19 Feb - As you can see yesterday we had some camera fun in the morning. Mom dressed Ashlee up and we (Mom & Gabriel) took a bunch of pics. Enjoy!
Later we went to the park where the boys' had a blast with some new friends playing Spiderman...they got loads of exercise! Couple that with some slow pitch-ball with Mom in the front yard while Ashlee napped and they got some good workouts in yesterday. Oh let's not forget trampoline time and climbing the tree!
At the park Ashlee got to sit down in the sand and you'd have thought she transformed into a bulldozer! She loved sccoping and raking the sand...Mom only had to tell her three times not to put it in her mouth, "It's not finger food" to be exact.
Then it was go grab Icee's and home to watch some America's Funniest Home Videos...the boys' are really into those clips now. It's so fun to all be sitting around laughing hysterically!

18 Feb - What a great visit we all had with Auntie Deb. She came bearing her trademark gifts of extremely cool books, which the boys' always love! Auntie Deb got a first hand demonstration of how "organized chaos" plays out. She was so much help for Mom we actually saw some laughs and smiles!!
Ashlee is pulling herself up to stand all by herself, she's walking with Mom holding her hands, and she's wokring on crawling but she keeps trying to lift herself up to stand so it gets a bit funny! The boys are so good with her and love to make her laugh.
A recent visit to the local flea market was a huge hit with the boys', they scored some really cool toys. Gabriel even asked "When can we go back to the chicken mart?" Mom just laughed and laughed at that one.
This morning while Mom was feeding baby sister Gabe was hanging out with us and he said, "You're checking to make sure it's not too hot...you're a really good Mom" WOW that just melts you when it comes so honestly from a child!
Well breakfast was a bit messy for Ashlee so we're doing early bath!!

11 Feb - The boys' recently had an appointment where they had height and weight checks....at 3 years 10 months & 1 week...Gabriel is 43 & 5/8" tall and weighs 41 lbs....Brett is 42 & 7/8" tall and weighs 40 lbs.   Doing great and getting really tall!

10 Feb - To start the weather was absolutely gorgeous!!  Like 73 and beautiful sunshine.....sooo we headed out for the day.  Mom thought, hey let's try the flea market...might be fun!  Miss Ashlee ditched the car seat/stroller combo and just rode sitting up in her stroller like the big girl she is!  The boys' were perfect!  Mom was worried about them going off but they stayed with a hand on the stroller unless they were looking at something with Mom.  Needless to say they really enjoyed themselves, such a different experience from the norm.  And Mom knew there was a special store for each boy.  One seller with nothing but Hot Wheels and another seller with Movie/TV Show action figures.  They had so much fun looking at everything.  We even ate like we were at the state fair...ice cream cones and icees!!  Whohoooooo. The boys even got to ride the carousel...what a perfect day!  Ashlee was wonderful too...she just sat up and looked at everything...no napping with such action!    Just a great day!

9 Feb - Happy Birthday Great Uncle Mitch!!

Today's update is a list of quotes that Mom has been jotting down so she doesn't forget, they are always coming up with something!  Baby girl Ashlee is sticking out her tongue, blowing raspberries and babbling all of the time.

Here are the recent cute bits from the boys':

Gabriel said this to Brett as we were driving to the store (they were arguing about who's turn it was to talk to Mom)...Gabe says, "Don't talk to her, you'll freak her out while she's driving!"

This was from Brett.  We had gotten home with a new toy, requiring much assembly (megablock/lego spiderman and spaceship)  It kept coming apart as Mom was trying to put it together and Mom was getting a BIT frustrated.  Brett came over and gently put his hand on Mom's shoulder saying, "It's okay Mom you're doing a great job!"  Oh I melted!!

This happened after Mom finished with Ashlee's new room.  The boys' had been watching her struggle with all of that furniture swapping and when she was done they both came in to the room, looked around very thoroughly and said, "Mom what a beautiful room, great job Mom"  Who knew that positive strokes from my boys' could feel so amazing!

And the last one for now, while we were all watching one of Mom's shows...don't remember what it was...the t.v. dialogue had a "Holy S*%T"...Gabriel repeated that phrase and Mom said "No Gabriel that isn't something we say".  To which he replied, "But he said 'Holy Crap'...you know Mom 'Holy Moly'".  How on earth did he know the various ways to say that phrase?  I'm still puzzled.

