My Sweet Boy,
You have such a kind heart! You always want to do what is right and are always willing to help others. You help Harper when she can't do something and you always offer to help clean up or carry things for me. Yesterday Haper couldn't get down off this high bench so you helped get her down and then her pants fell down...so you pulled them up for her! You are so sweet and have told me a few times that Harper looks pretty or that she looks really cute. It always makes me smile because you are so genuine when you say it. You are learning so much in school and LOVE to participate in all the activities that we do. You made me laugh so hard today on the way home. We were talking about fixing something and you said, "maybe goose tape will work.!" I said, "you mean DUCK tape?!" LOL! I love you endlessly!!!!

My Little Helper,
So much has happened over the past few months. We had Thanksgiving at Mimi and Papa's, Far Far, Far Mor, and Uncle Sven came to our house for an early Christmas and the Polar Express train ride, and we spent Christmas with Mimi and Papa! You had so much fun over the holidays and couldn't wait for Santa to bring you Woody from Toy Story! He also sent his elf helper, Mack, to watch over you. You loved waking up each morning and trying to find him. You really enjoyed opneing presents this year too and are already looking forward to your birthday where you will get to open more! You are such a sweet brother to Haper. I always whisper in your ear that I love you. The other morning you were sitting in the bed with Harper and you leaned over and whispered "I love you Harper" into her ear. You always are willing to help me and LOVE cooking, coloring, playing games, and playing outside at the park. You also LOVE to play hide-and-seek and usually hide in the same place each time. It makes Daddy and I laugh. You don't like being the center of attention. We had show and tell at school and you were so excited until you stood up in front of everyone! LOL! You are learning a lot in school. You can write your name now and know a lot of your letters and numbers. You also have started trying to write things to go along with your pictures. I have been so proud at how hard you are working. You still love to cuddle, but are getting so big! How did you grow up so fast? You always make me laugh with the clever things you say. You also are an early riser and start you day by literally jumping right out of bed! LOL! You always want to do what is right and try to please all those around you. You are such a good little boy and I love you with every ounce of my heart...and MORE!

My Little Man,
You are such a great listener and a big helper to Mommy and Daddy. Even at school you are one of the first to clean up all the toys. You always offer to hold Harper's hand in the parking lot and are eager to show and help her do new things. You always make me laugh and each day you amaze me with the knowledge that you know that the memories that you remember. The other day in the car I was talking about Harper and what we should do with her since she wasn't listening very well. You said, "I think we should put her back in Jesus' belly!" LOL! You are growing up so fast...you even said to me, "Mommy, can you come here so I can talk to you for a minute?" You wanted to talk to me about one of your pictures that you had drawn. Another day we were riding in the car and you were asking me if Jesus made the flowers. After we talked about it for a bit you said, "Jesus is AMAZING!" (Too cute!) Today you were reading books to Harper and when she got upset you would say, "Harper, I am here with you!" You are just too darn cute! You love to color, cut, and glue. You also are eager to play any game and to throw and catch a ball. You are such a pleaser and get so upset if you get in trouble by anyone. The little things still excite you and the joy in your face melts my heart each and every day. One of my favorite things to do is watch you ride your bike because there is just a joy that's inside you that I can't describe...you are so confident and have the time of your life....it makes my heart smile. I love you Hudson...my little man.

Sweet Boy,
You are such a sweet boy and brother with a kind heart. I am so proud at how well you share your toys with Harper and how you help her do things that she can't do for herself yet. You love to give Daddy and I big hugs and tell us how much you love us. I don't think you will ever know how much we love YOU! You really enjoy coloring and making pictures and are getting really good at writing a lot of the letters in your name. You also have fun playing games and doing puzzles. You love the outdoors and finding rocks, leaves and sticks. We even found 5 cows in front of our house the other morning! You are also getting better and better at riding your bike and can balance for a long ways. You got so excited the other night when we started building our first fire in the wood-burning stove. You just knew we were having a camp-out! You and daddy did make smores and have hot-chocolate which you thought was pretty great! You have been pretty sick this past week. We found out yesterday that you have pneumonia. You already feel so much better which I am so thankful for. Your memory still amazes me. You tell me things that happened close to a year ago and it's like you remember it like yesterday and you remember it accurately! The other day daddy got lost going to the doctor and you told him how to get there...even though you had only been there once before! I always look forward to each and every minute I get to spend with you and watch you grow. I love you all the way to the moon and back!

