September 6, 2009
Sorry it has been so long since I have updated the site. Where did the summer go??? There was so much I wanted to do with the trio and I feel like I didn't do as much as I wanted to do :-( We were hoping to do more trips to the zoo since we are memebers but have only gotten there once. Hopefully this fall we will be able to do that. :-)
The one thing that we did do and had to wait almost all summer to do was go to the shore. This year we took our first trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. We went with Kevin's brother, Chris, sister-in-law, Sarah, and their kids Gabe and Aiden. We stopped at their house in VA on the way down and stayed a night to cut the drive up so it wasn't too long. From there we had a 3+ hour drive to NC. What a GREAT time we all had!!! The shore was beautiful.....we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves most of the time. The waether was beautiful and the water was so warm the first 4 days that even I went into the water (which NEVER happens). Emmersyn is a beach bug....she loves the sand and especially the water. Cadin was a bit hesitant of the water but would go up to about his knees. Gavin however wanted nothing to do with the water. We do have one picture of him with his feet in the water (which I don't even remember) and other than that he was sand bound. Cadin and Gavin we called our 2 old men. Sitting under the umbrella in their chairs with their hats on.....it was too cute!!! The kids did have a blast though, especially playing with their cousins for a whole week!!! We can't wait to do it again next year!!!
What else is new.......Emmersyn is fully potty trained!!! She even wears underwear to bed at night. Cadin just about has it down but needs to be reminded frequently. We are down to about 1 accident a day with him (not too bad). Gavin however is quite a challange. He tells us he wants to be a baby and wear a diaper. This next week and a half will be dedicated to getting him potty trained........especially since on Sept 15th they start PRESCHOOL!!! I can't believe my babies are old enough to go to school!!! It is only twice a week (T, TH) for about 2 1/2 hours but just enough to start giving mommy and daddy a little break during the week. These past months have been quite challanging as they are coming into their own person. I have been trying to keep them as busy and active as possoble with scheduling lots of play dates with our friends. :-) I am hoping that they will do well in school and learn how to take direction from some one other than mommy or daddy. I will keep you posted......
Well that is about all I can think of for now. Again, sorry I have been slacking. Don't forget to check out our newest pictures.....from the beach!!! :-)
So sorry that I have been slacking....we have had a busy past couple months!!! Our babies are now 3!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAVIN, EMME and CADIN!!! We had a birthday party with all of our friends and family on their actual birthday....what a beautiful day it was. They had so much fun playing with everyone.....thank you all!!! We still can't believe that 3 years have gone by. They continue to learn and say the most interesting things every day. They are really starting to show their personalities and will not shut-up.....they LOVE to talk!!! The 3's, as everyone has told me in the past, are already MUCH harder than the 2's........we are hoping this will change VERY quickly though. For the most part we have just been trying to keep them very busy and occupied. We have had a lot of play dates with our friends and just this past week went to the Philadelphia Zoo with a lot of our triplet friends. The trio's favorite thing to do anymore is to go out to eat at a restaurant. We have been to many lately and for the most part they behave GREAT!!! It is nice to be able to take them out to do this since the past 3 years we have hardly seen the inside of a restaurant. Also this past month we have also put our house back on the market with the hopes of being able to sell our house and move into Middletown township, where Kevin works, to make our life easier. So far no luck, but hopefully something/someone will come along and make this happen for us. We are keeping our fingers crossed and will let you know if anything happens. I am posting a lot of pictures since it has been a couple months, a long with their professional 3 year old pictures we had taken. By far, these are my favorite so please take some time to look at them. Hope this finds everyone well......again, sorry this is so late.........take care.
