Family We want to thank everyone who has prayed for us to have a family. We truly believe these babies were prayed into existance and we ask that you continue to pray for their health and well being. Our Family Story Mommy (Tina) and Daddy (Mike) met through their friend Kelli and started dating October 17, 1998. They got married on September 23, 2000. Mommy and Daddy really wanted to have a family but three years after they got married they still hadn't been able to get pregnant. They went to the fertility clinic for the first time on November 7, 2003. They had to do lots of tests and Mommy took some medicine. They had to have a procedure called IUI four times and on June 7th they found out they were pregnant. A few weeks later they found out that they were getting doubly blessed with twins. After a few months Mommy and Daddy found out they were having one boy and one girl. They started talking about names. They decided that their little boy would be Christian and their little girl would be Patience. Twin pregnancies aren't easy and Mommy had to go on Bedrest right before Thanksgiving. She wasn't able to go anywhere for the holidays but it was worth it to keep the babies safe. When Mommy made it to 34 weeks Dr. Maggie Smith scheduled to have her labor induced on January 28th. However, the babies had other plans...Mommy's water broke at 5:00 a.m. on January 27th. Baby Christian was born at 5:21 p.m. (19 inches 7 pounds 1 ounce) and Patience came quickly at 5:30 p.m (18 inches 5 pounds 7 ounces). In May of 2008 we were stunned to learn that after all the hardships we endured to conceive Christian and Patience we had managed to get pregnant on our own. Chance Michael was born December 21, 2008 at 35 weeks 3 days. He was big and beautiful and ready to come home. He was born at 6:43 p.m. weighing 6 pounds 15.9 ounces and was 19 inches long. |
