7 Nov - Dad took all three kiddos to a "Family Day" on base.  The boys had fun trying out everything...Ashlee wouldn't let Daddy put her down the whole time!

15 Oct 09 - The First Lady came to Eglin AFB today for a visit, mom was lucky enough to get to go and hear her (Dad gave up his spot so she could go)....the event was held inside an Air Force hangar and it was much like a sauna with about 800+ people sweating and sweating!  The First Lady pressed on through it and delivered a very personable message to the military and the folks who support them everyday....the "Military Family!"  I'm really glad I got to go.

24 Aug - I'll do a recap story of our trip to Disney World tonight when I try to upload some of the pics from our trip there last week.  We were at Disney from 17 - 22 August and then today...BOOM!!!!  The boys', Brett & Gabriel started Kindergarten....Dad did a great job capturing it on film, so Mom had better update the photos and get them posted for everyone!  There were no tears....no hold-outs...everyone was great...well Ashlee tried to go to school too, but she 's got  to wait, Mom isn't going to put her in Preschool until she is 3 and only for 3 days then.  Or so that is the plan for now.  I can't have all of the babies out of the house at the same time!  Though a few of my neighbors had that happen and they looked really excited this morning!?!?!  LOL

10 Aug - Yesterday was stormy over the ocean so we went a bit more inland to the bay and got a break on the wind and sand blowing everywhere.  We found a great little place that was shallow way out so all the kiddos got play, play, play.

We leave for our Disney trip in 7 days!  Whohoo...It's a pirate themed- vacation.  We're staying at a Disney resort with Pirate suite-themed rooms and the fist night we're eve going to a Pirate Dinner Adventure (think like Medieval Times but for Pirates!) Fun Fun!

Mom will have her birthday on vacation and she wants to spend it at the Magic Kingdom!  Maybe relive shome childhood memories with "It's a Small World!"  LOL

We are so shell-shocked that the boys' start school in 2 weeks!  My babies...they are going to kindergarten!  What happened?!

Anyway, we are enjoying the last of our summer days and Mom starts back to school TONIGHT! Ugh....no rest for the wicked (I mean weary)   LOL

16 Jul - Man the summer is flying by...we've still got lots of things planned with the BIGGIE being another trip to DisneyWorld in August before the boys' start Kindergarten.  We had so much fun last time, but this time we are staying in one of the Disney Resorts.  The Carribean...we've even got upgraded to the Pirate-themed suites.  suffice to say Brett is really stoked about that.

    Some cute stories lately:

1) Ashlee was being quite pesky wwith Gabriel one mroning, ALOT, and I kept telling him to just ignore her.  After a few more minutes and even more agitation from his baby sister Gabriel says, "She just won't leave me alone!"  To which I reply, "Just IGNORE her!"  Gabriel's response??  "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!"  priceless really...

2) Potty training with Ashlee has begun but in a "non-threatening" take your time way.  She's doing pretty well all together.  She definetely understands the potty concept but sometimes she gets too caught up in play with her brothers and well accidents occur!

Sure there is soooo much more to update but that's it for today...promise more updates on a more regular basis....

29 June - Such a very busy week we've had around the Lombardi homestead!  Brett is riding his bike without training wheels (a little bit of hesitancy) but he is doing it!  Ashlee well as you can tell she turned two and had a small family party on her actual birthday 25 June (shout to Auntie Sharon who shares the same birthday!).  We had her Wonder Woman themed party on Saturday and my goodness the kids around the neighborhood are still talking about what a good time they had.

Everything was geared for them...the activities...decorations...even the food menu was child-friendly!  Alot of party planning but SO VERY VERY worth it.  PLUS we had Granma Jesse here to lend a BIG helping hand and enjoy this wonderful occasion with us.  Thank you!!  Friends and neighborsw (much like family) helped out so it was a great time for everyone!  It turned into a marathon party it last over 3 hours.  We had activities like water gun aiming, shooting Superman silly String webs, flying SUperman on the trampoline, hide and go seek the hidden kryptonite and put it into the lead box, lasso (hula hoop) the Batman bop bag, and let's not forget the Pinata filled with soooo much candy!

Snack time, lunchtime, cake and ice cream time, opening the presents...it was a great party!  There even became an after party with the adults going next door to make lumpia while the guys played horsehoes until it got dark and they put some glow sticks on the stakes!  It was a riot!

All-in-all what a fabulous time!  Now Mom is focusing back on school work and getting all geared up for our August trip to DisneyWorld before the boys' start Kindergarten....man on man the time is flying by....

