Carter hates sitting in his exersaucer, but loves to crawl under it, then cry when he gets stuck:)

Christmas is right around the corner- I think I already hear Santa's sleigh bells ringing!  Nolan had his first visit to Santa last week.  He was quite fussy for the 30 minutes we had to wait in line, but he was able to sit with Santa for a few seconds and look at the camera without crying- we were so proud! I know babies grow, but he seems to be growing bigger before our eyes!  He now eats fruit and cereal in the morning and then some veggies at night.  He especially likes peas!  He sits up without any assistance and can pick up his balls with one hand.  Nolan may be a screamer (we're hoping not).  We were in Kroger the other day and he yelled with joy the entire time.  He was one happy boy, but I'm not sure screaming was the best way to communicate that:).

We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!

We had Thanksgiving at our house and it was a wonderful time!  Nolan didn't have any turkey, but he did have some sweet potatoes to celebrate the holiday.  He's sitting up without any support and enjoying looking at things from a different angle.  He's talking up a storm, but not really saying any words.  He says "dadadadadada" all the time, but not specifically for Mike yet.  I'm trying to get him to say mama, but he just isn't having it.

We found out Nolan's going to have another little boy to play with...Mary and Paul are having a little boy in April...how fun!! And, Marci and Don are expecting another one in July- there are going to be play dates all the time!

I hope you enjoy the pictures!  I especially love the one of our little "turkey"!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween!  Nolan enjoyed being a rooster, he even crowed a few times:)  This year we passed out doughnuts and cider on Halloween night- a big hit, but we still had a LOT left over!  Nolan had his 6 month check-up yesterday- he's 19.6 lbs, and 27 3/4 in.  He's getting big, but I thought he weighed more than that.  He had four shots and didn't like any of them!! Well things are good here...hope all of you are doing great!

Happy Wednesday!  Things are going great in the Thompson house-school/work is going well and the Lions are back in gear!  Or shall I say back losing:(  Mike and Nolan got all dressed up for the Sunday game.  The guys looked great, but I can't say the same for our Home Team.  Maybe next week!

Happy Monday!  I'm back to school and Nolan has been in daycare for two weeks.  It seems like a lot has happened since the last time I updated the website.  We went to Uncle Matt's cabin over Labor Day with Don, Marci, and Michael Pokorny.  We had a great time and I think the kids did some bonding.  Nolan had his 4 month check-up today- he's 17 lbs and 26 in, he's doing great!  I tried giving him a little cereal tonight- he didn't care for it too much:)  I'll try again later. Daycare is going good- Nolan has a friend named Owen there, they actually were born on the same day!

Nolan already starts daycare on Monday!  I think he might be excited, but it's going to be difficult for me :(  The kids don't start school until Sep. 5th, but starting Monday I have meetings all week long- I don't think Nolan would enjoy sitting all day.  It's been an amazing summer with Nolan, and I'm sure it will be an awesome fall!  Mike and I are looking forward to spending time with family in Florida at the end of September and dressing Nolan up for Halloween!  I'm sure we'll get some really great pics of all the fun times to come!

Happy Monday!  This past weekend we went to Gary and Kursten's house and Nolan got to play with Morgan and Logan.  Morgan is growing fast, like Nolan, and Logan was lots of fun to play with.  When we first put Morgan and Nolan on the couch together they held hands- sooo cute (but I couldn't get to my camera fast enough).  The two pictures I got are adorable:)  Nolan's new thing is trying to sit up all the time- he must be really sick of laying on his back!

This past Friday Nolan rolled to his side, giggled for the first time, and grabbed a toy- it was a very exciting day!!  He is just getting cuter by the second and is so much fun to be around.  Mike and I went shopping to get him a couple more toys- we got him a new chair and the "Jumperoo".  He's really not ready for either of them quite yet, but he did enjoy sitting in his chair for a few moments.  I hope you enjoy the new pictures- very cute!

Nolan is already 2 months old!  We had his check-up this morning and he weighed in at 14lb, 10 oz- yes, he's a big healthy baby!  He's awake for a longer period of time during the day, smiles and coos a lot. For the fourth of July we spent the day on Grandpa Thompson's boat and Nolan was a fabulous passenger! He slept most of the day and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  My sister, Erin, came home on July 2nd and it's been great having her home.  Nolan loved meeting his Aunt Erin!  Well, I hope all is well with everyone!

Happy Father's Day!!  Nolan is already 6 weeks old- time really does fly fast!  Nolan is becoming much more aware of his surroundings and loves to look at himself in the mirror:)  His neck is getting really strong and he's been practing rolling over (although he can't do it on his own yet).  Today we are having our dads over for dinner- Nolan can't wait to see his two grandpas.  We wish all the dads a great day!

Well our weekend was a blast!  Michelle, Simon, and Annabel came to visit from Florida to meet Nolan for the first time.  We went for a couple of walks (while Simon drove the fire engine), went on Grandpa Thompson's boat, went to brunch, and played on the new blow up water slide (well, kind of :).  Nolan loved meeting his cousins and already can't wait until he sees them again!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  We were very busy!  Nolan's great grandma Fox came by to visit on Saturday- she absolutely loved seeing him!  Saturday Grandpa Thompson took us out on his boat- what a great time!  Then Monday we went over to Mary and Paul's and saw their beautiful new house!  Monday night Nolan got his fist bath- not so sure he enjoyed it:)  Michelle, Simon, and Annabel are coming to see us tomorrow.  Can't wait to spend time with them and I'm sure we'll have many new pictures to share.  Have a great week!

Tomorrow Nolan is 2 weeks old!  They say the first two weeks are the toughest, so I think we've done really well so far:)  Nolan has his 2 week check-up tomorrow, that should be a fun outing for the two of us.  Everyday he's a little more alert and seems to smile more (although I'm not sure what he's smiling at).  I spent my first Mother's Day at Grandma and Grandmpa Thompson's house.  My mom was able to join us and we all had a wonderful time!  This weekend we're hoping to see Gary, Kursten, and Morgan Dancer. They are coming down to stay with us and Nolan is going to have a little friend to stare at:)  Hope everyone is doing great!  Thanks for all the new comments!

He's already one week old today (Friday, May 12)!  It's been a great week getting to know what a wonderful son we've been blessed with!  He's becoming much more alert and staying awake a little longer each day.  We took him for his first walk the other day and he loved it!  Thanks again for all the wonderful comments and congratulations!

Well Nolan is 5 days old and we're loving every second of him!  He's eating a lot and sleeping even more!  Daddy thinks he sleeps a little too much:)  We've had a lot of friends and family come by- it's been great sharing Nolan with everyone!  Cody is doing well with Nolan- he sniffs him occasionally, but for the most part stays his distance.  We had Nolan's first Doctor's visit on Monday- the doctor says he's one healthy boy!

Thank you for all the wonderful comments- they mean a lot to all of us!
