Stories

Sunday 26th - Grandma watched Miranda and Sean this morning while I took a Home Buying Class, it was my second class so I came home with a certificate and now I qualify for Maine State Housing (they help with a lower interest rate).  Papa went to China today and Miranda was mad because she wanted to go too.

Miranda was a VERY big girl today.  She wore underwear since early in the morning and did not have one accident.  She was very excited when she went on the big potty and had to call Grandma everytime.  Tomorrow I will take her to school in her underwear and hopefully she will do just as good at school.

Saturday 18th - This morning we picked up Papa at his house and took him to the Balloon Festival.  We got there just in time for the rides to start.  Sean didn't want to ride the "baby" rides so I got him on the Bumble bees with Miranda and I.  He cried until the ride started and then he enjoyed it.  Later Sean and Miranda decided to ride the Tilt a Wheel (big kid ride), all four of us got in one cart together and we spun around sooo fast.  Sean giggled the whole time!

After the rides we saw the parade and walked around the festival.  Once again none of the balloons launched since it was cold and windy out.

Friday 17th - I picked the kids up early from school to go to the Balloon Festival, we were going to meet Grandma and Grandpa to watch the balloon launch.  Well it was REALLY cold and windy so none of the Balloons were launched.  But we still had fun!

Sunday 5th - This morning I took the kids to the Topsham Fair.  There were tons of horses, cows, goats and pigs!  Miranda and Sean liked petting the animals.

Saturday 4th - This morning we went to Range Pond.  Afterwards we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house, the kids played with their toys and ate their popcicles (shh, don't tell them!) About 2pm we left and the kids napped in the car for a few hours.

Wednesday 25th - Sorry I haven't updated the site in a long time.  I don't have internet at our place, but I will be getting it back on Saturday.  I also have some pictures that I will post up soon.

The kids are doing well and enjoying the summer.  Sean is talking no-stop and has become very helpful around the house.  Miranda is going on a field trip tomorrow with her class to a local farm.  Papa got a motorcycle last weekend and he is taking Grandma to Ohio this weekend.  I have started a search to buy a house and hopefully we will be moved into one by the end of the year.

Sunday July 22nd - Today was a busy day filled with animals....

At 9 we headed over to the Wildlife Park but we got there before it opened so we went across the street to a farm that sells antiques and boards horses.  The kids we really interested in the horses so the lady brought one out for the kids to pet.  Miranda was scared but Sean liked the horse.  Then they let us take a walk thru the barn to see the rest of the horses and we even saw a little girl riding a white pony.

Next we went to the wildlife park.  Over by the deers there were so wild Turkeys running lose so we feed them some of the deer food and Sean chased around after them.  All the animals were awake since they were cleaning out all the cages.

Afterwards the kids napped in the car for a few minutes so we went to the Shaker Village in New Gloucester since it was open farm day.  We walked around and saw a lot of sheep and Ox.  In the museum Miranda picked out a wooden duck and Sean bought a wooden fire truck.  There was a free tractor ride tour of the village so we went on that and sat on the edge of the trailor with our feet hanging over the side.

The kids had so much fun on all the outings but we weren't done till 3 so they were very tired and fell alseep as soon as the car started moving.  While they slept I drove around and looked at a few houses.

Wednesday 4th - HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

Click here for a video from the beach today

Today we met Grandma and Grandpa at Range Pond.  There were tons of baby catfish that the kids got to play with.  I will upload some pictures soon.

Monday 2nd - Today the daycare was closed so the kids stayed home and Miss Kayla came over to watch them.  They had a great day but wouldn't take a nap.  When I got home we ate dinner and then Sean started asking for Ice Cream.  We didn't have any at home so I put the kids in the wagon and we walked over to Rite Aide.  The kids each picked out a ice cream bar and we got some goodies for tomorrow.

Sunday July 1st - Today we went to Mason's birthday party.  There were lots of little kids and four big dogs!  Sean made a nice mess out of the ice cream and cake!

After the party we went to Papa's house since he was finally back home.  He brought back presents from China!

The daycare is closed this week so Miss Kayla is coming over to the house to watch Miranda and Sean.  I have of work on Wendesday and we plan to go to the beach if the weather is nice.

Saturday June 30th - This morning we went to the Farmer's Market.  The kids picked out a basket of Strawberries and ate them all on the car ride.  We went to Range Pond and played on the beach for awhile.  The kids really love running around in the water and playing in the sand.  Afterwards we got some ice cream and came home for naps.

June 29th - Last week we got a new friend for Kitty!  She's a little calico cat named Hazel.  The kids love her, they carry her around the house and play toys with her.  Kitty also get along very well with Hazel.

Sean was telling us at the dinner table last night "Miss Riley".  He misses having a little buddy around to play with.  The kids are also missing Papa, he has been out of the country for awhile but comes back this weekend.

June 23rd - This morning the kids and I went down to the Portland Head Lighthouse.  We walked around the lighthouse and watched some lobsterboats.  The kids played on the swings.  Then we went down to the water and played in the rocks.  The kids had a blast and didn't want to go home but they needed a nap!

I have some pictures that I'll upload soon.

June 18th - HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY SEAN!!

Sean is already feeling better and had a great day at school.  In the evening we went to Grandma's for dinner and to say goodbye to Aunt Stephanie and Riley.  They have to go back to Ohio tomorrow :(

June 17th - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

This morning Sean went to the doctors, he has an ear infection.  That explains why he wasn't too happy at his birthday party.  We dropped Miranda off at Grandma's house to play with Riley while I took Sean home to nap.

Miranda and Riley took Papa to a car show at Hogemens and then we all went to Ground Round for a late lunch.

June 16th - Today was Sean's birthday party.  The weather was nice so we had the party outside.  Chris brought over a little moonwalk that Miranda and Riley loved!  Sean wasn't very social, but he still had a good time.

Thank you everyone for celebrating Sean's Birthday and for all his presents!

Thursday May 31st - This evening the kids and I were in a walkathon - Walk for Wishes (help raise money for Make a Wish Foundation)  A group from work went, including Grandpa.  The kids had a lot of fun and we all got matching tshirts!

Monday May 28th,  6 AM- Happy Memorial Day!  I'm off work and the kids are out of school today.

Yesterday we ended up going to Will and Robins house in the morning since it was forcasted to rain in the evening.  The kids had a lot of fun playing with Mason and Marlee.  They played with all out Mason's toys and ran around the yard.  We had hot dogs for lunch and made s'mores.  Everyone was having so much fun we didn't leave till 3pm and the kids went right to sleep on the car ride home.

Today we might go to the beach but Miranda is still asleep right now...

Sunday May 27th - Yesterday the kids came back home from their week in Maryland.  They were excited to see all their toys again and Kitty too.  In the evening we played at Grandma's and Grandpa's house.

Today we are going to play around the house and then after nap we are going over to Will and Robin's house.  We are going to have a bonfire and play with all of Mason's toys!

Sunday May 6th - It's another fun weekend!  The sun is shining, but a little windy out.  On Saturday we went to the L/A Harley store for a Motorcycle show.  We saw lots of bikes!  The kids had fun watching the jumps and everyone riding around.  Afterwards we went to the waterfall for lunch with Papa and Grandma.  Miranda tried to feed the birds and ducks but none showed up.

Today we went to the craft store and then went to Grandma's house to play.  The kids played outside for awhile and now they are napping.