8 June - Oh thank goodness there was a God's day of rest yesterday...from the Pirate festival!  Tonight is the grand finale with the Pirate Parade.  So yep we'll be there for that too!  This was our first year to get involved/go and all and man did we do it up right!  You can see from the addition of Day Two and Three pics we had a blast.  Even ran into our neighbors who got us all backstage to meet Cowboy Troy...Mom's notoo familiar with his music but he was such a cordial person...not a drama bone to be found.  The concert was great, the food fab, the kids did all the activities they could find, caught some more beads, met some pirates and Pirate princes and princesses....it has really been an enjoyable weekend for the whole family!!

20 May 09 - Heavens me...where has the time gone?  Today was the boys' last day of Pre-K...there was a lovely ceremony with songs and dances...a tear jerker slideshow (if the pictures of your little ones don't get you then the music always does!)  Ashlee really enjoyed watching her brothers perform...all of the kids for that matter...she sang and danced with everybody!  At one point when the slideshow ended she said (quite loud enough for all to hear..."Oh man!") The boys' were so very excited to be graduating and they are looking forward to summer vacation and Kindergarten in the fall.  We are all so very proud of our "big" little guys!

14 May 09 - What a wonderful Mother's Day this year (and every year!)  Mom went to the boys' school for a Mommy-n-me tea Party.  She brought china cups & saucers and after our party we all danced together.  These boys' have got some moves on the dance floor!

The boys' made lots of really special keepsake things for Mom this year but one in particular must be shared.  It was their repsonses to some fill in the blanks about Mom.  So here goes, Brett & Gabe both answered her name is: Miss Autumn.  Brett said she is 15 years old while Gabriel said she is 8 or 9 years old.  They both agreed mom's favorite food is daddy's sauce.  Brett said she lies to drink soda and Gabriel said soda.  Gabriel said she likes to watch - boys stuff and girls stuff and Brett said Funniest Home Videos.  "While I am at school...." Brett said she goes away and Gabriel said she goes home and does nothing. (LOL) My favorite thing she makes me is ...Brett said lunch and Gabe said noodles.  "When we are together" Brett said we play at the playground and Gabriel said we go to a restaurant and bring it home.  "She looks pretty when..." Brett said "she gets a dress on" and Gabriel said "she gets sauce on her face"  And "I love my mom because" Gabriel said because she's in my family...Brett said because I like her.

Oh I'll be keeping these FOREVER!!  Suffice to say I did shed some tears of love, joy and wonder at my precious children.  They are so very wonderful and I know how truly blessed I AM to be the lucky one they call Mom!

6 April - Spring Break has ended for the boys' and it's back to school.  They thought that since they turned five they'd be going to Kindergarten now.  They were indeed disheartened to learn that they have to finish the year out in Pre-K before they can go to Kindergarten and ride the bus with their friends from the neighborhood.  However, once they got in class this morning they were back to their usual antics!

Miss Ashlee seems to like having the whole house back to herself, but I'm sure when we pick the boys' up this afternoon she'll be VERY excited to see them!

Pictures have been updated from a trip to the beach, Mom took the kids during the week.  And Dad took them to a birthday party at the roller skating rink...suffice to say these guys did pretty good for NEVER having had on a pair of skates before.  Plenty of time was spent falling and getting back up but Daddy assures that fun was had by all...even Ashlee tried for a bit!

31 March 2009 - WOW....so long since Mom has updated the story section!  Let's start with the big birthday weekend...Brett & Gabriel are officially 5-year-olds!!  My goodness time surely flies...what a celebration we've had all weekend long.  Saturday they had their birthday party at Gymnastics.  Friends from school and the nieghborhood came to enjoy some serious "exercise" as Gabriel said.  Lots of pics check out the fun, Ashlee even got in on all of the obstacles.  Afterwards we went out to lunch and came home so Daddy could put the boys' trampoline up for some more fun!  Sunday the boys' helped move their bedrooms...they have split up and each has their own room now.  Brett has the "movie" room with tv, dvd, vcr for showtime.  Gabriel has a tv and the wii for some serious gametime.  It's been a few nights now and they seem to have adapted just fine.  What big boys' we have, Daddy laughs because now he has 3 rooms to check before bed..   :-)   Monday was the boys' "actual" birthday, after breakfast and opening birthday gifts from the family we all headed to Panama City Beach for a full day of Birthday Fun!

