I know it's been a while since I've talked to everyone. We've been
trying to get adjusted to our new life basically. We just moved into a
new home last month, I graduated nursing school
last month, started a new job this month, got engaged this month,
having a new baby in 3 months and just took my nursing boards last week
and passed so I am OFFICIALLY a nurse now. YAY! So as you can tell
there have definitely been alot of changes in the past month. Brycen is
getting very very excited about having a new baby brother.
He loves to feel the baby move in my stomach. He will say "Mommy let's
make the baby cry" so he'll put his ear up to my belly and tell me that
the baby is crying. LOL Then he will touch to my stomach and say "It's
okay brother" It's just the cutest thing. Shawn is getting very
excited as well. I can't even tell you how many things he's gone out to
buy already. LOL Shawn's mother is decorating our nursery so I am very
thankful for that. She is an amazing decorator. Shawn's sister is
throwing us a baby shower Oct. 25th so you all will be receiving an
invitation in the mail soon. So as I said earlier I started a new job
at the Texas Tech Health Science Center
here in Lubbock working in the OB/GYN clinic and I am absolutely loving
it. It's Monday-Friday 8 to 5 and the doctors and staff and my boss of
course are great! I am very blessed to have found this job. Well I just
wanted to drop a quick note to say hi to everyone and let you know I am
still alive after this year of hell (nursing school)! Hah Talk to you

Well as some of ya'll know Brycen is going to be a big brother in December and he is very very excited. He keeps saying he is going to have a sister, but we won't find out until July 22nd. I'm kind of hoping for another boy...They are just too sweet! Have you ever seen the show "Kids say the Darndest Things" well Brycen should have been on that show Thursday. Brycen went with me to an ultrasound on Thursday and it was way too cute. As they do the ultrasound it shows up on a big screen tv, well I told Brycen to look at the baby and I asked him what the baby was doing and he said "The baby is saying HELP!" LOL The nurse and I just died laughing and was Brycen was looking at us like "What did I do?" Anyway the ultrasound went great the baby was moving like crazy and sucking on his/her hand. Just too cute! As for things around here, they are great. I've just been so busy with school I haven't had the time to do anything to Brycen's website. But only 2 months left until graduation!!! YAY! I can't wait! This has definitely been a crazy year for Brycen and I, but it will all be worth it in 2 months. Well Brycen, Shawn and I are heading to the movies soon so we best be going. I just wanted to drop in and give everyone a quick update. Hopefully I'll have time to write another story in the next 2 months. HaHa Talk to ya'll soon!

Happy Valentines Day! I remember last V-Day it snowed alot here and it's supposed to snow here tomorrow...Can't wait! Thank god tomorrow is Friday but then that just means I've gotta study all weekend. But I guess you do what you gotta do right =0) Brycen is doing great these days. He is potty training right now and it's going good so far. Yesterday the daycare let him be in his underwear and no diaper and sure enough he went all day long without having an accident. But he did have one after we got home, but it's okay it was only his first day without his diaper. Actually he isn't wearing one right now (his choice) he is such a big boy these days. He is talking talking talking about anything and everything and the things he comes up with just blows my mind. I Love It! He knows how to get himself dressed and loves to pick out his clothes and loves to help me clean. And most of all loves to help Shawn feed his fish. We have two salt water tanks and Brycen just thinks it's the coolest thing to feed those fish. Well it's Brycen's bedtime so I'm going to go lay down with his for a bit. I'll try to write again soon! I can't believe it's already 2008...Where has the time gone? Well school started back up last week so I'm writing a story while I have some time. Brycen and I had a great Christmas with NaNa and Uncle Arial and aunt Maya. I can definitely say that I hope he doesn't get any more presents this year. HaHa His room is outragiously full of toys. Well I do have some exciting news...I made the deans list and I am number 1 in my class right now. =0) I was pretty excited when I got the news. I've never really been an "A" student until now. Hah
Brycen is such a big boy these days. He talks and talks and talks..I just love it. He is learning to talk in complete sentences now. It's so damn cute when he tries to tell you a story because half of the time you have no idea what he is saying but he will just go on and on and on and be so into his story. His new thing is telling me "Okay, in just a minute" when I ask him to do something. I'm sure he gets that from me. =0)
Alright Brycen is getting into something so I've gotta get going. But I will try to write more this weekend when I get a chance. Talk to you all soon!

