to Patty and Christian's baby shower! Kaitlyn was so glad to see her friends Ashley, Hailey and Hunter and Uziel!

After that, we picked up daddy and went to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner :)

On Monday, the wind was still horrific and I was really sick in the morning so I stayed home with her! After lunch, we went and got Kaitlyn's new playground! I am so excited to have it up and ready to go!!

During the night, Kaitlyn's allergies got worse and she ended up coughing so hard she threw up in her sleep :( This morning we took her to the doctor. She's lost 2 pounds (probably from all the mucous) and has a sinus infection and bronchitis :( Poor baby! So, she's staying inside for the next 5 days!

03/28/09

First, my apologizes that the domain has not been updated yet. Yahoo is making it incredibly difficult. I will be calling them Monday for further guidance :P

This has been a busy week! On Monday, we had work and school followed by coming home. Kaitlyn has decided that she would like to break from gymnastics until it is cold again. She said the weather is too beautiful to be stuck inside! So, that's exactly what we are doing.

Monday night Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy and Camaryn came over for dinner and to watch the Season Finale of Big Love.

After school on Tuesday we headed to the zoo with Cynthia and Aiden! Kaitlyn had a blast!

On Wednesday, we headed to Daddy's work after school and work and Kaitlyn played with Char's boys. The ran wild :) From there, we headed to Nana and Papa's house so we could go to Daddy's ball game! Auntie Jamie, Carmen, Dorin, Nicole and Dominick all joined us to watch Daddy, Papa and Uncle Joel play!

Thursday we headed back to Daddy's work after school and work where Kaitlyn rode her bike for 3 solid hours! Then we headed to the ball park to watch Daddy and Papa play! Kaitlyn kept riding her bike and playing like crazy! Daddy played an awesome game and it was a good night!

On Friday we went to work and school and then got to head home. We watered all of the yards and plants. Normally I had been doing it in the morning while Kaitlyn was getting ready for school, but since we had more time our little gardener got to help! From there we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner and Kaitlyn stayed the night :)

Saturday morning, Kaitlyn went to look at the flooded parking lot at CPOF with Grandma while I did some shopping. I got new foilage for around the pool and am so excited to have it all in the ground! That is definately my goal for Monday. Kaitlyn spent the afternoon at the movies with Auntie Christina, Uncle Brian and Reid watching Monsters vs. Aliens and loved it. Then, this evening we were joined for dinner by Nicole, Dorin, Dominick, Daphne, Jacob, Isaiah and Justice. It was a good night and Kaitlyn is already fast asleep.

Tomorrow, we have Nicole's birthday party, Patty's baby shower, a trip the cemetery and Sunday dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house all planned out :D

Hello and Happy Sunday!!

Most of the week followed the same schedule. We would drop Daddy off at work, drop Kaitlyn off at school, I would go to work, Kaitlyn would go to her friend, Hailey's house after school and then I would pick her up, she would beg to stay and eventually we would leave :D

Most days, after school we worked in the yards. I really want all of the yard work done by this weekend. Wednesday we pulled out all of the weeds and grass around the pool. We bought two new palm trees for that area and got them all set up. Kaitlyn made the sweetest "No Running around the Pool" sign!

We took a shower and then headed to Daddy's ball game with Nana and saw Auntie Jamie and baby cousin Carmen.

On Thursday, after school we headed home and dug up the two ugly, painful, cacti by the bridge. We were also able to dig up all of the stepping stones and plant some pretty trees by the bridge. We had some yummy dinner before we headed to bed. On Friday we were able to finish up that project by replanting the stepping stones, daddy mowed and we trimmed the backyard.

Saturday morning I woke up bright and early with a pounding headache :( Daddy and Kaitlyn headed to Nana's house while I took care of resting, mopping and starting dinner. I also got started on where I want my veggie garden!

Saturday night, Chet, Billy, Sunny (his girlfriend), Shivani, Willian and Awana came over for dinner! They played and played and played. Kaitlyn fell asleep long before everyone went home, exhausted from all the fun she had! :D

This morning Kaitlyn hung out with Grandma while I went to comittee meeting for my ten year reunion! I can't believe it's already been 10 years!

