Caleb 10 Months

Micah's first ice skating experience interspersed with frequent candy breaks
The rest of our year in Dayton. Well this is the catch up page in the baby book. At 2 months Caleb was 11 lbs 7 oz and 23.7 in. At 6 months he was 15 lbs and 26 in. And at 9 months he was 18 lbs and 27.75 in. Still on the small side of the growth chart but no longer falling off a percentage line at each visit. The reflux medication seems to have helped. If my memory serves me correctly, he rolled over the first time at 4 months but then didn't again until 5 months. Around 5 months he started sitting up and so we tried solid foods but after the first couple days gave up until 6 months. The next three months (7, 8, & 9 months ) were kind of a blur; he still wasn't sleeping through the night and Chris and I were neck deep in school. Not a good combo. Finally weened him at 8 months, shortly after my first night away when Chris took me to Cincinnati for my birthday. At 10 months he started crawling and at 10.5 months he is cruising around like crazy and finally started to sleep through the night occassionally (8-10 hrs). Each day we keep looking for the first tooth and the first step; both are still elusive to date. Micah has gotten decent at snow skiing this past year and tried ice skating for the first time. He is getting a great workout on our trampoline and at the community pool which he can bike to. It has been an amazing blessing to have the support of both sides of the family so close this past year. We couldn't have done it without them.

Sept 2010 During school's three week break, we tried to have as much fun as possible. Fortunately for Micah since the break was over his birthday, we ended up celebrating at every stop. We started out by taking the family back to Texas to see the new Schluter and Dwyer babies and visit as many people as possible. Caleb's first airplane ride went we...

Summer 2010 and our world has been turned upside down again. Not only are we now living in Dayton Ohio but, on 20 July at 1503, we welcomed Caleb Mark Olsen into the family, a healthy 8 lb 5.9 oz, 21.5 inch boy. In keeping up with his brother's delayed arrival, Caleb had to be induced to join us. Where as Micah was only 5 days late, after an unsucc...

2009 How time flies. It is sad to see it has been a year since this site was updated. We've had a number of great trips/visits with friends and family from skiing in CO in Feb with the Dywers and Dappy Olsen, celebrating Great-grandma Roberts' 80th Birthday in WV in May, a Canady/Olsen family get together/sailing experience at St Michaels on the Ch...

Oct & Nov 08 What a great fall. I started off on a TDY with Mom to OH with my grandparents watching me in WV for the week. Thanks for taking care of a sick boy that week. I had four teeth by this trip. Then Halloween was a fun hallway party at Mom's work followed by a hayride around the neighborhood with all the families. Unfortunately Dad was on h...

http://www.squidoo.com/yulekaga

Hope it's okay to use it! If not, I'm happy to remove it.

Thank you for sharing (p.s. it comes up on the first page in Google for 'yulekaga' . . .!)
