Oh my, how time flies. Precious Caitlyn is two months old, and I'm just now writing again! It doesn't seem possible that time is flying so! She has been a joy to us! She is so long and thin! Everyone thinks she is tiny. It's only because she is 23 1/2 inches long and weighs only 10 lbs. 5 ozs. The doctor said everything looked great yesterday. She is so alert and tries to talk to you. The smiles are really precious too! I tell you, being MAWMAW twice now is just more than words can tell! I was just amazed at how well Sarah did during delivery! It was a wonderful experience being there for Caitlyn's arrival. That's something I will never forget! Sarah and Don are doing a wonderful job parenting--I'm so proud of you both! Caitlyn is a very blessed little girl to have such loving parents. Of course, the rest of the family is pretty special too!!!! I love to see Abby and Caitlyn together--they'll be special cousins! Then in December we can enjoy that third grandbaby from
Tim and Ada!! I love you all!!

Caitlyn, I am so glad that you are here! You are absoluetly precious and so, so loved - I just can't wait to get my hands on you.
Don and Sarah, Congratulations! I know how incredibly happy the both of you are to have Caitlyn here, and I know that you will both be great parents. Being there yesterday, I couldn't help but think back almost 10 months to June 29th, 2008. It is truly amazing how your heart is immediately filled with more love than you can ever imagine. Instantly, when a child is born, as parents, it feels like God opens our hearts and overflows it with an unconditional love. Your lifes are forever changed: BETTER.

Well, I'm not sure what happened to my last comment! It's out there somewhere; so I'll just have to write another one. It's hard to believe we have only 13 weeks before another precious granddaughter makes her arrival, or as PaPa used to say "discovers America"! I can only imagine how he would be today with little Abby and now Caitlyn soon to be here. I regret that my granddaughters will not have that wonderful privilege of knowing their great grandfather. I am just so thankful that their great grandmother has a big part in their lives! There is just nothing like that wonderful heritage! Anyway, it's going to be so much fun with two little granddaughters around our house!! I can hardly wait.

I guess it's a little surreal-it seems like just yesterday Bekah and Scott had announced they were expecting, and now here we are with Don and Sarah expecting, and just finding out that it's a sweet baby girl! Well, Congratulations, Don and Sarah! I am so excited for you both. It's amazing how your heart grows to accomodate the precious, ever-growing family that surrounds you! I know that you must be on a roller coaster ride of emotions in trying to get everything prepared before Caitlyn arrives. I hope you both are able to cherish this time of preparation...I know I'm enjoying watching you both prepare. I think it's very special. Keep Christ First: it's amazing how the rest falls into place! In any case, I'm very much looking forward to being Aunta Ada...again! :)

I am so excited! I was able to go with Sarah and Don to the doctor yesterday for the ultrasound. How fun to see Caitlyn (yes, beyond the overwhelming belief that Sarah had regarding the gender being a boy, the baby is a girl). She was quite the mover, although that was probably a result of the Mango Smoothie that Sarah had about an hour before the ultrasound. The doctor had a bit of a challenge to try to get any good pictures. Anyway, we can't wait. Congratulations, Sarah and Don! Enjoy the ride! It only gets better even though there is some exhaustion that goes along with it.

Well, Sarah is going to have her hands full now with working on two sites. She is the one that adds to little Abby's! I'm excited though about another little grandbaby! God is so good to give us so many blessings!! Sarah, you take care of yourself and "Baby Madden"!
