November 26, 2007 So Thanksgiving has come and gone....where is the time going??? We had a very nice Thanksgiving at our Aunt Ruth's house. The food was great and the kids behaved themselves very well for missing their afternoon nap. We only had a little melt down from Cadin, right at dinner time, of course, but he was better after he got some fresh air. We think that he might have been a little too hot from the people, oven, and let a lone it was high 60's on Thanksgiving. Now we are just getting ready for Christmas. The house is decorated inside and out and the Christmas cards have been sent out. Now all we have to do is the shopping!!! December 15th will be our big day out while my parents come over and watch the kids for us. We are all looking forward to Christmas this year as the kids are getting older and will be able to open their gifts this year and hopefully understand a little more. Also we are having Christmas at our house this year for the first time. I'm looking forward to cooking and having my mom's side of the family and Kevin's family both here for dinner. It will be crazy, but a lot of fun!!! As far as the kids progress....they learn something new everyday!!! Their newest words are: eyes, nose, cheese, bath, chicken, Elmo and belly. Gavin the other day even said, "all-done da-da". They amaze us everyday. They probably have a vocabulary now of about 35+ words and growing everyday!!! Other than that, Gavin is finally getting more of his bottom teeth and Emme is already starting on getting her 2 year old molars!!! They all love to undress themselves and point to their bellies. It has been quite interesting around our house lately, to say the least!!! They are definately keeping us both on our toes!!! Hope this finds everyone well and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
November 10, 2007 Just 2 quick stories that I had to share.......Cadin was the first to get out of his crib this past week. I heard a thump followed by a cry in the morning this past week only to open the door and find Cadin standing there. Not sure how he did it or if it was intentional, but he did it!!! We always said he would be the first to do that....our little monkey!!! The last story happened last night and was so gross!!! I was home by myself, Kevin was working, and cleaning up the kitchen. Afterwards I sat down at the computer, which is right next to the playroom. To rewind a bit, the past couple days Emme has been undressing herself and running around the playroom naked, except for her diaper, her newest game she plays. Anyway do you see where this is headed??? So here I am at the computer and I got the overwhelming smell of POOP!!! Here I look and Emme is now COMPLETELY naked, holding her poopy diaper in her hand!!! When I look closer I see poop all over the room, and all 3 of them playing in it!!! It is everywhere on them......even their mouth!!! Yes!!! All 3 were eating it!!! I was so grossed out and had no clue where to even begin since I am home by myself and have no way to clean this up or contain them by myslef. All I have to say is Thank God for neighbors!!! Uncle Kevin was home and was able to come down quickly to help me contain them!!! We stripped them and threw them in the tub!!! Kevin, thank you again SO MUCH for your help!!! So they played in the tub while Uncle Kevin watched them and I cleaned up the room!!! So gross!!! I knew it was bound to happen and this has happened to a lot of people...just thought I would share. Hope you got a laugh out of it....I too can now laugh because yeasterday I surely couldn't!!! Take care everyone and have a Happy Thanksgiving, if I do not write til afterwards.