And now we're enjoying our Sunday dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

This week we are doing more of the same. We are working on donations for our spaghetti dinner for the March of Dimes, keeping up our regular schedule and finishing all the work in the yards! Our self imposed deadline is Saturday :D

Happy St. Patty's Day! We hope that you have everyone is having an awesome and lucky day!

We've been keeping busy :)

Thursday, Kaitlyn had school and then Grandma picked her up and I had work and I picked Kaitlyn up! ) We met up with Miss Sarah, Kayla, Auntie Christy and Camaryn up at Chick Fil A for a couple hours.

From there we headed to Toys R Us to look at Playground sets and then to Target to get some new things for the house before we headed to Gymnastics!

After Gymnastics, Daddy rode his bike all the way home from work! We were so proud of him!

Friday morning, Kaitlyn went to school while I went to work! Then she went to Grandma's work with her before Daddy, Kaitlyn and I headed out to buy our new TV! Yay for LCD! Yay for HD!

Friday night Kaitlyn and Daddy spent time together while I headed to Dorin and Nicole's to work on baby shower fun stuff! When I got home, they were cuddled up all sweet and asleep.

Saturday morning, I got to Dorin and Nicole's for an early start on shower things and Daddy and Kaitlyn came out for the party with Grandma. It was a lot of fun!

After the shower, we headed home for some well deserved rest.

Sunday morning Kaitlyn went horseback riding with Shelby! She had SOOO much fun! It was a great set up. After lessons, we headed to Mel's Diner with Miss April, Mr. Leland and Shelby before going to the ice cream shop!

When we got home, Kaitlyn was fast asleep. We headed to the cemetery and mowed the gorgeous grass! Then we went to Grandma's where we saw Auntie Sammie, Uncle Davey, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Beth, Uncle Paul, Great Grandma Mauda, Auntie Jamie and Uncle Scotty! We all headed to pizza to celebrate Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey's birthdays!

Kaitlyn stayed the night with Grandma and Grandpa so she could have fun with Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey while they were visiting. Grandma took Kaitlyn to school. I got to pick her up and boy was she excited for the rest of the day! We headed to BJ's for a yummy lunch before Kaitlyn spent more time with Auntie Sammie and Uncle Davey and I did some grocery shopping!

Monday night, Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Auntie Sammie, Uncle Davey, Auntie Christina, Uncle Scotty, Auntie Jamie, Auntie Christy and Camaryn all came over for dinner. We watched Big Love, had some delicious Tri Tip and Chicken (thanks Daddy!) and chocolate cake for desert!

This morning Kaitlyn went to school in her St. Patty's dress! She twirled for everyone that would look. After school she went home with Miss Tammy and her best friend Hailey while I finished up at work. To say Kaitlyn had fun would be the understatment of the year! I had to practically drag her out of there!

We headed home and got started on the last flower bed in the front yard. It was so infested with weeds, I didn't even know it was there until yesterday! We got all the weeds out, looked at all the spiders, snails and beatles and got it all ready. Then we went and got a ton of new flowers and picked up daddy. When we got home, I planted them all and trimmed up the bushes. The front yard is officially finished. All it needs now is maintenance.

Tomorrow we have the backyard on our plate...

03/11/09

What a busy week it's been!

As you can see, on Tuesday Kaitlyn and her class had a field trip to the Fire Station! The whole class walked to the fire department. Everyone did a fantastic job!

When we got to the fire station we got to see the fireman put on all their gear, Kaitlyn got to squirt the hose, have a tour of the station, get in the fire truck, and learn everything there is to know (for a 4 year old :P) about fire fighting! The kids all had so much fun!

After school we headed to Fairy Tale Town with Nicole, Dominick, Kassandra, Blake, Alexis, Cynthia and Aiden. The kids had hours of fun! They played on everything there is!!

