12/29/8 What a wonderful Christmas we had. We went to Uncle Shish and Auntie Kate's for Christmas Eve and had lots of people over Christmas night. On Christmas morning Lily busted throught the duct-taped gate at the top of the stairs and came down before Mommy and Daddy. We all woke up to Lily yelling "everyone come downstairs, you have to see this!" That little stinker.
Tommy got lots of choo-choo trains and Lily's big present was the Barbie Mustang. Tommy had an agreement with Santa that if he gave Santa his binkies, Santa would give Tommy choo-choo trains. Believe or not, Tommy hasn't shed a tear and has only asked for it once or twice. Thank you Santa!
9/11/8 Lily had her first day of pre-school today. She was so excited I wasn't sure she'd fall asleep last night. Lily was so good when we dropped her off. She got right down to business coloring. She made it really easy on Mommy and Daddy. I was more emotional ironing her clothes last night. Tommy was so cute, he kept shouting "come on Lily" when we got into the car to drive away. She's only going a couple days a week for a half day, but I think she'll be begging us to let her stay longer in the upcoming weeks.
7/27/8 What a wonderful week we had. We all went to the Cape for 5 days and celebrated Lily's 4th on the beach. Two days after we got home we had her birthday party at the house. All of Lily's friends and family were there. The day was almost perfect. Lily's Baci had to miss the party because she needed to have some tests done at the hospital. She's been short of breath alot lately, and they need to find out why and fix it.
Hope you all enjoy the new pictures.
5/12/8 What happened to my babies? Tommy is 2 and Lily's a beautiful little girl now. Lily will talk your ear off and Tommy's doing his best to keep up with her. Lily is doing awesome learning how to write and Tommy can recognize half the letters in the alphabet and all numbers. Mark and I didn't start asking him to name letters and numbers, he pointed them out to us! I guess Noggin (children's cable tv) isn't half bad!
3/31/8 A few weeks ago we all went to an indoor water-park called Coco-Key. The kids loved it. It's an ideal place for kids 2 to 7ish. Lily loved swimming and Tommy loved walking around and playing in all of the puddles and little water features.
We spent Easter at Auntie Kate and Uncle Shish's house. Auntie Kate's family was there and Lily's grandmothers were also there. Kate's nieces wore the same dress Lily was. Check out the picture of the 3 girls and one lucky little boy.
3/1/8 As you can see from the picture Lily is now enrolled in gymnastics every Tuesday morning. She's had 2 classes so far and loves it!
Tommy is getting so big. He's taller at 2 than Lily was at 2 and 1/2, and he weighs a ton! He says 20 or so words now including hot, bye-bye, eyes and up. He's says about the same amount of words Lily did at his age but he babbles much more. He probably says more than 20 words but we just can't pick up on the real words interlaced within the made up words.
10/6/7 As you all know by now Amy's water broke on the morning of October 5th and the twins were born just a few hours later. They were supposed to arrive Tuesday Oct. 9th, but instead they chose to show their parents who's boss. Little do they know that Andrew is the real boss :-). I finally got to see them Friday night after work and I must say they are the cutest little babies I've every seen. They are absolutely perfect. We're all used to seeing 8 and 9 pounders lately so our little bundles that weighed in at 6lb9oz and 6lb2oz look so delicate and so precious.
10/4/07 We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of new the Lonczak boys. Amy is having a scheduled c-section soon and I will be sure to put all the best pics up on the webite.
Meanwhile, Lily and Tommy are doing great. Lily has made many friends her neighborhood. Today we bought her a scooter so she could have one just like her friends Eric and Kayleah. As soon as we got home she put her helmet and pads on and went straight to their house. Tommy is talking... a little. His favorite phrase is "it's stuck". He says that any time he needs help and of course if one of his toys "is stuck". He know all the sounds animals make and matches them up with the correct animals about half of the time :-) .
7/22/7 Lily had such a good time at her birthday party. She had all her friends at Nana's house for a pool party. We had a cotton candy machine and had hamburgs and hotdogs for dinner. For her cake, Lily said she wanted "a Little Einstein cake with Rocket and Little Einsteins".
I'm pretty sure she loved all of it.
7/4/7 We all went to the fireworks over the weekend and, much to our surprise, Lily and Tommy loved it. I thought for sure they'd both be scared.
Tommy has started talking a little bit now. When I was on the phone with him last Monday he said mama mama. I was soo happy. He's uttered it a couple of times here and there, but never when asked to say it. Now he says it any time HE feels like it. Also, we were reading one of his animal books the other day and he said "mmmm" for cow. He already can say what a doggie says. Actually when asked what any animal says he says "woof, woof". Lily's favorite animal sound was a monkey, so I guess Tommy just likes doggies better.
