10/24/09---Last weekend we had a big Birthday celebration for Kyson and Jace. It was a Race Car theme and the boys seemed to love it! they still are playing with the balloons. Kyson loved his new race car, and I think Jace was hoping to have one too, by the upset look on his face when he got a tricycle. Kyson and Jace would like to thank everyone for the special gifts. They have already dived into all of the toys. We are finding out with Kyson there isn't a puzzle he can't put together! Jace is getting closer to walking..maybe within the next week or two he might be really moving on his own two feet! i think he is working on a few more teeth too! The Sunday after their party, we all went to the pumpkin patch and let the boys pick out their pumpkin! They had a great time! The upcoming big events we have planned are Halloween, getting the boys pictures taken(might need to stash a drink for that event) and Thanksgiving! Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!

10/12/09---Jace is 13 mnths old today!! He is working on walking, just got his first haircut, is trying to use the fork/spoon by himself, and has moved to the Toddler room at daycare!! He is always trying to keep up with big brother, and usually doesn't mind Kyson being "extra" loving towards him. He tries to imitate everyone, and gets super excited when he sees the doggies!. :) Can't believe how fast he is growing up!.
Kyson is almost 3 years old, has been going on the potty A LOT more #1 and #2! He is great with puzzles, bought him a 24 piece race car puzzle for being good at the grocery store and he put it together in about 5 minutes. I didn't have all of the groceries put away before he was done putting it together. We also took his trike outside for the first time. He put on his race car and there was no turning back. He LOVES riding his bike outside(he can finally reach the pedals and steer without running into things--when he watches where he is going. :) He is also in transition to moving to the 3yr old classroom at daycare. Exciting times!
This weekend we are going to have a B-day bash for both boys. Both Grandparents are coming to visit along with Aunt Melanie and Emma and Tyler. We will miss everybody who is not able to make it but hopefully we will see you all soon!

9/21/09--Jace is now 1 year! I can't believe it. I remember like it was yesterday sweating bullets worrying about when he might decide to enter this world...would he come while Kyson was in Daycare, or would he wait until the middle of the night when we had no idea who might be able to watch Kyson....luckily it all worked out! :) Now he is 1 and working on walking, jabbering non stop and lovin every meal he gets!! It kind of makes you wonder why he hasn't gained 5 lbs. We took him to the Dr. for his well-visit and he is still weighing in at 19lbs and 12 oz. (9.89%) and his height is 30 inches(59.14%). His head comes in at an impressive 19 inches (92.91%). Most of his body weight must be from his head!!. The good news is that his growth curve is going up and not flattening out, like it was a few months ago. Dr. thinks he might be finding his genes...meaning he might be tall and skinny.
Kyson on the other hand weighed in at 30lbs (38.73%) and his height was 35.75 inches(22.2%). He doesn't seem to like all foods like Jace, but he LOVES his milk! He is also very active and speaking like he should be in Kindergarten. He has also been showing a litlle attititude, but we are working on that adjustment. The biggest milestone is that he is finally doing number 2 on the potty!! Sometimes he also wakes up in the middle of the night saying he has to go potty, so I'm hoping that is a sign he is starting to take control and we get rid of the pull ups. We only do the pull ups at bedtime and when we take long trips. We are getting closer!!
The weekend of 9/18 Kyson and Jace went to Ste. Genevieve with Mommy and got to see where she went to high school. They also got to see the Ste. Gen Homecoming parade and Kyson helped Mommy hand out Homecoming Queen Candidate charms during half-time at the FB game. We asked Kyson what his favorite part of the day was, and it was of course seeing the "dragon" and giving him five.
Next big event is the double B-day party in October. Looking forward to seeing everyone! It should be a fun one. I can't wait to give Kyson his gift!! :)