Well hello everyone! Long time no talk HaHa Things have been just a bit busy around here. But school is finally out for a WHOLE month thank god!!! Brycen and I are heading to El Paso on Thursday to go have our Christmas and then head back on the 26th so Brycen can go see his daddy. Brycen is very very excited to go see his NaNa and uncle Arial. And oh how Brycen has become quite the big man around the house. He likes to try to tell me when it's time to eat, time to take a bath, time to go to bed...HaHa He always asks me if I'm okay. He is a silly silly boy that's for sure. We are learning yes/no mam and yes/no sir. He has learned bless you when you sneeze, please, thank you or if you get hurt he will ask you if you're okay. If you yawn he will ask if you are tired. It just amazes me how much he has grown and matured since school has started. And as for school it's going great...very hard but it's good right now. This Christmas break is very much needed. Well it's almost 6 here and Brycen and I have to head to Shawn's sister's house so we can do our Christmas. Hopefully I can keep the website more updated this Christmas break. Talk to you all soon!

Well Well Well so I didn't hold my end of the deal about trying be better about writing stories more often...HaHa Things have been great around here. I started nursing school again last week. We've already had 3 tests and 4 quizzes so far. As for my grades they have been great! A 100 & 90 in Mental Health and a 97.6 in A&P so I'm very very excited about that! Brycen is going to daycare while I'm at school and he absolutely loves it. He just talks and talks and talks about all kinds of stuff these days. It's so exciting to hear him learning all these new words. Except when he repeats the bad ones...LOL I'm getting better at not saying them around him except for the other day while we were driving. A guy cut me off and i said the "F" word with an er at the end and Brycen thought I said "sucker" so I was like yeah I said sucker...HaHa Silly Kid. Well I just wanted to let everyone know that Brycen and I are still alive and things are going great here. We will be in touch!

Okay okay okay so it's been 2 months since my last story...HaHa Sorry!!! Anyway Brycen is growing so fast these days...Never a dull day thats for sure. I've been working at his daycare for the past month or so and it's been quite an enjoyment. I love to be able to see him whenever I want to...Especially to watch to him when he doesn't know I am..That's always fun. He absolutely loves going to daycare. He has learned to much since he has started...colors, numbers, shapes, animals, all kinds of stuff. His teachers are always saying he is the best kid in his class and never gets into trouble. Haha Now why does that change when he gets home?!?! Heh heh Lets see what else is new...He has finally moved up to size 5 diapers, he has mastered the DVD player, he can pick out what movie he wants from our huge stack of movies and name it as well, he knows how to pick out his pjs and clothes, knows what he wants and doesn't want to eat...good lord is my son picky. HaHa I hope I wasn't ever that picky LOL Well it's about 9:30 and I better get this laundry folded so I can get to bed...I will write more often I promise...Talk to you all soon!

Well it has been a really really long time since I've written anything on here...I've just been so busy with school and all that I don't have time to do anything else. It's kicking my butt! Hah Well it's finally Spring Break...YAY!!!!!! Brycen and I are flying to El Paso tomorrow to see my mom, it will definitely be nice to get away from here for a while. My brain needs a break...for a few days at least because the Monday I go back to school I have a test and start clinicals at the hospital as well. As far as things with Brycen and I they are been pretty good except for the fact that he keeps getting sick. Poor guy we had to take him to the chidrens ER yesterday because he hadn't been able to keep anything down for 3 days. They said he just has a stomach virus thats going around...Poor guy had it about 2 weeks ago and I had it for 8 days straight YUCK! Talk about an easy way to loose weight HaHa So Brycen started daycare In Feb. and he absolutely loves it! He has started talking to much more and has learned all kinds of new songs and also learned how to say "Thank You" in sign language. Smart guy huh! He seems to impress me more and more everyday. Well I'm really going to try to update as often as I can. Oh and the reason there haven't been any new pics lately is because my camera broke, but hopefully I'll get a new one for my B-Day this month. Well I must start packing our things for tomorrow...We'll keep in touch everyone! Love you all!!!