October 31, 2007 Happy Halloween!!! Today the triplets are celebrating their 2nd Halloween!!! Gavin is a dinoasaur, Emme is a duck, and Cadin is a monkey. We have had quite a busy day.......This morning our friends came over for a playdate, Ava and Mack....we all had a GREAT time!!! Aunt Danielle also visited us today and brought some yummy treats and some cool markers (thank you!!!). Also Mom-mom and Pop-pop came to see us in our costumes and brought us some yummy snacks and a pumkin cup (thank you!!!). Mom-mom and us all took a walk and did some trick-or-treating on the way. We got lots of candy and even playdough and had lots of fun seeing everyone at their houses and in their costumes. We even went through a mini-haunted house....it was lots of fun!!! Overall it was a great Halloween!!! Thank you to everyone!!! We have also had quite a busy past month. The triplets all had their seperate apppointments with the Neo-Natal follow-up program. They have been following their growth and motor/developmental skills of the triplets since they were 2 months premature. All did well and are at their corrective age of 16 months. They are all walking/running and saying about 20+words. They are still using a lot of sign language too (about 15-20 words also). We are amazed each day in what they learn!!! They also celebrated their 18 month brithday this month!!! I can't believe they are 1 1/2 already....where is the time going??? Before we know it they will be 2!!! We also had to visit our pediatrician for their 18 month check up. They all got their vaccines and also their flu shots. Gavin is still in the lead with the weight category but Cadin is now the leader in the height category. Here are their weight and height measurements: Gavin- 25 lbs. 6 oz; 32 1/2 inches Emmersyn- 21 lbs 10oz; 32 1/2 inches Cadin- 22 lbs; 33 inches All 3 are doing very well. We have had some weight issues with Cadin but he seems to be doing better. We started to supplement him with some pediasure to give him some extra calories and that seems to be helping. All of his tests results from his endoscopy came back negative and they are saying that it is "toddlers direhea". The doctor tells us that he will outgrow this when he is potty trained. Until then we have started giving him extra fiber and it has seems to be helping. Other than that we have just been trying to keep busy with playdates and some outings. We are all looking forward to the holidays as they are approaching quickly. Hope this finds everyone safe and healthy. Thank you all for all of your support and checking in on the triplets as they grow and learn everyday. They amaze us everyday!!!

September 16, 2007 Well, 2 more days until the triplets are 17 months....time is flying!!! All are quite active anymore and giving their mommy a run for her money.....especially Gavin!!! He use to be my "good" boy. Now he likes to be my "trouble" boy and not listen to mommy...everything is funny to him, even when he is getting yelled at!!! Emme is starting to learn how to share with her brothers...most of the time that is. Cadin has been having a lot of temper tantrums lately....I think his teeth have been really bothering him...he now has all 4 molars broken through. Cadin also has to go to Temple Children's Hospital this Wednesday to have an endoscopy done. He has been having problems with his stomach so they are going to take a peek at it and see if there is anything they can see. I will keep you all updated. Other than that we are just getting ready for the fall and Halloween.......no costumes picked out as of now. Til next time everyone....take care.
August 31, 2007 Well all 3 are now walking and climbing everywhere!!! Emme is also running!!! We have had a lot of fussy periods lately because all 3 are getting more teeth. Emme will soon have 14 teeth, Cadin will soon have 10 teeth and Gavin will soon have7-8 teeth. The only other exciting news is that I gave the boys thier first haircut!!! I finally had enough of everyone pulling everyone's hair that I was brave enough myself and cut their hair. What a challenge that was to keep them still enough to cut it-LOL!!! Check out the pictures that I posted. Other than that we have just been enjoying the summer and are hating to see it go. We have a fun weekend planned and are going to Mom-mom's and Pop-pops on Sunday for a Labor Day picnic with the family!!! :-) Until next time....Take Care.
