10/25/05--Well Kenzie is a BIG sister now as of the 10th of Oct. She really didn't like him at first and when you ask her what you wanted to do with him she would tell you in the garbage he can go...And that is no joke. Now she is warming up to him and has even gave him a couple kisses. But when she comes home and the baby is home she is asking and looking for him. She is helping a lot getting the diapers and throwing them out. For the first week she acted out and then I think she realized that he wasn't going anywhere and he was staying. But if you ask if that is her brother she says NO, but if someone gets near him she says that is HER BROTHER. They are so different but at the sametime so much the same.
9/17/05--Well Kenzie is soon to be a BIG sister. She is all about babies now. No matter where we are she sees a baby gets all excited. I think she is going to do great. I am out of work now and spending some quality time alone with my girl as she must know the baby will be coming soon. She also has gone pee-pee on her little potty and then the other night she went poop on the BIG potty in the bathroom. She was so excited and dancing and singing that she went poop..lol It was so cute.
8/4/05--This month we finally got a day to spend with Daddy as he has been so busy with work and we got to go to 2 different zoo's in one day. Kenzie loved it. She said monkey out of the blue as we where looking at one and we got her a little monkey stuffed animal that she LOVES.
7/3/05--Well today is Mackenzie's 2nd Birthday. We can't believe it. Boy has time flown. We are having a Dora The Explorer party for her. She is growing up to fast and is such a little sponge...learning everything. She is still swimming twice a week and loves it. She is learning so many things in daycare as well. And she still loves to be outside. She don't care if it is raining or 95 degrees out.
6/4/05--Kenzie is a wonderful little girl experienceing new things left and right and it is amazing to see them through her eyes. She loves to be outdoors and playing 24/7 if we would let her. She is really active and sometimes hard to keep up with. She is a little helper though loves to help with everything.
5/23/05--Kenzie is being a BIG girl still. She is telling us when she goes potty so she can be changed. And sometimes she tells us before she goes so we can put her on the potty. So, it is a start.
4/18/05--Kenzie is now in a BIG girl bed and loving it. We re-did her room so she would really feel like a BIG girl. We got her new bedding, new items to hang on the walls and a new border to put up. She loves it and has done great. The first couple nights where only 3 hours in it and then the 3rd night and ever since she has been sleeping in it. We are very proud of her.
3/14/05--Kenzie is doing great in swimming. She is holding onto the edge herself and kicking her little short legs. And she pulls herself along the edge as well. She does have a tube on her as she is doing it and someone is right there with her, but she wants to go all by herself.
2/10/05--Mackenzie is all over the place and a climbing monkey. She loves to get into everything and explore. She loves the pots and pans now. Making noise really weather it is her toys or something else. She is a little ham.
1/6/2005--Mackenzie loves daycare and has been having a great time when she goes. She is doing great. She loves the kids and loves playing with them. She has been painting, and making holiday paper items. I have to start a box of all the things she is making. There is also a little blond girl there that is 2 years old and she and Kenzie are the best of friends. They are so exicited when they see each other and hug each other. It is so cute. It has been great for her and she really enjoys herself. And that makes it so much easier on me to go to work knowing that not only she is in great hands but that she is enjoying herself.
12/18/2004--Well Kenzie's first day of daycare was on Monday the 13th, and she LOVED it. We both went in with her and sat with her in case she needed us, NOPE she didn't care we where there or that we left. And when we picked her up she got mad at us and threw a fit. So needless to say she likes the daycare. Which is good cause it makes it easier for mommy to work and not have to worry about her baby. She had a swim day on 12/15 but needless to say she didn't care for it that much. But we will keep trying.
11/11/2004--Well she is FINALLY walking. Not all the time but a lot more than before, so I will say we finally have a walker on our hands. She thinks she is hot stuff to let me tell ya. And she drinks out of a cup with a straw and that is even more of a big deal. And she don't want to be fed anymore by us or have her teeth brushed by us. Everything she has to do herself.
11/6/2004--Kenzie has started to take steps. The most she has taken is 6. But it is something. She is scared after she realizes that she is not hanging onto anything or anyone and then falls down. But it won't be long that is for sure. But mean while she is cruising everywhere by crawling, it is so hard to catch her sometimes. HAHA.
10/4/2004--Well we have a new addition to our family. We have a new puppy called Daisy. She is a Jack Russell Terrier Mix. She is 12lbs and a DOLL. She is really sweet for a 3 month old puppy. She is really lovable and her and Max are great together and have so much fun playing around. She is also very smart, Kenzie loves her like she does Max. But Max is still her doggy and boy, but nana said this way Kenzie will have a doggie to grow up with it. It is really nana's dog, but you would never know it.
9/16/2004--Lately Mackenzie wants to do everything herself. She is learning to be very dependent. She don't want us to feed her or help her. If she wants you she will let you know it. She is very busy and into everything. She climbs up and down on everything as well. Stairs, tables, chairs..Anything she can get a hold of.Mackenzie also LOVES music. She bee-bops or dances to anything that plays music. So needless to say we have a ton of toys that play music. Lots of batteries..lolShe is walking now holding only one of your hands now so it won't be long before she starts walking. And she thinks she is big stuff. And she knows it and shows off when she learns something new.
