I can't beleive Baby Sam has teeth already...Michael was over 1 before he had any:) Hope to get to see you guys at Christmas! -Dan, Carla & Michael Oct 20 2008
I love a post that is full of good news!! We can't believe that Sam is already starting cereal. He is catching up fast!! Hang in there. It only gets better from here!! Call us the next time y'all head to the zoo.... -Lauren Lewis May 04 2008
How wonderful that Sam is growing so much! That is an answered prayer. Jacks was almost 13 pounds at his 4 month check up so I would say Sam is putting on the weight rather well! Have fun this weekend! -Amber May 02 2008
Last weekend was a pure blessing and joy to spend with Dan, Katie, and Little Bug. Grandaddy and I missed Bug five minutes after he left! He is so sweet and precious - such a happy baby! Dan and Katie, you are an incredible dad and mom. No bias here....We love you! -Mimi Apr 15 2008

Katy the pictures of Mimi and Sam are precious. So sorry I didn\'t get to see you, but I still have the pnemonia thing going on. Sam is absolutely beautiful. Love Rhonda -Rhonda Apr 14 2008
I hope that we weekend went well. Y'all didn't miss much here!! Can't wait to hear about it. I hope that I didn't forget anything on Jake's list!!! :) -Lauren Lewis Apr 14 2008
Glad to hear Sam is sleeping better. Michael went through a stage where he slept from 8pm until 10am. I would wake up in a panic wondering how he could sleep so long and knowing something was wrong. Alas, he's now up at 6am every Sat. and Sun. after having to drag him out of bed at 7am Mon. thru Fri. These kids:) --Carla Apr 08 2008
YAY Sam! I'm so glad he's sleeping longer. -Amber Apr 03 2008
Sleep is a beautiful thing!!! The Lewis household is rejoicing with you..... -Lauren Lewis Apr 03 2008
Katie, bring the baby to Nashville. We are dying to see him. Great news on the sleeping. Rhonda -Rhonda Apr 03 2008
Hey girl...I hope the doctor visit went well yesterday. Hopefully, today is a better day. I am writing to tell you that Jake threw up on Mitch last night. TWICE!!! Not good....I guess that his little tummy is not ready for carrots just yet after his sickness. It feels good that we are going through "projectile" days together. I will pray that this stage ends for us all very soon.... -Lauren Lewis Apr 02 2008
Katie, Sam is getting so big! Can you believe you have a baby. Sandi sure is excited about being a grandmother. When you come to Nashville, I want to see him. Love Rhonda -Rhonda SMith Mar 30 2008
Katie I really can't believe how big he's getting! He's looking more like you I think. I hope to be able to see you guys when we come in. We may make a trip to the zoo if your interested! -Amber Mar 27 2008
Praying for all 3 of you. Did the dr. give Sam a prescription for Prev.? For some reason, the site won't let me type the full name of the aforementioned medicine! Wilson and Hil had horrible reflux and Prev. was one of our answers to alleviating pain and getting more sleep. Call or e-mail me if you want to talk more about it! -Jennifer Thompson Mar 10 2008
Oh, wish I could say the Spring forward gets better. I long for the teen years when I might actually sleep past 6 AM. Of course, I will have to because I will be up all night worrying about my kids! Okay, so there is always retirement to catch up on sleep lost.
No really, sleep will get better one day soon. In fact, that first night of sleeping all night will cause you to wake up in a panic, but at least a well rested one. -Jenny Mar 10 2008
Love the visual about the wedge and the pouch! We too had to sleep with Joshua's matress on a wedge and did create the pouch so he would not slide down to the end. I promise the reflux will get better - when? Only God knows, but it will. Hang in there.
I would love to see you all if you do make it to church. Of course, you know where I will be!
It is great to get the updates and see how he is flourishing. -Jenny Wilkes Mar 10 2008
Jake didn't do so well with Daylight Saving Time. Amber was SO right!!! We have high hopes for fall back....... -Lauren Lewis Mar 10 2008
Thanks for coming by this weekend!! We loved seeing Sam!!! I hope that today goes well with the shots. Please keep us posted on what the doc says. -Lauren Lewis Mar 03 2008
So glad to hear Sam is growing so much! He'll continue to do that for awhile...=) And just to let you know, Jacks has a Vandy hoodie, I want to make sure he has some clothing from his future alma mater! =) Wishful hoping huh? -Amber Feb 29 2008
This Rocky Top stuff is too much for our household to handle....I am so proud that Sam found his thumb. He didn't lose it forever. Hopefully, he will find it again soon. I am so thankful that he is growing out of his clothes!! I almost called you to go to Super Target with me yesterday, but got scared for Sam. I am such a germ freak to that we drove all the way to Super Target because the Target at Colonial is too old, closed in and crowded. We barely came within five feet of anyone at Super Target....I highly recommend it on a weekday!! Of course, Jake slept the entire time. He must be resting up for when Sam can come out and play!! -Lauren Lewis Feb 28 2008
Go VOLS! Good to see that your training is well in hand, Sam. Love you and can't wait to hold you again!
Love, Granddaddy and Grandmother Marks -Granddaddy and Grandmother Marks Feb 24 2008
I second the STAY IN until RSV/flu season is over (mid-march)...I know how crazy cabin fever can make you, but it's so much better than a sick baby. Maybe he could just make an Easter debut???!!! He is so, so precious and I can't wait to see him in person. Thanks for keeping us updated via this site. I know you are ready to get out....Hang in there...praying for you. -Jennifer Thompson Feb 16 2008
Way to go SAM! You are really growing up fast. Your Mimi misses you and can't wait for a Nashville visit. -Rhonda Smith Feb 15 2008