My Sweet Boy,
I don't think I have ever gone this long without updating your site...we have been really busy and doing lots of fun things! You have gotten to spend time with BOTH sets of grand-parents this past month and had sooo much fun! You also got to go see Walking With the Dinosaurs with Mommy and Harper and also went to the Curious George museum with Mimi. You have really gotten into dinosaurs recently and are learning so much about them! You also got a really cool new bike called a balance bike. You have so much fun riding it and are so confident when you ride. There is always a smile on your face the minute you get on! We have been going to the park a lot so you can ride and then we play on the playground. The other day we were all going to go down the curly slide together and you said, "Come on guys...lets go as a team! Puddle up!" You make me laugh! You are learning so many things at school and are learning how to make new letters. I am quickly finding out that you like your letters and pictures to look a certain way or you start to get upset. I have loved being your teacher and watching you learn, but it is hard for me to see you get so frustrated. A quick hug and kiss usually do the trick though! :-) You went to your first college football and vollyball game too...and thought that they were great! You get so excited about life and new adventures...I can't get enough of you. You are such a good listener and follow directions so well. You truly do make your daddy and I very proud of you. You still love to help Harper and enjoy giving her hugs when we pick her up from her classroom. You are also really a tough kid. You only cry when you are really hurt...otherwise you just get right back up and keep playing. You tell me several times a day that you love me and there isn't one time that it doesn't make me smile. That dimple of yours...just gets me each day. One more funny thing you said to me happened at Daddy's soccer game last night. I was at the top of the bleachers and you and Harper were down at the bottom. You were wanting me to come down with me so you said, "Ring, Ring...Mommy...answer the phone." I did and you told me, "The party is starting down here. The party is for you so you better come down here!" You are so clever on getting your way! LOL! You still love doing puzzles and reading books...and loved to be help and hugged. You are growing up to be such a big boy...you amaze me each day wtih what you say and do. How could I forget to write this down??? On the way to the dinosaur show, you starting screaming! I looked back, and there was a mouse sitting right beside you on your carseat...it had been on your hand!!! I still can't believe it. We didn't find it and it lived in our car for a while until just recently we finally caught it. You were so brave and we both laugh about it now...but can you believe you had a MOUSE on your hand? LOL! Hudson, I love you more and more each day.
My Little Man,
I was just looking at pictures of you from just a few months ago and I can't get over how you are changing! You are growing up before my eyes and I am having so much fun watching you learn in school. We have been singing a lot of songs and today you sang some of them all by yourself on the way to school. You made me laugh when you sang, "What will the weather, weather, weather, what will the weather be today? Is it sunny, sunny, sunny, s-o-n-n-y today?" I was so proud of you for getting so much of it right!!! You really love learning and are eager to do any of the learning activities at school.
You also LOVE looking at the clouds. Whenever we get in the car you like to look for things in the sky and tell me all about them. You also will make up funny stories to tell me. You are such a sweet big brother and love Harper so much. You love holding her hand and helping her with things. You two are sharing much better now and love to run around and giggle.
You have also gotten very good at cleaning your toys up. You put your blocks away so nice and straight and are one of the first ones to help clean up all the centers at school. You make me smile when you ask me, "Momma, do you need my help? Can I help ya?" You are growing into such a good little boy (you always have been)...I feel blessed everyday to have you as my son and to get to spend so much time with you.
It still amazes me, but my love for you grows bigger EVERY DAY! I love you little man!

