Update 11/01/2009 We have had a busy week! Last weekend we went to Boo In The Zoo, which is trick-or-treating in the Greenville Zoo. This week G. & G. Roush came down to visit so they could eat lunch with Madison at school and then go to Kennedy's school Halloween party. The girls were thrilled to have them both at their schools! Last night was trick-or-treating and the girls thought it was very special to have G. and G. Roush take them around. We had such a great weekend!

Update 10/17/2009 We just got back from our trip to Myrtle Beach. The weather was a little on the chilly side but we still had so much fun. The girls had fun building sand castles and playing in the water park at our hotel. Our hotel was awesome! The room was really nice and the pool area was so much fun; it had a water slide and a heated pool and lazy river. We were in a perfect location and saw dolphins all day, they were so neat to watch. Eric and I swam in the ocean a couple of times just to get the full effect of going to the beach and Madison got in about waist high. Kennedy got her feet in the water a couple times. We always have so much fun in Myrtle Beach, it was a great trip!

Update 10/8/2009 Today was Kennedy's school field trip to Niven's Apple Farm. They got to go on a hayride through the woods, pick apples and pumpkins, and go through a corn maze. Kennedy was so excited that Dad was able to come this year! We felt really bad not having Madison with us since she's in Kindergarten now, so we made sure we got her a pumpkin too.

Update 8/31/2009 Today was Kennedy's first day of K-4 preschool, she was so excited to go this year. Eric and I both dropped her off and she just walked in the classroom and started playing with all her old friends. It was such a relief this year leaving without her crying! When I picked her up she told me all about her fun day. Madison has been in school for almost two weeks now. She loves school but is very exhausted when she gets home. I keep telling her that it will get better. She must be very good at school because she has gotten two prizes now for keeping all of her balloons each week (a balloon is pulled if their bad). Today was my first day alone without any kids, it was very weird to say the least. The morning went by so fast, before I knew it I had to go pick up Kennedy.

Update 8/19/2009 Today was Madison's first day of Kindergarten. She woke up to her alarm this morning and made her bed and got dressed. She came downstairs all ready to go, she was so excited! When we dropped her off at her classroom this morning she was all smiles and so brave. I cried when we started walking away realizing how old she is now and how fast time has gone by; she's not a baby anymore. I can't wait to pick her up at the bus stop at 2:30!

Update 8/9/2009 This weekend we went camping with our friends the Curtis's. We started off by taking a 2 hour tubing ride down the river. The girls did great for the first hour; then Madison almost flipped her tube going through some rapids and it went down hill from then on. I held Kennedy in my tube the last hour and she cried that WHOLE time. I think next time we will wait until they're a little older! After that we set up our tents and the girls couldn't be happier to be off the river. We cooked hot dogs and had some smores, it was so much fun. We wanted to go camping because Madison starts school in a week, what a great way to wind down the summer:-)

8/1/2009 Update The girls have been wanting to go to Build-a-bear so we gave them a list of things that they needed to do for 2 weeks. If they got 5 sad faces we couldn't go; lets just say that they were up to 4 and we decided to go earlier:-) They had so much fun; Kennedy picked out a rainbow bear and Madison got Hello Kitty. They each picked out an outfit and shoes also. They have already been talking about what outfits they want Santa to bring them for their animals.
Update 7/22/2009 We have had a very busy summer, I can't believe it's almost over with. Last week we went to Ohio for Lola's baptism. The girl's had so much fun getting to see their cousin's again. And Lola is an absolute doll; she just melts your heart. It was so good to see our family and friends again! Were looking forward to our Luau this weekend, we can't wait!!!
Update 6/27/2009 Madison's last swim meet was this morning at our neighborhood pool. She did so good! I was so excited taping her in the first video that I forgot to follow her with the camera. She got first place in three of her heats! I can't believe how much she has learned this year, they were actually learning how to dive toward the end. We're looking forward to next year already. Kennedy is already talking about being on the team next year, we need to get rid of the floaties first.
Update 6/13/2009 Madison had a swim meet today and did awesome! She was very nervous this morning and I really thought she was going to get sick by the way she looked. She was fine after the first Freestyle race, which she did very well. After that her next three races were a piece of cake and she kept giving everyone a high five with a big smile on her face. It was so nice to see her have fun today!
Update 6/6/2009 What a busy weekend so far. This morning Madison had an away swim meet and she did great. She was a little nervous and scared but all that changed after she received some ribbons at the end. We are so proud of her. This afternoon we celebrated Kennedy's 4th Birthday party with some friends. She wanted a ladybug theme this year and it turned out really cute. She had a smile on her face all day that was priceless!

Update 5/20/2009 The school year has finally come to an end and our 1st baby has graduated from preschool. Today was Madison's graduation at school and we are so proud of her. She has made so many friends and has learned so much. Her class had a ceremony today full of songs and things that they have learned throughout the year. Each kid received a diploma and shook hands with the teacher, it was so cute. She is definitely ready for Kindergarten this Fall. Kennedy has enjoyed this year also and has come so far since the beginning of the year. I am so proud of our girls!
Update 5/4/2009 We had a really fun weekend. On Saturday we went to the Ducky Derby in Downtown with the girls. It's a bunch of rubber ducks that race down the Reedy River Falls; the girls thought it was the greatest thing! That night Eric and I went out with our friends the Curtis's to eat some Sushi and then took the trolley around Downtown. We had such a great weekend and the weather was beautiful!
Update 4/27/2009 G. &. G. Roush came down to visit this weekend. The girls had so much fun going to Downtown Greenville with them and swimming in our pool while they were here. We couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend.
Update 4/12/2009 We had a great Easter! This morning the girls woke up and opened their Easter baskets. They got stickers, wind up bunnies and some My Little Pony toy's that they have been wanting. We went to church and then came home and had a little Easter egg hunt. Their eggs were filled with coins, because the Easter bunny thought that they have had way to much candy lately and they also found fishing poles. They've been wanting to go fishing for some reason. It has been a great day so far!
Update 4/6/2009 We just got back from Hilton Head beach and had a great time. The girls actually stepped in the ocean! We went to visit Uncle Aaron and Aunt Courtney before they have their baby. We had so much fun seeing them again and can't wait to meet baby Lola in June.
Update 3/22/2009 This weekend G. & G. Smith came down to visit us on their way to Myrtle Beach. It was so good to see them again and the girls were very sad to see them leave. We also went to the Columbia Zoo because the weather has been so beautiful. Madison fed the giraffes this time and Kennedy decided that she wanted to ride on a pony. She looked so cute with her helmet on and acted like she had done it before. It has been such a great weekend!
Update 3/5/2009 We had an exciting week in S. Carolina, because it snowed!! We actually got about 5 inches and it was so pretty to see it again. The girls got to go sledding with their friends and missed 3 days of school. The snow is all melted now and it's supposed to be in the 70's this weekend!
Update 2/14/2009 The girls had their Valentine's Day parties at school this week. They had so much fun playing games and hitting a pinata. We are so thankful that we found this school; it's such a great group of kids.
Update 1/31/2009 We just got back from our trip to Disney World. We had such a great time and it was so magical for the girls. The girl,s favorite part was meeting all the princess's, they were speechless when they would talk to them. They also rode every ride that they could at the parks. We spent 4 days at the Magic Kingdom because there was so much to do there, the nightly parade and fireworks were amazing! We can't wait to go back again.
