So
much to update! Well Madison learned how to take MANY steps last week! It was so
wonderful! There is a video of the first time or 2 really on her video section!
You should all look, but don't pay attention to how silly I sound, I was SO
excited! So she isn't getting up and walking on her own yet, but if you stand
her up she will walk, or if she has something to pull up on she will! And she is
cutting or trying to cut, 2 more teeth so she may just be getting with the teeth
cutting program! She is just a very exciting lil girl! She has been having
spells for a week or so now where she wakes at 3:30 or 4 or 5 am, not sure what
is going on with that, I presume, it is her teeth, poor thing! In the morning
Madison will se her very first Christmas Tree, Daddy and I put it up tonight,
and I just cant wait to see the look on her little face when she sees it! It
should prove very interesting keeping it pretty for the next month, HAHA, her
little hands and feet are very busy! Just a few more days till Thanksgiving! How
exciting! Well I better get for tonight! Many more stories to come.

Well Maddie is in bed, so Mommy is going to give you all an update on the little princess! First off she did FINALLY get that 3
rd tooth in, and now I think is working on number 4, so I am assuming that maybe she is fixing to get busy with the teething thing, poor little thing it is so rough on her! Her cold I think is finally about gone I am pretty sure, so hopefully that is the first cold and the only cold for this season, that would be WONDERFULL! She took a few steps yesterday for us, they were very tiny, but they were steps, so I think that just any day she will take off!! She is a very busy baby!! Her new favorite thing to do is clean things out, and when I say clean them, I mean she likes to empty her diaper stacker, sock drawer, toy box, and any other drawer she can reach! The good thing is that she also like to put the socks and such back in the drawers, now the diapers not so much she just wants to throw them! She is such a fun little girl! It is very scary, we see Chris coming out in her more and more each day! (HAHA) I am certain she is going to be just like him!! She is just so full of character, and we LOVE every minute of it! Well that?s the scoop on Maddie for today!

Well what a
long last week and a half this has been!
First off
Madison had a great Halloween! We went to her grandparents house and helped give
out candy and went to a few houses with her cousins , and at 1 of those
houses Maddie got her very first treat, a cute little green stuffed monster! She
also ended up eating her first chocolate, a peanut butter cup , and she just
loved it! So Halloween was great for her, but Mommy on the other hand was sick
with a nasty cold that turned to bronchitis and flared her asthma very bad, I
ended up really sick but, I am much better now, unfortunately, I ended up giving
my poor Maddie my nasty bug, that's right her very first cold and I gave it to
her , now talk about feeling bad, I felt so bad! She is much better now it
didn't get to bad, But I still felt awful! I ended up getting Chris and her
grandparents sick, so hopefully this will be our biggest cold battle this year,
no fun!
So other than
the cold she is doing just wonderful! She has FINALLY cut her 3rd tooth, it just
yesterday broke the gum, I am so glad, that was rough for her. She will stand
for a minute or longer at a time now, but still not walking just yet, But I am
thinking by Turkey day she will be! We shall see! She is just such a delightful
little girl, and I am so blessed to stay home and watch her learn and grow!

Mommy is going to write this story while Maddie is napping! Madison wants me to tell you all that her most exciting news right now is that she is finally, at 13 months old fixing to get her 3rd tooth, her right upper is almost through the skin!! So she is happy for that since this teething thing really bites! Other Maddie news is that she is saying a lot of new things, she says: Dada, Yeah, Amaw(Grandma) and just babbles all the time. As you can see in her pics she is very fond of her tongue and sticks it out ALL the time, this I know is a bad habit, but is just to cute! She no longer uses her bath seat, she is a big girl now and bathes in the big tub! Her most favorite shows are The Wiggles and the Doodle bops, she is just crazy about them! We went to a pumpkin patch the other day and let her pick out some pumpkins and took some picture, didn't have any that turned out great, it was our first cold day and I think she was unhappy and just couldn't figure out why her silly Momma and Daddy had her out in the cold! Well there is tons more that I could say about our little princess, but I will end this story with she is just such a delight to spend each day with, her smile and love over flows our hearts every day. But she will be up soon and ready to eat.

Hi to you all
this is Maddie here, and I am doing so very good! I will be walking most
any day now, I can hold on to just one of Momma's hands and stroll right along!!
So more than likely the next time you see me I will walk to you! I still only
have the 2 teethers, but I know just any day I will have more! I have learned
how to Pat-A-cake all by my self, and wow that is so much fun! I clap all the
time now and my favorite show is the Wiggles. I am finally on a schedule I nap
each day between 1 and 3 and am in my crib no later than 9 :15, Momma and Daddy
are very proud of me for that! I am mumbling all the time now, the things that
Momma and Daddy know I mumble are: Momma, PAPA( Daddy) , BAW( Ball), hi,
mow(more) and lots of other things, that hopefully my Mommy will be smart enough
to decipher very soon. Well that's my update for now.

Ok so here's the thing every one, as you all can see my silly Mommy got VERY
behind on updating my story's! So here's the scoop, she is working on a page
that will have all of the stories archived on to it from my birth until now, but
while that is going on she is going to try very hard to start coming here and
posting stories about all of my latest happenings! So thank you all for being
patient with my silly Mommy, she is going to get busy with these stories!