I tell you we are NO butter knives around here...life is NEVER dull!!

4 Feb - Bummer...we all watched the Superbowl...Ashlee even had her "special" Patriots bib and that wasn't enough.  Daddy called after the game...poor Daddy...he took the loss well, disappointed...tired (he was watching it at 3 a.m.) but he's fine.

Today we have a day of crafts...gonna be working on some Valentine goodies.  Well it's breakfast time for the whole Lombardi crew, gotta run...

2 Feb -   LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULLEZ!!  We had so much fun today!  We all met & went to the local Mardi Gras parade with friends on the beach.  With the exception of Mom's "malfunction" <vehicle related> we had a great time!  The boys caught lots of beads, moonpies and other goodies...Ashlee slept for nearly 2/3rds of the parade until the local high school marching band came by and woke her up...but even that was great because once Mom held her up close everyone was stopping to put beads on the baby girl!  What a great time we had...thanks so much Stacey for the invite!

Ashlee girl is sleeping in the crib tonight...so Mom is up on the computer....she's so accustomed to having her snuggle buddy!  But with the new arrangement of furniture...see pics tomorrow!  Ashlee has her very own nursery...separate from Mommy...so far it's a hit with everybody, the boys' love to hang out in their and play with her and talk to her.  Then they get bored and she yells because she doesn't want them to leave.

More news tomorrow...been a busy day.  Gotta get some rest so we can have our own Superbowl Party here at the house....we're gonna do football stuff ALL DAY in honor of Daddy and the PATS!

2 Feb - HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAWPAW!!!  We hope you have a great day!  Love you & miss you....see you in March!!

27 Jan - The boys' are getting over the worst of their colds, just a bit of coughing left.  Ashlee is about to kick her cold as well....Mommy has a touch of a cold but is just drinking alot of hot tea...can't get the boys' to try it...they don't go for hot chocolate either!  Oh well at least we all still have our appetites!

The hottest trend around here now is Spiderman...we had a movie night marathon and watched all THREE movies...we had Spiderman mac'n cheese for lunch and hot dogs that Mom cut to look like Spiders!!  Cool....We also found some AWESOME Spiderman popsicles at the grocery (there were Venom, Green Goblin and Spiderman) suffice to say if left to their own devices the boys' would have eaten the ENTIRE box in one day!  Mom really had to work on rationing ...

Today we have some guests.  TJ (8) and Dillon (10) are staying with us while their Mom has to work.  The boys' were so excited to have company, Mom told them to pace themselves...they'll be here visiting for about 12 hours so there will be lots of time for play.

Well it's 7 a.m. so Mom needs to get in a cup of coffee before baby sister wakes up!

23 Jan - Well we are going through an awful lot of kleenexes around here.  The boys' caught colds and of course now baby sister has one too.  Mom's gotta stay tough, we can't afford for her to get sick these days!  Coughing, sniffling, sneezing, that's the music we are making these days.  Funny thing, being sick hasn't slowed these guys down one bit!  Seems like every time we get one disaster zone cleaned up they are moving on to another!  The latest, well that was a true demolition site.  This very morning Brett comes to Mom and says" I'm sorry we broke it..."  Knowing this can never be a good thing Mom heads with him to their bedroom...and sure enough they had moved a table over to their closet and climbed up on the shelf..breaking it completely off of the wall.  Mom just calmly escorted everyone out and closed their door....she took the Scarlett O'Hara approach and "it can wait until later!"

18 Jan - Daddy's been gone for 10 days now.  The boys' love that they can watch a video with Daddy reading them stories, it really helps them stay connected.  We're settling into a routine of sorts.  Mommy even got to the gym once this week.  Next week we'll shoot for twice!!  Such big helpers these guys are.  I'm so very proud of them and their many accomplishments.

We decided to rent some different "Wii" games to try out.  Brett picked "Spiderman" surprise??  And Gabriel picked a racing "Cars" one.  let's just say I see some real gamer skills in Gabe.  His driving ability at such a young age is remarkable...but we knew that from his motorized Escalade in the yard.  Brett is such a director...he asks for "Spiderman" but doesn't have the patience yet to learn the button functions so he gets Gabe to play it for him!!  This tickles Gabe because he can play more!  And Ashlee just watches those two nutball brothers of hers...she can't wait to get in the thick of things with them.