8/30/09---Jace now has 5 teeth!! (3 are making their way in at the same time). He is also getting better at walking with the push toy and is now on whole milk and eating most foods. He is also showing that fun German temper every chance he can get and looking more like his daddy everyday!. He has also been gaining weight like he is supposed, but he is still on the lower end of the growth chart.
Kyson pooped on the potty 5 times and counting!!! He made his first major breakthrough this past Friday. He had a couple of smaller ones prior, but Friday's event was worth telling all of his friends and teachers at school. WE can only hope he continues down the path of no more pull ups! Daddy took Kyson to the Indiana State Fair again this year. Mommy and Jace stayed home since Jace had been sick and it was really hot that day. Kyson said he didn't like the race car ride. Daddy said it was too jerky for him, but he loved the big truck ride.
WE had a couple of big trips this past month. We all went to NE to visit Papo and Grandma Neddenriep and family and helped Jim and Aunt Katie celebrate their engagement! The big day is going to be May 22! The weekend after Kyson, Jace and I went to visit Papa and Grandma Uding and family. Labor day weekend we all will be back on the road to visit the Uding family again to help celebrate cousin Emma's 4th B-day and new cousin Lainey's 9th B-day.
It is going to be another busy fall season!

7/17--Jace is 10months old, crawling, pulling himself up to a standing position, eating table food, drinking from a sippy cup, can feed himself, has 2 teeth, loves to follow Kyson everywhere, likes to play with Kyson's cars, likes to play with balls, likes to throw tempers(especially around dinner), loves to giggle at Kyson and the dogs, says "mamma", and loves the water. In short...he is doing a lot and growing way to fast!! At his 9month he weighed in at 18lb and 10.5 oz(16.31 percentile), which was not ideal considering he was around the same weight at 6mnths, but I do believe he has packed on the pounds these last few weeks with all of the table food he is eating. He was 28.5 inches long(52.63 percentile) and his head was at a whopping 18.5 inches(88.45 percentile). He is going back to the Dr. in August to make sure he is gaining weight, and he also has to go back to the pulminologist for his follow up. I'm happy to say that he has not had any major coughing or breathing episodes since the one in May. I just hope he holds up through the winter.
Kyson--is speaking very well, his memory is excellent(wish my memory was like his), he is doing really well with the potty training(still working on #2 though), he is trying to be even more independent, he can finally ride his tricycle without help, he got to "drive" a fire truck,(daycare had a party) he won his first gold fish(yes it is still alive--going on day 4), reminds me that girls do not have "buttons", has not been in trouble at daycare lately, loves to play with his cars, and pretends he is driving to the "store" or "library" in his car.
On June 20 we celebrated Aunt Melanie's and Uncle Brian's wedding and had a great time. July 4 weekend Grandpa and Grandma Uding and Neddenriep came to visit. Even though it rained, we still had a great time. Next big event is at the end of July. Kyle is going to venture a drive with Kyson to Lincoln, NE. Jace and I will follow behind a few days later, but in an airplane. It will be Jace's first time on a plane! Can't wait to hear how Kyle's trip goes. :)
5/25/09---Happy Memorial Day. Jace will be 9 months old in 2.5 weeks and is trying really hard to crawl. He looks like an inchworm..it is soo cute! he has also been drinking more out of his sippy cup and eating more baby/table food. Still only has 1 tooth though. The poor little guy has also had to go back to the doctor for his cough.. We are back on the neb treatments and taking steriods this time. He has also been referred to a Pulmonologist, and hopefully they will just tell us it is that time of year! Jace has also started jabbering quite a bit. I think he is starting to say "mama". :) Sunday, while Daddy was covering the Indy 500, I took the boys to the pool for its Summer grand opening. It was Jace's first time in the pool(of course I forgot my camera..but wasn't sure how that would have worked with me and the 2 boys anyway. :) On Saturday, we took both boys to the Indy 500 parade. They loved it! Kyson got to see horses, motorcycles, and big ballons in the shape of Super Grover, a Pink Ponie, Sponge Bob, etc...He also loved listenting to the marching bands. It was a good time.. might have to make it a yearly event. We are still working with Kyson on the potty training...tried doing just underwear this weekend and it didn't work so well...too much going on that we forgot to remind Kyson to go potty(cuz he won't tell you)..This week, we are going to start him in underwear at Daycare though...The pullups are just not working...I hope G-ma and G-pa Neddenriep are ready! :) They will have the boys all of week June 1 while Kyle and I go to Nantuckett, Mass. Good Luck and Have Fun Grandma and Grandpa!! :) Hope everyone had a fun 3 day weekend!
Comments At 'Dr. Neddenriep's' retirement celeb I got to play patty-cake wi/Jace. What a thrill for me. Commonplace for Jace! - Great-grandma Shirley

4/28/09--Jace got his first tooth on 4/21(or that is when we noticed it)!! On top of that, we had to start Jace back on the neb treatments. Luckily he doesn't have pneumonia, but is still battling a case of bronchitis. Hopefully he will get well soon...the poor guy is only 7mnths old and has already had 2 cases of bronchitis and a case of pink eye. Kyson is still doing well with his tubes. We have already seen a difference with the reduced number of runny noses. May 7 is Kyson's f/u appt with the ENT doctor. We do think everything will be good.

