Jan. 23rd- She is having a blast walking around the house. Her steps are still shaky, but in a month she will be a pro! Some of Vanessa's new words are "thank you", "mine" (thanks to her brother), "shoes" and then she says, "bye-bye". The girl loves socializing! She nicknamed her pacifier "ba-ba", and she can generally repeat anything you say within reason. William has been battling ear infections lately. He never had one until a month ago, and now he has had 3 ear infections! He now attends 2 MDO schools and LOVES them both. We will register him for Preschool next year, big boy. His new thing is to ask, "Mommy, what's that?". William is gaining vocabulary by the minute. The best thing happening in the house is that they both play together now. You tell them to play in the playroom, and they stay there for at least 30 minutes! This is a huge accomplishment. December 2nd- Talk, talk, talk! Vanessa is saying about 5-7 words and William's vocabulary is exploding. She had a wonderful first birthday filled with presents, friends and family. Check out the slide show of her birthday party pictures. William is obsessed with tunnels, bridges, and racing cars. Vanessa enjoys listening to stories and dancing to music. This year, Christmas will be SO much fun. We have decorated the house, and we were able to put up the full size tree! The family is really looking forward to the Winter break. October 8th-Vanessa loves taking her brothers toys away from him. He gets mad, but she never backs down! She will be the bully. She will also be bigger than him soon. They do wear the same size diapers, and I'm sure it will be Vanessa to move to the bigger size first. Vanessa is beginning to eat table food, and William continues to be a horrible picky eater. William is enjoying his Mother Day's Out classes at school and Vanessa loves the individual attention from her grandma's. Our family is looking forward to the cooler weather and all the fun activities and holidays that Fall brings. August 17th- We are all moved in to the new house. William is a pro at climbing the stairs already! He had his doctor weigh-in appointment and is back on the charts at 25 lbs. We will continue to monitor his weight gain every three months. Vanessa is a crawler!!! She went to her 9-month well appointment today. She weighs 20 lbs, and is very tall for her age. Brad and I have both begun our staff training for the new school year, and we are both very excited! June 24th- Many changes! We are moving to Kingwood, wow. Within the next month we should be settled into our new home. William loves his new big boy bed, and Vanessa is still the best baby I know. Updates will be few and far between due to the move, but I will continue to upload pictures.
