Names...names...names... Why did we choose the names Lydia and Naomi? Their stories are told in the Bible (Acts 16 and the book of Ruth). They were both women who loved and served God, and it is our prayer that our girls will do the same.

"A rich person is not one who has the most, but one who needs the least."

Stories

11/9/09: Update on the girls   Lydia continues to grow by leaps and bounds. She can count to 20 with just a prompt or two, knows her street address and her birthday. She also thinks she is so sneaky. The other day when Lydia was picking her nose (again) and I reminded her to go get a kleenex. She shook her head and said: "Go a...

10/7/09: Well, Naomi's "due date" has come and gone...apparently she is in no more hurry than her big sister was to be born. 7/16/09: We've been setting an alarm clock for 6 AM in an effort to get Lydia to stay in bed AT LEAST until 6! (So far it hasn't worked too well. But that's another story.) She came in about quarter till the other day, and I asked her if her alarm had gone off. She looked at me, shrugged her shoulders a bit and said, "Figured it went off. Ti...

7/7/09: Growing up stories - Lydia gave me a bit of a start the other day. She had asked for some oatmeal for a snack (her favorite food lately), and I told her I would look to see if there was any left from breakfast in just a minute. I walked back to my room to put away the load of laundry I was carrying and heard her making quite a bit of nois...