Our last month as 2 year olds!!! We can't believe in exactly one month from today our babies will be THREE!!! Sorry we missed last month, it has been a bit hectic here. From mommy and daddy's trip to Vegas to now getting ready for our 3rd birthday party and all the sickness in between...........CRAZY!!! So mommy and daddy had a GREAT trip in Vegas and we had a GREAT time with mom-mom, pop-pop, "monga" and "heapa". We took lots of walks in the neighborhood and played lots of games. We got to make cookies too.....boy were we messy!!! One of the best things was that "Heapa" made us toy boxes!!! Boy are they beautiful!!! (Mommy took pictures of them and posted them on here so make sure you check them out!!!) Overall it was a great week for everyone!!! The week after mommy and daddy got home however we all got sick!!! (our 1st sickness except for our little colds) All 5 of us had that horrible stomach bug for the whole week-YUCK!!! We are all feeling better for the most part now except for some runny noses and mommy with bronchitis. :-( This past month has also been filled with LOTS of birthday parties that we have attended. We love going to these and the best part, especially for Gavin, is the CAKE!!! YUMMY!!! We are looking forward to our birthday party next month......and the cake!!! :-) I guess one of the newest things we forgot to mention is that we all don't sleep in the same room anymore. Gavin and Cadin share a "Thomas the Train" room and Emme has her own "Princess" room. We are also in toddler beds!!! Emme adapted to her own room much better than we thought and has been an angel. The boys on the other hand however have been quite destructive!!! Needless to say mommy needs to replace some blinds and everything has been locked in our closets with a key!!! Never a dull moment in this house!!! Well, that is about it for now............until next month.........when we will be THREE!!! xoxoxo
Happy New Year everyone!!! Hope this finds everyone well and that everyone had a merry Christmas and happy new year!!! Not too much to report here. The dreaded day has finally come here..........the kids have discovered how to climb out of their cribs. It started one night with Cadin getting out and then Gavin. The very next morning I was home with the kids and all 3 climbed out came out of their room where the greeted me in the kitchen. Needless to say naptime, bedtime and in the morning are quite interesting anymore.....we never know what to expect!!! Within the next 2 months we are planning to put Emme in her own room and in the transition put all 3 into toddler beds. Should be interesting then!!! Not much else is new.......continuing a lot of playdates and also meeting some new friends. :-) Next month Mommy and Daddy are planning a vacation for Mommy's 30th birthday to Las Vegas!!! They will be gone for 5 nights and 6 days!!! During that time Mom-mom and Pop-pop and Monga (Grandma) and Heapa (Grandpa) will split the week and watch us. We are looking forward to spending time with them and Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to having a little break too!!! :-) That is about it........until next time (which will either be early or late next month due to our vacation). Take Care.
December 27, 2008 Merry Christmas!!! Sorry for being late this month, but as you can imagine we have been quite busy here. I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already. What a blast the kids had!!! Lots of presents....toys and clothes. They had a lot of fun opening their presents....especially the boys. (Please click on pictures....I posted tons!!!) Their big presents included Kota the dinosaur and 3 sets of Big Wheel Jeeps from Mommy, Daddy, Mom-mom and Pop-pop. They were so excited they even took them out to ride them that morning!!! We spent the day at home (in our Christmas PJ's) playing with all the toys and then had our family over for dinner. Dinner was delicious...especially the Turkey!!! Everyone had fun and left very full!!! New Years Eve we will be spending with the Eckenrode Family. Everyone will be gathering at our house again and we will be celebrating Christmas and New Years since we weren't able to see them on Christmas. We are looking forward to more delicious food and seeing and spending time with everyone!!! :-) We can't believe how another year is coming to an end. In just 4 months our babies will be 3 years old!!! We can't believe how far they have come. From being born 2 months premature and spending a month in the NICU, to growing so big and healthy as they are today!!! They are talking so much and having full conversations with one another..sometimes in their own "triplet language". It is so nice to see how they are interacting and playing with one another these days, it is just amazing!!! We wish everyone a Very Happy and Healthy New Year!!! Til next year.............Take Care.