Today you were moved up a nursery to the intermediate NICU, this is a great move and we are so very happy. When Mommy and Daddy walked in this afternoon they had a little purple preemie soothie stuck in your mouth and you were really enjoying it, it was so cute and the lil soothie was almost as big as your tiny little face. Today they are trying to start feeding you through your gavage tube, they will try sterile water today and if you do well with that( and we know you will), then tomorrow they will start you on expressed breastmilk, so Mommy is working very hard and pumping a lot, so that you have plenty of it for in the morning when they start feeds. Today you had a lot of people come and see you: Grandma and Grandpa Yeck, Grandma Bettye, Angie, Aunt Sandy and Uncle Eric. Every one just loves you. You are beautifull!

BIRTHDAY!!! BIRTHDAY!!!BIRTHDAY!!!BIRTHDAY!!!BIRTHDAY!!!
Last night was a very long and uncomfortable night. Despite them giving me Ambien to sleep and Stadol, I did not sleep and was in pain most of the night, but the contractions on the monitor still showed to be very mild, and at about 8am my Dr came in and checked me and I was still only dialated to a 1, what I had been for 6 days. I could not believe it, I was so very uncomfortable, I could not even eat my breakfast. Well I got up at about 9:30 to use the rest room and then had several gushes of water, my water had fully broken! I told Chris to call my Mom and Melanie and tell them to please hurry, he was unsure as the Dr and nurses were saying I wasnt in labor, but now I knew for SURE that I was and convinvced him to call. So they both got there around 10 and the Dr came back in and checked me again and GUESS WHAT , I was in labor!! I was dialted to a 3. Time to go to labor and delivery, but there was no room available , so i had to wait in there, I was in a lot of pain and begging for my epidural( The one that I swore for 8 months I was not going to get. HAHA) But they could not give it to me untill I was in LDR. Well they checked me again at about 11 and I ws dilated to a 5!! They decided they better get me a room ready FAST! I was goign faster than they expected me to. So they get me moved and I am really begging for my epi, but the Dr anesthesiologist is in an emergency C-section and he is the only one in the hospital! What the heck! Well about 2 they recheck me and I am dialated to an 8! At this point I am so afraid that I will not get an epi, cause I have dialted to far. I have also developed a fever of about 103, my blood pressure and Maddies heart rate is getting higher, I am getting very worried! I am gettting more IV antibiotics as I now obviousley have an infection! Well for some reason I am now stuck at an 8! At aproximatly 5 pm, the anesthisoligist FINALLY comes and gives me my epi! I am so happy, I can actually smile now! They have now started pitocin to try and get me dialted to a 10 very quickly as my blood pressure is now very high, as is Maddies heart rate. They have discussed the possibility of a c-section if I do not dialate quickly or if things were to get any more unstable. I really want to deliver naturally, as I am so scared of a c-section! Well looks like the pitocin worked at about 5:45 I am now fully dialated and ready to push. So with my Dear Chris, my Mom, and Sandy by my side we push and push for what seems like forever and then finally at about 7pm, the Dr told the nurse call peds, its TIME!! I knew Maddie was just minutes from entering into our lives. At 7:06pm she was born. Now for the moment of truth, will she breath on her own, will she need help, how developed are her organs. Well it took a minute and a little work from the docs(This was the longes few minutes of our lives), and just as they thought she was going to need a little help breathing, we hear the tiniest little WAHHH! That wah, was the MOST beautifull noise to our ears! She was breathing on her own, had oxygen for only a few minutes. They handed her to me wrapped up so tightly in blankets. She was so beautifull and so tiny. I was able to hold her for about 3 minutes and she ws transferred to the NICU. Chris got to see her first when she was about 30 minutes old. She is beatifull and doing so beautifully! We are so consumed with joy.

So today while we are in Oklahoma to be with Grandpa Chuck. I thought something was strange, so we stopped on in to labor and delivery on the way to the icu to be with my dad, I was sure nothing was wrong and that I would be going right on up to see him, I was having pains but did not think that they were contractions , as they were the same pains I had been having for 2 months. Well surprise, they hook me up to monitor and I was having contractions, well they could have stopped them, but my water was broke!!!! I was in such shock! Today is the day that Chris is flying in to be with me for support since my dad isnt getting any better. I was admitted to the hospital while he was in flight from Nashville to Dallas. So I call him as soon as he lands and tell him the surprising news, and that I have called our friend Eric to pick him up at the airport, since they say I can not get outta this bed. The hospital that I was admitted to doesnt have the ability to try and keep me pregnant, and they would really like me to stay pregnant as long as the baby or I am not in stress so they are transferrign me to Ou medical center, to keep me pregnant for up to 2 more weeks. I got my first of 2 steroid shots today to help develope Maddies lungs.They say that every moment that I stay pregnant after the shots will help. I am 31 weeks 1 day as of today. As long as the baby or I show no signs of infection or distress they will let me stay pregnant, but they will not stop the labor anymore. They did today, but no more! They will let me stay pregnant and on bedrest for up to 14 days, after that they will then induce labor, if Maddie doesnt come on her own. We shall see!

We went today for our second ultra sound. We found out you are a GIRL!!!!!!
We are so excited. We went tonight and bought you the first two little girl outfits! One of them is a pair of peach overalls with teddy bears and flowers and a matching shirt and the other is a pink one piece out fit with feet and has little flowers on it. Words can not express how happy we are to have you coming in to our lives. You yawned today while they were doing the ultrasound of you, and it was the most beautifull thing!!!We are smiling ear to ear now!!!

We went today for our first ultra sound. Seeing you for the first time was amazing!!! Your gestational age is 14wks2days and your heart rate was 165. They could not tell us yet if you are a girl or a boy, but we are so excited either way. We love you so much!!

Tonight we went and got the EPT digital read test and we found out we are going to have a baby!! We are very surprised. We are estimating the baby to be here some time around the end of October.