I love all of Sam's new "outfits." He looks very handsome and he looks like he's getting much bigger! Miss you! -Amber Feb 14 2008
Just checking in on 5.5 lb Sam...he's probably even bigger today! I hope you had a great shower, and I am sorry I couldn't be there. My boys didn't sleep through the night until they were 16 wks old. Hang in there. Sticking to a routine does help them sleep at an earlier age, so it sounds like you are doing all the "right" things. Have a good Wednesday.
-Jennifer Thompson Feb 13 2008
It was so good to see you this week and weekend! You look fantastic! I love seeing all the pics on your site. You and Dan are such proud parents!! What a praise that all continues to go well! Give Sam a hug for us, until we can on our own! Love, lindley -Lindley Jackson Feb 10 2008
WOW!! I am so glad that Sam is packing on the ounces!! Don't rush to get out. You are not missing much. Things are starting to pick up. Sleeping through the night is a tough thing. It only took Jake 3 months, but it felt like FOREVER. Hang in there. You are doing an awesome job!! -Lauren Lewis Feb 08 2008
Glad to see you guys are still doing well. I am so glad Sam is outgrowing his clothes! YAY! He is still absolutely adorable! -Amber Feb 01 2008
Hey girl...I loved seeing you and Sam tonight. It has been SO long!! Sam is absolutely perfect. Jake had a present for Sam in the car that I forgot to give to you. My sleep deprivation makes me forget things that are right in front of my nose!! I will give it to you tomorrow night. I am looking forward to catching up then!! Hang in there....just remember that you are not missing anything!! -Lauren Lewis Jan 28 2008
Sam gets cuter and cuter in each picture. You aren't missing much these days...it's so cold outside that we are all indoors! Great news regarding his eyes, too. -Jennifer Thompson Jan 25 2008
Hey Sam, you are such a precious little boy. I loved taking care of you while you were with us. Be sweet to your parents. Love Nurse Debbie -Debbie Thompson Jan 25 2008
Dear Sam, You don't know me, but I know your granddaddy Tommy and Grandmother Sandi and how much they LOVE you. May God help you to grow and be a blessing to all who love you. Dan, Kati and "Mr. Sam Man"
We're glad to hear all of you are now safe at home and starting to get enjoy your bundle of love. It sounds like Sam is starting to grow like a weed and judging by the size of those "fippers", Sam will soon be looking eye to eye with Dan in the future.

Love you,
Tom, Cindy, Megan and Rachel -Tom Marks Jan 21 2008