November 20, 2008 Running a bit behind this month on their site....sorry for all those who checked earlier. Anyway, not much new here. I posted the Halloween pictures earlier in the month....what a great time the kids had. Gavin caught on real quick on how to get the candy and then started to run house to house....it was too cute!!! We had "Monga, Heapa and Great Monga" (Grandma, Grandpa and Great-Grandma) visit us this past weekend. They brought the kids each a little tikes car, which they absolutely love and can't get them out of-Thank you again. We had a nice visit and got to celebrate "Monga's" birthday!!! Yeasterday we went to Sears and got our Christmas portraits done....what an experiece that was!!! Let's just say they were quite uncooperative and couldn't get Cadin to smile for anything!!! Overall I was quite surprised with the turn out of the pictures. We will post them all next month. Other than that we are just doing some things around the house and continuing with our playdates as much as possible. The trio is continuing to learn something new and surprises us daily. They are all able to count to 10 now. :-) The other day Kevin (daddy) said "Gavin Michael" at Gavin, of course, and Gavin's reply was "Daddy Michael"!!! It was too funny!!! All 3 have also learned their last name with our name being of course "Daddy and Mommy Eckenrode"....again, too funny!!! Well Thanksgiving is approaching quickly this upcoming week. We will be celebrating at our Aunt Ruth and Uncle Rowland's house. We are looking forward to some yummy food and to celebrate all we have to be thankful for-A LOT!!! We wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!
October 18, 2008 We are 2 1/2 years old today!!! There is not much to report this month....Mommy had a rough month (got diagnosed with Lyme's Disease and had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled) so we just played a lot at home and had a few playdates here and there. We are getting excited though about Halloween this month. Mommy bought us our costumes (you will have to wait and see) and we can't wait to go trick-or-treating. Our Uncle Keith and Aunt Becky are coming down for the weekend to go trick-or-treating with us...it's going to be a fun-filled weekend, we always have so much fun with them!!! Other than that it is Emme's weekend with Mom-mom and Pop-pop. Today Emme is going over their house to spend the night while the boys stay with Mommy and Daddy. Emme is looking forward to spend the night and I think the boys are looking forward to get some alone time with Mommy and Daddy. :-) We are planning on taking the boys out to lunch at a one of the local restuarants and then perhaps some shopping. Mommy and Daddy don't know what to do when there are only 2 of us....its amazing how much easier things are!!! :-) We went and got our flu shot last week at our pediatricians office and got to see our favorite doctor. We were all so good with the needle and didn't even cry. :-) Cadin also had a weight check...he was 26.4 oz. He only gained 4 oz in the past 6 months, but we are going to continue to watch his weight and have him re-checked at his 3 year visit (wow-3 years old!!!). Well, we guess that is about it...pretty short this month. Make sure you check out our pictures from this past month and mommy will be sure to post our Halloween pictures at the end of this month. Hope this finds everyone well. Take Care. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
September 18, 2008 - This past month was a busy one for us!!! We had our annual cousins weekend the weekend of Labor Day. This is a weekend that all of our Drazek family cousins get together and have lots of fun and sometimes plan some trips. With having young kids though we have kept it simple. We hung out at our house the one night and then the next day went to a local park and let the kids run around and have fun. The weekend then ended by going to mom-mom and pop-pop's house for their annual Labor Day picnic. Everyone ran around some more and we all ate a lot of good food!!! It was a great cousins weekend, as usual, and all had a blast!!! Then Tuesday that week was our trip to Sea Isle City, NJ, for the triplets 1 st time to the beach!!! They loved the sand and played in it all day, however the water was a different story. Emme was the bravest and went in the most and the furthest. The boys however weren't as daring. They loved chasing the birds on the beach and looking for shells. All in all it was a GREAT first time to the beach and we are already looking forward to next summer to do it again. Thank you again Aunt Cheryl for having us, we had a GREAT time!!! Other than that we have just continued with lots of play dates and trips to the local parks. Emme also got her 2 nd haircut, by Linda again (thank you) and was such a big girl. Now her hair looks really curly!!! We have continued with our daily walks in the neighborhood where Gavin continues to tell us every color car that we pass. I can now say that he knows ALL of his primary colors and even some others. All 3 are talking so much more, day by day. It is absolutely amazing how much they pick up, remember and retain!!! We think we have 3 smarty's!!! J This upcoming month we don't have too much planned. We do have a date to go the zoo with mommy's friend from college next week, and some play dates here and there. Mommy is going to have to start getting creative with the weather starting to change and having to be indoors more. Hopefully we can be out and about for another month or so. Until next time........take care.
