November 11 ~ I'm busy selling our gently used baby gear. It's insane how expensive this stuff is, how short of a time you need it and then how little people are willing to pay for stuff in excellent condition. All 4 of us LOVE the new jogging stroller. (and I've sold enough stuff to actually pay for it!)
November 10 ~ Random thoughts before we forget.... They want constant attention and play. Hates to be put down on back. Raspberrying foods. Giggles on "dancing onsie". Learning to self feed with table foods. Crawling backwards. Look at Mike and say "dada". Separation anxiety. Sam - Must have toy at all times. Scream. See toy. Smile and giggle with glee. Toy taken away. SCREAM. (similar behavior with bottle). Very dramatic! Can maneuver from crawling position to sitting position. Loves to grab our faces. Lips and noses are so much fun. Syd- Likes to "stand" (with help). Waking at 5:30am two days in a row. Not napping well in afternoon. Favorite game to play with the dog: "Get the Bailey, Get the Bailey" Involves chasing Bailey and lots of giggles. Table food is SO much more work. It's messy. They aren't actually eating very much since their grab and release skills aren't perfected much. 3 meals a day - lots of messy babies and high chairs to clean up! Bailey the scavenger is loving all the food they drop from the highchairs. (Hey, atleast I don't have to clean the floor too!) After the first baby has her bath, Mike wraps her up in the kitty or bunny towel... The second baby laughs at her sister in the silly towel. Then it's a giggle fest! Storytime is no longer about the words or pictures, they just want to chew on the book. Could they already be bored with our favorite books? I guess "I know a Rhino" is getting old.
November 9 ~ Sydney is showing signs of separation anxiety. She hates being alone. Today, they both refused to stay in the playzone (even with me in there). Cranky girls. They were unusually hungry at 11am. They drank their whole bottes and cried for more. We had "lunch" for the first time today with table foods. Cheese crumbles, Gerber puffs, teething biscuits and juice in a sippy cup. Sam has been *raspberrying" alot lately. Syd is doing it more too. We think this means they are bored with the baby mush and ready for table foods. They get really quiet and concentrate on getting those little bits of food from their trays into their mouths. Most of the food ends up on the floor (Bailey appreciates it!). Also, I found a Carter's store.
November 7 ~ A couple new videos on the dropshots website.
November 6 ~ Their favorite toy is the Lamaze Giraffe from Grandma Cathy. They are frequently playing tug of war with it. Wouldn't matter if we had two... Sam wants whatever Syd has (even if it's an identical toy). Both girls are saying "dada" and "dadadadadada...". The mama and baba (byebye or bottle) sounds are made frequently too.
November 3 ~ Sam was "crawling" on the floor. I was changing Syd. I looked over and Sam was sitting up! First time she's gotten herself into a sitting position. I was hoping to take the girls out this afternoon. I attempted to put them down early for their afternoon nap (so we could get escape before evening traffic). Syd fussed for over an hour before finally falling asleep. Now I'm just waiting....... and trying to come up with a new plan. I'm so glad it's Friday!
November 2 ~ Great napping day. Still have colds (congestion and coughing). New playzone! A safe and fun place to play. (remember when there were just playpens?)