Slef-feeding, finger foods I.E. Cherrios are going great.  Ashlee can now manage to get quite a bit to her mouth and she's proud when she does.  When she can't get one in her mouth she yells at it...I don't have the heart to tell her that's not going to make it jump in her mouth!  She's beginning to want to try to pull herself up if she's ever got the chance.  A bit of crawling, scooting and comando crawl are going on these days.  We've got a busy day today.  Should make for some early bedtimes for us ALL!

17 Jan - HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANMA JESSE!!!  WE LOVE YOU & SEND YOU HUGS * KISSES!!!

15 Jan - PART II - Ashlee had her 6-month check-up and Daddy took her AND the boys.  Mommy had a very productive appointment with the VA (looks like she'll be going back to school for a Master's in Counseling and Psychology).  Anyway her newest stats are: 25 3/4" tall and 17 lbs and 3 oz (Mommy and Granma June think they must have left her legs off of the scales!!!)  she is in the 50% for height and 75% for weight.  Keep growing baby Ashlee...you'll be chasing those brothers soon enough!!  She's doing fabulous with solids and loves, loves to eat!!! All-time favorite is Sweet Peas...cause she IS one herself!!

15 Jan - Yes it's been awhile...but soooo much has happened.  Let's work our way to the present from the past month or so.  December saw the Lombardi "Krewe" taking the road trip adventure for the holidays in New England.  In one word...AMAZING!  We drove from Florida to Massachussets, spent over a week with Rob's family and then headed back through Kentucky to stop in with Autumn's parents for a visit.  Such a loooong trip but SOOOO worth it.  The children were FANTASTIC!!  The boys' were wonderful and LOVED the adventure, not to mention that every stop at a hotel had an indoor pool!!  Miss Ashlee, well what a dream baby she was the entire time.  It definetely made Mom and Dad think car trips could be great "forced" family fun!  No really it was just super....the holidays were great and it was such a joy to be with such loving people enjoying a beautiful white New England Christmas.

The boys' adored everyone and playing in the snow was a favorite activity.  Mom and Dad even got to slip away and go see a Pats game...that would be a highlight for Daddy for years to come!  Also, topping his list would be getting to spend Christmas with his family...something he hadn't done in over 16 years!  All in all it was just to incredible for words...what wonderful memories we will always have and cherish.

Upon returning to Florida it was time for Daddy to prepare for his 4-month deployment.  A not so wonderful time.  Noone wanted to see him leave but knowing that he'd return made it a little easier.  Daddy safely made it to the Middle East in early January, he sure does miss us all....just like we miss him everyday.

The boys' are adjusting to the fact that Daddy is gone for a long work trip.  It helps that he recorded himself reading bedtime stories and the boys' can one watch one at night before going to bed.  Gabe just lights up when he sees his Daddy's face and Brett walks up to the screen and gives Daddy kisses.  Baby girl even settles down to turn and listen/watch for her Daddy.

Things are going smoothly and Mom is getting everyone settled into a routine of sorts.  Speaking of which gotta take a break from the computer....more updates in a bit.

15 Jan - An update is coming....check back today...

7 Dec - Last night we all went to the Membership Night at "Zoo Lights"  It was fun, fun, fun.  There were over a million lights and we HAD to see each one!  Baby sister slept most of the time but she got to see some and hear some choral Christmas music.  It was loads of fun...even had some fun with all the Christmas lights we saw on the ride there and back! We had to yell "I see some Christmas lights", or "There's a Snowman!" or "Another Santa".
Mom can add another title to her growing list of job descriptions -- Tooth Extractor!  Brett had his consult with the surgeon...though she was a delightfully refreshing surgeon and very sincere with Brett he was still a bit traumatized from the last experience.  His surgeon told Mom (she went with him this time) that "mother-to-mother, if it were her child she'd just pull it at home".  So Mom prepped both herself and verbally Brett for a few days.  Then we did it!  That darn tooth was just hanging on by a tiny bit.  Brett was such a brave boy and man was he excited that he got a visit from the tooth fairy!  However, on the same note I had to explain to Gabriel that this wasn't the way to go...we should really wait until the teeth are ready to come out on their and THEN let the tooth fairy come for the "exchange".  He understood and Brett loves that he can eat and not have that wiggly tooth in the way.
Also speaking of teeth, Miss Ashlee has a WICKED chopper!  Mom says she doesn't remember the boys' being so sharp.  Anyhoo she has one pearl that has finally broken through the surface and another is one the way.  Man keeping up with everything is tough!  Good thing there aren't any "Mommy suspense dates or deadlines!"