4/19/09---On Easter Sunday, Jace was baptized, and I think it was just in the nick of time!! the last few weeks Kyson has been a handful...we will start with him first. :) A few weeks ago Grandma and Pappa N. were able to come and visit for about a week which was really nice and the Grandkids loved it! The problem was when they left, Kyson decided to see how much he could get a way with...He pulled the fire alarm TWICE at his daycare, and yes, the fire dept. did arrive..in fact TWO county fire dept.s arrived!! (notice the web style theme) I will say I don't think it is entirely his fault as the daycare did have a mat close to the wall and all he did was push it closer and stood on the map and pulled the alarm down like it was just another light switch. Now those same mats are on a completely different wall! All Kyson could talk about after that day was wanting to see the firetrucks again! What do you say to that? :) If that wasn't enough the previous day he had a major melt down. It certainly wasn't his first melt down, but this one was like no other...when they start beating their head against the floor you have to wonder what is going through their mind! I'm just praying Jace wasn't watching him do all of this! I'm happy to say this was the last incident like this, and I hope we don't encounter anymore...but I know I still have a 7mnth old! Another update on Kyson, is the BINKY IS GONE!!. Kyson helped Mommy wrap up his binky to give to the Easter Bunny in return for his Easter basket of goodies. It was a dramatic moment, but I think it was even more dramatic for Grandma N. ! :) Once we got the gift box wrapped up, Kyson hid it for the Easter Bunny. I'm happy to say, there was only 1 day he asked for it, and we just reminded him what he did with it and that was the end of that conversation. He now sleeps with his race cars..which is fine by us! He seemed to do ok at daycare also without the binky. Now we are working on officially getting him potty trained. He has been going on the potty, but he doesn't go all of the time. Kyson now has big boy underwear, which we will try to start wearing later in the week/next week. We have to prep the daycare first...and ourselves. I think the biggest deal will be having him go #2 on the potty. I will just let Kyle change him on those days. :) On Easter Monday, Kyson got tubes put into his ears, and he did surprisingly well! We were expecting a very crabby boy later that day, but he was back to his normal wild self about 2hrs afterwards. I think it helped that his cousins Emma and Tyler were still around to play with and take his mind off of everything. To this day he is stilling good, but he continues to try and put things in his ears! He must get that from his Daddy. :)
Jace has also been doing well. As mentioned earlier he was baptized on Easter Sunday. Uncle Craig and Aunt Tara are Jace's Godparent's. He also turned 7months on 4/12(the day he was baptized). He has been trying more baby foods and is sitting up very well. I'm not sure when he will decide to crawl, but I think it will be soon. He is still very entertained by his big brother! Can't wait to see what the next few weeks will bring us! . We hope everyone is able to come and visit us again soon!

3/15/09--Jace is now 6mnths old and he is starting to sit up by himself..Since last doctor's appt. he weighs 17lbs 2.5 oz(40.43%) and is 27inches long(67.83%). His head measured in at 17.75 inches(82.63%). We have also moved him out of the pumpkin seat and into the bigger car seats! All I can say, is I'm thankful Kyson is able to walk on his own!! On 3/18 Jace has next well-visit check up so we will see how big he is. Kyson also has an ENT appt on 3/19, we are looking at getting tubes, since he has had continuous ear infections. Hopefully this will help!.. Kyson is starting to read his own stories and it is so darn cute! The stories Kyle and I have read to him repeatedly are his favorites to read back to us and he does so good. We are continuing to work on our numbers(in English and Spanish. :) and we are working on the alphabet..he is picking up on everything so fast. Jace is too...even though he can't talk yet, you can tell he has a lot to say and is anxious to move around like his big brother..They are a lot of fun to watch...This coming weekend we are going to have a special treat...Grandpa and Grandma Neddenriep are coming to visit!! The boys are going to be very excited! Over Easter, we are going to get Jace Baptized and both families are coming to visit. It is going to be a lot of fun!! I just hope the weather is warmer and stays that way...we are all going a bit stir crazy. We try to take the kids outside as much as we can when it is nice. Jace loves to watch his big brother play on the playground.
Kyson and Jace have more big news---Grandma Uding and Grandpa Neddenriep are both retiring this year!! Congratulations!! Kyson and Jace are offering with open arms to come and visit as often as you can!! :)