My Big Boy,
You are growing up too fast!!! You were so excited for school to start and have loved meeting all your new friends. It has been so much fun being your teacher and being able to watch you play and learn. You have done a great job with making the transition of starting school AND having you mommy as your teacher. I don't think you quite act how you did for Ms. Hollie...(She says you were the teacher's pet and ALWAYS did what you were supposed to!) You tend to whine a little bit to me, but have already gotten so much better with it this week! You are also the youngest in your class by 6 months and you are keeping up just great with all the other kids!
Not only do I think you are getting big, but you do too! You tell me all the time that you can do things by yourself because you are a "Big boy!" It makes me laugh and I love that you are trying so many new things on your own. You are also a very caring boy. Anytime anyone gets upset you quickly try to help and make them feel better.
Mimi and Papa came to visit you at your new house!!! You had lots of fun showing them the new baby chicks. You also got your first "big" boo-boo on the back of your head. You didn't need stitches, but you got to go to Daddy's work to get some special medicine on your cut. You were so brave and did such a good job!
You are starting to write your letters and are great at drawing lines from the top to the bottom. Your vocabulary is growing just like you. The other day you told me something was "expensive!" Too cute! I love watching all the things that you can do and I love the fact that you still love for me to hold and cuddle with you. I think my heart grows with more and more love for you just as your body is growing everyday.
I entered you into a cute kid contest! There were 75 entries and you won 3rd place!!! We now get to have a free photo session with a photographer and get some pictures to take with us! Yay!
What a fun time we are having together....I love you so much and even though you are a "big boy" you will always be my little man!

Mommy

My Sweet Little Man,
Our daily conversations never fail to put a smile on my face! You tell me that you love me all the way to the moon and NOT back. You like to talk about how we would just stay on the moon together and maybe even build a rocket ship to get back! LOL! The other day, daddy and I were talking about how we both left our grocery store cards at the house to get the good deals at the grocery store. You said, "I don't have mine either...I lost it." I said, "Hudson, you never had one!" You responded with, "I know...that was my joke!" You make us laugh with all your jokes! You are such a caring little boy. You always apologize when something happens and are quick to remind me that accidents do happen! I forgot something at the house and was talking about it in the car and you said, "Mommy...it's ok...accidents happen!" LOL! I do think that you have REALLY GOOD hearing! Anytime daddy and I are talking about something quietly you can still hear us. We were talking extra soft to see just how good you could hear and we couldn't help but laugh because you kept hearing everything we were saying even though I was just whispering. You love looking for different shapes in the clouds. Today you saw a monkey riding a tricycle and an alligator. You thought that it was so funny! We also go to a special ice cream place in town for special treats. When we were there today, there was a bird in the store! You were the one who found it when it almost flew right into you. You thought it was pretty silly. You still enjoy feeding the animals each day and could prob. live off popsicles if I would let you! LOL! We have also been talking a lot about how we all got here. You think it is so neat that we were all in Jesus' heart and just are so interested in how we got from Jesus' heart to our parents. I told you that Jesus had a special plan for you and that he wanted Mommy and Daddy to love you and give you tons of hugs and kisses. You asked how we got you and I told you that you started out like a little bity seed in my belly. You looked at me and said, "I bet daddy put that seed in your mouth and you swallowed it!" LOL! Like I said, our conversations never fail to make me smile!
You are getting very excited about school now and can't wait for your friends to come to the classroom. You have been helping me get the room ready and it looks great! You love sharing your toys with others (except for Harper sometimes) and are a great listener when it is time to clean up or leave a fun place. You have even started doing some jobs around the house to earn money to buy toys that you WANT! You were so proud of yourself when you completed your chart and had a ball picking out your new harmonica. You carried it around with you everywhere and would just pull it out and start playing it whenever you got the itch. LOL! You are growing up so fast, but you still enjoy big hugs and sitting in my lap to listen to stories. I have had so much fun being able to stay home with you all day long. You have made my heart smile a couple of times when you have said, "Mommy, thank you for staying home with me." You do miss seeing your daddy as much as you used to, but he always finds special time to play with you when he gets home. I have to say that I am cherishing every second I get to be with you and am looking forward to being able to teach you and see see you interact with your friends at school! What a fun adventure we are about to start together...I truly feel blessed.