6 Dec - Lots to update, Mom's behind again but we're all cutting her some slack, it's the Holiday Spirit!  Let's see we had a great road trip up to see Grandma Jesse and Pawpaw.  Thanksgiving was wonderful everyone had a fabulous time.  Lots of pictures from the visit - thanks Granma Jesse!
Now the countdown is on for our LONG road trip/adventure to Mass.  We're giving ourselves plenty of time so it should be a great time.  Even Miss Ashlee was a fantastic traveler.  We've made countdowns for the boys to help them understand how much longer...though Brett still likes to ask about 10 times a day if we're going to Granma June's.  They are so excited about everything!  This year should really see them on their game, they are growing up so darn fast!
Speaking of growing, whoa Miss Ashlee.  She's loving baby food and has now earned the nickname "Sweet Pea"  as this is her ultimate favorite thus far.  That's one baby food that there is absolutely NO cleanup...not a drop misses her mouth and she's gobbling more!  And she continues to amaze us, she is a complete sitter.  She had a few days of the "round butt" but all of sudden she was just sitting!  Man she's awesome...her hair is really starting to come in now, blonde with a slight reddish tint.  Eyes are defenitely blue and constantly watching EVERYTHING!  She's super observant and VERY communicative.  So chatty...the boys love her too. Already very protective...just like Daddy!  She certainly has him wrapped around her megawatt smile.

16 Nov - Update to the 4 month stats. I thought it would be neat to see how the boys' were at 4 months. So here's everybody's 4 month stats:
Brett - weighed : 16 lbs. 8 ounces length: 25 1/2
Gabriel - weighed: 17 lbs. 10 ounces length: 25 1/4
Ashlee - weighed: 15 lbs. 7 1/2 ounces length: 26
Now for the newest stories. Unfortunately we'll start with the big OWIE. That belongs to Brett. As many might remember about a year ago he lost a tooth on the bottom, well he never "lost" it he fell and knocked it loose and had to have it surgically removed. It was quite a traumatic experience for both Brett and Daddy (he took him to the surgeon's). Well, history DOES have a way of repeating itself. He fell last night and whacked his jaw knocking another tooth loose on the bottom. ***Ashlee needs Mommy...back soon****  Okay back from gietting lunch for everyone.  Ashlee is getting to where she wants more of the cereal these days.  Next week we'll try some veggies!  Anyway, back to Brett...he had to go in this morning to see the dentist and they recommend ANOTHER surgical extraction.  Well he has a consult tomorrow and we'll keep everyone updated.  Poor kid...his food choices are a bit limited right now with that loose tooth.  But it surely hasn't slowed him down...they are off running and playing as I type.
Daddy took the boys' to see "Bee Movie" they really liked it.  They just like going to the movie theater...lots of popcorn and such!  I can't remember all I was going to put down here so I'll try again tomorrow!  Kind of "foggy Mommy brain" going on right now.

8 Nov --      Story Time -Take Two --
At the library Brett goes in and stays for story time and Gabriel goes in and comes back out, deciding to stay behind with Mom and baby sister.  Why?  The theme was music and Gabe said "Mom they are TOO loud, can you make them be quiet for story time?"  To which I replied" Gabriel, I can't make you and Brett be quiet, what makes you think I can make a whole room FULL of boys and girls be quiet?"  LOL  We just had our own story time and waited for Brett to come back out.

Ashlee has found another vocal ability...the screach.  It's hilarious she just loves to screach, it's a blend of a scream, a laugh and a squeal.  She does it all of the time...she is definetely a communicator!

Santa list/board.  All of the toy catalogues started flooding in and the "I wants" began in all earnest....soooo  we got creative.
 1) Foam board ($3)
 2) Spray Adhesive ($4)
 3) Pictures of toys and stickers/bows to decorate ($0)
Memories of how proud they are of their Santa list...PRICELESS

Kudos to Gabriel who today saw the trash truck and noticed our trash wasn't by the curb..."Momma we have to take our trash for the dump truck!" Off we went to get it out there...he was sooo proud of himself!