August 18, 2006
The other fun thing that we did this past month was that Mom-mom and Pop-pop are starting to take one kid for a weekend, overnight. It gives that one kid alone and individual time and it gives the other 2 kids more one-on-one time with mommy and daddy. This past month it was Gavin who got to spend the night/weekend with mom-mom and pop-pop and he had a blast!!! They took him to the park and for ice cream. He also got to feed the fishes in mom-mom and pop-pop's back yard their fish food and the bunnies "orange" carrots, he told us. He also fed the birds too. All had a great time!!! Emme is excited for her turn next. While Gavin was with Mom-mom and Pop-pop, Mommy and Daddy took Cadin and Emme out to eat in a restaurant for the first time ever. We decided to go to "Cheesburger in Paradise". It was such a beautiful day that we sat out on their patio and ate. Emme and Cadin did so good....they colored and ate very well!!! It was very surprising to Kevin and I what a difference one less child makes. It was a nice change of pace for us and nice to spend more quality time one-on-one with the 2 of them (2 kids-2 adults). Yeasterday we went to the Grange Fair near our house. We went with Mom-mom and Pop-pop, while Daddy was sleeping because he worked all weekend, night shift. We got to see cows, sheep, goats, bunnies, chickens, ducks and even some interesting animals like a fox, alligators and even a boa constrictor!!! We also visited the sheriff's tent and got finger printed and got our own cute little identity cards. Right before we left we ran into Aunt Ruth and Uncle Rowland....it was very nice to see them!!! We then went home and had some pizza a french fries at Mom-mom and Pop-pop's house and then went out back to feed the fish. Gavin was also on the hunt for frogs and actually got to touch 6+ frogs before they jumped back into the pond. It was a very nice day for all of us!!! This upcoming week we will be heading up north to see Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the Wisnosky crew. We are looking forward to seeing everyone as it has been awhile since we have been up there. We are also looking forward to hanging out by the pool at Grandma and Grandpa's house and letting the kids run around in their BIG yard. Also this upcoming month we will be taking the kids to Sea Isle City, for their frist beach trip ever!!! (the reason for our website theme) We are looking forward to playing in the sand and watching the kids play. Hopefully this will be a good experience for all!!! As you can see we have been pretty busy. On top of all of this the kids are just learning and growing each day!!! They are all talking A LOT more each day and getting to know their colors and numbers (especially Gavin with his colors). Whenever we go on a walk in our neighborhood they point out all of the cars and what color they are. For the most part they do very well. They are mostly obsessed though with mommy and daddy's red car and daddy's police car. That is all they talk about for the majority of the day, especially Gavin!!! Emme is very big on singing songs. "Head, shoulders, knee's and toes" and "Ring around the Rosie" are her favorite. They have all learned to hold each others hands and go around in a circle now...it's so cute!!! (I will try to post the video of it on here, if I can figure it out-LOL!!!) Well that is all and quite a bit for now. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Until next month...take care. :-)
July 18, 2008 (27 months old) Wow!!! Another month has come and gone....boy,we have been so busy!!! We had a group triplet playdate with all of our triplet friends at the Tree house Cafe in Chestnut Hill...the kids loved it!!! We have also had several individual playdates with our triplet friends and all of our other friends and neighbors. They love getting together with their friends and all in all they play very well together. :-) We also had a friendly visit from our favorite physical therapist Deb. We haven't seen her since January.....we missed her very much and it was so nice to see her and play. Thanks again!!! :-) The fourth of July was a blast too!!! The triplets went to the Lower Southampton parade for the 2nd time and had a blast...despite it running into their nap time. The fire engines were a little loud for them but no one cried. Afterwards we had our annual family party back at our house and the kids had fun playing with everyone and getting wet by Daddy. :-) We have also started to take the kids to one of or local playgrounds almost everynight after dinner (when Daddy is home, that is), they LOVE it!!! Emme and Cadin are all about the swings!!! Gavin on the other hand LOVES the slides!!! There is this one tall and steep slide that looks scary to mommy but they love it!!! Gavin is also starting to hang from the monkey bars. This stage is getting to be so much fun with them, (except for the temper tantrums and the every other word being "NO") , and we are finding a lot of more things to keep them occupied. One of our most favorite things that we did this past month was just this week. On Wednesday we went to our friends farm (the reason for our website background). They have a lot of horses and sheep on their farm. This was the first time the kids saw both animals up close. Well atleast the horses we saw up-close, the sheep wanted to stay in shade since it was so hot, so they wouldn't come over to see us. The horses however were very friendly. Emme went right up to the one horse and touched his face....it was so cute, and a bit scary since we didn't expect her to do that. Both did well though. :-) All 3 got to sit on their one tractor and Cadin even sat on their quad while we couldn't get Gavin off of their tractor (he is obsessed with cars and anything that drives-LOL!!!). It was a GREAT day and we look forward to seeing them again soon. :-) This upcoming month we are planning to go to the Philadelphia Zoo again a couple times and continue with a lot of our playdates. We are even trying to convince Daddy to take us to Sesame Place.....we will let you know how that one works out. Until then....hope eveyone is enjoying the beautiful weather this summer!!! :-) Take Care.
