6/29/06 I am 22 weeks today and we thought it was a good time to change things up a bit.=) Without meaning to, we have found a new name for our baby boy. His name is now Logan Ryan. Unless this baby becomes a girl again at the next ultrasound, we will not be changing the name again. Erik got feel the baby kick for the first time today. It was very exciting. Everytime he has tried to feel him move, the baby gets shy. 6/14/2006 Erik and I went to the Perinatologist today and learned our little girl has now become a little boy! I guess we have to return all of the bedding and pink clothes. You hear of these stories but never believe they actually happen. We got a video tape of the ultrasound. The baby is measuring 7 1/2 inches long, which is normal. We also learned with my bicornuate uterus, I will more than likely have the baby early. We then went next door to see our OB and she explained the next few months of the pregnancy. If I continue to have contractions they will put me on weekly progesterine shots and put me on bedrest. If that does not work, they will put me in the hospital for the rest of the pregnancy and put me on a medication to stop labor that consists of magnesium sulfate and steroids and they will give me a catheder and an IV. For now they have restricted my activity and eliminated travel. They will keep a very close watch on me. I also still have not gained any weight during the last 20 weeks, so the doctor told me I have to drink a milkshake a day, and they want to see a gain of a minimum of three pounds by the next appointment. 6/13/2006 Today was an intersting day. I spent last night and today at the hospital; I was having early contractions. They put me on a fetal and uterine monitor. I was having 3 contractions in 10 minutes. The baby is fine; moving like an acrobat. They gave me a shot to stop the contractions. We got to come home after the contractions stopped and I was ordered to be on strict bed rest. We go to the perinatologist and OB tomorrow. 5/24/2006 I went to the doctor today and had an ultrasound and....It's a Girl!!!!!! Her name is Reese Nicole. Her great-grandmother, Evelyn was with me to see little Reese wiggle and suck her thumb. I told Erik all along it was a girl. We are so excited! 5/1/2006 I am officially in my 14th week today and second trimester. Erik and I went to the doctor last Thursday and got to hear the heartbeat. You always hear it is the best sound ever; that's true! My pants are all too tight in the tummy now; it will soon be time to break out the dreaded maternity pants. My next doctor's appointment is May 24 and then on June 15, we will find out the sex of Little Lindholm...can't wait!!! All of my pregnant friends are having boys. I think this one's a girl. Erik and I have a bet going. I think he is scared of it being a girl, beacuse if she is anything like her mother, he will be broke. =) 3/30/2006 Our 3rd appointment and ultrasound revealed our first look at a real human being. The photos don't really reveal it, but we were able to see the little buds that will be the arms and legs, the spinal cord beginning to develop, and the umbilical cord. Also, we were able to see the black and white flutter of the heartbeat. It looked a lot like a hummingbird. 3/17/2006 We had our second doctor's appointment, and second ultrasound. Two sacs became one, and one tiny baby emerged. 3/10/2006 We had our first doctor's appointment and our first ultrasound...Oh my God, it might be twins! Two sacs showed their face, but only one would remain...
2/28/2006 Erik and I found out we were pregnant today!!! Erik was out of town at a conference and I had to leave him a voicemail to tell him the big news. I was too excited and could not wait until he got home late that night.