2/21/09--Jace is 5mnths old, rolling all over the place, chewing on his fists, eating from a spoon, and showing lots of personality! Kyson is speaking in more sentences and likes to talk about whatever comes to his mind! :) This past month we have had a lot of snow, which was good in way so that Kyson would get to finally use his snowsuit, boots and sled he got for Christmas. He had a blast playing in the snow! I think we are all ready for the warmer weather to return though. Daddy has been taking Kyson to several Highschool and College basketball games, which Kyson seems to enjoy. they have also gone to the book store alot, which Kyson likes to play with the Thomas the Train set while he is there. Kyson's "big" think right now are cars and trains. He loves the movie Cars, and likes to say "ka-chow" like Lightening McQueen(for those who haven't seen the movie, that is the main race car :).
kyson still makes his way to the potty, and we are trying to give ourselves the courage to take away the "binky". I think one day we are just going to have to say the "monkey" took it and leave it that.

1/17/09--A lot has happened within the last month and a half. Jace is now 4 months and has rolled over from his belly to his back. He is also talking(cooing) up a storm and he laughs and smiles everytime he sees his big brother come into the room. We have also started him on cereal which he doesn't do too bad with the spoon. At 4 months Jace is 14 lbs and 15 oz which puts him in the 53% for weight. His height is 25 3/4 inches which puts him at 80% and his head is a whopping 17 1/4 inches which is in at the 87%. No doubt about it that our boys have big heads, but they are also really smart! :) Jace is really starting to look more and more like his Daddy too.
Kyson's major milestone.....he has been going on the potty!! Jan. 3 was a date I'll never forget as we were at the Uding Grandparent's and he went #2 on the big boy potty! When we got back to Indiana he did it again, but with a bit more hesitation as if he was not supposed to do that on the potty. Ever since he has been doing #1 at least once if not twice a day...usually right before bath or bed and when he wakes up he will go. It is very exciting!! I'm hoping maybe by Summer we will have ourselves a potty trained little boy, but we will see. Kyson has also gotten to go to his first Pro Football game and it was with Mommy! We got to sit in my Company's suite at the Colt's game which was really cool.
The week of 1/12 has been an adventure as Jace developed Bronchiolitis and has to be on a Nebulizer...not fun, but it seems to be helping. Needless to say, the virus has been spreading through the family like wild fire and I hope we are going to be done with this soon...It is sad listening to the little guy try to breath. I feel his pain as Mommy is going through the same thing.
Backing up about 1 month, Christmas thwas a lot of fun with Kyson. He really enjoyed opening his presents...I think he got so much stuff he didn't know what to play with first. Jace got a lot of nice things too, many of which will be more fun when he can sit on his own, but that won't be too much longer. We have had him in the Bumbo seat and he does pretty good. They are growing up too fast!