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

My Little Kidder,
Well, you def. take after me in one area...you love to kid! LOL! You will say something and then will follow it with, "I was just kidding with you guys." It is so cute. Some of your other phrases are, "ya know?, "hey you guys...", "Is that funny?", and "Hey Mama, Hey Daddy...I love you." You are just so darn sweet! I attempted to cut your hair for the first time and I pretty much took all of it off! It is much cooler for you though and I have to admit, you look pretty cute! You sat there the entire time and believe me...it took a while! You continue to be such a big help to mommy and daddy and are able to put your clothes and shoes on my yourself. You are also starting to dance more and more! You will say, "Hey guys...watch my moves!" You are very shy when strangers come and talk to you, but are a ball full of energy and verbal expression around your friends and loved ones. You have been a huge help to me when we feed the animals! You have loved watching the baby chicks and think they are so cute. I love you little man...more than you will ever know!

My Joyful Hudson,
We had so much fun celebrating July 4th at Mimi and Papa's house. You got to go fishing, play hide-n-seek, and raced around the house with Mimi and Papa! You also got a chance to visit some of your friends in Marietta...you still miss your friends. You LOVE playing hide-n-seek. You are so funny though because you tell everyone where you are hiding before you go there! We all think it is so funny. Once you get found you say, "Let's hide again!" You love to tell stories, ask questions, and read books. You have also had fun feeding the animals on the farm. You are such a big help. You help me carry the food out and then you throw it out to the chickens. You aren't so sure about going in and feeding Jack and the sheep yet, but have enjoyed watching the baby chicks run around the pen. You think they are so cute. You also enjoy going in the barn and looking for eggs. We haven't found any yet, but I'm sure we will any day now. You are great at making connections from a present event to an event in the past...you never fail to amaze me at how observant you are. You love looking at nature and are known to be able to find a needle in a hay stack. Whenever we lose anything, you always seem to be able to find it. We have lots of fun playing games together when Harper takes her nap. We get to have special Mommy and Hudson time where we can paint, play with playdough, and other big boy things that Harper is just a tad to little for. I cherish this time with you because I know you are growing up before my eyes. We have just planted a garden by the barn. I can't wait to see your reaction as things start to grow and you help me pick things out. You are such a wonderful listener and I can always count on you to help me or follow directions when I ask you to do something. You are such a good boy and Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you. I love you more than words can explain.
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

My Sweet Little Man,
Each and every day your smile warms my heart and lights up any room you are in! I love watching your face and hearing your excitement as you discover the world around you. You love seeing butterflies and will start whispering making sure not to scare them away. You also love talking to the animals and are so sweet to them. There isn't a day that goes by that you don't ask to go visit Jack, the donkey! You are just a few months past 3 now, but are such a big boy. You are trying all sorts of new foods, which is very big for you! You even ate almost a whole cheeseburger the other day..it was kid-size, but you still almost ate the entire thing! You can put your shoes on by yourself now and are a rock-star at doing puzzles. You really enjoy reading stories and are quick to recognize certain letters or pictures in a book. Tonight you were sitting on my lap on the porch and you said, "Mommy, I like living here!" I am so glad that you do. You are getting to experience all sorts of wonderful things. We even got to look for eggs today from the hens! We have already made plans to go to the library tomorrow (or as you would say, "next day") and you are very excited about that. You have started telling us jokes. You will say, "Mommy, I have something to tell you. It is a joke. Do you want to hear it?" Then you will tell it. My favorite so far is this one. "It is about a teapot. The teapot didn't have any tea! Isn't that funny?" I can't stop smiling because if you really think about it, that is funny! You are such a good listener too. You help me out in so many ways throughout the day and are a wonderful example for your little sister. Thanks for being YOU...YOU ARE PRICELESS! Can't wait to see your cute little dimple in the morning!
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

We made it to North Carolina!