After Fairy Tale Town we picked Daddy up from work and then headed home to meet Auntie Barbara and Uncle Dean. We got to show them the new house while I cooked dinner while Nana, Papa, Auntie Christy, Uncle Dennis and Camaryn all came over!

On Tuesday, Kaitlyn had a day with Daddy while I had my first day of work! It's part time and so far I really like it!

After, we headed to Kaitlyn's doctor's appointment. Kaitlyn's allergies have been really bad! She is now on a nasal spray, eye drops and the regular oral medicine :( Poor baby has been so miserable. It should take about a week to start noticing a difference.

Daddy made some delicious chicken to go with my pasta for dinner and then we called it a night.

This morning Kaitlyn had ANOTHER walking field trip! This time it was to Raley's. The kids got the back stage tour of the store, how it works, how everything is stored, prepared and readied. They got goodies from every department and had so much fun!

After the fieldtrip, Tammy (Kaitlyn's best friend's mommy and soon to be babysitter :D) drove us back to our car so we could head to Daddy's work. We got to meet up with everyone before heading home for our "Wednesday Cleaning" While Mommy worked on deep cleaning for the week, Kaitlyn got absolutely filthy in mud, yay for washing machines!

When Daddy got home, we had dinner and then he went to his first softball game of the season. We are so bummed it was such a late game or we would have loved to have gone.

Tomorrow Kaitlyn has school, Chick Fil A and gymnastics. Friday Kaitlyn has school and then a visit to Dominick's house to work on stuff for the baby shower. Saturday is the baby shower and Sunday is horseback lessons!

03/08/09

First we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Uncle Brian and his family during this time. Uncle Brian's grandfather passed away Friday night.

We would also like with wish Great Grandma Mauda a very happy Birthday!!!

Yesterday was a ton of fun! We started out by going to Dorin, Nicole and Dominick's house to work on our "to-do" list for the baby shower on Saturday! Kaitlyn nearly refused to leave! She had to stay longer to play with Dominick, and asked if she could be his big sister. :P

From there, we headed to the zoo to meet Auntie Jamie and Carmen. We hadn't been to the Folsom Zoo before, so it was a new adventure and a lot of fun. Girl Scouts had made some "treat" boxes for the bears, so we got there just in time to watch them play with the boxes.

After the zoo, we headed to the store to pick up some things before coming home. Kaitlyn helped me bake a cake before Nana and Papa brought Camaryn over! Kaitlyn was so excited to see her and so happy to have the new back scratcher and Ears she asked for :) The girls played until it as Kaitlyn's bed time while we watched Big Love.

Today we are relaxing before we head to the cemetery and then Grandma and Grandpa's for Sunday Dinner and to celebrate Great Grandma Mauda's birthday!

Typing that made me realize that in 2 months, Daddy and I will celebrate a whole decade of being a couple! How amazing is that?

Things have been fun and busy this week! On Thursday, after school we went to Chuck E. Cheese with Nicole, Dominick, Miss Sarah and Kayla. The kids had a ton of fun and played their hearts out. Kaitlyn was thrilled with her new slinky and of course, candy!

After Chuck E. Cheese we headed to the mall to do some shopping before we headed home to see Daddy and make some dinner!

Friday morning was Kaitlyn's teddy bear picnic and the highlight of her week lol! She took her best friend Bunny as her "date" and apples as her contribution. She has been talking about it non-stop!

From school we headed to the mall to go to Build A Bear! Bunny needed a friend. Kaitlyn made the cutest and softest lamb and dressed it like Ariel, wig and all lol!

After Build A Bear, we headed to Daddy's work so Daddy and Grandma could watch Kaitlyn for my Dr. Appointment (thanks!!). Then we came home to garden, play in the water and have dinner.

Kaitlyn suspiciously went to bed at 6 PM last night! Of course, we paid for that at 2:30 AM when she woke up, and stayed up with a sore throat! She watched Noggin until 5 AM when she finally fell asleep! When she wakes up, if she's well, we're going to try and have a fun day! We are missing dance class since I hate to wake her :(
