Sasha and the City: Season 2. It's fall now and the air is chilly. The leaves crunch under our feet as we walk to the park. Sasha loves to collect "aircorns" and leaves. She is making all sorts of neat crafts at school. Dressed as Clifford, the big red dog, for Halloween, she proudly marched in the parade around her school playground. Sasha also got to participate in the Halloween parade around our townhouse community. The high school band led the parade with all the trick-or-treaters in tow. It was so much fun!
When asked about the boys in her class, Sasha says "they're okay, but sometimes they're prickly" I think she meant they play rough. ha!

Sasha and the City: Season 1. It's summer and our new city is exciting with lots to do and see. Sasha has made several girl friends (Maddie, Mia and Maia) They do lots of lunches and play dates together. Sharing dolls is just not going to work for these girls. They are very territorial. Babies are owned and taken care of only by their mommies. It's so cute to watch them play and hug eachother. Boys are just gross and loud according to this threesome. Sasha starts nursery school in September. Both Sasha and mama are looking forward to a new experience.

Sasha is 2 and 2 months now. She loved "playing bunnies" with "Godmommy Sue Sue" when she came to visit us from LA. Sasha is saying lots of new sentences with quite a sense of urgency: "Play bunnies, now, mama?" Potty now, mama!" "Go go, see "M" see "O" now!

In just a few more weeks, Sasha will be 2 years old! She continues to amaze us and comprehends so much. She is always creating new games and laughing with us. She is learning many new words each day. We finished our swimming lessons and Sasha can now swim unassisted and hold her breath for 4 seconds! She is comfortable and relaxed when she swims and loves chasing the toys around the pool! We're so proud of her progess.

Sasha is 21 months today! She is becoming interested in potty training and has her own potty. She loves to read books and sing while she sits on her potty. She is saying lots of new words. And what surprises us most is her new ability to think things through and listen more carefully so she does not become so frustrated. We love watching this part of her mature and we are so proud of her!

Sasha is 20 months now and she is saying so many new words: my baby, again, boat, train, wagon, bye-bye, go-go in the car-car to name a few. She gets a huge thrill from helping mama cook in the kitchen and putting the laundry in the washing machine.

Sasha is 18 months now. She is really enjoying the Christmas season. She had so much fun rolling out the Swiss Mierlanderli cookie dough with her mini rolling pin. She had a fun visit with "Opi Claus" on St. Nicolas Day with all the babies in her playgroup. She was still a little fearful of Santa Claus, but after offering him a cookie, she breathed a sigh of relief. Her new words are "ho, ho, ho," for Santa Claus, "look at that!" "all done" and "I don't want that/this" And she made up a new sign for the word "loud," which is pulling on her earlobe.

Sasha is now 17 months and has added "nice" and "bear" to her list of words. She also attempts to say her name. It comes out sounding like "aha" without the "s". And she loves to say "shhh" and put her finger to her lips when her baby doll is sleeping.

Sasha took her first trip to Disney World this month at 16 months. She loved meeting Whinney the Pooh. All the disney characters, rides and crowds didn't scare her at all. She took it all in stride and had a lot of fun.

Sasha is 15 months today! The last month was spent learning new words, perfecting her "running" and playing in her pool with her little buddies. Sasha loves playing with Daddy's old matchbox cars and playing hide and go seek. She loves to feed herself applesauce with her spoon and has learned to use her fork. Hummus and crackers has become her most favorite food mixed with everything!

Sasha is now 14 months and full of activity and curiosity. She's running around and learning new words. She says: Mama, Daddy, Hot, Hi, Bye, Duck, Look, This, That and her favorite word: Doggie. Sasha held up Mama's Rosary beads and said her first sentence, "Look Daddy!" She uses her sign language well for Milk, More and Please. She loves playing in her little pool and loves animals.

SASHA IS WALKING!!!! She loves her new-found freedom! Sometimes she'll come over to me, take my hand in hers and squeeze it to tell me she's going to take off.

Sasha had a terrific time at her Birthday Party. She enjoyed having all her friends and family over to celebrate. She LOVED the cake that Mommy made for her. She took tiny bites of frosting and played with the toy animals on top.

Sasha is ONE today! We can't believe how fast this first year has gone! She is getting so big and learning so much. We are so blessed.

Sasha is now 11 months! She loves eating avacadoes now and cruising around the house with her push cart. The countdown begins as we prepare for her walking by herself and her first birthday on June 8th. What a wonderful year it's been! We're so blessed!

Sasha is 10 months already! She loves to clap her hands to music. She likes to stand up holding onto furniture or holding our hands When we ask her "What does the lion say?" she replies with a LOUD ROAR! It's hysterical!

Sasha is now 9 months. She says Ma-Ma and Da-Da! We LOVE hearing her sweet voice call us. She points to our photos and calls our names.

Sasha's favorite foods are pears, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, apples and bananas. She is not a fan of peaches or squash and her funny face shows it.

Sasha is very expressive and she has a lot to say in her own way. She now waves to everyone. It's the cutest backwards wave! At almost 8 months, two more top teeth are on their way!

Sasha now claps her hands and moves her arms to music. It's so adorable. She really loves music and dancing with mommy.