We started with a Pirate Cruise aboard the "Sea Dragon".  What fun that was for everybody!  The Pirate Captain and his crew took care of the bigger kids and had them doing so much stuff!  They had water fights, they swabbed the deck, they got face paint and hats, they had sword fights, they sot the cannons, they spotted DOLPHINS, they helped find a sunken treasure and there was even birthday dancing!  Ashlee loved it too, and Mom and Dad got a little break while watching the kids have BIG FUN!!

After the cruise we headed over to Pirate Island for some "goofy golf".  More pics of that!  The boys had fun here too, it was their first time playing miniature golf and Mister Gabriel got a HOLE-IN-ONE on the second hole!  No joke...we were really impressed.  Brett just loved all of the Pirate themed activities and he really enjoyed chasing his gholf ball.  Ashlee hit a few holes but just prefered to carry her ball to the hole...too funny!

Following "goofy golf" we headed to dinner and stuffed ourselves!  The wait staff came over with ice cream sundaes for the boys' and sang a funny "Happy Birthday" to the twins'.  After some really good behavior we headed to Toys-R-Us to let the boys' use up their birthday gift cards.  They each selected a few MORE gifts (totally raked in the loot this year!).  We loaded up the car and headed home.  A full Birthday and some sleeping kiddos pulled into the driveway after 8 p.m.  Oddly enough they all woke up and wanted baths before bedtime.  Mom and Dad obliged and the boys' took a gift to bed before turning in for the night.

Today, 31 March and Daddy has been putting together Lego sets and assembling Hot Wheel racetracks.  Brett has been playing with Indiana Jones and the Activity Set and Gabriel has been breaking in his new Monster Truck game on the Wii.  Wow, what an awesome celebration!!!  Thanks to everyone for the cards, gifts, and birthday wishes.  Love to you all!!

21 Dec - Oh my have we been B-U-S-Y!!  Most recently we just returned from a weeklong vacation to DisneyWorld...what a blast!  Everyone had a great time and we've uploaded some pics from the trip...we went to all of the parks twice and did just about everything!  There was something for everyone and we all had lots of fun...the weather was even warm enough that the kiddos got to swim (heated outdoor pool) at the resort.

Gabriel LOVED the roller coasters...he rode the extreme everest expedition 4 times!  No kidding he loved it.  Brett rode it once but was not overly joyed about it.  Brett did however, LOVE the Star Wars attraction, the Indiana Jones show, the Pirates of the Carribean ride and It's a Small World.  Mom & Brett sang that song for everyone Over and Over!

Ashlee even got to meet some of the Princesses!  Belle made a point to come over to Ashlee in line and give her special attention before the meet & greet started.  Ashlee had no problem hugging on the Disney Princesses, she met and loved on Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and of course her new favorite...Belle.  It was such a sweet thing for Mom and daughter (the boys' were at the racetrack with Daddy).

Taking a break from the update...lunch for the gang and we'll be back.

1 Nov - What a blast we had last night for Halloween.  As you can see from the pics we took our "Star Wars" theme to the MAX!  Daddy was Hans Solo, Ashlee was Chewbacca, Mom was Princess Leia, Brett was Anakin Skywalker, and Gabriel was a Clone Trooper.  We had so much fun walking the neighborhood.  We all went for the first half and then Daddy went back to hand out candy and Mom and the kids walked some more.  Then Gabriel and Ashlee stayed back with Daddy to hand out candy and Mom and Brett finished up the rest of the neighborhood.  After all Halloween IS Brett's favorite holiday (outside of Christmas and Birthdays).  So we really had a good time this year, and the boys' and Ashlee are expanding their play costume closet!

22 July - Daddy is back in school for another week...he came home for a nice weekend visit.  Everyone sure was glad to see him...lots of long hugs and missed you Daddy kisses!!  A great weekend but he had to head back to Alabama for another week of school....we're healthy here so we have lots of activities going on to keep us busy and burn off ENERGY!!  Daddy is coming back this weekend so we're looking forward to that again.

10 July - Whoa...three kids sick...now this is rough....on us all.  They've all got nasty colds, Gabriel was running a fever yesterday but the worst for all three is upon us today.  Fevers all around...coughs...yucky runny noses.  Mom has strategically located boxes of kleenexes in every room of the house and is just pumping everyone full of fluids. Gonna be a loooooooooong day!  Wish us well...literally!

8 July - The boys' made it safely back from their long road trip to Texas.  See for yourself with the newest pics, looks like they had alot of adventure in a very short time.  And for the newest development Ashlee is walking.  She's all over the place.  She has a good 4-6 step stride now and sometimes can go even longer.  We're all so very proud of our little toddler.
