Yea for early birds, I am so glad for the break in your schedule. Like having 4 kids doesn't make you busy enough. Love you tons, -Mom Aug 28 2008
Not that it is the same at all but Brad and I have gone this first year of parenthood with both of our family far away. Of course we have a support network here so it is different but we have learned ways to help with the distance. If you and the family get a web cam you can use skype (for free) to video chat with them whenever you want. Our family has been able to even see Elijah's first steps. Yes it is hard not having family close by but once you make some friends and other families it gets a lot easier. You can not discount how much easier your life would be if the cost of living wasn't so high. Of course we would miss you though. -Karin Herman (http://ElijahHerman.com) Aug 28 2008
Hi Julie, Well it has been awhile since I have visited the site. I hope you post pictures of your time in New York. The camping trip looked like a lot of fun for the family. I can't wait to do that stuff with our family.
WOW..a big move to Rochester NY. Life is very different on the east coast then it is in the OC. I grew up in PA and I can't wait to go back. Whatever decision you & Christian decide I know will be the right one for your entire family. And like Tina W. says you can always hop on a plane to visit Family. I do it all the time with my girls. Good Luck and can't wait to hear the final decision. Plus cost of living is so Cheap compared to out here in Southern California.
Hope all the kids have a wonderful 1st day of school. Happy Birhtday to Landon!!! I won't get a chance to stop by this weekend. Have a great party and can't wait to see pictures.
Love from Greece, Melissa -bhp/tzetzosfamily Aug 28 2008
No Comment! Boo Hoo!! I understand, but am not a happy camper right now. Boo Hoo!! :o(
-Sissy Aug 27 2008
Wow, what a decision. I thought I had a tough one when we just bought our house & we were going to switch states but we would have been moving right next door, we live were NY, NJ, & PA meet. We ended up staying in NY because our oldest didn't want to switch schools...12 year olds! I will be praying that God will help lead you in the right direction & I know He will. Gosh, are you ready for real winters than? Rochester gets LOTS of snow. Can not wait to see some new pics. Brooke C. -~www.csencsitsgirls.com~ Aug 27 2008
Hey Torresluna Family.....
WOW it has been a little while since I have been by due to lack of internet and in shocked I am. You know you could always move to my area and have a nice huge house 3000 + a farm and horses and at half the cost you would pay in the the OC. You will only be an hour and half away from the OC. No I pray you guys make the right decision. Family is so important but at the same time you can always hop on a plane to come home! I can not wait to see all of your PICS from your mini vacation and PICS from Landon's 3rd bday party. Have a good day....
Hugs, -Tina W Aug 27 2008
WOW! That's a big move! Our families are scattered from Canada to the Middle East, so I am used to it. When we moved from outside of DC to Florida, our condo was 440K (1 mile from the Washington Monument) and in FL the homes are about 250. You could buy your home outright and still fly back to CA a lot! I'd make a trip up there to see you guys. We need an East Coast BHP meetup! Then, I could travel to the best city on Earth. Boston. (That was for you, Stacey! LOL) Can't wait for pics of the bday party! -Lauren Aug 27 2008
Hi Julie, Wow what a decision you have to make. I could never leave my family. There all within miles of us. Rochester is not an expensive area so if you wanna save money thats a good place to go. Long Island and CT have the HIGHEST cost of living in the USA! We have a 3500sq ft. home here and it cost us $550k... and that was 4 years ago! Wow 150k seems great! lol Good luck with your decision.. Hey we just might get new Mets & Giant Fans... yeah! lol I'll pray god leads you to make the right choice! -God bless, The Giuffre's Aug 27 2008
Wow!!! I really didn't think you were serious. Dad and I will support whatever decision you two make and we will pray. I would love for you to have a home, but I would miss all of you like crazy and things would be much different. Love you tons, we'll talk when you have a chance. Hugs -Mom Aug 27 2008
Sounds like you had a GREAT time in New York. We look forward to seeing all the pictures you took and hearing about the Kodak museaum when you get a chance.
School on Thursday! Wow have fun. I sure hope that you get Emma's schudule changed to mornings. I loved having the boys in school first thing that way they could come home and take a little nap and they NEEDED it after a half of day at school. -The Lowe family Aug 25 2008
WELCOME HOME!!
I am looking forward to seeing all the pics you took.