So much has happened since I was last able to write! Hudson was such a big helper during the move. He was more the willing to help us load things on the truck (for the first load!) He got to go to Mimi and Papa's house and stay with Mimi during the "BIG" move! He is having a blast at the "small house" as he called it before we moved in. He was sad to leave his "rock house" but knows Ms. Joni will have fun in it. He talks about his friends often. I mentioned something to him along the line of, "We will have to visit your old friends." He responded with, "they aren't my old friends mommy, they are my good friends." He is such a sweetie. He has started saying, "Mommy, I have to tell you something....I love you!" He also uses the phrase of, "I have an idea!" He had so much fun spending the first week in the house with For Mor, Mimi and Papa. They got to go on their first fishing trip with the boys and Papa took him to a whole fishing day down at the park with other kids from the area. He has really warmed up to Jack the donkey and looks forward to feeding him carrots. He wakes up each morning and sits on the deck watching for the animals. He still has the same excitement as he did the first day he saw them. There is a little creek that runs beside the house that he likes to put his feet in and get drinks out of. He also had a hand in picking some cherries off the cherry tree out by our house and picking wild flowers out from in front of our house. He has so much fun talking to the animals when he is down there. Yon and I were looking at the garden and all you can here is Hudson telling the animals that he is sorry that he has to go back home now, but he will be back soon.
He had a blast having his cousin Gideon come and play with him. He showed him the playroom and also took him to the fun park at the bottom of the mountain. We often go to the pool that is here in town and Hudson LOVES it. He has even started jumping in on his own in the big pool with no floaties! Mimi got him a little thing that he can wear in the big pool and Hudson just thought it was the neatest thing in the world to be in the big pool all by himself! He just kept laughing and laughing.
I worked Mother's morning out at the church we have been visiting and Hudson had a great time playing with the other children there. I think he is looking forward to school starting so he can meet some new friends. He keeps looking at his class picture saying, "I miss my friends. They are all going back to MY school and I'm not." Sooo sad! He comes up with the ideas of how he will get back to visit his friends and then his friends also call him on his phone here and he has me talk to them! LOL!
He is playing with Harper more and they have lots of fun. He also has fun when she is napping so he and Mommy can play some fun games or do things that Harper can't quite do yet.
He has adjusted very well to the move, he still needs lots of hugs and kisses, but has really enjoyed playing on the porch all day long and being outside. We don't have TV here (yet), and Hudson hasn't once mentioned watching it. He is looking forward to his next fishing trip though and having more visitors come and see his "new" house!
Hudson is a BIG boy!
After watching all his friends use his bathroom at his birthday party, Hudson decided it was time for him to use it too! He finally just DECIDED to and has hardly had an accident. He wears big boy pants all day and then a pull-up at night. He has done such a great job. He just finished pre-school and his teachers said that he was so sweet and such a good boy. He loves all his friends and had such a great year with his teachers. He has been a big help around the house. He is so good with Harper and is able to follow directions very well. He helped us with our garage sell and was great about seeing many of his toys leave. He never once got upset. He is now helping us pack so we can get ready to move. He is excited about our new house on the farm and is ready to go fishing with Papa! He loves to sing in the car and around the house and also loves running SUPER FAST! He loves being chased and chasing others. He makes us laugh each day...and just talks and talks. He truly is a great kid! He is great at riding bikes and rides his "big boy bike!" He has also had so much fun spending time with Mimi and Papa recently since we are trying to get a lot of packing done.
Hudson Turns 3!!!
Hudson had a fantastic birthday! He went to school and was able to celebrate with his friends and then Daddy AND Mommy picked him up from school. We went home and opened all this present. He then had a special visitor!
For Mor came to visit and joined us for birthday cake. They had a lot of fun together looking for bugs in the backyard and enjoyed a birthday dinner at McDonalds and playing in the playland. He couldn't wait for his big birthday party! All his friends got to come to HIS house and play...including Gideon and Mimi and Papa! We had a big bouncy dinosaur along with lots of riding toys and other games to play with. He was so excited when all his friends started arriving and had the best day! He did a great job opening all his presents and kept cool later in the afternoon by running through the sprinkler with Gideon. He has also discovered the fun of going to the bathroom in the grass and off the deck...looks like our summer is going to be full of spending time with mother nature!