12/2/08--Jace had his first Thanksgiving and we all spent it at Grandma and Pappa Uding's house. Jace met his Great Grandma Head for the first time, along with some of his Great Aunt's and Uncle's and 2nd cousins. Kyson had a lot fun playing on the trampoline and riding Emma's tricycle and push car. When we got back home, Kyson helped Mommy decorate for Christmas. He put the ornaments on the Christmas tree. He really loves all of the lights that we put up around the house. Jace has also taken notice of all of the lots. He has really been studying things these past days and he has also been laughing a lot more. It won't be long before he rolls over and is able to sit on his own. He already sits pretty good in the Bumbo chair. He must also be working on some teeth because he has been drooling alot and biting his fist. He might end up getting all of his teeth before Kyson gets the rest of his. He is still missing some of his side teeth!
On 12/1 We converted Kyson's crib into the Toddler bed. This is day 2 and he hasn't tried to get out of bed yet! We will see what happens in a few more days. :) We also had to move Jace into the Playpin because he has out grown the bassinet. His furniture hasn't arrived yet..I'm hoping it comes in by the end of this year. This weekend St. Nick will be coming to the house. I'm excited to see the look on Kyson's face when he sees the stockings full of stuff.
As far as daycare, both boys are doing great. We've been told Jace is low maintenance! I hope he continues to be that way! :) Lately Kyson has been making up for Jace being low maintenance. He has definitely hit the 2 year mark! We can only hope it gets better! :)

11/12/08--Kyson turned 2 years old and Jace turned 2 months old! It was the day for the "2's". The weekend of 11/8 we had a small party for Kyson where he was joined by the Uding Grandparent's, Tyler, Aunt Katie and Jim. He had a lot of fun opening his gifts and riding his new bike and playing with his new basketball hoop!. Jace enjoyed his naps that day. :) On Kyson's actual B-day he stayed home with Mommy and Jace and we made Chocolate Cookies, colored and danced to music. The next day Jace and Kyson had their well visits.
Kyson at 2yrs weighs 27.5 lbs and is 34.5 inches long. His head is 19.75 inches(which puts him in the 85.8%)..everything else was in the 50%.
Jace at 2 months weighs 11lbs 11 oz(50th%) and is 23 1/4(63%) inches long. his head is 16 1/4 inches (puts him at 80.89%)
Soo...we can say our kids have large heads, but that just means they have large brains! :)
The weekend of 11/14 Brian, Amy, Dakato, and Jaxson came to visit us in Indy. Kyson and Dakato are a little over a year apart and had a good time playing together. Jaxson and Jace are just 7 months apart. It was a fun weekend for everyone!
On 11/17, Mommy ended her maternity leave and went back to work. :( It was also Jace's first day at Daycare and Kyson's 3rd in the "2's" room. A lot of changes going on, but the Neddenriep family is very familiar with change! :)
we are looking forward to seeing more family over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

10/31--Happy Halloween. This was Jace's first halloween and Kyson's 2nd. Jace was a tootsie roll and Kyson was a TV! Both got a lot of compliments. Mommy was pretty proud of Kyson's custome(it was homemade :) I think Kyson enjoyed handing out the candy as much as he did trick or treating(if not more). Earlier that week we went to our Subdivision's halloween party. Kyson got to play a few games and get more candy/prizes for doing the games. It was fun.
On 10/24 the Neddenriep Grandparent's made their first trip to Indy. They got to stay for almost a full week which was great for everyone! Kyson got to have his first of 3 birthdays for turning 2. He is going to think he has a birthday every week! :) Kyson and Pappa also carved a pumpkin, which was Kyson's first pumpkin carving, and probably Pappa's first in 20 plus years. :) They both did a great job! :) Kyson also learned more stretch moves from Pappa and learned that Pappa loves the book "the Cat in the Hat". I think he read it 5 times because he enjoyed it so much. :)

10/19/08--On 10/12 Jace turned 1 month old and Kyson is 23 months old! Wow how time flies. We found out at Jace's appt that he now weighs 9lbs 10oz and is 19.5 in. long. Both put him in about the 50th percentile. He is a very strong little boy....just trying to keep up with big brother. Kyson still loves his little brother and is constantly wanting to hold Jace and "pet" him. He is a very good big brother. Also on 10/12 we took the boys to the pumpkin patch. Kyson and Jace both rode on their first hayride out to the patch. Kyson also got to pick out his pumpkin and he jumped on a big blow up trampoline...he loved it!
Jace is now smiling and starting to make baby noises. He is also starting to hold his head up really good. Kyson is finally getting the rest of his teeth in too. It has been a busy month with "new".
On 10/18 Grandma U., Aunt Melanie, Tyler, and Emma came to visit and we all went to the Children's museum. Kyson and Jace went through their first Haunted House, they saw dinosaur bones, the real batmobile, a real train engine and caboose among many other things. Everyone had a blast.