-Sissy Aug 24 2008
Hey. By the way, a fun NY fact for you. What did the immigrants receive as a snack when they landed on Ellis Island? Jello! It was on Sesame Street today. -Lauren Aug 22 2008
Yeah glad you had a safe trip.. The skyline of Manhattan which you saw from the plane is gorgeous... You probably saw the NEW Mets Stadium.. YEAH GO METS.. RED SOX stink!!!!!!! New York is very beautiful! Take in all the sites.. Although you are about 10 hours away from us it's good to have ya here! Rochester is very rural, so try to get to The City, The Big Apple! To me all the states are beautiful! Enjoy NY and get offline, and have some fun! Updated when ya get home girl! lol P.S. I got some stuff for ya at the house all ready.. To bad you can't stop by and pick them up.. LOL
-All the best! Your NEW YORK bud, Stacey G. Aug 22 2008
Sounds like you are having fun. It probably was Yankee Stadium that you saw. EWWW Although I know the Mets are getting a new stadium downtown soon. Have a relaxing time... -Lauren Aug 22 2008
Oh Julie! How sweet of you to claim Sweeden a 'best dressed' baby! You are fueling my fire! LOL! I'll blame my next shopping spree on you to my husband! I doubt he'll go for that though. HA! I'd rather dress her than me though, it's much more fun!
You asked why are family is so spread out. My husband's family is. He is Bermudian and born there. His father still resides there. His mother divorced and returned to Germany where she is from. His sister now lives in Dubai following her Englishman husband there on business. So, yes we do have lots of family places. My parents are in the N.C. mountains which isn't but 5 1/2 hours away. Not close enough to babysit on a whim, but better than international. It'll be good for Sweeden to visit all those countries when she's older during the summer, but for now I wish they were closer to 'help out.' Oh well, it's all we know and we make do. My husband is a pilot so he's gone lots, so it makes me feel like a single mom at times. But, my daughter's my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Can't wait to see your NY pics! Hang on to your wallet! (I've experienced pick-pocketing there firsthand.) Take care!
I'll stop by again soon! :) Melissa R. -BHP/sweeden Aug 21 2008
Wow, Julie! Sounds like you are having TONS of fun in NY. =) Enjoy...
Jamie -bhp/ejhaynes Aug 21 2008
I'll be thinking of you guys while you're on your NY adventure! I can't wait to hear all about it! Hope you have a wonderful time together! Praying for safe flights!
I'm sure the kids will have a wonderful time while you're gone. Hope your heart doesn't hurt for them too much while you're away...
Love and prayers always, Your BHPBFF - Aug 20 2008
Have a FUN and safe trip to New York we look forward to reading and seeing all about it when you return. -The Lowefamily Aug 20 2008

Hi Julie,

Hugs, Julie Ieluzzi -bhp/babyieluzzi Aug 16 2008
Just checking in on your fam! Sounds like things are going swimmingly! Sounds like the solids are a big hit. I think Rylan is going to be on solids before we know it. He is such a big boy.
Anyhow! Kids look awesome! Glad you are enjoying your summer...
Much Love, -Michelle (bhp.net/aultman) Aug 16 2008
I was hoping someone noticed the theme with the dress and background. Isn't the background super yummy? I would love to send some clothes for Ava. Give me sizes, seasons, etc. Do you have any 4T sweaters or long-sleeves? (Does it even get that cold in CA?)
-Lauren Aug 15 2008
I just wanted to tell you that the spatial marble game/activity is SO fun! I think I am going to order the expansion set next week. A perfect rainy day activity. We played with it/redesigning it for HOURS yesterday evening during a major storm. Have fun in NY! Don't let any of those nasty Yankee fans get in your way! LOL -Lauren/quinnalexa Aug 14 2008
Dear Family,
Tonight at 4p.m. I was at our Alma Mater, Hope International University . . a.k.a. our family school. I attended orientation to the school of graduate studies. Next Monday and Tuesday are my first 2 classes. In October I take the CSET and in few words, I am a GRAD Student on my way to what I hope to be an inspirational teacher.
I felt sick through the whole thing. This is a major career change paid with a lot of personal sacrafice. I just ask God to help me with all my new commitments and goals and HOPE. I ask that you please say a little prayer. Onto what I hope will be better things, security and moreso, happiness. Please also pray that I get my texts on time for class. All $260.00 of them . . . One of the classes I am taking is online (starts Monday) and the other Tuesday will be on HIU's new campus in Orange from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Will keep you posted.
