Family

Chad and I met way back in 1980 at our church in Victorville.  It took me until 1989 to "go for it" and asked Chad to the prom.  He said yes and we finally started dating on June 23, 1990.  Chad supported me while I attended Cal State Northridge and we FINALLY got married on June 12, 1999.

We made our home in a rental house in Apple Valley.  Chad worked for Kitchen's Transport driving truck and delivering cement powder.  With his busy schedule and very long hours, we rarely saw each other.  I was working for Charter Hospital in Corona until they closed their doors in February of 2000.  I then found 3 part time jobs at Knollwood Center in Riverside, Loma Linda Children's Hospital, where I still work today, and  at a pre-school on Apple Valley.

In April of 2001, we got the news that we were expecting our first baby and we were VERY excited.  I quit my job at Knollwood and continued at Loma Linda and at the pre-school.

On January 11, 2002, Savannah Kayley Margaret Lang was born at St. Mary's Medical Center in Apple Valley.  We were so happy and finally felt complete as a family.

In April of 2002, I quit my job at the pre-school and stayed at home to care for Savannah.  I worked the weekends at Loma Linda and Grandma Pat and Nana Alana watched Savannah every other Saturday.

Chad went to work for his current employer Superior ready Mix in June of 2003.  This has worked out so much better for us as he is home every night and is off every Sunday!

In November of 2003 we learned we were expecting baby number 2!  This time, we found out the sex of the baby before delivery.  On July 21, 2004, Landon Dietrich Allen Lang was born at Victor Valley Community Hospital in Victorville.  When Chad and I first saw him, we both were amazed at how much he looked like his Grandpa Rolf!  We see Grandpa in him every day and this is a wonderful reminder of my late father, Rolf D. Ritschel.