P.S.- Don't forget to check out all of the pictures (pages 1-4 are all new)....Mommy tends to go a bit crazy and takes TONS of pictures (even though you only see probably 1/20 of them all-LOL)!!!
June 18, 2008 26 months old!!! The terrible 2's have hit!!! We have 3 toddlers all with their own personalities and boy do they like to shown them!!! Gavin is the sensitive one and cries whenever anything doesn't go his way.....and boy does he cry!!! Emme is the very opininated one, of course, the girl. She tells us what she is going to wear in the morning and will not put it on without her approval (boy are we in trouble). Cadin is the most independant one. He is pretty quiet, but very sneaky!!! He is always off somewhere getting into something that he shouldn't be. When we can't find him we call his name and follow the laugh. It's too funny!!! These past months have been flying!!! As I said the kids are very vocal and let you know what they want to do and have to be constantly entertained!!! Every morning they get up they ask for the same things......"shoes", "car"!!! They love going in the car where ever it may be. We have had some playdates with our triplets friends a lot lately and some of our other friends too. Anything to keep them busy, and for mommy to have some adult conversation too-LOL!!! Along with being vocal their vocabulary is expanding everyday!!! They are all pretty equal with how much they talk and are now starting to form small sentences. They also love to sing songs. Emme loves to sing her ABC's, "If you are happy and you know it" and counting to 6. Gavin loves singing "Ring around the rosie" and asking for the dogs, "April" and "Kailie". Cadin loves to say hello to cars and wave to them as they drive by. He is also starting to learn his colors by the color of the car or truck. He also loves to make animal noises....his newest being a wolf. It amazes us everyday how much they learn!!! Just yeasterday on our walk Emme said. "Look at the flower!" Kevin said, "I didn't even know he knew that word!" It is absolutely amazing!!! This past weekend we went to our cousins house for a Father's Day celebration. The kids had a blast playing and running around with all of their cousins and mommy and daddy enjoyed the extra help. Other than that nothing much else is new. We still have our house for sale and have been having a lot of showings lately, but that is it. We are in no rush though since there are no houses out there right now that we really like. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this beautiful summer weather!!! Until next month.....take care. Happy 4th of July!!! :-) P.S.- Don't forget to check out all of the pictures...I posted over 2 pages worth!!! :-)
June 01, 2008 So today we took the triplets to the Philadelphia Zoo for the first time!!! We met up with 7 other sets of triplets!!! Unfortunately we got split up from pretty much all of them but did manage to stay with one set of our friends. Everyone was so good and enjoyed watching all of the animals. We ended up getting a year membership so we will definately be back a lot more to see everything that we missed. Check out all of the pictures...they loved it!!! The only other thing to report is we made Emme her own "big-girl" room. She is not in it yet, she is still with the boys, but my goal is by the end of the summer to have her in there with her big girl furniture....we shall see. For now though all 3 of them enjoy playing in there and jumping on her bed. I also took some pictures of this for you all to see. Hope everyone is enjoying this nice weather we have been having......until next time. :-)