Hope everyone is good. I haven't looked at the pics yet, so I may be back to comment. Talk to ya later. .. .Auntie Tete.a.k.a. HIU Grad Student -Tete Aug 12 2008
Hey guys, Great pics.. I was never ever a camping person! I can't take the bugs and mosquitos.. If I go camping its gonna be in Nov.. lol Glad you all had a good time! School starts on Sept 3rd and were all ready! I miss ya on our site. Come stop by hun! -Love ya, Stacey G. & kids Aug 12 2008
Looks like you had a BLAST camping! I love the board game idea why out and about for the day. We might just have to try that one. The boys start to get board in the afternoons when its really not a good time to go fishing and I haven't found anything to keep all five of them happy at once. -The lowefamily Aug 12 2008
Looks like it was a great camping trip. I sure do miss those days when I could sleep on the ground at night and still stand up in the morning! I'm looking forward to pictures from New York soon.
Love,
Stephanie -Stephanie Rodriguez Aug 12 2008
Looks like so much fun! We need to go camping. Maybe next year... The lake at night is beautiful. -Lauren Aug 12 2008
Hey Julie!
Our camping trip was wonderful... great weather, great fun, great kids, and great company! A little extra work (mostly just pounding the tent stakes in) without the Daddy along, but otherwise it was a fantastic weekend!
Congrats on the trip to N.Y. Sounds like so much fun! Lots of prayers for a safe trip! I can't wait to hear all about it!!
Looking forward to more pictures soon... Can't get enough of the Torresluna kids! I have a zillion pics to post and should be doing that...lol
Hugs and kisses to everyone! Love, Kristin - Aug 11 2008
Hi Jules,
Just wanted to let you know that mom and I miss Ava. It's scary how utterly good that baby is!!! She was a pleasure. Anyways, just a little reminder of that snapping tongue was just a little trick I taught her. :) I guess we'll see her in a couple more weeks.
Talk to ya later . . please post pics of your camping trip.
-Tete Aug 11 2008
Thank you so much for stopping by our site! I've visited yours several times before. You always have cute layouts and neat ideas. I don't know how you find time! LOL!
You have a gorgeous family! Looks like you all are enjoying your summer and making the most of it! The baseball game looked like fun. Congrats for winning the Universal Studio package! How remarkable!
I'll be stopping in again soon! You do the same. :) Melissa & Sweeden Rose -www.babyhomepages.net/sweeden Aug 11 2008
Hello Julie. It has been a very long time since I have stopped by last & also signed the guestbook. I can not believe how big Ava is! Wow...I think I need to stop by more often. I love the pictures of the kidlets, even though Landon is not smiling. I have had a few of those sessions. I am glad to hear that you all made out well through the quake. That is one thing that I like about the East Coast, only blizzards here. Well I hope you had a wonderful time camping & I will make sure that I stop by more often. Brooke Csencsits -~www.csencsitsgirls.com~ Aug 10 2008
What a wonderful surprise it was to see the Torresluna family minus Ava. We love it when we get to see you! It was great seeing the new truck too. It's beautiful! Looking forward to all your pics from your vacation....
-Sissy Aug 10 2008
Hi T Family, Just swinging over to say HAPPY SATURDAY. It's a gorgeous cool day here on Long Island and were off to a b-day party later... Kiss the kissos for me! -Love, Stacey G. & kids Aug 09 2008
Looks like the game was fun, but hot!!! So happy you all had a great time! Congrats on the win. Now we all just have to get rid of Tampa! -Lauren/quinnalexa Aug 07 2008
Jul, You gotta get yourself over to Long Island.. Rochester is a bit boring. LOL Try getting yourself over to Manhatten at night.... now thats beautiful..., have a amazing time!!!!!!!! -Hugs from NY, Stacey G. Aug 06 2008
Just looking at the pictures of the Dodger game, made me HOT!! I love that you took the LA transit to & from the game. More of us should be like your family. ☺ I loved the train museum, where is that located at?? It looks like a place our family would enjoy.
Enjoy the rest of the very warm summer. Have fun on your trip to New York!!
Love, Melissa -bhp/tzetzosfamily Aug 05 2008
Loved the Dodger game pictures. How excited for your mom to be on the field. I can't emagine how hot and miserable it had to be for you all.
Enjoy your camping trip! -The Lowes Aug 05 2008
How exciting for you, New York City!!! You two deserve a little time away from the chaos, have a great time! -Stephanie Rodriguez Aug 05 2008