5/31/7 Well, Lily is officially potty trained!! We started last week on Monday and she hasn't had an accident since last Thursday. She goes by herself and can even take a nap without having an accident. We still put a diaper on her at bedtime but she wakes up dry half the time. We tried several times before last week and she would have 4 or 5 "accidents" in one afternoon. For whatever reason she was ready this time.
5/24/7 As most people probably know by now my sister is having twin boys!! Holy cow! So much for her immaculate house. She's gonna have her hands full, but I'm looking forward to helping out in any way I can. I think she's considering Zach and Jack for names. Too cute! She's due in October, but I'm sure we'll meet them a little sooner than that.
4/24/7 Tommy had his 1 year well visit today and he weighs a whopping 27 pounds! Lily weighed 27 pounds at 18 months, and as we all know, she wasn't a skinny baby. Maybe walking will help him shed a couple of rolls, or maybe he'll just weigh more than his sister by Christmas, then she'll think twice about snatching a toy from him.
4/23/7 TomTom's walking!! He just all of a sudden decided he was going to stand up by himself and then walked to his daddy. He definitely prefers crawling, but likes to show off by walking and then clapping for himself.
4/14/7 Tommy had so much fun at his birthday party. How many babies do you know that could be woken up from a nap and 5 minutes later laugh and smile while 20 kids sang happy birthday to him? He's such a good-natured baby. We all had a great time with all our friends and all their beautiful children. What a difference a few years makes. See you all soon at your kids' parties.
2/18/07 Tommy and Lily are getting so big. Lily has such an imagination now. She can play with scraps of wood molding by herself for an hour. She creates different patterns and shows each new one off to mommy and daddy. She also loves to dress up in her play clothes and whatever she finds around the house. Daddy's gloves and mommy's shoes are favorites.
Tommy crawls very well now. He pulls himself up and just started cruising around the furniture today :-). He feels like he weighs more than Lily when you pick him up. In fact, he's only 5 or so pounds less than her. I can't believe my little baby is going to be 1 in a couple of months. Oh well, I'll just have to hope my friends and family have more babies for me to love.
12/31/6 I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had dinner at our house this year and everything was perfect. We had our immediate family over for dinner and several other family members came over later that night for dessert and coffee. At one point the doorbell was ringing every 15 minutes. I loved it!! It was how I'd always wanted Christmas to be like when Mark and I finally bought our "forever" house.
Tommy just started crawling today and I got it on video. He's been creeping a little bit here and there, but today he's finally doing his own version of crawling. And he's just about the happiest baby you'll every meet and seems to love everyone.
Lily is speaking better and better every day. Her mommy and daddy can understand pretty much everything she says. She knows all her colors and can count to ten... with some coaxing.
We all wish you a happy New Year and hope you enjoy the video.
12/7/6 TomTom has 4 teeth now!! He got his top two front teeth last week and the bottom two finally popped out today. He still isn't crawling, probably due to the fact that he weighs 22 pounds. He's constantly moving, though. He roles all over the floor and tries really hard to crawl. And he's such a happy baby. Any interaction with him yields huge smiles and giggles. I just love him to death.
Lily has got quite a personality now. She likes ordering everyone around with the same tone of voice Mark and I use. Like, "Mama - here - NOW". Of course we tell her that she can't talk to her parents like that, but secretly we think it's kinda cute.
Well that's all for now. Good luck Christmas shopping and I'll try and post pictures from Andy's Christening next week.
11/23/6 I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for this year. We have been blessed with 2 happy and healthy nephews, 1 beautiful baby boy of our own, and we continue to be thankful for that 1 special little girl. We all went to Nana's house and spent the day with Nana, Baci, Stan, Auntie Amy, Uncle Connor, Uncle Shish and Auntie Kate. We ate lots and lots of Turkey, everyone except Lily that is. She has a little cold and is on a hunger strike now. Tommy ate all his dinner though. Daddy blended up some turkey with all the fixings for him and he enjoyed his first Thanksgiving dinner.
God bless you and yours this holiday season.
10/22/06 Tommy had his 6 month check-up last Tuesday and weighed 19 pounds 15 and 1/2 ounces. I should have fed him before he was weighed so he could get to 20 pounds :-). As you can tell from the pictures he is sitting up now. He's trying to crawl but doesn't get very far. Mostly, he gets mad that he can't go anywhere and spits-up on mommy's carpet because most of his weight is on his belly when he's trying to crawl. We go through a lot of Resolve in this house.
