Update 7/22/2007 Grandma and Grandpa Shine visited us this week and the girls had so much fun. They spent hours swimming in the pool with them! After they left we spent the rest of the week just relaxing. On Saturday Dad took the girls to Reedy Falls Park in downtown Greenville for the morning and they had a great time. They played at the park, in the river, and in the kid's water fountain. Dad had so much fun!
Update 7/09/2007 This weekend we went to see our really good friends from Ohio; they now live in Texas but were in Columbia for the weekend. We had dinner with them and then went to the mall to let the girls run around and have some ice cream. Madison and Kennedy had so much fun with Ella and Alle. It was so good to see the Thompson family again and we miss you guy's so much!
Update 7/05/2007 We went to see fireworks last night at Reedy Falls in Downtown Greenville. The girls had so much fun running around with other kids and didn't seem to get tired one bit. We were really worried when the fireworks started because both girls started crying and everyone was staring at us. After awhile we calmed them down and they really enjoyed watching them.

All the mom's took the kids home when it got late and the guy's stayed to play poker. It was a fun weekend!
Update 6/19/2007 We just got back from our trip to Ohio for Uncle Aaron and Aunt Courtney's wedding. It was a very busy week and the girls seemed to handle it pretty well considering how tired they were. The girls and I stayed at G. & G. Shines house for a week while Eric went camping with the guys. The girls had so much fun visiting with Uncle Aaron and Aunt Manvi and Uncle Jon and Aunt Leslie. Madison loved playing with her cousin Gabe. We drove to Cleveland for the wedding Friday morning. Madison did a great job as a flower girl and went along with everything. At the wedding reception she was completely passed out in daddy's arms by 9:00. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and were so happy for Aaron and Courtney!!!

We had pizza and cake, opened gifts, and then went for a swim. Everyone had a really good time. Kennedy loves all of her new toys.... and so does Madison!!!
Update 5/30/2007 This past weekend we went with the Zondervan's to Greenville's Freedom Weekend Aloft. It's a big festival with tons of hot air balloons that launch and fly overhead. The girls were amazed at how big they were. On the way home we saw several balloons inflating and taking off. It was a nice weekend but very hot!
Update 5/21/2007 The girls had a great weekend, they enjoyed swimming in the pool and going to Paris Mountain. They are really enjoying the pool; the water is up to 84 so it's quite pleasant to swim in. It was a very nice and peaceful weekend.
Update 5/7/2007 Grandma and Grandpa Roush visited us this weekend and the girls had so much fun with them. Despite all the rain we at least had one day that we could swim and lay out by the pool. The girls loved playing with Grandma and they seemed to really like picking on Grandpa. Kennedy liked to climb on Grandpa and sit on his head; she is so ornery. Thanks for a great weekend!
Update 04/23/2007 We just got back from our vacation to Myrtle Beach today and we had so much fun! The girls did so well and enjoyed every minute on the beach. Kennedy spent most of her time trying to catch all the seagulls. Madison built sandcastles and loved finding shells to bring home for all of her friends and grandparents. We spent most of the time on the beach and would go out for dinner; the girls had fun at the Hard Rock Cafe and Plant Hollywood. The hardest part of the trip was having to let their hermit crabs go before we left. We had a great time and we can't wait for our next family vacation.
Update 4/09/2007 The girls had a very busy weekend! It started off by coloring eggs Friday night and setting them out for the Easter bunny. On Saturday morning we decided to have the Easter egg hunt in the house, because it was very chilly outside. After finding all the eggs the girls got to see their big surprise from the Easter bunny; new bikes!!! Madison is a pro at riding her bike but poor little Kennedy can't reach her pedals yet. On Sunday the girls had an Easter egg hunt at their friends house with Jace and Jerod. We had a very busy but fun weekend!
Update 4/02/2007 Uncle Aaron and Aunt Courtney came down this weekend and we had such a nice visit with them. Madison and Kennedy had no problems at all warming up to them this time. The girls had so much fun and were very sad when they left. They love their new dresses and stylish sunglasses!
Update 3/24/2007 Today we went to our neighborhood's Easter egg hunt. The girls had so much fun and got tons of eggs filled with candy. They had two different age groups; one was 0-2 yrs and the other was 3-6 yrs. Kennedy did so well that we had to take some eggs out of her basket and give some to the other kids! The girls were both terrified of the Easter Bunny; he was a little scary looking.
Update 3/14/2007 This past weekend we took the girls to the Columbia Zoo and they had so much fun. We have a pass to the Greenville Zoo but it's a lot smaller; Madison was amazed to find out that there were other zoos. Last night we went to our friend's house for dinner and the girls had so much fun playing outside with Jack and Grace. It's been in the 80's the past few days so the girls have been spending most of their time outside.
Update 3/8/2007 Today we went to the zoo with our friends Jace, Jerod, and Tera. Madison and Jace are so cute together; once in awhile you will catch them holding hands or giving each other hugs. Not that much has been going on, we have just been enjoying the nice weather and are anxiously waiting for the day that we get to open up our pool!
Update 2/23/2007 The girls had so much fun playing outside yesterday in the 70-degree weather. It was absolutely beautiful and daddy ended up only working a half day so we could go to Paris Mountain for a run. The girls had so much energy and ended up hiking about a mile; their little legs were so tired!
Update 2/7/2007 This morning the girls and I went to the Greenville Zoo. It was so nice outside, already in the mid 50's. The girls had so much fun looking at all the animals and enjoyed playing at the park afterwards.
Update 2/1/2007 Today was the first snow that we have had since we moved here!!! It was actually the first time that Kennedy has ever seen snow. Dad decided to go into work a little late this morning so he could play in the snow with the girls. They got pulled around in the sled and made a snowman. The snow was so beautiful and I have to admit that it was nice to see it again.
Update 1/27/2007 Today we went to Monkey Joes. It's a really big place with lots of inflatable slides, rock walls, and things to jump on. It also has a concession stand and a lounge area where you can watch tv and go on the internet. The girls and I went yesterday with their friends Jace, Jerod, and Trey. Dad was jealous that he didn't get to go yesterday so we went back today. The girls love Monkey Joes!!!
Update 1/13/2007 Yesterday Madison turned "3" and she had the best Birthday! We rented out a place called PlayNation for her party and it had all sorts of fun things for her and her friends to play on. Grandma and Grandpa Roush were there for all the fun. It was a great time!!