Before his birthday we went on our trip to Disney World! Hudson had a blast and was so great! He loved seeing all the characters from the shows and movies that he has seen and loved all the rides! He even got to see some of his cousins from Yon's side of the family! While we were in Epcot, we were at the part where it was just the countries and he looked at me and said, "I want to see Mickey...this is NOT Disney World!" LOL! I felt the same way. :-) He had a great time and would love to go there every day if we could. When we got back he was invited to go to the zoo with one of his friends from school, Ella. When we pulled up to the zoo he said, "This isn't Animal Kingdom!" He did have a great time looking at all the animals with Ella...they would get so excited going from animal to animal.
Hudson has grown up so much. The things he says make me laugh each day. He uses words like frustrated and dangerous. Harper was holding a dinner knife at the resteraunt and he started saying, "Harper, that is dangerous. Mommy, take that away...it is dangerous!" He is such a good big brother and is so calm with her. He doesn't like it when she gets in his things, but loves watching her walk and making her laugh. He continues to love to listen to stories and can't get enough of riding his bike and playing with his toys outside. He also enjoys coloring and playing games with us.
His teachers at school said that he is so sweet and they never have to say a word to him about anything...that he has great behavior and knows everything he is supposed to! He is such a good boy and my love continues to overflow for him. He just melts my heart when he says, "I love you so much!"
Hudson...Mr. Independent
2 years and 23 months old
Hudson loves to do things himself. He will get himself water with ice and loves to help get his food. He pull his pants on and off and is working on getting his shirt off by himself. He enjoys playing by himself, but welcomes Daddy, Mommy, Harper or anyone else who is around to join him. He loves to color and draw. He has recently really been in to drawing people. He draws a circle with legs, arms, and hair coming out of it. He draws two circles for the eyes, one for the nose, and then a line for the smile. It is very cute! He has also been "writing his name" by drawing marks on the paper. He loves looking at books and has started "reading" them as he turns the pages. He is such a good boy and is a great helper. He loves talking about his friends and is very excited about his birthday. He had lots of fun at Harper's birthday and was excited to tell everyone it was her birthday. When we would talk about it he would say, "Yay Harper...it's your birthday!" He is so sweet with Harper and encourages her just as we do. He also will giggle just to get her to laugh. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful son and there is not a day that goes by that we don't smile in amazement at all the things that he does.
Hudson's Special Week
2 years and 22 month old
Hudson had a great week! He got to spend the entire weekend at Mimi and Papa's house while Mommy and Daddy went on a trip to Helen. He had so much fun going on hikes, playing with the train set, going to McDonalds and playing in their playland, and just enjoying time with Mimi and Papa. He loves playing with play dough and making all sorts of fun things. Once he makes something he likes to "save" it. Needless to say, we are going through many tubs recently. LOL! He also loves to color with his crayons and carries all his finished products around in a collection. He knows all his colors, many of his shapes, and can count objects. Hudson also got to have a special afternoon with Mommy while Ms. Joni watched Harper. We went to the park, had ice cream, and then rented a new movie at Blockbuster. Hudson chose to watch Cinderalla since we will be going to see her castle at Disney World! He has also started taking things to bed with him. He often will go to bed with cars in his hand or some other small item. When Mimi told her that she loved him, he told her he loved HER and they kept going back and forth between each other. He is so loving and is also a big help...my loves overflows for him!
The Things I Can't Get Enough Of...