So I guess it's about time I write a story on here huh...The last one I wrote was almost 3 months ago...Yikes! Happy 22 months Brycen...You're getting so BIG! So things have been good around here, just really really busy. I started nursing school this week and it's already kicking my butt! We usually get out at about 3 and then 4 on Lab days so by the time I get out and get Brycen and get home and unpaked and settled and diner cooked its already 6 o clock. And of course Brycen wants to play and cuddle and play some more so I don't get any studying time in til he get's his little butt to bed. And by that time I'm tired as can be, so I've gotta come up with a new strategy...Any suggestions? So enough about my school let's talk about Brycen. He is getting so so so big now...He is talking more and more these days. He knows how to drink out of a big person cup now, he knows how to pick out his pj's, and his clothes and his socks and shoes. He loves to help take the trash out, unload the dishwasher and feed Shooter. He is liking to brush his teeth again, he was going through a phase where he hated it so much and now he is liking it because he has an electric tooth brush now. Let's see what else....He has gotten really good at riding his 4 wheeler. I'm talking he does tricks on it now..He will stand on the seat while he's driving it or stick his legs out to the side. LOL I guess he's gonna be a dare devil when he gets older. HaHa It just amazes me at how smart he is and how fast of a learner he is. He can watch me do something one time and know how to do it himself. It just amazes me so much. Crazy how time flies by these days. Well I've gotta get some studying in now...But I'll try to be a little better at writing stories from now on. Talk to you all later!

3 more days until Halloween! I can't wait to take Brycen trick or treating...We've been trying to teach him to say "Trick or Treat" but it's not really working out too good. HaHa So things have been to crazy and unorganized around here lately. With both of us working and me getting things ready for school in Jan. and us getting everything ready for the wedding in December. I'm sure some of you don't know yet, but Dustin and I are getting married December 9th. =0) Yeah we can't wait...It's gonna be lots of fun! Brycen went for his 18 month check up last week and he has gained 2 lbs so he is 22 lbs now and has grown 2 inches in 3 months so he is 33 1/2 inches long now. He has finally moved up to 18 months pants! HaHa Because the 12 month pants are too short, but now the waist in the 18 month pants are way too big so we've gotta roll them. Anyone know where you can buy baby belts? Brycen has learned almost all of his body parts...He knows his eyes, hair, ears, nose, mouth, fingers, belly button, feet and piggys. He gives high fives, blows kisses, gives regular kisses, gives (love) where you put your fist up to someone elses HaHa, he goes and gets his own diapers and throws them in the trash, he can go get his own clothes, brush his teeth, put his shoes on, get his blanket out o his bed, get his juice, helps fold clothes, and many many more things. Brycen is definitely a smart kid and learns really really quick. He always seems to amaze us somehow. Well I must get going now I have a ton of arrands to do and a Halloween Party to go to tonight. Hi guys it's Brycen...Sorry it's been so long since I've talked to you all but I've just been so busy this summer. We've been going out of town and having lots of visitors this summer. Mommy and I just got back from Austin. We went to visit my great grandma Nanny and boy did I have lots and lots of fun. We went shopping and we went to visit my uncle Arial and we even went to Sea World! That was way awesome! We got to see dolphins and sea lions and sharks and fish and even Shamu! I can't wait to go back there again! So what else have I been up to you ask...Oh just hanging out with my mommy and daddy and all their friends. We go riding quads and dirt bikes alot, we go camping or have BBQ's at our house. Lots and lots of fun! So what should I be for Halloween??? A Bee, Blue's Clues, a doggy, a bear...Any suggestions? Well it's time for me to eat my dinner now I'll be talking to you all soon! Oh Yeah...I just want to wish my uncle Arial a Happy early Birthday...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

So I have some fabulous news...Are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready? I Got Into Nursing School!!!! WoooHooo! I checked my mail today and had a letter from the nursing school and my heart just dropped HaHa So it took me like 5 mins before I could open it so finally I got the guts to do it and sure enough it was good news...YAY! I start January 15th that's really not too far away. I'm going to be sad if I have to quit my job, I absolutely love it there. So enough about me...Brycen has learned a new word today "Hot" but he says it like "Ot" LOL He has become quite the copycat. Everything you do he will do, we are definitely going to have to watch what we do around him from now on. Alrighty well I've gotta get dinner started so we'll talk to you soon. Hopefully this weekend I can finish updating Brycen's site.