10/9/08--on 10/6 we took Jace to the doctor for his first cold...nothing major, but he was working on an ear infection...he is on antibiotics and seems to be doing better. He had another weigh in, and came in at 9 lbs even! Our little guy is getting to be not so little anymore. He is already starting on 5oz, but he is sleeping between 5-8hrs at night!(the 8th hr usually ends at 4am--still working on that) On 10/13 he will have is 1 month check up...HOW TIME FLIES!. A lot has happened since the last update...Craig and Aunt Tara tied the knot on 9/27, and Kyson made all of us very proud! He walked down the aisle with no problems! We weren't sure how it was going to go, since that morning things were going a little rough, but he did great! He looked so cute in his tux too! :) It was a beautiful wedding and it was great to see everyone. I think the next trip to NE will be by airplane though!
Kyson and Jace are still getting along...Kyson sometimes shows his affection to Jace in somewhat of an agressive manner(he grits his teeth and wants to shake him), but we tell him to be nice, which he then reverts to a soft stroking motion and sometimes tries to sneak in a little smack...He reminds me of "Lenny" from the book "Of Mice and Men". :) We hope to take the boys to the pumpkin patch this weekend, and Kyle might try to take Kyson to his first football game--the Indiana game. The next few weekends we will be visited again by Grandparents and Aunts, and before we know it Kyson will be having his 2nd Birthday!! then I have to return to work!! Has it really been 9weeks already?? Time is going way too fast!
Sept. 16, 2008---Ironically updating the website on Jace's original due date, but VERY PROUD to announce he arrived on 9/12/08 at 12:49pm EST.!!!! :-) He weighed in at 7lbs 8oz and was 20inches long. Just 1 inch longer than big brother and 7oz heavier! the delivery went very smoothly and very fast! We arrived at the hospital at 8am est. and had everything hooked up by 9am. Dr. broke my water at 9:45am and all went really fast from that point on! This time my doctor was there to catch the baby! :-) Everyone is doing great. Jace is as cute and sweet as ever and Kyson loves his little brother. His daycare class made cards for Jace, and Kyson picked out a stuffed turtle that plays baseball and sings. I think he would really like to keep the turtle for himself! On the way home from the hospital, Kyson announced everyone's names in the car.."mommy, daddy, Kyson, and Jace". It was really cute. I'm glad we are all finally home together as a family! This week we will all be resting up for the weekend of 9/27 which is Aunt Tara and soon to be Uncle Craig's wedding. Already it feels like my maternity leave is soon to be over with everything we have planned...At least Thanksgiving is just right after I return to work so that will help keep the excitement going!
Sept. 11, 2008---not necessarily a date we want in the scrapbook, but we have to let everyone know it is official.....little Jace will make his debut into the world tomorrow on 9/12. The induction will begin around 8am(EST)...if we are lucky it will be a fast delivery. I think Kyson is starting to feel something is about to happen too. Tonight will be his last night by himself with Mommy and Daddy...I hope we are all prepared! :-) ps...notice their birthdays will be exactly 22months apart!
Sept. 3, 2008--went to the Dr. today and just as I suspected, Jace is going to be stubborn like his big brother...still no progression. We however, did think we were going to have to go to the hospital last night because I was timing contractions every 15 minutes and then down to 10, but when I went to take a shower, they disappeared! I even ended up getting a good night sleep. Talk about disappointment!! (not on the sleeping though) I told the doctor about all of that and she said that isn't uncommon and it is called "false labor"...What it does.. is make me more nervous of knowing whether or not my contractions are the real thing, and if I jump in water will they go away. I guess I will be a very clean patient when the time comes. :-)
Aug. 27, 2008--Had another Dr. appt today, and still hanging out at 2cm! I guess Jace is going to be just like his big brother, and wait it out as long as he can(we are giving him until 9/12!) I've been having a lot more contractions, but that doesn't appear to mean too much yet..I'm not sure Kyson really understands what is going on yet, but he is starting to notice Jace's room more and the baby things that are in it... When we ask him where Baby Jace is, he will go to my belly. I just hope he doesn't go into complete shock when he sees Jace in person and Mom's belly doesn't look like she just swallowed a torpedo!! I'm still guessing he will show his little face early in the week of 9/8..but we will see.
