Precious Joshua,

My Joy as a grandmother began on Christmas day.  Your mommy and daddy couldn't have given me a more beautiful Christmas gift.  It is hard to believe you are 6 weeks old today.  You have occupied my every waking thought, and you seem to be part of my every nightime dream.  My heart has been so comforted to know that your mommy has been holding you so close to her heart.  I can only imagine how special you are feeling at those very moments, laying on her chest, sleeping to the rhythm of her heartbeat and knowing the sound of her voice.  I am praying constantly to our God above, for you, our little HERO.

Baby Joshy,

How blessed you are to have such a wonderful mommy and daddy who love and care for you in such a special way.  Your extended family (who you will meet someday - wait till you see how many of them there are) has been praying for you constantly, but you know you have answered my prayers too just by following you difficult, but remarkable, journey.  You have given me continuous reminders that my troubles are minute compared to others, your strength has given me courage to remain strong through all adversities, your innocent will has given me a little more determination to get moving, and the faith of your parents and family has solidified mine even more.  I can't wait to hold you in my arms someday.  Remember, God has a special plan for you, right now He is grooming you for the job - anything worth having is hard work and sometimes a struggle!  Keep working hard and getting bigger and stronger.  We all love you so much.  You are the first great-great Gatt grandchild - quite an honor!  You do us proud.

Dearest Joshua Joseph,

You have a wonderful mom and dad, which I am so proud of.  They have given their all, and more, because they love you.  We all love you so much.  You are the sweetest baby I have ever seen.  I remember when I came to visit you I whispered, "Hi Joshua," and you opened your eyes and looked at me for a minute.  That one glance told me you knew I was there and it made me so happy.  I was at church today and I prayed for God to touch you and make you well.  I know He was listening.  I can't wait to hold you in my arms close to my heart.  My life would be complete!

Please Dear Lord, Virgin Mary, Mother of God, all the Angels and Saints, please help our miracle baby get well and suffer no more.  Amen.