Hi Guys...How are ya'll doing? Things have been good here except for the fact that it's been raining for 5 days straight now and I can't even get my car out of the neighborhood. But other than that it's been really nice to have all this rain we definitely needed it. So brycen has a new word..."What" It's so funny when he says it. You'll just be looking at him and he'll say "What?" We were at a friends house with a bunch of people and we were all sitting in a circle talking and everyone got quiet and was looking at Brycen and he looked back at everyone and was like "What?" Everyone cracked up laughing. HaHa He's finally getting into TV now...He loves to watch Blues Clues, Wonder Pets, The Backyardigans and the Fairly Odd Parents. I think he's kind of forgotten about Spongebob LOL So Brycen's new favorite activity is drawing. He Loves It! We have some pads of paper and pens sitting on the shelf of our desk table and he'll just walk over there and grab some paper and a pen and draw page after page after page. It's just too cute! Okay well Brycen just left me a present in his diaper so I better get to it before it starts to ferment. Have A Great Day!

So things have been pretty busy around here lately with me working and Dustin working and Dustin starting school on Monday. He is pretty excited about that. Brycen is learning all kinds of things these days. He loves to carry Shooter around like a little baby, he pushes his own chair in after he is done eating at the table, he wipes his face with his napkin, he has finally learned how to drink through a straw so I can finally buy some sippy cups with straws now, he has learned how to put his own shoes on, he likes to pick out what shirt he wants to wear, he knows how to take his own diaper off HaHa. When he wakes up in the morning he will go to the pantry and pick out what he wants to eat for breakfast, he has also learned how to shake hands with people. I can go on and on about what he does these days. Well we went camping this past weekend with six of our friends and it was a blast. Brycen was a trooper out there...he loved having to ruff it. We got to ride 4 wheelers out there and everything. Brycen is quite fond of motorcycles and 4 wheelers, he just can't seem to get enough of them. He loves to go see Dustin and the guys at the shop because they let him sit on the motorcycles and play around them. We take him to the motocross races on Friday night and he cannot take his eyes off the track. He just loves to go and watch the little kids race the 50's, there is even a little 3 year old that races and it is the cutest damn thing in the world. I just hope Brycen doesn't want to get into racing dirt bikes, I don't think I can handle that. LMAO Alrighty well it is 11:00 pm and I am super tired so I'm off to bed now. I'll try to be better at keeping you all updated. Have A Good Night!

Quick update from Brycen's 15 month check up. He is now 20 lbs LOL I swear he eats alot and he is now 31 1/2 inches long...Okay I've gotta head to work I just wanted to write that real quick. Talk to you all soon!

I can't believe July is already over...Where did the time go? Well Brycen and I just got done making the bed this morning. He just loves to help me do stuff around the house. When I make the bed he hands me all the pillows, when I unload the dishwasher he hands me some of the dishes, he likes to help me sweep and dust, even if I have to go to the bathroom he likes to give me the toilet paper, his new thing is feeding Shooter every morning. I'll open the pantry in the morning for him and he will get the cat food out, I'll open the lid for him and he'll stick his hand in there and put the food in Shooter's bowl. He also is totally obsessed with waving and telling everyone bye bye. Even if you're not leaving he'll grab you by your shirt and walk you to the door and tell you bye bye. HaHa It's so funny! So I got a job! I wasn't even looking for one and my friend told me they were hiring for a nurses assistant at the doctors office where she works. So I went in for an interview and got the job! I was kind of iffy about the job at first because I've heard of the dirty work that nurse assistants get, but in the case it's totally not like that the Nurse I work with treats me like her equal. I'll be doing everything a nurse does like giving shots, taking vitals everything except I can't write prescriptions. So yesterday was my first day there and it was quite an experience I got to meet all kinds of great people. The day went by really fast until the last patient HeHe I'm not sure if I mentioned by I'm working for an arthritis doctor. Well...this poor little lady had to get both of her knees drained so one of the nurses and I were holding her hands for her while the doctor did this. Remind you I wasn't grossed out or anything but all of a sudedn while the doctor is doing this I start getting all sweaty and sick to my stomach and I'm thinking in my head "Oh crap don't pass out, hurry doctor I need to sit down before I really do pass out". So finally he's done with everything he tells the other nurse and I to clean her up and discharge her. Well as soon as he leaves the room I'm like I've gotta sit down so I do and as I'm sitting down it really hits me. I'm getting sweaty and having chills at the same time, I'm getting really sick to my stomach now, I'm getting sleepy, all the sound in the room starts to fade away. So the nurses are fanning me and telling me to stay awake. Then I heard them saying "Oh crap there goes her color" they said I was white as a ghost LMAO So I dunno 5 minutes passes and I'm finally feeling better. Well I guess word passes really fast in this doctor's office. Oh yeah there are four doctors that work in this office so there is lots of staff as well. Well basically everone gave me crap and told me Welcome to the family. HaHa So that was my first day on the job...I can't wait to see what happens next! Alright well enough of that...Brycen and I are heading to the park. We'll talk to you soon!