July 31, 2007 Sorry I have not been able to update this more frequently....not sure where time is going!!! Anyway, a lot has been going on since last time. The triplets are now 15 months old!!! We were just at the doctors for their 15 month check up and all are doing very well!!! Gavin was 24.4 lbs and 31 inches, Emme is 20.4 lbs and 20 inches, and Cadin is 20.6 lbs and our tallest at 31 1/2 inches. I have been a bit more daring and attempting to take the triplets out by myself. We have had a couple playdates with their friends,Catherine, Colton, and another set of triplets (see pictures), Maddyn, Luke and another Gavin, which all have been a blast!!! We also went to go visit Great-Grandma Barnette, where they had a lot of fun with her and their 2nd cousins. The triplets also went to their first parade on the 4th of July and they did awesome!!! No crying, only dancing...Emme loved the music especially!!! Just this past week we went up to see Grandma and Grandpa Eckenrode for a week. The triplets had a blast with them for a week and it was great for Kevin and I to have some extra set of hands....thanks Mom and Dad!!! :-) I guess the biggest set of news is that Emme and Cadin and both walking!!! Cadin is also the dare devil and is also climbing up everything, which now it is very hard for mommy and daddy to leave them to play. Gavin isn't quite walking yet, a few steps by himself, but will walk everywhere with the push toy...he's getting there!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT summer and we will try to keep you all better updated. Till next time....take care!!! :-) Oh yeah and we just got a new triplet stroller...check out the pictures....I LOVE IT!!! :-)
P.S.-Don't forget to sign the guestbook. :-)
May 25, 2007 Forgot to tell everyone their weights at their 1 year check-up....... Gavin - 22 lbs 5 oz Emme - 18 lbs. 12 oz Cadin - 19 lbs. 0 oz Not much else is new....no walking yet, just a lot of cruising!!! Also when I looked in Emme's mouth yeaterday I saw she had another tooth to make it 9!!! However, when I looked better today I was totally mistaken....she didn't have one new tooth....she had 4 new teeth!!! For a grand total of 12!!! She is kicking her brother's butt in teeth!!! LOL!!! Not much else to report, just looking forward to the summer and all the warm weather!!! :-)
April 27, 2007 Well their birthday has come and gone!!! April 18th they turned ONE!!! Where did that year go??? I can't believe how big my babies are getting!!! We had their 1st birthday party on the 21st and everything went great. The weather was gorgeous and all in all, they all behaved, especially for having over 40 people in their house!!! To catch everone up on what they are doing......All 3 are standing now and Emme and Cadin are starting to cruise. Emme actually walked across the room the other day while holding onto her walker toy-I couldn't believe it!!! Emme has 8 teeth, Cadin has 6 and Gavin still in last place with 3-lol!!! They are doing very well though with eating "people" food and all are on whole milk now-Thank God no more formula and no more $500 a month for it!!! Well, I have to run....will try to update this more later.
March 3, 2007 Well it's official!!! Cadin is now mobile and crawling EVERYWHERE, as of today!!! I was watching TV in the room next to their playroom and all of the sudden I see him at my door and crawling past!!! It was too funny!!! :-) Other than that teriffic news....Cadin now has 2 teeth. (Gavin still with 0, Emme still with 6) Gavin is army crawling across the room and has also learned how to make a clicking noise with his tongue...he LOVES to do it!!! I guess that has been all for this past week other than trying new foods.....check out the new pictures of them eating spagetti and meat sauce. LOL!!!
February 23, 2007 Just wanted to do a quick update..........Sunday the triplets had their 10 month birthday!!! I can't believe it!!! Where is the time going??? Already starting to plan thier 1st birthday party....lots to do!!! They also celebrated their first Valentines Day!!! Anyway.....Cadin got his first tooth on Monday!!! Gavin still has none, but they are starting to move up...hopefully soon!!! Emme still has 6. My most exciting news to tell everyone though is that all 3 are FINALLY saying "ma-ma" and "mom"!!! I am so happy!!! :-) Another exciting thing that happened this week..... I have been teaching the triplets sign language for the past couple months and this past week Cadin signed the word "milk" for the first time!!! Other than that not much else is new. We took them to the doctors today for their synergyst shot and had them weighed. All 3 gained 6 oz over the past month. Gavin is now 21 lbs, Emme is 17.6 lbs and Cadin is 17.12 lbs. Poor Gavin... :-) Still attempting to get my new website up, hopefully soon. Until then....take care.
January 26, 2007 So we had our 9 month check-up yeasterday, and boy are they growing!!! Gavin now weighs a whopping 20.11 lbs, Emme is still the smallest at 17.1 lbs and Cadin is still stuck in the middle at 17.11 lbs. It is still so hard for me to believe that they are over 9 months already!!! Where did the time go??? Emme just got her 4th tooth today and 2 more are ready to come in any day. The boys still have NO teeth....can you believe it??? That's my girl-LOL!!! Gavin started to get PT this past week since he is slightly lacking some muscle tone since he was premature. But let me tell you....I think he is almost at the same level that his brother and sister are at. All 3 are scooting backwards and now up on their knees and rocking getting ready to crawl any day now. Boy-what my house will be like then!!! LOL!!! Well, that is all I can think of now to catch all of you up. Until later-take care!!! FYI- I am starting up a different website for the triplets but it is still a work in progress. I will let you know when it is finished and give you the new address.