May 20, 2008 I can't believe how fast the time is flying.....they are already 25 months....where did that last month go??? This past month we have been quite busy. The triplets had a wonderful birthday and birthday party. The weather was great and everyone seemed to have a fun time. Two days after their party Kevin and I left for Disney without the kids!!! We had a wonderful time and got to visit all four parks. (we are already planning on when to take the kids down-lol!!!) Of course we were calling home a couple times a day to check in on the kids and they were doing great and having lots of fun with Grandma, Grandpa and Mom-mom and pop-pop....maybe a little too much fun-lol!!! (thank you again for watching them) Since we have gotten back they have been very difficult!!! I thought they were in the "terrible 2's" before we left, but nothing like they have been since we have gotten home. Kevin was out of work due to an injury this past month which really helped since they have been so difficult, but he is now back to work as of yeasterday.....wish me luck!!! Other than that we have been busy with a lot of different "day trips" to try to keep the kids entertained. The kids have been shopping a lot with us and also some playdates here and there. We also went down to Virginia for the weekend to visit Uncle Chris and Aunt Sarah and their cousins Gabe and Aiden. The first night down there was a difficult one to say the least but the next two days they were great and had a great time playing with their cousins. The car drive was a bit difficult but we bought them DVD's to keep them entertained....which helped.....a bit. For the most part we have just been trying to do new things with them to keep them busy and they seem to love it!!! We have a date planned to go to the Philadelphia Zoo this upcoming month with 8 other sets of triplets....that should be interesting!!! We also have tickets to the Please touch museum that they got for their birthday (thank you) that we want to take them to soon. We are also trying to plan a day or weekend trip to the Baltimore Aquarium.....all should be fun....and interesting!!! That's about all for now....hope this finds everyone well, til next time. :-)
P.S.- I added a page and a half of pictures, please check them out. :-)
April 18, 2008 HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAVIN, EMMERSYN AND CADIN!!! We can't believe you all are 2!!! Time is flying!!! We wish the best for you all and love watching you grow right before our very eyes. You all are very special blessings from God and we thank God everyday for the 3 of you!!! We are so proud of you and the little people you are becoming. We love you!!! HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!!! Love, Mom and Dad xoxoxo
April 11, 2008 So in one week from today our babies, now toddlers, will be 2!!! (We had their pictures taken a couple weeks ago and I posted them above. I think these are the best pictures yet!!!) We can not believe how fast this time has gone, and how far they have come. They now look like little people with each of them having their own unique personality. Everyday they surprise us with how much they do and learn, they are incredible to watch. There has not been a lot to report since last time. Last week we went up north because Kevin's grandfather (Great-Grandpa Wisnosky) passed away. It was a sad occasion but it was also very nice to see everyone and for the kids to play with all of their cousins. (We will miss you Gramps.) We also got to take some pictures as a family (I posted them if you would like to check them out). Other than that the kids have officially started their "terrible two's" x3!!! It has not been very fun lately around the house as there is always some crying or fight with their sibling. Fun times!!! We are all getting ready for a busy week next week. I think this will be the busiest month of the year for us!!! Thursday the 17th is daddy's (Kevin's) 30th Birthday!!! Daddy is getting old!!! LOL!!! Friday the 18th our babies will be 2!!! Saturday the 19th is the triplets birthday party. Sunday the 20th will be our 6th year Anniversary!!! And then the best day.....Monday the 21st mommy and daddy are going on vacation to Disney World with NO kids!!! 4 nights and 5 days!!! We are very thankful to both set of parents as they have taken on the challenge in watching the kids for 2 1/2 days each. THANK YOU!!! I'm sure we will be calling home constantly to check on them, but we are both anxious to have some time away with each other!!! It will be 6 years to the date of our last vacation....our honeymoon...I think we are way overdue!!! Well, I guess that is all.....we hope all is well with everyone and we will talk to you all next month after things settle down, and hopefully we have a nice tan-LOL!!! Take Care.
