3-17-2010: Colton is five months old today! He is growing like a weed and has a very healthy appetite. He is definately heavier than Tanner was! He loves his cereal and veggies. This weekend, we will start giving him some fruits. He also found his voice today. We sat quietly and watched Tanner during his last swim lesson before the new session starts, and Colton was happy and awake. After swim lessons, we went to our favorite chinese restaurant where Colt entertained the whole place. No matter what we did, we couldn't get him to stop "talking". In our ears, it was more like yelling/screaming, but to Colton, I know he was just talking away!
Tanner started tee ball a week ago. He has had two practices and really likes it. He is a lefty batter and a righty thrower. Where the heck did that come from? Grandad is left handed and so is Pop Pop. So I suppose he got a little of that from the two of them! We are going to continue him in swim lessons, but not with Cooper. Tee ball practice interferes with that, so we had to switch to a different day. Hopefully, we can go back to the same day after tee ball.
April is almost here! That means Easter is coming too!
2-26-2010: There isn't too much to report this week! Colton had his four month check-up this week. He weighs 14 pounds and is 26 inches long. He has been trying different cereals for the last couple weeks and he seems to only like rice cereal.
We got to go roller skating again this weekend too. I did much better than last time and I am getting the hang of it. I definately want to go again soon.
We did have a little excitement this week though. Uncle Jason called while he was at work and said that we were going to have an ambulance and a couple sheriffs coming down our driveway but not to worry. Apparently, there was a naked man on the railroad tracks behind our house and since our property backs up to the tracks, he figured they could get to him from our property. He was right! Dad and I went out and talked with Uncle Jason and got to see him in action! It was pretty neat. We felt bad for the man, but they think he had been using drugs. Dad took that opportunity to explain to me why drugs are very, VERY bad.
Other than that, we have all been doing well. I am really enjoying swim lessons with Cooper on Monday nights. This last Monday, my neighbor Lindsey was in our class too! I can't wait to be able to swim all by myself!
Happy March everyone!
2-17-2010: Today, Colton turned four months old! He got to try rice cereal for the first time and he really seemed to like it!
We had a great weekend at Winchester Bay for the long weekend. The weather turned out great and it was nice to go riding on the sand! Tanner is still riding his little 50 cc quad and doing a great job! He has advanced A LOT since going out on the sand for the first time when he was just three years old.
We didn't get to see the Daytona 500 though. The TV signal wasn't cooperating so we went riding instead. Good thing for the DVR and highlights!
This weekend is a breakfast playdate with our playgroup and a skate date at the roller rink. It should be another fun-filled weekend!
2-9-2010: We are all finally getting over being sick. That wasn't fun at all! We got together with the regular gang over at Lee and Joan's for the Super Bowl. We had a great time laughing, rooting for our teams and eating yummy food!
This week, I started swim lessons with Cooper and we are getting ready to go to the coast for the weekend to ride quads! Colton started using his jumperoo this week too. He really likes it!
Today I got to go with Daddy by myself while Colton went to work with Mommy. I enjoyed that a lot. Tomorrow, it is back to normal and the three of us will be hanging out again.
1-28-2010: WOW! This is my first entry for 2010! Where has the time gone? We have been doing a lot of fun things this month. It didn't start off very good with Mommy having to go back to work. Daddy and I have gotten back into the swing of things and Colton is doing great hanging out with us! We went to a bullriding event, monster trucks and Alvin and the Chipmunks. I have been to sleepovers at Coopers house and he has been to ours. No wonder I haven't had time to update our site.
I promise to be better in 2010! Besides, I will have a lot to tell you about. We have trips to the coast planned and I will be starting t-ball in a couple months!!
12-29-09: We had a wonderful Christmas! I hope everyone is as blessed as we are!
Chrstimas eve, Grandma, Auntie Kristin and Uncle Rob came over to our house for our traditional seafood chowder! It was so good! I got to open some gifts and went to bed fairly early so that Santa would come visit us. We put out cookies and milk and he ate and drank it all! Christmas morning, it was just the four of us and we had a great time opening gifts and eating a wonderful breakfast! I got an electric guitar from Santa and Colton got a toy too. Not only did I get to open all my presents, I got to open Colton's too. He is too small....so I had a lot of fun!
Daddy made us a wonderful breakfast. French toast, eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. It was so yummy! We played with my toys and learned how to take care of my guitar properly. Then we all got ready to head over to Auntie Heather's and Uncle Steve's for our gift exchange. We had a wonderful dinner and there was lots of laughter and cheer with our usual gang of family and friends.
Now it is time to get ready for our New Year's get-together at our house.
Happy New Year everyone!
12-23-09: Christmas is in two days! I am so excited! Mommy keeps putting me in my shirt that says, "Santa, I can explain". I am not sure why though cause I have been a good boy all year.
We have had a busy month with playdates and Christmas shopping. I have really enjoyed having Mommy home for the last nine weeks. After Christmas, she will only have two more weeks before she has to go back to work. Colton and I will miss her but I know we will have fun with Daddy.
Colton is sleeping in his crib in our room now and has been for almost two weeks. He doesn't cry much, but even when he does, I usually don't even hear him. It is a lot of fun having a little brother. I am very protective and proud of him too. He had his two month check-up today and he weighs 11 pounds.
We went and looked at Christmas lights this weekend. I didn't make if far before I fell asleep, but I woke up to enjoy part of them. After we ate dinner, Cooper came to my house for our first sleepover at my house! We had so much fun! I started out sleeping on the bottom bunk with Cooper, but after about a half hour, Daddy moved me back up to the top bunk. Apparently I am a bed hog and Cooper didn't have any room! The next morning Daddy played the Lone Ranger song from the movie for Cooper and I while we rode our "horses". I can't wait to do that again soon!
We are starting off our holiday with Seafood chowder on Christmas Eve with Auntie Kristin and Uncle Rob. Grandma will be there too and maybe even Uncle Jason and Amanda. On Christmas morning, it will just be Mommy, Daddy, Colton and I for breakfast and presents and then we are going to Uncle Steve and Auntie Heather's for our big get-together with all our family and friends! I can't wait!
I hope you all get what you ask for this year. Merry Christmas and God Bless!
12-3-09: Colton is already 6, almost 7 weeks old! Boy does time go by fast. I really enjoy being a big brother. Mommy and Daddy laugh at me all the time because when Colton is crying, I come running to help out however I can. Usually it is just putting his binkie in his mouth, but I enjoy helping out a lot!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Gammy and Pop Pop came down and we went over to Auntie Kristin's for dinner. Daddy and Uncle Jason showed Pop Pop around the valley so he could look at some houses for sale. Could it be true? Will we finally get Pop Pop and Gammy to move to the Rogue Valley? We will just keep praying!
Mommy has been enjoying her time off and staying home with Colton and I. She goes back to work in January so we will enjoy it while it lasts!
Daddy is getting ready to head to Unity to go coyote hunting with Grandad. Grandad is flying into Boise from Nebraska and then driving up to meet Daddy and Pop Pop. I can't wait until I am old enough to go with him!
Hopefully December won't fly by like November did!