Okay Okay Okay so it's been a really long time since I've written a story. So what's been going on with us you ask...Well I did get an A in my nutrition class YAY! For the 4th of July we ended up going to the lake with my dad. Then that next weekend Dustin had to leave for Luisiana to Camp Cook for BNOC. So he's been gone for almost two weeks and will be back late Thursday night. Dustin is just dying to see Brycen again. Brycen has learned so many things while Dustin has been gone. He has learned to put his shoes on and off, he's learned to show his muscles and that's really really funny. You tell him to "Show your muscles" and he puts his arms infront of his face like hes gonna block a punch or something and he'll squeeze really really hard HaHa it's just the cutest thing. He also has some new words of his own, I'm not really sure what they mean yet. Oh and he's definitely mastered going in and out of his NaNa's doggy door. We've been at my mom's house for the past week and before that we were at my dad's house visiting as well. So we've been traveling through Texas the past 2 weeks. Well we are heading back to Lubbock tomorrow so I'll be adding more pictures as soon as I get home. Okay well Brycen is really wanting to take a bath now so I guess that's what I'm going to do. Hey Hey Hey Everybody...Today is my last day of class so maybe I'll actually have time to work on Brycen's website now. I"ve been so busy with that class and applying for scholarships for school and I'm actually retaking my nursing test this Friday to see if I can get a higher grade than my last one. So cross your fingers! I'm applying for another school also so I've gotta take a different nuring test there also...Blah! Oh well I've gotta do what I've gotta do. Enought about me Brycen has been the silliest little boy lately. Yes I said it..Little boy! HeHe He has gotten into this whole cleaning thing. He loves to help me clean and help me do laundry. For instance I was vaccuming today and I had to move the ottaman out of the way, well Brycen decided that he didn't want it to be moved so he moved it back where it was supposed to go. HaHa He loves to help me dust and sweep and throw stuff in the trash. I wonder if he's gonna be clean freak like me LOL So we put Brycen in size 4 diapers this week...Well they are HUGE on him. The diaper comes way above his belly button and I have to cross the tabs way over each other so that the diaper doesn't fall down. LMAO I'm thinking about putting him in 3's for a while again. Well Dustin brother, Adam, left today he has been staying with us the past month to help me watch Brycen when I go to school. I know Brycen is going to be so sad after he realizes Adam isn't coming back for a while. They had so much fun together this summer, we can't wait for him to come back. So thank you Adam for all your help this past month, you've been awesome! Well I've gotta study for my last test today...Oh I'm working on a new video of Brycen so stay tuned! Til next time...

So I'm getting really bad at writing stories now. I've just been so busy with school and all...It's only a four week course Mon - Thurs so they are squeezing a whole semester into 16 days really so it's alot of work at once. Brycen had his first dental appointment yesterday and it went great! The dentist said his teeth are coming in like they should and that they are all nice and straight. I guess Brycen didn't like the taste of the gloves the dentist had on because for a while after we left he kept sticking his tongue out trying to get something off of it. LOL So Brycen has this new obsession with his MoHawk. Last week Dustin gave him one just for fun...Well since then he has wanted to have his hair done like that everyday. I tried to do it normal the other day, but Brycen got mad at me HaHa So I HAD to give him his MoHawk. Brycen has learned what it means when I say "Let's Go Brush Your Teeth" He'll go to the bathroom and bang on the door til I get there and once I let him in he'll grab for his toothbrush. It's just the cutest thing! Brycen also has thing new obsession with sticking his face in the water in the pool and the bath tub. He loves loves loves to blow bubbles in the water. Okay well I've gotta do some studying now before I head to class, I have another test tomorrow I'm just hoping I do as good on this one as I did on my last one. Talk to you all soon!