Happy Birthday Pop-O.....I miss you and love you!!! xoxoxo
March 17, 2008 Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! This past week has been a challanging one for us. The terrible 2's have kicked in full force and it has not been fun!!! All 3 are getting into everything that they shouldn't be in, not listening, and also undressing themselves, even their diaper. Daddy had an interesting day last week while mommy was at work and found the boys naked and peeing on the floor and then playing in it. As you can imagine daddy was not happy and called me at work to tell me what "MY children" did. LOL!!! On top of that we are starting to potty train. All 3 have been telling us "poo-poo" after they go, or even sometimes before they go so we decided it was time, let alone them taking their diapers off. It has been about a week and they love to sit on their potty's but there has been no success as of now. Check out the pictures I posted of the potty training experience. This past weekend we also went to visit the Easter Bunny at Feeney's nursery. Gavin and Emme did not know what to think of him but did well around him. Cadin on the other hand as soon as he saw him started to cry and didn't want to be near him...hence mommy had to sit with them for their pictures to be taken. Today we went to take them for their 2 year old professional pictures. Tomorrow will be exactly one month until they are two.....I can't believe it!!! We had quite a long wait to get our pictures taken, even though we had an appointment, so I wasn't sure how well they would be for their pictures. It was difficult as I thought, but surprisingly they came out really well!!! I will post them closer to their birthday and keep you all in suspense-LOL!!! That is about all news I have for you all with the kids. Still nothing with our house as far as offers but the house that we liked has been sold and there is nothing out there right now that we like so we are in no rush. Hope this finds everyone well and we wish you all a very HAPPY EASTER!!!
February 25, 2008 Things have been quite crazy around here lately......Good news....Emme and Cadin passed their hearing screen finally!!! Looks like there was fluid interfering so it was a good thing we had the tubes put in. Gavin however showed fluid in both ears this time so he has to go back in 2 months to be retested and if there is no change then he will have to have bilateral tubes put in too. Our whole family has been sick...all 5!!! Not a fun week in our house that week. We are all starting to get over it after Mommy and Gavin though had to go see the doctor and get put on some antibiotics. Hopefully by the end of this week we will all be 100%. The other big news is that we put our house up for sale. We found a house that we really liked and decided to put in an offer. However they did not want to accept our offer being contingent on us selling our house. Our hope is to sell our house fairly quickly so we can buy this other house. Anyone know anyone who wants to buy a house??? LOL!!! It's hard for me to think though of having to pack up this whole house while watching the kids...it's going to be interesting, that's for sure!!! We will keep you updated on how this goes. This past weekend we went up to visit Grandma and Grandpa Eckenrode and Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa and the rest of our family. We had to visit Great-Grandpa in the hospital though....we pray for a speedy recovery!!! As always we had a great time up there and had quite a house full as Keith and Carrie also came up to visit with their significant others. It was nice to be all together though and the kids had a blast!!! I think that has summed up for the most part the past month. The triplets turned 22 months last week...the count down to 2 is getting closer!!! It's hard to believe!!! Hope this finds everyone well...until next time....Take Care.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!
P.S.- I just got off the phone with my best friend, Danielle, for those who know her. She is 35 weeks and 5 days pregnant with twins. They admitted her early today for an increase in her BP and things have not changed...she is going to have her C-section in a half an hour (9pm). Happy Birthday little Vincenzo and Liliana!!! The triplets can't wait to meet you!!!
January 31, 2008 Cadin and Emme had their surgery yeasterday. They both had bilateral tubes put in their ears and Cadin also had a frenulectomy (part of his tongue was connected to the bottom of his mouth so he couldn't stick his tongue out completely). They both did very well....a bit cranky and tierd the rest of the day, but that is to be expected. Today they woke up like nothing even happened to them yeasterday-thank God. While mommy and daddy were with Emme and Cadin at the hospital Gavin got to spend a fun-filled day with Grandma Eckenrode-thank you!!! They both had a great time.....Gavin was like a new boy all by himself. Even when we got home with Emme and Cadin he was acting so different....we have never heard him talk SO MUCH!!! He was too funny!!! Emme and Cadin have a follow-up appt. with the doctor on February 14, Valentine's Day, to see if their hearing has improved.....let's hope this helped!!! We will keep you updated. The day before their surgery I took them to a facilty called Bouncing off the walls. It's like a indoor playground with bouncers and climbers, houses, toys, etc.. We meet their friends Colton, Kayla, Luke, Ava and Mack there. They all had so much fun there....we definately plan on going back!!! Other than that there is not much new going on here that I can think of right now....make sure you check out the pictures....there are a lot of new ones. Hope this finds everyone well. Take Care. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM/Mom-Mom!!! We love you!!!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