2 years and 22 month old
It has been amazing being able to watch my little man grow up, learn so much, and love so big. I just can't get enough of him and all the little things that he does. I love when he gives us "big hugs" and then gives us a kiss and says "I love you" for no reason at all. He gets excited at the little things in life...playing with bubbles, playing chase, renting a movie, listening to stories...and the list goes on. The other night he came over to Harper and said, "Parper, you are so cute." He is such a sweet big brother and loves to protect and care for Harper. He loves to play games and is great at taking turns, saying please and thank you, and cleaning up his games when he is finished. (So Harper doesn't get them!) Hudson knows most all his colors and some of his letter. His favorite color is red. He loves to color and enjoys drawing circles and ovals. He could color for hours. He loves to get outside any chance he gets. He likes riding his bike, hitting the ball off the tee, and raking the leaves with his Daddy. He is a great listener. Whenever we are out in public and we ask him to do something, he does it the first time...most all the time. He has a sweet tooth, but chooses healthy food for snacks and knows that sweets are treats. He has made so many great friends at pre-school. He mostly talks about 3 girls. He wants them to come to "his house." He has fun brushing his teeth and wants to be a tooth doctor. Hudson loves to dance and has started singing along to songs. He is so funny because he sounds so grown up with some of his phrases like, "oh sure," and "how ya doin mom?" He is such a pleasure and gives his love so freely to others. He wants other to be happy and is concerned when they are sad. He gets so excited at bringing things home from school and hanging it up in the kitchen. He truly is an amazing little man. I don't want to him to grow up, but I have to admit it is pretty fun being a part of it!
Hudson's Conference
We met with Hudson's pre-school teacher this week for his conference. They had wonderful things to say and many funny stories. They said that he plays with everyone in the class and enjoys all the different activities in the classroom. He seems to have found a girlfriend in the class as well. They have been holding hands and singing to each other in music. :-) He wants all his friends to come to his house and has even invited his teachers over. It was so much fun hearing someone else's take on your child when you aren't around. I can't beleive how fast he is growing up. He can play with his toys and entertain himself for long periods of time. I love to stand outside his room and listen to him having his toys talk to each other. I have even snuck the video camera in a couple of times. He is a great big brother and loves to make "Parper" laugh. He enjoys coloring, playing pretend, and of course playing outside. He is also eating more of a varity of food now that he has started eating lunch at school one day a week. He was so proud of his lunchbox and ate every single thing in the first day he took it. He loves doing things by himself, but also still loves to cuddle with us on the couch and in his bed when we read bedtime stories. He is really good at brushing his teeth and wants to be a "tooth doctor" when he grows up. It is so much fun listening to all his stories and the things he has to say. He is truly a blessing.
Chef Hudson
Hudson had a great Christmas and had so much fun with both sets of grandparents. He was so excited about Santa coming and had a great time making cookies and leaving carrots for the reindeer. He was also very excited about baby Jesus at the Christmas Eve service. He woke up Christmas morning and Santa had brought him so many great things...even a real train around the tree! He had a great Christmas and was so sad when we took the tree and decorations down. He is now looking forward to his birthday and wants all his friends to come over to his house and see his toys. He loves to cook...in his play kitchen and in our kitchen. He loves mixing and wearing his apron. He no longer takes a nap and crashes at the end of the day with all his playing. He is excited to go back to school after the break and gets to stay and eat lunch with his friends on Thursdays. We are really enjoying Hudson's manners. He constantly uses "please and thank you." He has had a lot of fun playing with his new games from Christmas and is learning more and more each day. He is a great big brother and loves to make Harper laugh. We are looking forward to 2009!
Hudson rides Santa sleigh!
Hudson was so excited to see Ella, Santa, and Santa's reindeer. However, when Santa got close, Hudson turned toward me and cried. He def. loves the idea of Santa, but doesn't want to get too close to him. He was very excited to sit in the sleigh and was in awe of the reindeer and wanted to "fly" when he got in the sleigh. The candy cane made his day and he loves eating them at home too. He is really enjoying school and has been talking about playing with his friends while he is there. He is excited about having a birthday party for baby Jesus at school with his friends. He looks out our window every night and asks when Santa is coming to HIS house. I told him that we will tell him and he asked me to call him. :-) He is so much fun and makes us laugh every day.
