Liam Dickens IV was welcomed into our family at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on July 1st, 2007 weighing in at eight pounds thirteen ounces and twenty one and half inches long.
His start to life was a rough one. My first trimester of the pregnacy I fell down the basement stairs causing minor complications. At seven months I was walking downtown and was struck by a truck causing further complications to the pregnacy, but he hung in there and went strong all the way through.
Come Liam's due date, June 30th 2007 I went into labour around 5:00 pm and remained in that state until 9:00 am July 1st when it became inevitable he was going to have to be removed as I could not push him out. He was facing the wrong way, bigger than the doctors thought and his hand was set up by his head all balled up into a fist.
A week later we left left the hospital in the middle of a big move and a BIG thank you to Judy and Jerry for putting us up for two days before we hit the road and came to our new home where we were welcomed by lots of family and friends. Thank you to Mom and Stan for helping us out with the transition.