December 31, 2007 Well this is the last day of the year....where did that year go??? Our kids are growing up before our eyes. We can't belive in 4 months they will be 2!!! It has been quite an interesting year with ups and downs but we cherish all of it. Our children are everything!!! We have been blessed and have a lot to be thankful for this past year. We would like to thank all of our family and friends who have been there for us this past year and since the triplets have been born. We are very blessed to have you in our lives....thank you!!! A week ago the triplets celebrated their 2nd Christmas and had a blast!!! We had our families here to celebrate it with us and everything worked out great!!! The kids got so much we have no clue what to do with it all. They got a lot of Elmo stuff and a lot of cars and trucks. They also got their first kitchen and tool bench. They also got these cute little chairs that they love to sit in (look at the pictures). Thank you everyone for all of the great gifts!!! After Christmas Kevin and I decided we would go car shopping to see if we could get something more practical for us and the kids to get around in. (we were using Kevin's Chevy Avalanche truck as our family car) So after a lot of research we ended up buying a 2008 Toyota Sienna. We are loving it!!! I had the kids out today to go visit Mom-mom and pop-pop for the first time in the minvan and it was so much easier and the kids loved it!!! I am so happy we finally took the leap and bought a minivan, even though we were so dead set against it in the begining to not become the next "minivan parents". I am now proud to be a minivan mom!!! LOL!!! The only other bit of news is that we got the date for Emme's and Cadin's surgery for their tubes. They will be going to St. Christopher's Hospital on January 30th to get their tubes put in. We hope this is a smooth process and that all goes well....we will let you know how it works out. So, as this year comes to an end we want to thank everyone again for all of their help and support. We love you all!!! Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!!! HAPPY 2008!!!
December 21, 2007 The triplets turned 20 months this week....time is flying!!! We have had quite a busy week this week too. It started off while mommy was at work on Sunday and daddy was home, Emme found mommy's Synthroid medication and decided to play with it. Somehow the lid came off and the medication went everywhere!!! Daddy wasn't sure if she ate any of the pills so we had to make our first, and hopefully last, call to poison controll. They said as long as she didn't eat anymore than 27 pills that she would be ok. We definately knew she didn't get that many, so thankfully all was well with that one. That was not a fun phone call to get while working. :-( Monday, mommy's college roomate came to visit her before moving to Alaska on Christmas. We had a lot of fun with her and wish her all the best in Alaska!!! Tuesday we had a playdate with their cousin Jackson and their new friends, Zack, Shane and Ella. We all had a great time playing with one another and hope to get together again soon!!! Wednesday mommy worked so we got to spend the whole day with daddy and we had so much fun!!! Thursday, Gavin had his PT with his favorite therapist and we found out that Gavin no longer requires physical therapy. We know this is great that he is graduating and not needing services, but at the same time we will miss seeing Deb after seeing her for a whole year!!! January 10th will be his last time with Miss Deb. We will miss you Deb, but thank you for everything you have done for Gavin....Emme and Cadin too!!! Later that day we got a visit from Aunt Danielle who is 25 weeks pregnant with twins and looks fabulous!!! We then had a doctors appt with the ENT doctor because all 3 have not passed their hearing screens. We have been going back and forth for screens since March and there has not been any improvement. He came to the conclusion that Emme and Cadin need tubes in both ears, which we will schedule for the new year. We are just going to keep a close eye on Gavin for now because he does pass in his one ear but not the other. He explained that as long as he has one good ear that is good enough for language development right now...we will see what happens. Finally at night time on Thursday we had mom-mom and pop-pop over for dinner and ice cream cake to celebrate mommy's birthday, which is today. We all had a great time and then went to Feeney's Nursery to see Santa Claus for the first time!!! As you can imagine it didn't go over real well. Surprisingly, Cadin was the first one to cry. We posted some of the pictures so you can take a look. As you can see we have had quite a busy week and even today we had a playdate with our friend Colton and had a great time as usual!!! This weekend though, will be much calmer as mommy will be baking cookies and cleaning the house to get ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas for everyone to come over. We are all looking forward to Christmas this year and spending time with our family. We will be sure to post some pictures after the holidays. We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2008!!!
